Searched high and low for a half hour with no luck. Phone and GPS were taking us dancing all around the hall, never experienced this before, so gave up our search.

Ok, here is a bit of a story for you by which we will remember this cache.
We (geo junior and geo mum) were on our way to find a new cache not far from here and dropped in on the way for a toilet stop. Flushed and thought Ugh! What was that? A big black gooey thingy went down the pipe. Must have been a bit of gooey stuff that forms in unused wet places...
Went, found the other cache and returned, only for geo junior to need a toilet stop too. Didn't want to use the mens, because of too many spiders, so I took him to the ladies (he's only a little fella). Did what he needed to and flushed, only to see another black gooey thing go down the drain. Ugh! Yuk! But THEN! Low and behold that black gooey thingy came back up, scrambled onto dry ground and jumped out of the toilet!!!
The look on our faces must have been priceless - it was a frog!!!
Poor froggy got disturbed and nearly drowned twice in one morning Sad
Lesson: Narrikup not only has guard frogs for their caches, they also have toilet frogs!

Oh, and re the cache, geo junior had the right inkling and pointed geo mum in the right direction. The child came out, retrieved and signed the cache and junior had the honour of putting it back Smile
TFTC Jaydreams and for an unforgettable stop Wink

Stopped by on the way to Albany for the weekend. Took a little while as GPS had trouble deciding where GZ was. Had to wait until the mums had picked the kids up off the school bus.

1:24:00 PM. On our trip west and picking up a few caches. As we couldn't get into the national parks today we headed to Mt Barker then Albany. Pulled into this one and thought I am glad we have some shade as it was getting hot. After a bit of a search I looked further and there it was. Signed log and returned to the air con. Thanks Jaydreams for placing this cache.

We are approaching our 1000th find, and have been wanting to attack the Bushranger Series. So as a joke (hint) I suggested to Hubby that we pull the seats out of the back of the Kia, pop in an air mattress and cache our way to Albany. Well Hubby accepted the challenge Smile - we also put solar fairy lights in the back so we had light while camping. It was a fun, laugh a minute, challenging little three day trip. I am copying and pasting most of my logs, with a little special mention here and there.

Thankyou all for placing these caches, we had a ball and were taken to places we would never have gone.

Couldn't for the life of us find it. Plus the GPS gave up and had us walking in circles. Then people emerged from nowhere and roamed around, something out of a weird arthouse movie so we left. Next time.

The holiday in Albany ended and we headed back to Perth. Decided to grab some caches on the way home.

29-Mar-14
The first day in WA with BettyBoo3747. We flew in this morning and grabbed a car, travelled down to Albany doing a few caches on the way, just to keep our hand in.
The road into to Narrikup from the north was different to what we currently have on our maps (time for an update?), so we drove around a bit before crossing the railway line.
A nice old hall. Took a little while to locate because the GPSr didn't want to settle.
Fortunately, there was no one around today, so it was an uninterrupted search.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 5828. After arriving in Perth this morning we grabbed the hire car and headed straight out of town towards Albany where we will stay for a few days. We managed to find a few caches on the journey south.

Almost at our destination but time for one more cache. Someone blocked the rail line so we had to turn around in the muddy mess and find another way to cross the line. Soon found the hall but took a little time to locate the cache. Got there in the end and now we really mush push on to our accommodation. It has been a very long day.

Thanks Jaydreams

03-Mar-14
Found, while travelling to Mount Barker, plenty of parking for the caravan.
We have enjoyed this small series of caches, as it has taken us to some lovely old halls.
Took a little longer than expected to find this one, although it wasn't that hard.
Many thanks for the hunt today, Jaydreams.

31-Jan-14
Easy find on way home from Albany.

09-Oct-13
Did a dance around this hall as well today. Lovely area, with playground as well. It's amazing how different these halls are. Some are community oriented, whereas others are just 'halls'!! TFTC

09-Oct-13
Danced around this hall for a bit....then I found it nice and quick. TFTC

Well, I was right, it was a guard frog. It was off duty today so the cache was easy and had in minutes. Ah, the challenges we cachers face from those who hide them. Guard frogs, my word. Loved it, thanks!

