After finding two caches on the Goldfields Road, it turned out to be an epic getting to these series of caches because of the recent rain. I continued along Goldfields Rd then down Rabbit Fence Road but came across a large muddy section of road and I knew my husband’s Prius wouldn’t get through it, so I turned around and made a long detour to this cache. At this stage I hadn’t seen another vehicle in my more than an hour of driving. At gz, the road is narrow, but pulled over as far as I could. Quick find and log signed. Tftc
Lovely Sunday drive - even tho is is only Saturday morning! Out with muggle sister, showing her the back way into the Granite Belt.
We had already started the Pike series a few weeks ago, so started at #7 then continued...
I love a sun burnt country... easy find
Thanks Team Robins

On our way to Stanthorpe we found this cache quickly. Lots of sheep around and nice surrounds. Tftc Team Robins
After a long anticipated 4 day hike in NSW, that was originally planned for this week, had to be abandoned because of the border closures, Crookedpete, JezNDez and I rearranged the week to start with a hike along the Stretcher Track and end with an extended weekend hiking in Giraween.
Leaving Brisbane early Friday morning to avoid any peak hour traffic, our first stop was for coffee and some breakfast in Warwick before heading on towards Stanthorpe.
Back in 2015 Crookedpete and I, in company with Swellerfungus, ventured down this road in search of the myriad of cached that used to be littered along here but this was not one of the ones I targeted on that occasion. In preparation for this trip I noted that it had been over 12 months since the last find here so I made sure that it was added to our itinerary. A short search of the area and were soon signing our names in the logbook. TFTC

It was a good caching day today and we picked up some more smiley faces for our map, along with ilook4geo. We found more caches in a few different series and only had one DNF to spoil the day. Each of the caches had the log signed, usually as GP2 and ilg. Each container was then put back into place as it had been found.
Only the remains of the cache container were found here and no log, as previously noted.
We thought it would be good to keep the cache in play, so have replaced it with a pill bottle and included a paper log inside it. This was then placed under a couple of rocks to keep it in place. All is good to go again.
Our thanks go to Team Robins for placing this cache and adding to the fun of the game.

Caching along mostly very quiet country roads today with goingplaces2 gave a really good result for the day. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we were soon headed off to the next find.
This one we had to replace as it was in terrible condition.
Thanks for this cache.

TFTC and bringing me to this part of the country. Very nice out here. This cache has seen better days and needs replacing. The sistema container has perished in the weather and there is no log sheet. I have placed some card in what is left of the container, but don’t believe it will last long!
This cache has seen better days. The sistema container has basically perished by being out in the weather and it does not have a log sheet either
This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching. My apologies if this appears in multiple caches but I have been really slack and accumulated a heap of drafts and not done anything about them.
Quick find on our little road trip. Container is basically non existent. Needs maintenance.
Our last one along this country road today. There are so many kangaroos and Wallabies around so it is certainly wise to drive a little slowly.
We found the geocache safely tucked away, signed the log and stopped to have a bite of lunch.
Thanks Team Robins,
Domsky

This morning we started caching at the junction of the New England Highway and Pikedale Road and during the day, we gradually worked our way south into Palgrave Road, Loloma Road and Mount Janet Road. We started at about 8:45am and finished the caches on our list as the sun set. We enjoyed the variety of caches and the scenery along the way.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache container is starting to feel brittle but is still weatherproof. The contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Robins for the cache.

A wonderful weekend away in Stanthorpe resulting in 374 finds, including 22 mystery (Stanthorpe Apple) and 1 Earthe cache. I hoped to log each individually as I usually would but the tyranny of time prevents me from continuing to try and achieve this goal. A big thank you to all the Stanthorpe CO's. We said many times we wish we had more consolidated trails in Brisbane. TFTC
Favourite point here! While we were expiring this extremely awesome stump (don't say those words too often!) we spotted a lizard who had come to help! Took about 50 photos of him before we got back to the search! All good here - pic attached
2/7/16 Out caching with Marina25 and my two semi-muggle children. We are on a mission to get Marina25 to 1000 finds by mid-July and she still needs approx. 300 . So….what better place to grab a bucket load of caches then out here. We left home at 4:52am with the kids rugged up with blankets hoping they would fall back asleep (the boy did, the girl didn’t – but they both slept on the way home [^]). We found our fist cache at 7:23 am (GC3YDQE) and our last cache at 5:31pm (GC4AGVK). At the end of the day we had found 220 caches , 4 DNFs , cached for 10hrs and 8mins (including a 25min lunch stop ), with a 16hr and 5min round trip. On the drive out the temperature was noted to be -2 degrees at 6:40am, but on the whole the weather was delightful.
Usually my children complain about going geocaching (and to begin with, today was no exception) but soon enough the daughter started helping and then I couldn’t stop her. She even managed to find a few before me . In the days leading up to this adventure we loaded a large number of caches onto our iPhones and I also decided to do a pocket query onto my GPS, just in case. I am so glad I did as at one point our loaded caches on the phones had run out and service was not sufficient to download any more . A great day was had by all and I am very keen to come back and complete the various series we started today.
Sorry for the copy and paste logs and unless noted all is good with this cache. A big thankyou to all the CO’s and those that maintain these caches. TFTC

