Found last week (29/7) forgot to log until today JonoT1 and myself went for a drive to find the gate keepers. Lovely drive good cache. Good bit of history here!
This was a wonderful cache. Talked to a local fellow as well. Thank you for the cache.
Last one along this road. Also a quick find and cache in good condition, though the plastic bag had perished so I replaced it. A lonely little grave. Tftc
Lovely Sunday drive - even tho is is only Saturday morning! Out with muggle sister, showing her the back way into the Granite Belt.
We had already started the Pike series a few weeks ago, so started at #7 then continued...
Knocking on St Peter's Gate, regardless of whether it is Henry or Harry, we found the cache. Can't believe we did not cross the road to check out Harry/Henry's grave.
Thanks Team Robins

It was a good caching day today and we picked up some more smiley faces for our map, along with ilook4geo. We found more caches in a few different series and only had one DNF to spoil the day. Each of the caches had the log signed, usually as GP2 and ilg. Each container was then put back into place as it had been found. Our thanks go to Team Robins for placing this cache and adding to the fun of the game.
Caching along mostly very quiet country roads today with goingplaces2 gave a really good result for the day. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we were soon headed off to the next find. Thanks for this cache.
TFTC! Well that was wonderful to follow the trail of both St Peters Gate and Sunburnt Country to this isolated area where Henry Doro has been laid to rest. It would have been a tough life in those days. So very sad to see he was only 20, but lovely to know he has was buried at home. Harry would have been his nickname, you would think?
It is so lovely to be brought out to these country areas geocaching.

A beautiful find along this remote roadway. It is one of the things that we love about geocaching; the places that we discover which way otherwise wouldn’t.

A surprise finding this out here! Iphone caching often means no reception in these parts so no descriptions available. Thank you for placing the cache respectfully. After we paid our respects we continued on our way. Tnsl tftc xo
I headed down today to find a big bunch of caches and this one was included.
I found the cache and signed the log. TFTC
What an isolated spot for a resting place. It's quite lovely out here, though I imagine this man's short life was not an easy one. After i found the cache i had a look at the gravesite. Thanks for placing this cache here. Bit of respect for those who went before us has gotta be a good thing.

This morning we started caching at the junction of the Newell Highway and Pikedale Road and during the day, we gradually worked our way south into Palgrave Road, Loloma Road and Mount Janet Road. We started at about 8:45am and finished the caches on our list as the sun set. We enjoyed the variety of caches and the scenery along the way.
Before heading to the cache, we looked at this isolated memorial - interesting. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. However getting access to the cache was another matter. We are not sure if the container was intentionally wedged into the hide location or if the object has grown around the container, but we could not remove the container. After some clearing away, however, we were able to unscrew the lid and access the contents. Apart from this, the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Robins for the cache.

Thanks at least his family knows where he was buried so many others would not back in the pioneering days RIP
What an isolated and lonely grave. I wonder if there is anyone who comes out here to honour the man buried there. Or is it only just us cachers. RIP Henry Doro.

A wonderful weekend away in Stanthorpe resulting in 374 finds, including 22 mystery (Stanthorpe Apple) and 1 Earthe cache. I hoped to log each individually as I usually would but the tyranny of time prevents me from continuing to try and achieve this goal. A big thank you to all the Stanthorpe CO's. We said many times we wish we had more consolidated trails in Brisbane. TFTC
Elly was giving us the back story for this cache on the way - just tragic

We wanted to come grab another leg of the run out here. The children were very impressed with Henry/Harry.
For weeks now Geocaching.com has been telling us all to go out and make the most of the extra day this year and for weeks I figured because it was a Monday I'd be at work so I'd make a few finds in the early hours of the morning then try my best to attend two, if not all three of the events being held on the Gold Coast today.
But then I had a thought about heading out here to try my luck at the popular 200 in a day challenge some cachers do. I managed to convince my beautiful wife that it was an excellent idea and before long it was all systems go. Sunday was crazy, I spent the morning organising what I needed to take and piled it into the car that I would call home for roughly 48 hours.
I was wide awake just before 1am. After filling the tank with petty, plus a jerry can just encase and a hot coffee for me I was soon driving down the dirt road dodging rabbit's and wallaby's. I'm still not entirely sure how many I found today. I do know it was well over 200 and possibly over 300 but I'm still logging. I managed to visit every cache on the power trail below the cache called Glowing which took me 12 and a half hours to complete. By which time I was pretty knacked to say the least. I headed back into town then had a very welcoming bush shower and a well deserved coldie and hot chips.
Surprisingly I felt great, refreshed even. I didn't even feel tired, a little sore from climbing in and out of the car all day but otherwise great. I thought bugger it, so I flew up to the top end of the power trails for some more. I didn't fully complete everything up there either but I managed to pick off a few odd ones here and there along the way as well plus the other short trail. By the time I found a rest stop to curl up into the fetal position for the night on the back seat, it was close to 11.
A few hours short of the 24 available but I was done. I had an absolute blast today, sure I probably can't remember every hide off the top of my head now but it was the best fun I've had caching in a long time. I reckon everyone should have a crack at finding as many as they can in a day. I loved the Rabbit Fence Rd, it's so peaceful out there. I think 3 cars past me all day. It's a beautiful part of the world that I'd be happy to come back and visit any time.
I wanted to visit Quart Pot creek before I left so in the morning I headed down for a few more finds and some exploring. I stopped in to have another look at one I couldn't find last night but it is definitely gone. Then hit the highway for the Goldie.
I truly did have a blast today. That's two mad caching visits to Stanthorpe now for me. Hopefully next time I can stay longer and maybe relax a little...na probably not.
My apologies for the cut and paste logs but it by no means reflects the caches or hides, it would just take me forever to do what I normally do. Appreciate the initial planning, buying, deploying and the up keep the CO's do out here. Well done, I thank you all.
Oh and I signed with mm29 on all logs today to save time, seconds count in this type of behaviour after all. Sometimes it was under the last finder and sometimes it was a clear space I saw when I flicked through the log.
Thanx again

