Had a good look, but just couldn't find it today. Found a place that looked like an obvious spot for it, but nothing there, not even on the ground around, as I thought it might have fallen down.
Well - I'm definitely not tall enough for anything in an upwards direction at this GZ !
Had a good search but came up empty handed. Might be worth an owner check (the most recent find was logged by someone who found all 8 of their caches on the same day, so might have been logged in error).
quick find then headed to town center for delicious ice cream and a bit of historical info ... fairly certain this is the southernmost cache found by the mice
We went for a walk on the way to a cafe and we had to make a small detour. JDScout and I are on a pre Xmas campervan holiday. Geocaching is on my agenda. We both like biking and walking too. Thanks Bitsprayer for placing this geocache it is find 8067 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

A quick find while exploring Palmerston. Cheers
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today with a walk up Puketau in the mix.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Nice find while exploring Palmerston.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

TFTC.......visiting from Sask. Canada and loving caching in New Zealand with its friendly people and great scenery. Today travelling from Dunedin to Christchurch.
Not too many people around today so we had no problem finding, signing & replacing. Cache all good. Loved little Palmerston. TFTC
Spending the day cleaning up a few caches around Palmerston and to the east of the main road to the south. quick find.
Camping at Hampden for a week and have been exploring various tracks and small towns grabbing a few caches here and there. Today is my “special day” and I chose to head to Dunedin for a bit of shopping and a nice lunch somewhere on the way back via a scenic route.
Just had lunch at a nearby cafe - very nice it was too.... and while hubby was finishing his off I shot out along the street to find just the 1 cache in this town.
Very familiar with this type of cache - plenty of them back in blenheim

A quick park and grab while out about heading to Cromwell for new years eve. Grabbing a few caches to get my numbers up so I can crack 2000 before the end of the year. TFTC
I’m here for a week from Australia doing the great Southern scenic Trail. So far I have spent time in Queenstown, Te Anau, Bluff, Stuart Island Invercargill and Dunedin. Met the lovely locals in Airbnb’s. Today I’m heading to Timaru grabbing some caches along the way. Gorgeous scenery along the drive, thanks for this cache. The clue had me searching in the wrong location.
I made a friend with a black and white cat as I was making the find. Cute wee thing. The find was made with supervision by the cat. Thanks
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie on way to Mega.
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event’s page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/)
Hoping to see you at the [Oamaru Geofest](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6M2V0_oamaru-geofest-2017) during Labour Weekend 21-22 October 2017. Let’s all help this a successful event!
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn’t be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn’t take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

I was on the way from Oamaru to Dunedin ....
This was a not a beautiful, sunny day ... only some sunny minutes I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container. The coords are right on the mark.
The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache right back where we found it.
*thanks to Bitsprayer for your cache*

Heading home to Christchurch after a weekend in Dunedin for the marathon, collecting some smiley faces along the way. TFTC
A day out in Palmerston for Hevic and I. We opted to walk to this one, which wasn't too bad until a couple of vehicles decided to whoosh past us. Ducking off the road on foot wasn't too bad, but I do wonder how much they saw... Cache was found high and dry and in good nick. Cheers!
Interesting cache description. Nice quick find here. Feel quite well travelled myself but there is a fair few kms still to go yet there and back home again. TFTC #8868
Jess.daphne and I were on a road trip back to Christchurch and what better way to spend some time than hunting for a cache or two? Since we were in town we decided to spin around the back roads and stop for this cache. We quickly found it and signed the log. Tftc.
Traveling with Injeanious from Chch to Dunedin for a weekend visit. We found the most caches in one day ever, for us going down, then did even better on the return trip heading back up State Highway 1. TFTC!!
Clearly I am far too literal ! LOL
After much peering around and serious contemplation about the need for special equipment all preconceived (hint induced) ideas were abandoned and AHAH! there it is

After watching the all blacks win the world cup, my muggle friends and I were buzzing and as it was a nice day we decided to go to St Bathans via the pig route as a fun road trip to get some sun and take advantage of this long day.
Quick find.... not sure if that was were it was meant to be

Heading south for the week with work quick stop in Palmy for this one tftc
Easy find at the back of Palmerston. Discovered a Travel Bug stamp in the book. We have never seen one of those before. Good idea though. Watched a train cross in front of us.
Found this cache today while we travelled from Dunedin to our Motel @ Oamaru. We made some stops to visit geocaches on our way. This was a good found!
In many caches I logged with my own TB STAMP. You can discover it! It's a real TB!
