It's a long weekend in Canterbury so Mrs Biggles and I decided to have an adventure. We took the transalpine train from Rolleston to Greymouth on Friday and spent the weekend there before heading home on Sunday via the same transport. The weather was good and there was time for some wandering and cache finding. Solved this puzzle a while ago and found the cache today. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.
Day twenty six of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Spending the day at rainy Greymouth.Started the day in the Mawhera Pa Experience. Very interesting tour.It was still raining so we collected some AdLabs and a few caches along the way.Don't think I ever saw this movie.Didn't mean I had a problem with the puzzle, ot the hide for that matter. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 24 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and we are now in Greymouth for 3 nights. Today the weather was so awful we looked for indoor activities and attended the amazing Mawhera Pa Experience. After lunch some of the braver souls headed out to do some AdLabs we could do by car. In the end we did them all and some caches as well. Had to be super careful the log books didn't end up in Christchurch though. Thanks for contributing to our amazing holiday gracie7 + Mum One of the many puzzles we solved in preparation for this trip.
Decided to go for a bike ride and spotted this easy puzzle to head for. Nice day to be out and about. TFTC
While out on our walk today we passed by here just to do a random check.
We did remove the rock with a white X painted on it from the hide so the cache isn't removed accidently.
All good here. Happy Caching

We unexpectedly found ourselves in Greymouth with a day to spare. Nice quick find at GZ here
Solved this one a couple of days ago while in the hotel. Pretty straight forward and glad to collect it today
After dinner it was time to hop on the bike to make a few more finds before dark.
A bit of fun was had counting items in the picture. I wish I’d had my grandson helping me. My fingers were nearly too big to extract the camo but calling upon my utmost dexterity I got there.

On my way to Franz Joseph I picked up all my solved puzzle, are not many because I could not find so many code and get no help. Also 2 no find.
Thanks was a great trip.
Thanks was a great trip.
Stayed at free camping area down the road. I solved last night. On our way out we found this. Need little hands to retrieve. Thanks for the cache Gracie7
This has been on our solved puzzle list for such a long time. Today we made a short detour to collect a smilie here. Park was empty today as we made our way to gz for a quick find. TFTC
Found with NZDi. After grabbing a quartet of caches in the Shantytown area plus another nearby PnG on the way back, we hopped on our bikes and headed south down the West Coast Wilderness Trail to try and avenge some DNFs from a previous visit almost two years ago. That was this morning's mission. We decided to go over the other side of the river and try our luck on the Rewanui Walkway after lunch. Having avenged a DNF at the start of the Coal Creek Track and completed what is left of the Rewanui Walkway, we decided to do a couple of park and grabs and visit Cobden before returning to Greymouth for dinner. After dinner I made a list of the caches we had found today and it totalled 23. That is not goog. NZDi has an OCD issue which means even numbers are required, so after dinner we came here to get one last cache. A QEF PnG.
NZDi and I decided to spend a few days based in Greymouth between Christmas and New Years as a geocaching break from our greater family, who we are having three camping/caravanning holidays between 17 Dec 2021 and 24 Jan 2022. Over five days we cached the 'Grey' area taking in such places as the Larriken Track, Omutumotu Bush Walk, Mahinapua Tramway, Brunner Mine Site including both sides of the Grey River as far as Stillwater, Hokitika Gorge, Woodstock Rimu Heritage Trail, Rewanui Walkway, some Survivor series puzzles we missed on a previous visit as well as a few PnGs in between the various locations. This area certainly provides a veritable pot pourri for geocachers. Our logs were either in full or abridged to KM + ND as log space permitted.
Thanks to all to CO's who placed and maintained these caches, especially G7&M and H&H. However from the amount of pill bottles used as cache containers, we have serious concerns about your respective health and wish you all the best in that respect. As a token of our gratitude, we left a token of our appreciation behind which will become apparent in due course.

On a trip with Ruru_NZ to gather the tour caches needed or in my case not done yet. Should be able to knock them off on this trip.
Another puzzle sorted and found. I’m getting a lot better at some of these puzzles now.

Another series!?! Thank goodness this one is not as long. Found this one and will work on others for a later visit to Greymouth. TFTC.
Day 7 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
A fine day on the coast.
Solved this in anticipation of the trip and was an easy find. Am of the generation that the classics were what we watched on a Sunday night.

