OCW PelDroedGwin We visited all the WPs yesterday which helped up get to know the town area. We did struggle with a couple of numbers when we couldnt find the answers but Google soon gave us what we needed. Today as we were passing we stopped in to a historic location that we would have missed it if wasnt for the cache. Tftc
A great morning spent looking at local sites of interest, before an afternoon/evening of fishing (caught a sinker + 2 hooks). Done with JustR (the husband) on the phone, from the other side of the country, which was fun.Needed help from the CO (thanks!) An easy find, once the final co-ords were in hand.Log is a little damp.Mechanic_Chick (fmrly Rat&Brats)
This was the first one we did when we arrived in Kalbarri. It gave us an overview of the layout of the town. We were able to get most of the coord.s from the waypoints and easily worked out the others. We waited till dusk to grab the final. We were greeted by the usual WA sunset! Thanks for the cache.
We decided to do the multi by bike yesterday. We struck a few problems.. we couldn't find C and E but the internet helped with both. D appears to have changed as the maths doesn't work with the current price so we tried a logical guess. Thanks heaps for the checker.. when you have a few issues like we did it's a godsend. The multi is right, it's a great way to check out Kalbarri. We went to find the cache this morning. The log's damp but after rain all night it's not too bad and should dry out. TFTC fairwaydrivers.
We had lots of fun answering the questions and finding the cache.TFTC Thank you also for helping with the coordinates when we got stuck
We had a venture around town to look for the information at a couple of spots I had to resort to another method to get some information. A great variety of places. Was interesting reading at some of the sights.Cache was a nice quick findThanks for the multi.
We have spent a few days in Kalbarri and enjoyed our stay here.
We found GZ on our way out today.
This is a great little holiday town and Im sure we will back.

Found in the afternoon after doing a six point tour of Kalbarri. Note, the display sign for clue “A” is not there; was damaged by cyclone and removed. You’ll need to speak to information person inside. Found cache and signed. Thanks.
Wasn't sure we had the right coordinates, but after confirming with the cache owners, and then checking with a friendly local from Kalbarri Boat Hire, we found it! Whilst we don't think the end coords are right, the cache is a great little tour around town and is informative along the way. Thank you to the cache owners for keeping this one live! Oh, and even if the Kalbarri Visitors Centre isn't open, they do leave info booklets out and if you're up for a quick read, you can still find the answer! (we did this on a Sunday) We added a new log to the cache and re-hid as best we could. TFTC!
The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history - Noticeably there’s no mention of the Captain Cook !!! In Kalbarrie for a few days with plenty of time to explore on trusty treadles - amazing kms of bike paths. Have travelled WEST from home base 3500 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. After computing the numbers required I headed to a perfectly fitting GZ to find cache/rock obviously gone as did previous cacher so I have replaced it with a new tin and sheet and found some rocks to place as needed. TFTC info and a fave for the lure to visit.
Could collect some interesting information about Kalbarri and got the right final coordinates. Unfortunately we only could find the big rock there, the rock under which the cache is supposed to be, has vanished.
Did this multi over a few days while seeing the sites. Nice easy find once we figured out the coordinates. An interesting tour thanks. TFTC
That was a fun tour around Kalbarri. Going to see the pelican feeding in the morning thanks to this. TFTC
Started at lunchtime then finished after our visits to more local sights. I think the golf waypoint is not correct - it leads you to the back entrance. Plus wp 3 gave no info - again looked up online. Anyway saw a bit of Kalbarri, tftc.
Great tour of Kalbarri !!!Always like town multis to see and learn about the places of interest, TFTC fairwaydrivers (a late log)
A quick little multi on a sweltering afternoon in Kalbarri. Some interesting history indeed. TFTC
Spent the morning chilling at the beaches and then a quick tour of the town for this cache.

We're on a road trip across Western Australia, and are currently camping in Kalbarri.
This morning we visited Kalbarri National Park, in the afternoon I decided to go geocaching and explore the town. Although the information has gone missing at a few waypoints, I was able to find the necessary data online, so after a lovely walk I was able to sign the logbook. I especially loved the views at Zuytdorp Memorial. TFTC!

This is day 2 of my Exmouth trip and today I'm heading from Geraldton to Kalbarri ! On a windy, but beautiful day I'm collecting many caches on my way north - such as several Traditionals and Earthcaches - some other cache types were also part of the list . Thanks for giving me so many opportunities to pause my journey.....
After checking in at the Kalbarri Edge Resort there was some time left before dinner - time for some more caches in this nice, little town [:o)]. This was the last one for today..... As there were no maps at the Visitor Center I had to google this one and I wasn't quite sure about the calculation at the pelican station. But the checker was much use to me and so it all ended up in an easy find .

