In Timaru for an overnights family adventure. Stayed the night in the Top10 ...up and atoms and packed up & time to head out to Saltwater creek for another family bike ride before heading back home. Boys loving the adventure. Quick find and sign here by MrsTG. Nice one. Cheers!
We had a bit of time for a short walk before booking into our accommodation. The smell at ground zero wasn't that pleasant at the time of our visit but I managed to quickly work out what was going on so we didn't need to linger.
Hello from the UK. Travelling around NZ for 5 weeks grabbing caches where I can. Great cache. Have a fave point.
In Timaru for work. Just over two years ago I was here doing the same thing, and walked these tracks. A few days later, my friend introduced me to Geocaching and now I can walk the track again with a new purpose! That was tricky, a wee tool would have helped. Gets a favourite point from me. Beautiful sunset tonight tooTftc
Found with StreetWalker on our Queens birthday weekend trip down south.
A quick find but a longer retrieve as the cache is snug in its hiding place. Phew, the dump is pongy at the moment.
Nice hide and a fav on behalf of this series of caches. TFTC.

#15650. I was lagging a bit behind at this point, and arrived at GZ to find that Troodles had already scampered up the bank and located the cache. TFTC.
I’m here for a week from Australia doing the great Southern scenic Trail. So far I have spent time in Queenstown, Te Anau, Bluff, Stuart Island and Invercargill. Met the lovely locals in Airbnb’s. Today I’m heading to Dunedin via the Catlins. Gorgeous scenery thanks for this cache.

The path is nicer this side of the creek. I spotted the hide on approach, but found it tricky to get the cache out. TFTC drawp.
In Timaru for the weekend and after lunch we ventured here for a walk before heading home. Nice quick find after an "aaah" moment TFTC
I DNF this cache last Jan 1st and the omens were not good on that day... only 15 months later I got round to writing in the log... but I have at last Cheers
Nice hide although the smell emanating from the tip was a bit overpowering liked the camouflage very much tftc
Last one on this side for today will be back to do the others tftc found with Rayzr2 and chiko1
Spotted it straight away,as we have something similar back home in Woodend ChCh..TFTH

Found this cache in good order. Now I'm back home I see the owner did maintenance just the day before I was there. Otherwise I would not known cause the logs in my gps where more than a month old. Tftc! Cool hide!
Landscaped had changed since cache placement and original cache gone. Now replaced and all good again.
First cache of the year and a dnf to boot. Three of us spent well over 15 mins looking for it to no avail
Great cache! Lucky I took a second look otherwise would have been empty handed.
No pen so photo taken instead.

Enjoying my wander along the creek this afternoon. Nice hide - the resident earwig didn't even scamper off so must be used to being disturbed. TFTC #7142
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Mallorcatommy and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
Finished work earlier enough to come down and complete the walk down here - a few more caches around the wetlands to grab to complete them all. Thanks to great GPS coordinates, and my cachers brain being well attuned this was a quick find...very clever, TFTC
An hour or two free between lunch and "Heavy Metal" time. Enough to complete the loop and a beautiful afternoon - no real problems finding any of them. Thanks.
Have always wanted to stop for a wander around this wetland so stayed last night in Timaru so we could do this in the morning before heading to Dunedin. What a treasure so close to town - with lots of other treasures to look for on the way! Nice hide - very clever - took a wee while standing there just thinking about it! TFTC.
Kids had fun playing with the ice in the creek in the afternoon! TFTC. Found with Lollipopcat and Spydude13
the rain chased me and the kids away the other week while looking for this, came back today on my way home well worth the second attempt cheers

Found on a very wet day and greeted the find with some relief perched on that slippery bank. Plenty of bulldozer action here. A new rubbish dump?? Thanks.
Might be a nice walkway in a good Southerly, but today it was a bit smelly. But found the cache in good shape. TFTC
5922. Had to walk in for this one from our camping ground as soon as we arrived. For some reason this one didn't make it to the gps when we were here a week or so ago so we had walked right past it then. It was a quick and easy find in spite of the GPS freezing at 35 metres this time! Nice hide. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
After walking all around the wetland walkways this one was bypassed as it didn't show up on the GPS for some strange reason! Never mind, we are passing by in a week or so and will pop in then. Thanks. Iris and Rodney.

I think I was lucky I have seen this type before, GPS was a few meters off but after a few minutes I spotted a possible culprit that turned up the goods. Good name. Great cache! Love the ones with extra effort! With Slydog.007, Jackie987 and Moustachecashstash.
We enjoyed the day caching in this area
Tftfun
So many caches done to remember all, but got a kick out of all that we found (0ver 600 in 8 days)

I would have never got this one, but PC Sniff has a suspicious mind, and he is worse than my dog with a bone (or a dead seal) when it comes to not wanting to give up. Actually it didn't take him long to spot what he thought was a possible hiding place. A favourite from me ... being close to the dump didn't worry me an iota. Our dog smelt much worse!
A tricky wee hide but had caching eyes today and was quickly spotted Found with jrb5050 TFTC
Great hide, well done to “drawp”. Boy those earth walls around the rubbish dump have surely got bigger compared to 10 years (+) ago when I was last here.
This was the nineth stop as Mrs BaldEd enjoyed the walk around the Saltwater track loop. I was a little perplexed for a short while and then I noticed something. Niced one. T4TC
I had enjoyed the walk to the previous find and felt this was a must do given some of the previous logs, well deserved a good hide.
Thanks

This was a sneaky little cache but easily retrieved. It was surrounded by lots of plastic waste that had blown over from the local dump. What a shame.

A beautiful day for some caching in South Canterbury. A bit of a tricky hide, but cache looked out of place. Thanks for the hide.
Willed the legs up, and lo and behold...another crafty Drawp hide! Thanks heaps!
What a very clever cache container.
But, I realised what it was as soon as I saw it.
Nice finally good weather to go caching on MTB Saturday arvo.
first of 6 finds. after deciding to get back into caching.
Thanx drawp

Second chance for a walk around this area only this time on the other side of the river. A clever hide-TFTC
Did the walk around here and bumped into red iguana and moneydork and completed the loop with them. Good chatting, lovely weather, and thanks for the ride back to our van and the loan of the batteries Did with Mycro Man on our NZ MEGA 2012 South Island Trip
Was on my way South to the first Mega in New Zealand which was being held in Dunedin. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with fozzmiester and agcnz.
After finding GCG1TT - Saltwater Creek Walkway (Timaru), this was the next cache that I had on my list that I was going to pick up today.
As I was making my way towards GZ I decided to read the cache description and the previous logs and soon realised that this cache was going to be one of those caches that you either are going to find very quickly or it is going to take a while.
I decided that I would trust the GPS as it was quite accurate today and as I neared GZ I started looking for something that was not quite what it should be, I soon spotted something that seemed to be a little out of the spot and decided to check it out and was surprise that I had the cache in my hand, well that was clever indeed, nice camo.
Thanks for placing this cache here and for bring us to this lovely walkway, TFTC TNLNSL (4919).