Went out today with a mission in mind to try and get 100 caches, so the plan was plotted, and Annett (AKA 14NET) downloaded the power trails between Warwick and Stanthorpe. We headed OFF at 4:52am for our 183KLM trip to Warwick and a further 20 KLM to our first cache. It is now 7:23am and number 1 was in our grasp we checked our times every 10 caches, to accomplish our mission we had to get 1 cache each 3.2 minutes, we had 10 by 7:55am we were right on target. The hunt was on and no time to lose, when we got to cache 100 we were well ahead of time and a new mission came to mind let’s get 200, our best 10 caches was done in 14 minutes that was 1.4 mins per cache, our goal is now becoming a reality. We get to number 200 and there is still daylight whoohoo let’s see how many more before nightfall. We logged our last cache number 220 at 5:31pm and arrived home at 8:57 pm. Thank you 14 NET for being a very motivated caching buddy and also the Geo Grand Kiddies for being such great sports. TFTC to all the CO’S and Cache maintainers.
Off on a trip up North we decided to do some speed caching, managed to bag some 254 over the weekend. A great time away although short really enjoyed the caches and naturally the area.

Trying to finish the AS trail today, find number 805. Found with TsyeymToronyu.
Surprisingly I felt great, refreshed even. I didn't even feel tired, a little sore from climbing in and out of the car all day but otherwise great. I thought bugger it, so I flew up to the top end of the power trails for some more. I didn't fully complete everything up there either but I managed to pick off a few odd ones here and there along the way as well plus the other short trail. By the time I found a rest stop to curl up into the fetal position for the night on the back seat, it was close to 11.
A few hours short of the 24 available but I was done. I had an absolute blast today, sure I probably can't remember every hide off the top of my head now but it was the best fun I've had caching in a long time. I reckon everyone should have a crack at finding as many as they can in a day. I loved the Rabbit Fence Rd, it's so peaceful out there. I think 3 cars past me all day. It's a beautiful part of the world that I'd be happy to come back and visit any time.
I wanted to visit Quart Pot creek before I left so in the morning I headed down for a few more finds and some exploring. I stopped in to have another look at one I couldn't find last night but it is definitely gone. Then hit the highway for the Goldie.
I truly did have a blast today. That's two mad caching visits to Stanthorpe now for me. Hopefully next time I can stay longer and maybe relax a little...na probably not.
My apologies for the cut and paste logs but it by no means reflects the caches or hides, it would just take me forever to do what I normally do. Appreciate the initial planning, buying, deploying and the up keep the CO's do out here. Well done, I thank you all.
Oh and I signed with mm29 on all logs today to save time, seconds count in this type of behaviour after all. Sometimes it was under the last finder and sometimes it was a clear space I saw when I flicked through the log.
Thanx again

For weeks now Geocaching.com has been telling us all to go out and make the most of the extra day this year and for weeks I figured because it was a Monday I'd be at work so I'd make a few finds in the early hours of the morning then try my best to attend two, if not all three of the events being held on the Gold Coast today.
But then I had a thought about heading out here to try my luck at the popular 200 in a day challenge some cachers do. I managed to convince my beautiful wife that it was an excellent idea and before long it was all systems go. Sunday was crazy, I spent the morning organising what I needed to take and piled it into the car that I would call home for roughly 48 hours.
By the time I made it to Stanners Sunday afternoon I had enough time to head out of town for the challenge cache, come back in, realise there was a ftf up for grabs but missed it, a quick trip to a local watering hole then find somewhere to park for the night. I settled in for a bit of planning for tomorrow and a few cold one's when I remembered I had to call someone. A fellow geocaching friend, which after talking to had me worried that I might not be able to do it alone. My heart sunk, don't tell me this last minute dash for cash was going to be a flop. Ahhhhhhh.
I was worried now, so much so that I could hardly sleep. I was wide awake just before 1am. Bugger it I thought, I'll stick to my plan and head south for a group of caches, pluck of a few around town, head west for a few little streaks then hopefully before dawn head up to the serious stuff. Well as always it didn't really go to plan first up but I did find most of them. I didn't make it to this one by dawn which was the first one I found on the power trails but I wasn't far behind time. After filling the tank with petty, plus a jerry can just encase and a hot coffee for me I was soon driving down the dirt road dodging rabbit's and wallaby's.
A few times I had to slam on the brakes as they darted out in front of me. Surprisingly on this loose surface the ABS is no good as all four wheels locked up at the same time. I'm still not entirely sure how many I found today. I do know it was well over 200 and possibly over 300 but I'm still logging. I managed to visit every cache on the power trail below the cache called Glowing which took me 12 and a half hours to complete. By which time I was pretty knacked to say the least. I headed back into town via a few more stops of course then had a very welcoming bush shower and a well deserved coldie and hot chips.

