Logs
Checked on the cache & as previously reported it has been smashed. The location is nice but I'd like to focus my cache placing energy elsewhere at the moment. If the area opens up again when the new development is finished then I'll consider placing a new cache here. Until then the location is now open to anyone else that wants to give it a go. Farewell "Riverside", it was fun while it lasted.

This cache was damage and it was all over the place...The area has been fenced off and there is a development next door to the location. this will need to be achieved. I have picked up one page and the log book
This cache was spread all over the ground and it has been fenced off by a new development.
Searching out some caches around Clontarf. Parked in the new subdivision and walk across. The GPSr was not help under the trees so it took some searching. Took Pikachu TB.
Thanks BlaKids.
Thanks BlaKids.
I finally have conquered this cache after my tenth try and have got my smiley. Fantastic scenery to place a cache. A well deserved favourite point Blakids.
Replaced the now not so soggy log. Cache is good to go. Currently the easiest way to get to the cache is to jump over the railing of the bridge & walk alongside the creek / lagoon.
'Found' a little trackable platypus by the cache (Percy TB54Y3W). Will take him on our upcoming travels. I guess this will be his home cache.
Enjoy the hunt.

Yes, cache is still there, but filled to the brim with water. Log was fairly soggy but not completely drenched despite the plastic bag being left open.
Have taken the soggy log book home to dry out. Have left a single sheet of paper in there until I get back. I noticed that my own GPS was reading about 6 metres out when at GZ. The trees really knock the signal about. I've taken an averaged set of coords today. I'll another averaged set when I return the log book (almost dry now) & will update the website after that. With development about to happen close to the cache even more fencing has gone up. Now the easiest ways to get to the cache are either jumping over the railing at the foot bridge or approach in water craft of some kind from the river. It's still possible to get to the cache so I'll not archive it (yet).
Couldn't find this cache even with loubla a previous finder of the cache who came to help me.
Found it while walking with friends around the river...had to jump few fences to get there:):)
Yay - it's the weekend, so out caching again, this time teaming up with OOH YEH. to tackle the South Perth/Manning areas. Surprised myself by how nonchalantly I can jump fences. Quick find one I was at gz though. Thanks BlaKids
Out on a day of caching with mistraluna and what a great day we had, 38 finds and no DNFS you cant get much better then that. This cache was a bit of a mission to get too. We climbed through the first fence then walked along the wall to the next fence which mistraluna kindly jumped and found the cache. I took the jeep TB as it was the only TB in there . TFTH BlaKids
Couldn't find the cache got past the security but no sign of a cache anywhere.

700 Caches.... Wooo Hooo. Dropped the two TB's I had, Watch the Paper Wasps nearby. They buzzed me but didn't seem to bothered.... TFTH
Was passing by so dropped in to see how the old cache was going. All good, contents dry & in good condition. Cache was a little exposed so I put some sticks over it. To any experienced cacher it's a familiar sign. Happy hunting - if you can get over all the fences or over the water.
Out and about with Amstradkid and Jazl on a caching run to do a few in the Clontarf and South Perth area. A find to AK here, but it took a little finding, we also jumped the fence by the bridge to access it. Jazl was lifted over then decided the creek was really inviting and went for a quick swim. The smell of swamp was with us all morning...lol Sl TFTC BlaKids
Wow my gps was way out on this one also geocaching map shows this one somewhere else but it did not matter cache was in full view I normaly hide my caches so have given a little more cover.
Was with Keego for a morning caching run hoisted dog over fence and Jazl made a bee line for the creek.
One black and smelly dog for the rest of the morning.
Thanks for the interesting placement.

Cache is still there in good shape. I approached from the new development, so had to jump off the bridge and skirt around a fence but no problems getting there really. TFTC
After completing the Clontarf series we went on the find this one. Container was in good order and it was a quick find.

With Breakers Bunch, He find the container and we signed the log. Thanks Blakids.
Found today while driving around Perth with Everlasting. Great cache... loved the location.
It really is easily reachable... the 'security' is really not an issue.

