After checking up on this one, I have decided that it is no longer safe to get to. As the stream banks are severely eroded and there are various rodent traps in the cache vicinity, I feel the responsible thing is to archive this.
I have now removed the cache, so time to allow someone else the chance to place something in the area.
A big thanks to Bunkshyde for checking and maintaining this for me over the last 4 years since I moved north.

Second time lucky. Found it really quickly this time on a walk from waikanae. Picked up a Christmas themed trackable, great timing! TFTC
Finally found. Searched with Road Runner and found quickly. Took a trackable. TFTC.
No find today unfortunately. Searched for a while, then left and did other caches, came back later, GPS led me till 3 meters away, searched base of a few giants but then GPS told me it was 1.5 km away! Didn't want to try for too long so gave up and left, will come back another day though.
Checked cache this morning! I will replace log next week now that it has been dried
Dropped off a Trackable
Dropped off a Trackable
Dropped by to place a Trackable and check that the cache is still safely tucked into its little hidey-hole....and it is
Why I pay attention to met service I do not know, the weather report said it was going to be drizzle in the morning before clearing, so mucked around at home before heading out at 10ish weather was good, many dnf logs which was a pity but also 13 founds which was much under the 40 I had wanted to get, not to worry enjoyed the finds and some very well put together finds, sorry about the copy and past logs but a very big thank you for putting the caches out for us to find.
After logging a DNF on the other side of the reserve we headed for this one, initially he a ng down the wrong path, we quickly realised the error of our ways and corrected our route. We quickly arrived at GZ where Papa Bear and little bear went one way and Mama Bear went another, Mama Bear soon spotted the cache, eureka. The fun of geocaching and visiting places you might have never otherwise known about. All well with the cache. Tftc
Trying to find this with the phone and initally was on the wrong back. On the right back, then walked right past. After a bit of searching, 1grunta's log gave me another clue then I spotted it. TFTC
Was dark by the time I got in here.
Spent a long time circling trees on the opposite side of the track, and was about to give up, when I decided to check this tree.
Bingo!

Working nearby today so after work decided to grab a couple of caches on the way home. Needed a regular for a challenge trying to complete so this was my main target. Bit of an adventure getting there, Can see the flood damage that has been done to the stream banks. Cache itself took me ages to find but eventually tracked down in possibly one of the first places I looked. The joys of geocaching. Thanks for the cache and grabbed the TB that has been sitting here for a little while.
Dropping trackable off (at last) Apologies to owner for taking so long to get back on the move! Good luck in your travels.
What a lovely area. Have passed many times and not known this place was here. Thanks. Riverbank eroded, but container all good.
Nice little side track on our bike ride this afternoon. The track in has seen better days, the bank is partially collapsed into the stream after the recent rain but just enough room to squeeze past and reach the cache. Thanks for hiding
Thanks to bunkshyde once again, this has had some maintenance performed to clean out the flood waters from the container. Its all dry and good to go.
[black]Please Note: Geocachers are asked to exercise caution when using the access path to this cache as the recent Kapiti Floods have severely damaged the edge of the stream and path above. Do not go near the edge of the banks and please don’t damage the sandy banks any further as you pass through.

Cache contents are all dry and a new log has replaced the old one which fell apart!
Cache is now back in its hiding place amongst the mighty Kahikatea.

Due to the floods, this has been taken away to dry out the contents by my friendly helper bunkshyde. Thanks Peter.
Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.
Not sure I made the most efficient approach coming from the Bunyip and the GPS batteries had to be changed mid search - but got there in the end!

What a beautiful spot! Thanks for bringing us here, we enjoyed exploring the reserve. The work that has been done by volunteers is very impressive. Tftc!
Good cryptic clue TFTC
Geo daughter too does it again. The gps didn't help because those two or three metres plus or minus made it a bit confusing with the many Kahikatea trees

Checked up on this today. Everything is good. Please rehide well, but avoid leaving a parallel pile of sticks - it makes it too obvious. Left a Geocoin.
Entered the reserve on the wrong side of the stream so had to make a big leap across. Found the cache soon after, really enjoyed seeing all the giant trees
Thanks for the cache!

What a lovely area - thanks for bringing us here. Took a while to find the right entry point for this one, but got there in the end. tftc
nice and easy, once we were on the right side of the stream, haha, good little spot of natives. tftc
Another one of those places I never knew existed. Great little bush walk with a decent canopy to shade you away from the beating down sun. Quickly found cache just as it was described. SLTFTC
An absolutely beautiful area, very glad i had the opportunity to visit it. TFTCSL
Logging this one a little late as forgot to when I completed this one a few weeks ago. Nice little loop track. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC
Thanks for the cache. I found it at 11:58 am on 9/09/14. Finally! GPS kept taking me to the wrong side of the track then changing all over the place! Contents dry and on good condition.
We had trouble with the GPS on this cache. One moment its over there, we walk towards it but it changes direction. We eventually found it using a pokey stick which we found useful as there wasn't any of the usual cachers cover to identify it.
Thanks for the cache, which was in good condition