Great wander around kalbarri on a windy afternoon..some great views some local history and the golf course and a lizard guarding the cache..cache and log in excellent condition tftc
While camping at Murchison Station we came into Kalbarri for supplies. Took the opportunity to search for this cache after collecting the numbers. Normally get one number wrong on these but got the tick on the checker first try. Quick find at GZ.
I put the coordinates in to checker and didn't get it right. Then i went to the location and there it was luckily. Maybe I had a typing error, tftc!
We decided to do this one by foot and should now be rewarded with a beverage. Thanks for the stroll fairwaydtivers and those who helped with maintenance.
Found it and left a note! Worked out the clues online yesterday while it was raining. Could've find any apps to pinpoint the location guy it's pretty obvious if you know your general location! Thanks for the adventure!
We were on a driving/camping holiday up to Exmouth with a few stops on the way and than camping our way back to Perth. Stopping for some caches along the way.
Found some lovely and learned some interesting things that we wouldn't have stopped to look at if it wasn't for caching.
A great time was had, even though one day our campsite was flooded and we had to move to a new site, many animals crossed our paths including a snake in Exmouth, overall it was a great adventure.

I solved the coordinates a couple of days ago, and today was the day to pick up the cache. It was a very easy cache to find, which was lovely.
Decided to give my early morning walk around Kalbarri some extra purpose by finding the coords for this multi. Started by climbing up the hill, got the info quick but it was all downhill from there. Couldn’t find the maps at the visitor place, went in the wrong way to the golf club and found no relevant sign at the marina. Thankfully, Dr google came to the rescue. Back to the Edge to work out final coords which we got on the second try after misinterpreting the pelicans. On our way home, able to call in for a quick find ( though temperamental pen had difficulty leaving our mark. At least we didn’t have to reclimb up there. Thanks Fd’s for arranging this not so easy multi for me but still lots of fun.
Hooray, very stoked that I didn't put any coordinates in wrong! View would have been very distracting for those using the location for its original purpose!
No log in the cache - lid was half off. Left a dinosaur swappable.

I like multi's. Did part virtual tour, part drive around, part walk to gather the numbers. after a few stumbles I got a set of numbers the checker liked. Short walk to GZ. TFTC
2 x family group stayed at Kalbarri for 10 days. We enjoyed wandering this area.. one of them spotted the cache and signed the log. Thank you fairwaydrivers.

A fun journey through Kalbarri and to discover an interesting fact about the final destination was cool! They sure were lucky kids back then! TFTC
Thanks for this multi. Did it over a couple of days whilst staying in the area. It was good fun.
First to find new cache, great fun answering all the questions to get to end target. TFTC
We are here in Kalbarri. Checked on the cache and couldn't find anything. Placed a six inch tube under a UPOS
Third time lucky....On first occasion i didn't have a pen. On second occasion I lost my pen Finally on third occasion, equipped with 2 pens in 2 pockets, I managed to log.
Thank you
Thank you
A great way to do a tour of this lovely town.

Washed away by the cyclone in April?

Sooo sad to find no cache. I had checked my way points & final coords were correct. After 6 kms walk, we arrived at the spot only to find the whole area badly damaged in the cyclone. Searched but it must have been washed away.
Day three of our week long stay in Kalbarri and up early again chasing down some smilies while it's a bit cooler. To be honest though the weather has been quite pleasant so far, maybe a tad windy.
I have to admit that I figured this one out at home a while ago so it was just a matter of tracking down the final for me today. A quick find of a pretty brazen hide once at GZ, the container and log are performing admirably in my opinion.
fairwaydrivers I found your cache at 7:46am, this was the 2nd of 6 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6499. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Found it! Final GZ was a nice spot for a bit of a look out. The container is probably on its last legs though. I had to use a screwdriver to pop the lid open! Thanks for the tour.
Quick find after working it out before arrival. Lovely place to stop for a breathe of fresh air.
Out for a morning run after spending a wet night in Kalbarri. Luckily I stayed dry inside the camper.
I had trouble with a couple of waypoints on this one but google was able to come to the rescue.
First up was WP D, my first one for the morning, the road I was going to take into the Golf club had a sign up saying authorised persons only and there were some workman towards then end so I decided to give that one a miss.
WP C was next on my list and I couldn't find the sign it referred to. There is some work going on here so I don't know if it has been removed.
The rest of the WPs were good and I was soon sitting next to WP F doing the calculations to get the final coords.
Yeah, a green tick and it was on the way back to where we were staying. A quick find was made once there. The log was looking a little damp so I added another waterproof one
This was find number 2 for the day.

Greetings from Scotland. We started this multi last night but abandoned it at the golf course. We had thought the rain would keep the flies away but, no such luck. We were being bombarded by them. We hoped we would finish it off today. We headed for stage 6 first but couldn't find the information we needed. We found the plaques and information boards but couldn't see the information we needed. Suddenly the penny dropped and we had our answer. We picked up stage 5 and punched the numbers in and received a green light. It wasn't too far so we took a walk to GZ. The cache was an easy find as it was lying out in the open. We signed the log and replaced it as per the hint.

