After a bit of a search we soon had the cache in hand. Thank you for the hunt gregandjudi

Micheena and I arrived at the GZ and with spot on coords it wasn't to long before we had the cache in hand. Signed the log and returned it to it's hiding spot. TFTC
Was quite a search but did find it. Looked in that same spot several times. Brilliant hide! Cache has been replaced. Byo pen.
We loved this town's gardens, art and monuments. We were also very impressed with the preservation of the station area. I couldn't see the cache even when I was looking right at it, but luckily Cybergran V assured me it was really there. It's really good caching with others. TFTC
What a picturesque little spot and well deserving of a cache. And what a clever hide it was too, I was so lucky to have spotted it
It's a bit of a conundrum. I seem to remember this cache from a couple of years ago. The description says it was placed 09/04/2012, but the log-book goes back several years before this date. I'm in the log as having found it this cache on 22/10/11, but I must not have recorded it on line, as it does not appear on my found caches around this date. I still think that this is one of the cleverest caches I have found. Congratulations on it. Today I did not sign log, but as it does not appear on my previous list of finds I'm now claiming it on today's date, not the date in the log.
Cache looks nothing like the photo, has been changed. Location about 1m from where gps says. Tftf
This one took a good while longer than we expected. Got it in the end thankfully.

Looked in every hidey hole we could think of but unable to lay our hands on it. Will be back soon to have another look
Muggled again - suspect this may be a favoured drinking spot for some locals. A new type of hide will jopefully keep it safe. Rail line about yo be reopened as well.
Well we found this cache up on the corner of the platform tucked in neatly to a VB can, so have hidden it near to where it was so hopefully it stay safe tftc
This was our 1st cache find in the caching run & we found it at 14:32
So this now makes our total find count 6204.
[blue]
We've arrived a little early for the CVGT, so today has been a great opportunity to clean up all the caches we haven't found before any new ones get published.
We are staying in the caravan park in town and really couldn't leave without doing this one.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Under 2 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape, but has been muggled by "Mike" who signed the log.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks gregandjudi for the hunt today.

Apologies for the late logging. I only just discovered a whole bunch of field notes that never uploaded. This cache was found with La Kedi whilst we were attending a weekend family reunion milestone birthday party in the area. TFTC gregandjudi
I grinned when we got to this one, having discussed the existence of a station with a couple of local residents last night - it was exactly what I was expecting . Amazingly we had to wait for a muggle to stroll past, but once he'd gone, it was a quick find and the cache was in good condition. Definitely no trains today! TFTC, gregandjudi. =^.^=
Seems now all good with this one. Pity our once extensive rail system seems to be systematically dismantled. TFTC
A nice little find taking us to a great part of history in the Tongala area. T.f.t.c

Well, that's an interesting way to begin the new year... it appears from the note left in the log book that the container was appropriated by someone wanting something to carry their "stash" in. The last cachers kindly gathered the contents in a baggie, and that's how I found it.
It seemed prudent to take the TB I found with the rest and put it somewhere safer.
Thanks, gregandjudi.

Interesting to see the old station. We found a plastic bag with log and cache information and a few trinkets. It was just lying on the ground and there was no hard container. We put the bag in the obvious spot near the co-ordinates. TFTC

GeoDad grew up in Tongala - so a trip down memory lane - he even remembers when there was a station here. TFTC.
Found with Blacklegend and Team RJay on an atrociously miserable day... rain, wind and 11 degrees :0 I'm heading over to NZ to team up and cache on in a week or two, so this'll be it with Blacklegend at least in Victoria. Cheers, Bro!
Found with Blacklegend and XD1 on a rainy, wind and 11 degrees :0 I thought Aussie was hot!
Found on a run over to Echuca with my good mate XD1 aka Richard... This is possibly the last Aussie run me and Richard will do, as he is heading over to NZ to live this month.... Even thought the weather was atrocious, with torrential rain and thunder storms, we braved it making the run to Echuca via Tongala. There were some caches we just couldn't get to unfortunately, but we did get a grand total of 9 which included two multis....
This was the first for the day, a quick find which Richo grabbed in the rain. TFTC.

You just have to love the school holidays. It means I have to take time off work to look after the kids. Today we had a few hours spare and I wanted to head north to have personal look at some things listed on ebay. So the kids and I piled in the car and made a day of it caching as we went. I'd like to stop at every cache I could be we cached as opportunities presented themselves today, and this was one of them. Thanks for the cache.
Easy find while caching with 1 aussie fun seeker.
Signed log and replaced. TNLN TFTC.

Found at 11:55 AM GAFF1. Now this was a little easier to extract than the Tankyou cache! Actually it was quite exposed and ready to be muggled.
Thanks gregandjudi
Thanks gregandjudi
was looking in the wrong place to start with until I checked my co ords, then easy find. tftc
Second geo find good hiding spot left message and an elastic band because I didn't have anything else
Quick find on our way home from an Echuca caching weekend. Thanks for the cache.
Day 3 on a road-trip to the north-west of Victoria with DazRascal to tick off a few more maps for the VIC Country Road Atlas Challenge cache.
We were quite suprised when we navigated to the next cache to see this one so close, and under the "161 metre" rule, however, it is there, and an interesting spot none the less.
Located the cache quickly and signed log whilst Micro Ez waved to "Bear Grylls" in a micro light flying overhead.
Many thanks gregandjudi. Cheers.

Traveling around the NW of the state with the Haveanez clan to pick up maps needed for the Atlas challenge.
A quick find by Mrs H as Little and Big Ez went on a pit stop run. Not sure how this one got published with the 161mt rule, but here it is.
Saw no trains today, pretty quiet all round actually except for a lone micro light buzzing over head, and Micro Ez (2yo) was convinced it Bear Grylls. Took him a while to work out he wasn't coming back
TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

Last for the day... quick find... Thanks guy's for the few we found of yours today.
My only find in tongala on a quick stop over on my way home after a short stint of relieving work in Kyabram. Will have to return to try and find the other two in this town. TFTC
A nice easy find in a nice little town....it has not changed too much since the 45 years , or so, since I lived near here. TNLN...thank you gregandjudi
This log marks the 1264th smiley to be recorded in the stats of WazzaAndWenches.
A slack Sunday morning with nothing to do except find a couple of caches...
A quick and easy find on a very quiet morning with no muggles anywhere in sight.
Thanks gregandjudi

Our group of four found it in 2 minutes! One stepped over it, another walked around it, another was no where near it, while the clever one saw that something was out of place.
Took: Spider. Left: 3 Bells on a Ribbon.
Great cache!

It is sad to see the demise of any institution we grew up with and as is the case with numerous country schools all that remains of these rail stations are vaguely recognisable mounds on existing lines and in many cases not even that, only memories!
In an area north of Bendigo where we both spent our formative years we are aware of several whistle stops that have faded into history.
The evolving of both public and commercial road transport has played no small part in these happenings together with population movements to larger city centres.
Thank you gregandjudi for adding another one to the geocaching scene, albeit there is much more evidence here of past glory!
Cheers,
from Romax.