We set aside today to challenge ourselves to find at least 150 caches in a day. Before last Mega in Stanthorpe, we had cleared the middle section of the AS Series, so this challenge meant starting at the bottom, then later moving to the top section, then back down the highway towards Stanthorpe until our target was reached. Apologies for this generic log: unless noted below the caches were in good order and available for future hunters - in some cases this meant stopping awhile longer to replace a log, and/or clean out the cache.

I had driven down from Brisbane for a quick day out caching. The idea to grab as many as i can along the power trails here. The day turned into a mission, with my GPS deciding to impersonate a brick, leaving me to use the phone, so lots of missed caches and backtracking. Great day out, lots of caches, sun, Kangaroos, sun, other flora, sun and more caches. Thanks for putting in the trail.
We are back for the 3rd and final day of this trip to find some of the Caches on these power trails. Thanks to all the CO's for the tremendous efforts in creating them. Well done. We apologise again for the generic logs.
Ah a power trail, this is what we are here for , to test a Router out, we ended with 126 caches found, 1 DNF in 6hrs 22minutes we started first cache in hand at 8.40am and the last cache was at 3.02pm
So sorry this log is cut and paste but we remember every cache
Thanx heaps to all cache placers, fine effort by all
we will be back

A target of 200 finds for the day meant an early start so we were up at 3:30am. Crookedpete, Seffnjarah and I got to our first cache by 4:25 on the A.S trail. We finished the day after 11 hours of caching with some interesting Stats:
270 finds including all of the A.S. Trail
3 DNF’s (Due to grading of the roadside that has taken a few trees away)
2 finds with three DNF’s on them before us (they are always nice to get!)
1Challenge puzzle completed.
My 2000th find somewhere along the way (but I don’t actually know which one)
And my favourite stat: 39 finds in 60 minutes – boy did we hoof it! Fun, Fun Fun!
Now for the caveat, as I know my partners in crime will no doubt mention in their logs, I did not manage to get to look for every cache! Well actually very few……ok….I only actually found 2 myself. You see I was the designated driver for the day. After some knee surgery 4 weeks ago, and only starting weight bearing again 2 days prior, the plan was hatched that I would happily drive for the day if my friends would add my name to the caches as we found them. They tell me that they did actually put my name in the log, but I am dubious.
I swear I will never attempt another power trail, as they are simply not my thing….but I am glad I have done it once so my thanks to the CO’s for their efforts. That must be a lot of work to maintain!
Thanks also to my partners in crime – sterling effort!

I have wanted to take a crack at a power trail for a while. My crazy companions today, SwellerFungus and SeffnJarah were really only lukewarm on the idea. But then a knee operation sidelined Fungus and he hit upon the idea of a power trail road trip, where he did the driving and Seff and I did all the hard work finding the caches .....as always.
An early start on a brisk Stanthorpe morning had the first cache in hand in the dark at 04:23. With a couple of hours break for lunch and 11 hours on the trail, I finished up before dark with 277 finds and 3 DNF's. A good dozen or so caches along the way really tested our finding abilities (ie Fungus actually stopped the car engine and joined the search) - mostly where overzealous road works had changed the landscape.
Highlights of the day included seeing the sun rise (and later set) over a foggy valley, finishing the entire A.S. Series in a day, signing a cache every 1 min 33 seconds to grab a huge 39 in an hour and mostly the endless banter and leg pulling with my companions (power trails would be dull without it!).
Many thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining this huge trail of caches, and particularly thanks to Team Robins for placing and maintaining this cache.

Thank you to the masters of these series of caches for their diligence and thoughtfulness in giving visitors to this region a vast number of little (and not so little) gems to discover and the opportunity to see so much countryside which quite possibly could never have been seen except to a very select number of passers-by.
Shockers were very aware of the beautiful sunburnt countryside as they travelled along the forest tracks.
Thanks to all involved in being Cos for these caches. Please excuse the generic comments as so many of these caches were discovered that it would take a month of Sundays to record separate notes on each one. Suffice to say they all had aspects of real inventiveness.