Cache contents have now been dried out. This cache is good to go again, however the previously unlocked gate that gave easy access has now been locked - see update in the main notes.

Hard to get a good reading with all the tree cover. Will perform a 'Waypoint Average' each time I visit and hopefully refine the location.

After looking for Clontarf Series - Simon, I checked on Down By The Riverside. What a sad & sorry state it was in. Open to the elements & full of water. I've taken it away to dry the poor thing out & will replace it in 'a couple of days'. Fortunately the log book was protected in it's plastic bag.
After much convincing of my fellow cacher 'arnoldt2' we decided to climb the fence and venture off closer to the cache. Successfully found the silver fence with no padlock but couldn't find the actual cache Did find a dead magpie though.
looking for a place to drop of "corky" but sadly this was all fenced off. chose not to climb over fencing with 78 yr old mom.
went for a bike ride with our dog. Dodged the showers by going under the small sale hut. TFTC. TTBALN.
Found by Geograndsons Adam & Marcus. Coordinates within 2m for us. Meet Team Cunnos who are up from Denmark while at GZ. TFTC
After recent logs we thought it best to check things out. Sure enough the cache had suffered from the dreaded creep. Hard to work out how it could happen if the same person who picks it puts it back (in the same position)... Was going to do another averaging for position but a geo-muggle-biologist was wandering about very close by. He was checking out the area for mosquito larvae. It will have to wait for another time...
Looked for a while around the tree and while I was walking to another tree I heard a hollow sound and discovered that I had walked right over it. Signed Log and moved to the base of the nearest tree and covered well. TFTC
Mrs Felix still working all of Easter, so Mr Felix teamed up with Tanzanite! for an adventurous days caching South of the River!
Took us a while but eventually the sure footed Tanzanite located the cache!
We grabbed the GC to move on.

Out for a day of caching with Mr Felix II and what a dirty and periodically frustrating day it was - luckily for me I had paired up with a buddy who saved my sanity on this most trying of caching days!
Cache of frustration number four for the day. This one had Mr Felix II and I scratching our head for a while. Eventually after removing two large, felled tree branches, complete with leaves, my foot finally found the cache. So much for being at the base of a tree. Oh well, cache located all the same. Could not find this one anywhere! GPS was jumping around so had problems pin pointing the location. Lots of leaf litter everywhere so was difficult to locate. Will have to try again next time!
Easy find. Lets hope the cache says safe. The hide seems a bit "exposed". We live nearby but hadn't investigated this building site on foot yet. Very interesting. TFTC. Dropped GC.
So today I headed north for a caching run with rudi63 in search of my 1000th find. We had a plan in place, go find caches. Seems like such a simple plan and it worked for us for the most part!!
We spent about 15 minutes here without joy. The GPSr seemed to bounce everywhere but probably concenctrated on two objects more than anywhere else. We feel we searched those areas rather thoroughly, but clearly not well enough!!
Cheers

We looked in all of the likely, and some of the unlikely, but could not find the cache today
[:(!] Went for a late afternoon of caching, parked the geocar and walked to GX, had the cache in hand after several minutes. TNLNSL TFTC/TFTH
Great little walk for a Saturday morning with a fantastic GZ and cache filled with goodies.TFTC BlaKids!
Heaps of debri around the trees so it took a mintue or two before I finally poked the plastic and made the find. Thanks for the cache BlaKids.
A quick find to fill in a hole in my days of the year. Picked up a few geocoins.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Popped down during my lunch time walk but were spraying was occurring almost on top of the cache so didn't go through the gate. Will come back another day.
Bugger that first log was actually me but I was logged in as theperthvan. I'll try and get it deleted. Here's the text again so it doesn't get deleted too.
Great first hide BlaKids. Thought I was in for a race but it was just a muggle wandering around the area. Quite easy to get to but I'm not sure what fencing will be done when development is finished. It was good to see inside the development area after driving past for months now. Took only the FTF treasure.