It's taken a long time to get to log this Puzzle Cache after solving this puzzle in May 2016. A reasonably quick find at GZ with log in good condition. TFTC and Puzzle gracie7
Cute wee puzzle I'd solved with my grandies ages ago Lovely to sign off while in Greymouth tonight thx.
Last one before going back to the hotel to check on my little ones - well they're 13 and 16 and both taller than me now so not really little anymore. A very empty area today so no problems with muggles. A good hint and it was soon signed and returned. Thanks
In Greymouth for the weekend with lytteltonwitch. We came with a list - to find the TMGT caches, the Adventure Labs series and any other finds were bonuses.
Thank you for this cache, gracie7. Definitely a bonus; we had both solved this one before coming away.

(# 6205). Day 12 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting some caches around Greymouth as well as having a good look around. Solved ages ago. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Decided needed a mini holiday before the final push for Christmas close out. The new Geotour caches gave a destination to aim for but following some planning with muggle 'MinionOne' we decided to do the tourist loop across Arthur's Pass then back home via Hasst Pass.
Had a lovely meal at the local brewery then decided as it was a still night to head out and grab a few caches in the area whilst there are no muggles out and we would remain dry.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Away again on another 3 day mission with rustynz and Rebel98, This time Lyttleton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Punakaiki, Blenheim, Picton and Kaikoura are in our targets, mainly to collect the Geotour caches and to have a heap of fun!
Our 2nd day and my cohorts said to me we'd meet up back at the Hostel for breakfast, so I have time for a few more mystery caches to pick up before then. this cache wasn't too hard to find today, absolutely no one on the roads this early. Thanks gracie7 for a nice easy puzzle to solve.

Got caught trying to find this one before our event, was mentioned we couldn't find it so we all walked down to look. Nope looks like it is missing... We had our repair kit handy and with CO permission and supervision we signed replacement log and new cache container put in it hidey hole for next finder. Thanks for the fun puzzle
Found it , this one disappeared on me when I solved the puzzle, strange but it reappeared again so had to go and tick him off ! Thank u
A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 18 Greymouth to Murhison 16 caches found. I had the morning in Greymouth before seeing a friend off on the Trans Alpine train. This was the first for the day. Thank you for the placement.

Today we are heading to the North Island. I am just passing through some TBs so they get the correct milage. Happy Caching
An easy find on an very early morning walk. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for this puzzle cache.
Seeing that I had gone out with big bro, BaldEd, a couple of days ago to locate and sign Survivors # 12 - 33 it was time to locate and sign off the rest also to pick up any other solved puzzles and trads on the way. So it was onto the bikes again for a ride into town.
Cheers for the cache.

Solved this some time ago but didn't divert to it when we did the West Coast Wilderness Trail. Back on the coast for work this week so grabbed it after finishing a site nearby. TFTC
T-Tech and I are travelling around South Island for 6 weeks
We stayed at Greymouth last night, and today we are driving back across to Christchurch through Arthur's Pass [^] T-Tech did some counting last night and realised he needed a couple more puzzles to claim a Challenge, so set about solving some. Today we took the wander to his GZ, but that had us on someone's fence so we redid the solving and came up with a better set. The cache was found easily there. TFTC, gracie7.

Over from Brisbane for a number of weeks "motorhoming" around the South Island with IolantheK [^]
Now on our way back to the west coast before heading East again via Arthur's Pass, and grabbing caches between views [^]
Greymouth was great [^]
Enjoyed the puzzle although IolantheK had to do it again as the location I went looking at didn't work out
Cache in good condition [^]

As is usual, solving is up to debsnz and the finding is my responsibility. This one was a quick find thanks to accurate co-ords. Found with debsnz
We stayed the night in Greymouth after a trip on the Tranzalpine which gave us the opportunity to find a few caches. Found with AorakiSheep
Stayed overnight in Greymouth so decided to score a couple of solved puzzles before leaving first thing the next morning. A quick find here - signed log, TFTC!
We had solved this one prior to our previous visit to Greymouth, but on that occasion we somehow had the hint wrong, and ended up searching in the wrong place. Returned today and crossed the road to the correct GZ and made a quick find. Thanks.
Had a short stop on our way to the "waterfront".. and picked up this mystery I already answered at home in Germany..
Greetings and thanks

Cute wee Bambi was found just before Muggle Teens had walked towards us.TFTH
Solved this puzzle last night and this morning eltee291 and I went and found the cache! quick find at gz, very quiet around there today. Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Canada. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache!
Quick find this morning with hingis20 who workd out the coords for this cache. Stayed in Greymouth overnight and are now headed back to Punakaiki and then Blenheim. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
Solved the puzzle so off to the final. Container soon located and logbook signed.
After visiting the Pancake Rocks and having lunch, I spent the rest of the day caching along the coastline. Solved the puzzle during lunch break. TFTC.
After spending a night in Greymouth in our campervan we got the bikes off the rack again. Yesterday we biked along the track towards town. Today's mission was the other way. Then lunch was on the agenda. We made the executive decision to do more biking instead of visiting Hokitika. Next time we head to the coast we will stay there.
So off we went into town. The wind had got quite cold. Thanks for the cache. I enjoyed solving this puzzle a while ago.