The shop was closed so no cup of tea, and that would be one reason for not finding the cache. The second could be the guard frog. As I reached to poke around in a likely spot I realized what I was hoping was a cache had two pop out eyes. Training frogs to guard caches is a new trick! You wonder how frogs get to some of the places they perch, and why. I'll pop back another day as so many said it was easy. Cup of tea first but.

Thanks Jaydreams.

On holidays with IlandthaK, in your area, we enjoyed the "Halls" caches. I had to send other monkey child up and about for this one. TFTC

11-May-13
I'm on holiday in the south-west corner of WA with Triciac2 Big Grin Day 2 of our trip and we continued south-east along the Albany Hwy from Kojonup to Albany, then west to Denmark. We picked up 12 caches on our travels today. We did a fair bit of dancing around the halls today [^] Cool At this one we searched lots of spots before the right one was found, but then had to wait while two lots of muggles made use of the nearby big bins Twisted Then I got to play monkey child Big Grin TFTC, Jaydreams. A clever hide.

14-Mar-13
Looked everywhere, high and low but not luck. We ended the search after appr. 1 hour as a guy in a car started to monitor all our moves. Maybe next time? Thanks for bringing us here anyway Jaydreams.

04-Mar-13
We will be back to look again.

04-Jun-12
Can not believe we didn't find this the first time!!

02-Jun-12
We were on our way to Albany for the classic car race for a fun weekend.
Coordinates had us looking in the right area and we spotted it within a minute. Its probably in the sort of place we would put one so we had no trouble locating it.
Thanks for the short break.

20-May-12
No muggles on a Sunday afternoon baby bear find. Nice easy cache .

28-Apr-12
This cache completed a morning Geocaching with Albany Getaway and Albany Canucks covering an area of the Porongurups, Mt Barker and home to Albany. Being the last on the list and having completed quite a few Dancing 'Round the Halls caches I thought this would be a quick find and then home for lunch. Not so! Albany Canucks and Albany Getaway found it quickly and then I looked and looked - squatted, stretched felt, prodded, etc. etc. all the while being frustrated that the others had found it so quick. However persistence paid off and I could log a find. Thanks the the series of Halls.

28-Apr-12
Our last find for the morning. Quick and easy find.

28-Apr-12
With others reporting overly curious neighbours and even several DNFs, we approached this cache expecting somewhat of a challenge. The coordinates proved to be spot on, and I had it spotted almost immediately, with Albany Getaway getting his eyes on it just moments later. This meant that the two of us could enjoy a few minutes of entertainment watching Southern Boomers make the find, which eventually he did of course - those boomers don't give up easily! Really enjoy the `Round the Halls' series, thank you Jaydreams, and thanks to Albany Getaway and Southern Boomers for a fantastic morning!

24-Apr-12
Yay! Finally found this one after nearly giving up. Wasn't too sure about the place it was hidden as it required a few 'antics' that I'm not sure the locals would appreciate. All good in the end, though, and that clocked up # 8 of 9 finds for the day. Thanks Jaydreams.

22-Apr-12
considering theres not many people live in this town, they all seemed to come flooding over to see what we were doing, had to stay a while longer i wanted too,but eventually found it

tftc

19-Apr-12
We searched and searched and couldn't find it Sad maybe another day

15-Apr-12
Took a bit to find, however a very friendly young cat kept me entertained whilst searching. Great spot for kids to run round safely. TFTH

06-Apr-12
We looked and looked and every time we got close to GZ the GPS cut out due to overhead obstruction, so we were not quite sure exactly where to look. We covered a very wide area but no luck. Must be good camo. Thought neighbours might call police as we must have looked very sus!!

25-Mar-12
We looked and looked and we failed.

24-Mar-12
Just about to give up when, true to form, MBL found it.