Thanks for the walk around. Found early morning. Took the TB and will move it on. Tftc
It was a great trip along the west coast of Australia. There was a lot to discover and of course we also looked for caches. Some caches lured us to places that we would not have visited otherwise. Sometimes we were rewarded with a great view or a wonderful location. Some caches we discovered very quickly, others we searched longer and some we searched in vain. Now we are back home and think back to a wonderful time in West Australia with great experiences and a lot of caches we have logged. This multi is one of them.
Thanks to all owners for hiding their caches. They made our time in Australia even more exciting. PePPer812

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply visiting the NP of Kalbarri.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Multi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'fairwaydrivers' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Checking Out Kalbarri' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately. A lot of interesting stations to build the final coords. For that we give a FP.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest.

Well after doing this cache I think we’ve seen all of Kalbarri it did allows us to drive around the streets checking out what’s for sale.
Even found a street that I’m sure is named after my relatives, the things you discover while caching
Enjoyed this one and even managed the find before adjusting coordinates to the solved ones, Mr dimor parked right near GZ and I said ‘oh look there’s a rock, I wonder,’ it seems I wondered right
TFTC guys.
Worthy of a fav point for the scenic drive and fun we had getting the info, loved it ️

On a 6 day trip up north to visit family in Carnarvon, and maybe exmouth, with my lovely girlfriend HR1990, picking up as many caches as possible, Thanks to everyone for hiding these caches for us to find.
After all that work, enjoyable though it was. We could not find it despite previous logs. We PAFd & discovers that we were indeed looking in the right place but we still could not find it & it sounds quite simple. So we have put a replacement where we were told it should be. If we are mistaken please feel free to delete our log. It will not be a hardship to come back to this beautiful town.
Thank you! In Kalbarri for a mini holiday. I enjoyed visiting the waypoints and collecting the numbers. I didn't get to the golf course though as the road I tried said no admittance. This was to be my downfall as I didn't read the question properly when googling the answer. But it was quite obvious that my calculated final was not right, seeing as it was in the ocean. A bit more googling and a few goes of the checker and I eventually figured out where I was supposed to go. And I quite enjoyed the view at the lookout while trying to figure it all out. Once at the final GZ I found the cache in good condition. Took the TBs to move on.
Wasn’t quite sure abkut this one but gathered all the information and made the find
We are visiting WA from Canada. Enjoyed exploring your town and the surrounding area. TFTC
Found it stop looking! It was alot of fun figuring out the co ords, lived here for two years and didn't know this was a historic site! CFTC found with Leeiscool58!
A very interresting multi cache, I took 2 days to completed it and I like the final, weel Done...TFC
Enjoyed finding the clues. As already mentioned signage about the pelicans no longer exists but the answer can be found on the web. After the hard work it was a relief to find the cache easily. TFTC.
Catching up with some very late logs
Mrs Crackers was having a couple of days holiday in Kalbarri with a muggle friend and the wpts for this multi were collected as we explored the area. Our accommodation was a stone throw away from wpt 3 so that was the quickest for us to find.
What beautiful scenery we enjoyed as we visited all the locations and also at gz.
This morning there were no muggles around as we arrived at gz and the cache was located quickly and our name was added tot he log.
Thanks faiywaydrivers for setting up this multi for us and other caches to enjoy, we are leaving behind a favourite point.

After collecting the information for this multi over the last couple of days, I made it to the final location today and it was a quick find. Thank you for this fun multi fairwaydrivers, a favourite.
Had a good cycle around whilst on hold. Note - the pelican info board could not be found so had to make an educated guess.

An awesome multi which we completed most of the previous evening but finished off this morning and a very well placed final.
Thanks for a nice meander around town.
Day 2 of our trip North, leaving Kalbarri and heading to Denham.
We started off early grabbing a couple of caches around town before heading out to the National Park to find some earth caches and traditionals whilst visiting nature’s window and some of the great sights we didn’t have time for on our last visit.
The highlight of the day was a cache called Kal Mk II which took us on a huge walk down to the bottom of the z bend and crossing the river and climbing up a significant rock face. An absolute ripper cache.
We continued along visiting another of team pathfinders Midwest history caches before heading up NWCH to the Shark Bay World heritage area, stopping in at a number of earth caches and popular beach spots before making our way into the town of Denham where we are staying for the night.
We had to skip town straight away to get to monkey Mia to grab the virtual cache there before returning to Denham via Francois perin homestead and the hot spring there, which was a an interning location.
After getting back into Denham we made plans to catch up with local geocachers Jowiba at the local shark bay pub for a beer and a chat, after a great chat we bid farewell and picked up the three remaining caches we had to find in town before heading to the foreshore to cook a bbq dinner.
A huge day out and special thanks to the local COs for their caches and hospitality. Thanks