Today we did some post Mega caching finding 88 caches. Our aim was to finish the A.S.series and associated caches along the way.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day twelve is the last day we spent in the Stanthorpe region. First was the fruit run then finishing off the A.S. series. The rest of the day was spent collecting the left over caches that in fact took us to some of the more amazing places on this trip. Thanks.

Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.
Great Puzzles, Power Trails, landscapes, History, Apples!, and company. Politeness and respect by all

Politeness and respect by all
Many Personal records smashed this weekend First MEGA, Finds per day, Altitude, etc

Most of attempted caches were found and a good day, with about 100 finds, was had.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our overall Mega trip.....

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!
Greetings from Finland!

It's Ozmega 2015 time and I found this cache on my four and a half day weekend. Woohoo
Out with the junior geocacher and Gis+Ger today with an another attack on the AS & animal series. A much nicer day but very slippery roads but we were still able to grab a good number of various caches. We have had an enjoyable day.
Thanks Team Robins for placing & maintaining these cache for us to find.

Out caching with Happyfeet1 doing some of the A.S .series and sunburnt country while at the OZ mega.

MEGA was on so decided it might be a good idea to find some caches. "Some" ended up turning into a few hundred... the most exhausting experience.
Started in the city and pooh corner, ended up leaving a little late for Stanthorpe. Fun weekend, managed to get pushed into swimming across water a few times and finishing off some rum.

On a geocaching trip with tmann421 with the focus being the MEGA at Stanthorpe. A fantastic trip away seeing a part of the country I had not been to before, collecting caches along the way. Stamped the logs with t&J or our names. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
Found with richliink and .K.B. on day three of our Mega 2015 Stanthorpe adventure.
We decided that we would head off to tackle the A.S. series along with any other caches we came across enroute. Thanks Team Robins for your cache, which added to our fun.

Found on our mega caching adventure at the occasion of the QLD mega! We had a ball finding awesome caches, and are grateful to all the CO's for placing and maintaining them. We were signing logs as 'Team Polak' or just TP for sonia26642, /dev/gc0c, tunfisk and myself. Thank you so much for an unforgettable long weekend!!

Out and about with iluvtrekking and a 'delightful?' whirling dervish otherwise known as KB. Boy did she keep us on our toes at an unrelenting pace - her narratives were just as expansive! Although a very wet day we managed to get through a good chunk of the power trail and in the process saw some beautiful countryside. Thanks Team Robins.
Our first mega event very exciting. Came all the way from townsville. Loved the caches and puzzles and the effort that went in them. Tftc sl tnln

We found this cache while over in Stanthorpe for the Aussie mega. A super wonderful time, and super wonderful caches!! Thanks to all the COs, and event organisers! We had a blast!!
Second day, and we decided to see how many we could do. Ended up with about 202 I think it was - yay! Best day ever! And that wasn't even a full day, as we needed to be back in time for the markets at 2pm, to advertise the NZ mega - so a half day only really.
Left at 6am, together with Karma Reprint.
We signed almost every log as 'Team Polak' over this trip which consists of hinemoana, sonia26642, /dev/gc0c, and tunfisk - to save time, our hands from overuse, and the logsheets
But on this trail, we signed as TP + KR. Even shorter!

On our first whole day at the Mega me and Jackylegs44 set out to do a bit of the powertrails around here. Signing the logs as JK44. Good quality to be a powertrail, well maintained caches and perfect roads for it.
The day begun gray and we had rain to an from. Few others out and about today, but we did meet a few nice fellow cachers out on the trail
Thanks for this hide

Out caching with Kiwi Nomad and ADV. Enjoyed doing all the caches that we found.
WOW while heading towards this cache my caching buddy Cricketski spotted a huge eagle sitting in a dead tree out in the middle of the paddock. We pulled up and I got the camera and 300mm telephoto out. Leaning up against a tree to steady things I took a few shots. Very happy with them. The eagle was looking rather wet and scruffy.
More sunburnt country that wasn't today. Thanks Team Robins for placing and maintaining so many caches.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Many thanks for all the placements [^]

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Cats&Dragons, Alpenmilch80, Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "CAVVY" to save time and log space.) Our main focus of the day was the power trails between Stanthorpe and Warwick. We left Stanthorpe at dawn and drove straight to Warwick, then slowly made our way south again through the power trails. It was a long day out caching, where we found over 300 caches! Apologies for the copy and paste logs, but its hard to remember them all! TFTC!