Cache # 1,896 - Came back today for another visit. Could not find a pathway onto the correct side of the stream from the parking area, so did a longer walk and eventually found where to go in. Then spent 10-15 minutes searching. GPS couldn't get a good lock on the area, and closest it ever came to the eventual GZ was 7 metres away. Cache in good shape. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Thought this would be a reasonably quick grab before a meeting in the area, but as I approached the GZ I realised I was on the wrong side of the river. Not sure where the other trail might be, but will try again sometime later.
Cycled here with Mr.T. Nice easy find amongst some lovely trees. Looks like some mugglers have also chosen to write in the log, pity. We've covered it well in its hiding place. The Greendale Reserve volunteers have done wonders with this reserve, it was a pleasure to visit.
It's a large cache, we have great co-ores and we widened the search area but still couldn't see it. Perhaps it's there and we are just blind. we did see a suspicious pile of sticks in a likely spot but no cache
Walked around to GZ did not no if it had another way but did not take long, Approached the giant and open the cache to sign the log , I took the Southern Planisphere GC nice , TFTC TNXPro
Checked up on this. All good. Have left a beautiful looking geocoin to help it on it travels. Please look after this Geocoin and pass it on as soon as you can.
One of those, "gee, never been here before" moments and much enjoyed the effort that has been made to secure this lovely pocket of bush. Once at GZ we made a straightforward find.
Cache in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
From here on in the day just kept getting better and better!
The Turtle strikes again!

Wow - I really messed this one up. After my initial approach left me on the wrong side of the stream, I re-read the description and a few log entries, I thought I figured it out. I went back to the beginning and tried to find a track on the north side of the stream. After some serious bush-bashing with no sign of a track anywhere, I finally gave up and went back to the beginning again. I re-read the log entries, tried a third time and finally got it right. Ironically, once I was actually at GZ, I spotted the cache straight away. My third attempt was a very enjoyable walk. TFTC.
Moral of the story - if you are bush-bashing - you're doing it wrong.

Lots of muggles enjoying an early evening stroll around the Greendale Reserve, Took the long way round, isn't that always the case? TFTC.

After a false start from the wrong end and wrong side of stream we sorted it out. TFTC.
After starting from the wrong end we got there and found it easily. Found with KateNZ
I'm glad I pulled up to this cache and read the description otherwise I would've headed down the track on the wrong side! The gps didn't like the tree cover so it was a bit of hit and miss searching for this one but having a good hint helped and I soon had the cache in hand.

A lovely little reserve hidden away. Found after the gps bounced around for a bit. TFTC
After previously being unsuccessful here, we were encouraged by the CO's recent check and came out for another look. An easy find today on a lovely morning. Tftc.
Came here a while ago with Jimbob999, but couldn't smell the giants foot odour.when team Jimbob returned, though,it was an instant find. Thanks
we went up the wrong side of the creek GPS was out by 6 meters but we find it ok TFTC
Found myself on the wrong side of the creek initially but managed to get the paperwork completed. TFTC
Nice size cache in a scenic area. Cool to see some natives in a moderately built up area. TFTC!
Checking up on cache as have been forced to leave the district because of work. Dropped off a couple of TB's from up north. Still good to go, but the quality of the swaps is declining.
What a wonderful reserve. First time here and found it during one of our bike rides. Wasn't until we entered that we thought 'there must be a cache in here'. Thankfully we had a phone that we could check it out. Tremendous amount of work has been done in here, looks great. TFTC

The cache finds go a lot faster when you are on the right side of the stream. Found in the dark by torch light. TFTC

A fairly quick find after coming into the reserve from the south end. There are certainly some impressive trees in the area. TFTC
glad I entered from other end the second time!!!!! the river was now on the correct side!
What a great little reserve, I enjoyed my walk, thanks for bringing me here TFTC TNXPro
I too took the wrong side of the stream at first. The stream is drawn in the wrong place. Folled the GPS all over the place before I found the treasure. -TB-TB+PT
Find #1323. Found on a cycle ride from Waikanae to Mana, mostly following the Kapiti Coastal Cycle Route with deviations for caches, many of which I missed providing a good excuse to do this ride again. Enjoyed this reserve [apart from the multitude of barking dogs] and the fact that it connects with King Arthur Drive. Spent far too long looking for this one and saw obvious signs of hunters before me. Was focused on a couple of trees and was about to give up when I tried one further away, and bingo! SL, TFTC.
Just checking in on this and thought I'd better drop off a TB which has been in my possession probably too long.
Last cache of the day and took the wrong side of the river as the first mistake.. Then followed the path which led us directly to a tree but no cache. Widened the search to 3 more trees and nearly gave up. Each time my GPS pointed to another tree under the tree cover and the last tree I searched we found the cache.. Thanks for the lovely walk and showing us this spot..
What a lovely quiet little reserve..
Found cache after a short search.
Left the "fish out of water" TB, & a pet rock - a monkey. TFTC

9.15am. Reception hopeless in there. But still a quick find using the hint. Found at second try. Took the TB and left 4 I have brought over from Queensland.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
#2965. A nice reserve and loop walk. Unfortunately, neither Bovine Betty Travel Bug nor One ring TB was in the cache.

Was in Waikanae cleaning up a few of the caches that were placed since the last time I have had an opportunity to grab, saw this cache as we made our way to the cache that was just down the road and decided to do this one on the way out. Arriving near the entrance to GZ we found a carpark across the road and then I started to follow agcnz to supposably where he thought the cache was and then we realised that we were on the wrong side of the stream , so back to the entrance and then followed the other path and we soon arrived at GZ, finding the cache took a bit longer than it should have as our GPS was bouncing around so we decided to use caching nouse and soon agcnz stumbled on to the cache. Decided to drop the following trackables into the cache for a short stay and hopefully they wont get muggled, Big B TB, Scary Shark TB, Travel GPS Tag and Worn mom TB, but I also noticed that there was suppose to be some other trackables in the cache but I didn't see any signs of them, what a great spot for a cache, thanks for placing it here and for bringing us to this lovely spot, TFTC TNSL (4328)
