This cache has proved problematic to keep in place. Its been replaced by myself several times and I won't be able to attend to this for the next while, so unfortunately I need to close the cache.

After having a DNF on this cache, I see it is now 2 years since this has been found. I did see that you checked it over a year ago but I think it has gone missing again.

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

This cache lived up to its name, it was actually more than slightly annoying.

Hubby took the kayak off the roof of the car & paddled over to the island & then spent more time than he normally does searching for the cache. I tell you he was really annoyed at thinking that it may have gone missing before anyone had found your replacement cache.

Maybe one day we will return to Rocky & have another chance to look for it. A hint could be good if it is still there.
Thanks Alleycatz for the hunt.

The cache was missing - it might have been a victim of the flood. It has now been replaced and all is good to go.

Thanks for an interesting one! Team effort with zoeandcalin (who was the effort part) and my trusty sidekick geoturtle. Next finder might like to bring a new container.

Been at this cache location and finally braved the swim with geowombats. Cache has been heat affected and warped, lid can't be put back on and logbook wet. Needs some maintenance.
Thanks for the challenge. Water was quite warm but surprisingly deep!

Container needs replacing - looks like it may have been warped with heat when the weeds were burnt off months ago. Impossible to put lid on, logbook too wet to write in as a result.

I was going to attempt this today after researching previous logs. However the terrain has changed significantly in just 12 months the o'shanasey park lagoon is now highly vegetated and I didn't come prepared enough for that! (See photo)

We choose to swim for this one. Interesting, some locals thought that we were nicking eggs. Told them we were just a little crazy and were involved in a hobby that required us to sign a book over there to prove we had been there. They did not look the caching type so did not explain. Besides it was starting to rain we did not want to get any wetter LOL SL TNLN TFTC

This was heaps of fun.. Took my two 17yr olds to play swampies....as I was not going in that..should not take a serious cachy long to find, after we got quite a bit of help it was located.. Thx for help as I was not sending them back in for a 3rd time.

Geo-wife very happy that geo-hubby got the short straw for this one.
With the GPS in a plastic bag, he started to walk out - how deep could this be.
The water was freezing he said, and it was getting deeper.
Returning to shore, he decided to leave the GPS behind - brave man.
A short swim out, a quick look for the cache - thank goodness he found it,
another short swim back. The smell on the drive back to the caravan was not pleasant.
Cache found in good condition and well hidden.
Thanks for the laugh today, Girl4god20.

I had this one on the list as number one for today, being so close to the caravan park we were staying at. On arrival, Kaisho53 and I looked at the location, THEN, read the cache page... Oh, that is "Slightly Annoying"... We had not come prepared so we left it alone... Twisted

Yay....and thanks to Girl4god for the swim.

Found with the help of FunPhillies. After a quick dip in shoulder high water, Garmin held high above my our heads, FunPhillie H found it in about 5 minutes.

Took Koala.
Left Chewbacca

Thanks for a really fun, quite easy cache.

OK, were we going to boat it or take the plunge???
Too much effort so across we walked with Glenn Russell.
Wasn't going back until we found it.
Lucky we did quickly Smile

After looking on google earth ( B4 The talent had logged as swum it ) I packed my gum boots to do this one, well I should not have bothered!!
I got about 2 meters off the bank and water was at the top, so looks like now I have to purchase a canoe - dingy vehicle, Next trip to Rocky we'll try again..

First to find by swimming > And its GROSS!

I highly recommend a dinghy if you are going to do this cache. The water stinks. That said, it was a great thrill and nice hide. Cache is well protected from any floods that may hit, but GPS reception is poor as there is a lot of tree cover. Take a mark in the clearing and mentally project the waypoint because as soon as you head towards GZ its going to be tough to get a good signal.

*FTF* Gotcha !!! Slightly Annoying is right. Coming to Rocky to get some pump parts and I managed to leave the co-ords at home. Quick call to Mrs T and she got them off the website for me. Then as I'd opted for the dry option the cache was in hand quite quickly. Thanks Girl4god20 for another challenge. TNLN TFTC