We set aside today to challenge ourselves to find at least 150 caches in a day. Before last Mega in Stanthorpe, we had cleared the middle section of the AS Series, so this challenge meant starting at the bottom, then later moving to the top section, then back down the highway towards Stanthorpe until our target was reached. Apologies for this generic log: unless noted below the caches were in good order and available for future hunters - in some cases this meant stopping awhile longer to replace a log, and/or clean out the cache.

I had driven down from Brisbane for a quick day out caching. The idea to grab as many as i can along the power trails here. The day turned into a mission, with my GPS deciding to impersonate a brick, leaving me to use the phone, so lots of missed caches and backtracking. Great day out, lots of caches, sun, Kangaroos, sun, other flora, sun and more caches. Thanks for putting in the trail.
We are back for the 3rd and final day of this trip to find some of the Caches on these power trails. Thanks to all the CO's for the tremendous efforts in creating them. Well done. We apologise again for the generic logs.
Ah a power trail, this is what we are here for , to test a Router out, we ended with 126 caches found, 1 DNF in 6hrs 22minutes we started first cache in hand at 8.40am and the last cache was at 3.02pm
So sorry this log is cut and paste but we remember every cache
Thanx heaps to all cache placers, fine effort by all
we will be back

A target of 200 finds for the day meant an early start so we were up at 3:30am. Crookedpete, Seffnjarah and I got to our first cache by 4:25 on the A.S trail. We finished the day after 11 hours of caching with some interesting Stats:
270 finds including all of the A.S. Trail
3 DNF’s (Due to grading of the roadside that has taken a few trees away)
2 finds with three DNF’s on them before us (they are always nice to get!)
1Challenge puzzle completed.
My 2000th find somewhere along the way (but I don’t actually know which one)
And my favourite stat: 39 finds in 60 minutes – boy did we hoof it! Fun, Fun Fun!
Now for the caveat, as I know my partners in crime will no doubt mention in their logs, I did not manage to get to look for every cache! Well actually very few……ok….I only actually found 2 myself. You see I was the designated driver for the day. After some knee surgery 4 weeks ago, and only starting weight bearing again 2 days prior, the plan was hatched that I would happily drive for the day if my friends would add my name to the caches as we found them. They tell me that they did actually put my name in the log, but I am dubious.
I swear I will never attempt another power trail, as they are simply not my thing….but I am glad I have done it once so my thanks to the CO’s for their efforts. That must be a lot of work to maintain!
Thanks also to my partners in crime – sterling effort!

I have wanted to take a crack at a power trail for a while. My crazy companions today, SwellerFungus and SeffnJarah were really only lukewarm on the idea. But then a knee operation sidelined Fungus and he hit upon the idea of a power trail road trip, where he did the driving and Seff and I did all the hard work finding the caches .....as always.
An early start on a brisk Stanthorpe morning had the first cache in hand in the dark at 04:23. With a couple of hours break for lunch and 11 hours on the trail, I finished up before dark with 277 finds and 3 DNF's. A good dozen or so caches along the way really tested our finding abilities (ie Fungus actually stopped the car engine and joined the search) - mostly where overzealous road works had changed the landscape.
Highlights of the day included seeing the sun rise (and later set) over a foggy valley, finishing the entire A.S. Series in a day, signing a cache every 1 min 33 seconds to grab a huge 39 in an hour and mostly the endless banter and leg pulling with my companions (power trails would be dull without it!).
Many thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining this huge trail of caches, and particularly thanks to Team Robins for placing and maintaining this cache.

Thank you to the masters of these series of caches for their diligence and thoughtfulness in giving visitors to this region a vast number of little (and not so little) gems to discover and the opportunity to see so much countryside which quite possibly could never have been seen except to a very select number of passers-by.
Shockers were very aware of the beautiful sunburnt countryside as they travelled along the forest tracks.
Thanks to all involved in being Cos for these caches. Please excuse the generic comments as so many of these caches were discovered that it would take a month of Sundays to record separate notes on each one. Suffice to say they all had aspects of real inventiveness.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day twelve is the last day we spent in the Stanthorpe region. First was the fruit run then finishing off the A.S. series. The rest of the day was spent collecting the left over caches that in fact took us to some of the more amazing places on this trip. Thanks.

Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Enjoying a beaut day in Stanthorpe & surrounds with our good mates DazRascal & Mvyrmnd.
Our goal today was to find as many types as we could & help us reach 4000 finds.
We enjoyed our drive along the back roads to find these caches, seeing some great countryside, beaut hides, lots of laughs and no DNFs.
What an interesting spot! Very worthy of highlighting it with a cache! [^]

MEGA was on so decided it might be a good idea to find some caches. "Some" ended up turning into a few hundred... the most exhausting experience.
Started in the city and pooh corner, ended up leaving a little late for Stanthorpe. Fun weekend, managed to get pushed into swimming across water a few times and finishing off some rum.

Out and about with iluvtrekking and a 'delightful?' whirling dervish otherwise known as KB. Boy did she keep us on our toes at an unrelenting pace - her narratives were just as expansive! Although a very wet day we managed to get through a good chunk of the power trail and in the process saw some beautiful countryside. Thanks Team Robins.
Our first mega event very exciting. Came all the way from townsville. Loved the caches and puzzles and the effort that went in them. Tftc sl tnln

We found this cache while over in Stanthorpe for the Aussie mega. A super wonderful time, and super wonderful caches!! Thanks to all the COs, and event organisers! We had a blast!!
Second day, and we decided to see how many we could do. Ended up with about 202 I think it was - yay! Best day ever! And that wasn't even a full day, as we needed to be back in time for the markets at 2pm, to advertise the NZ mega - so a half day only really.
Left at 6am, together with Karma Reprint.
We signed almost every log as 'Team Polak' over this trip which consists of hinemoana, sonia26642, /dev/gc0c, and tunfisk - to save time, our hands from overuse, and the logsheets
But on this trail, we signed as TP + KR. Even shorter!
Consec caching day # 891

Having a great time at mega, camped onsite...caching with robbieracer66 and Grub Fred....tftc Aussie Liahona
On our first whole day at the Mega me and Jackylegs44 set out to do a bit of the powertrails around here. Signing the logs as JK44. Good quality to be a powertrail, well maintained caches and perfect roads for it.
Liked the loneliness of this place, a good end to our travels on the dirt roads along the PT
Thanks for this hide

What a wonderful yet sad story this cache told us about. There must be many lonely graves across the country side. A testament to the hardy folk that settled the area.
Thanks for the cache TR.
Thanks for the cache TR.
I love these isolated graves. Someone went to the trouble to bury them in what is now the middle of nowhere. Complete with gravestone and fencing. I often wonder about the details of their story. The third in a drizzly but productive day caching. TFTC
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Found during my MEGA experience. Thanks for the effort you have put into contributing to this huge drawcard to Stanthorpe.
Big day caching today with Team Polak. Logs signed TP+KR. Please excuse the copy and pastelogs.
Found on a trip to OZ at the Stanthorpe MEGA. It is all about the numbers this trip.
Thanks for the hide.

A fun day out finding caches with kiwi-nomad and bullertrout while attending the MEGA.
Many thanks for all the placements [^]

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Cats&Dragons, Alpenmilch80, Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "CAVVY" to save time and log space.) Our main focus of the day was the power trails between Stanthorpe and Warwick. We left Stanthorpe at dawn and drove straight to Warwick, then slowly made our way south again through the power trails. It was a long day out caching, where we found over 300 caches! Apologies for the copy and paste logs, but its hard to remember them all! TFTC!

team T.I.N.S out for a long days caching, and hopefully to break some personal records. tftc
Out and about with Bullertrout and ADV exploring some of the tracks and trails around the Mega
Cats and Dragons, Alpenmilch80, Vamber, Vistra and I (we signed as CAVVY) decided to tackle the powertrails north of the mega today, sorry these logs will be very generic for the trails as we found over 300 today. Nice easy find, TFTC

On route to find 60 today to achieve 5000 finds for La Kedi. It's always interesting to find sites like this. Without geocaching this memorial would never have been brought to my attention and given me a moment to reflect on life. Thanks Team Robins.
Together with the New Zealand crew which included Cats&Dragons, vamber, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 (signed logs as CAVVY) we headed out early in the morning to get those power trails plastered with a lot of smiley’s. It took us around 9h working well together to get those awesome trails done. TFTC
Found as part of a very big caching day in conjunction with YorkshireKiwi83, VISTRA, Vamber, Alpenmilch80 signing the logs as CAVVY (to save space).
Shame about the weather but the caching was a whole lot of fun with adventures and trash talk along the way.
Thank you to all the cache owners that put these together for us to enjoy while at the OZ MEGA 2015, as NZer's we certainly did appreciate them.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

What a sad tale. We found the cache first and then spent a moment reflecting over young Henry/Harry's grave. Life was so much harder back then; makes me glad to live in this day and age. TFTC, Team Robins. =^.^=
Found during Oz Mega Stanthorpe.
These are one of our favourite types, and this one was a good one. We would never have visited this spot without Geocaching and Team Robins. TFTC. Fav from us.

Out caching with Kiwi Nomad and ADV. Enjoyed doing all the caches that we found.