After a BIG break for lunch my wife was getting itchy feet. She is a geocaching addict. I just keep her company at times. So off we went on our bikes again. My wife solved the puzzle.
Making our way to Westport for the long weekend and collecting caches on the way.
Really enjoyed solving this Disney puzzle series.

Yay, our first mystery puzzle find! Once we figured out how to do these mystery ones and how to search the new coordinates on phone - the actual find was a quick one, lucky cause lots of Muggles passing by. Street name is appropriate too - good one! Thanks.
I was so proud solving this cache until Holymu told me she'd done it already. Oh well. It was fun and a quick find. Thank you Grace7 + Mum
A day caching around Greymouth picking up mainly puzzle caches and this was one of them. It was solved long ago and has been waiting for us to make the effort to look for it. Today was that day.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

Over in greymouth for the Easter weekend, travelling with injeanious. We stopped in Arthur's pass along the way, although had several dnfs there. So far we have had better luck in greymouth. Solved this one last night, and it was found quickly although was sitting right next to a weta which had us reluctant to grab the cache. The weta wasn't too keen on us and hopped along so the cache was quickly signed. Thanks for the hide!
On a geocaching Easter holiday on the West Coast with Jess.daphne. After we arrived we decided to grab some caches around Greymouth.
It's always nice to grab a few mysteries. This was a good park and grab. I was surprised to find a weta at GZ. So glad I didn't put my hand on it!. Tftc.

Puzzle solved in Friesland, The Netherlands and now on holiday in NZ able to log this one. Thanks!
During our holiday preparation we solved around 40 puzzles in New Zealand. After checking in it was time to get some of these. Thank you for the puzzle-series and the cache.
After checking in at the hotel and swimming a few laps in the pool we went out for dinner and caching.
We had already solved the puzzle at home, so we could go directly to the cache. Thx for the puzzle and the cache.

Thanks for this nice mystery cache.

I saw this puzzle and thought my 8 year old daughter would enjoy it. Solved it easily but since we live in Okaihau (Northland, NZ) we won't be down to collect the smile anytime soon. Thanks for a family friendly puzzle

On the return trip to Christchurch today after a couple of caching days on the coast. Nice simple puzzle, perhaps pitched at cachers a bit younger than me... - I'll take the smiley regardless! . TFTC (2202)
A plan was hatched during the week for a raid on the West Coast on some of the various caches placed over this way. In scope were the pack of cards power trail (gracie7 = mum), some Greymouth ones in town, a Wherigo, Earthcache, missing D/T combo at Blackball, some pre solved puzzle caches and anything else that took our eye on the way past. Setting off with co pilot the seagnoid (I drive, he directs) we left Blenheim at 0600 (should have left at 0500 because we were driving some of it in daylight, and not caching, a waste of daylight!) All up another epic day; just under a hundred finds, 3 or 4 F T Fs, over 700 kms on the speedo, 15 hours driving and some new scenery seen (should that be saw-ery). We saw Wekas (well I did anyway, t S saw a goat on a goat house and lots of coal, but then what do you expect!) The weather was kind, the sun shone a bit and the temp hit 18 degrees at one point, thanks West Coast,
Thanks to all the C Os whose caches we found today, some logs were signed C T S to save some log book space, others a scrawl and the date 2/5.
A presolved puzzle and just come off the walkway so a P N G really, used the car as cover

[green] An awesome day trip with Capperz. FTFs, earthcache, wherigo, a cache deep in a mine, an F T F on a cache yet to be published and a 52 cache power trail. 98 caches in all, we were caching in the dark and too tired to bother with trying to get to 100 (and I have done 100 in a day before). But it also involved a 3.5 hour drive from Blenheim to Greymouth, and another 3.5 hour drive back. Plus weka and goats (I'm claiming the goat, but alas, can only claim one weka. Capperz trumps me easily with a full house: three weka and a couple of weka). And rats and possums...
One of many solved unknown caches here. Alas, did not have time to get around them all, but that just means I will be back!!

On an epic caching mission with Shannonp1 through Reefton to Greymouth over the Lewis Pass, cacheing in Greymouth then returning to Rangiora via Arthurs Pass over two days. Final count for the weekend was over 200 caches. Quick easy find on our way past after solving at home.
