Got the correct coordinates from the first stage. Loved the murals and enjoyed the view of town but sadly couldn't find the cache.
Nice walk. #11 consecutive day find. Was thinking of attaching pic of tank mural, but thought, if you want to see it make the walk. Its a great mural. Good view about the place too. Good spot for a cache. Tftc.
Well there's a lot of different tracks in around this park and an awesome mural on the water tank lots of Tui flying around great afternoon in and around Kawerau. Tftc
Holy tolledo! That's alot of ants! Braved them to sign the book. Great co-ords took us right to the spot. TFTC
After what had been a full week and the disappointment of not heading to White Island on Saturday and then it being once again cancelled late last night Alpenmilch80 and I decieded to head over this way and see what we could find before possibly making it back to the event in Rotorua later in the day.
After the disappointment of not going away this could not have been a nicer day to spend caching with a very good friend. This was our first cache of the day here in Kawerau and as previously had had trouble with muggled caches so was unsure how our luck would hold out but were just happy to grab what we could.
It took only a moment to locate the cache in a nice little park that we had never visited before, soon had the cache in hand retruned to its spot and we were on our way once again. Today we signed most of the caches as "ACDC".
Thanks for the cache and the fun contained therein

Plans were made to head to White Island this weekend with Cats&Dragons but weather forecasted some gale warnings and the operator cancelled on us twice. Being already down in Hamilton we decided for Sunday to make a full day out to collect 50 smiles. And that’s what we indeed did. .
Beside the weather warning it turned out to be a great day with a lot of laughter and awesome company. Signed the logs as "ACDC" \m/. Multi provided a great walk to get some calories off. TFTC

We enjoyed exploring Monika Latham Reserve this afternoon. Took a little while at WP1 as the cache had become very deeply concealed. Walked to the final and made a much quicker find here. Thanks.
Some great views of the town from this reserve. Thanks for bringing us up here. #240
Both 1st WP and cache have been invaded by ants, but they are still in working order TFTC
11856... T'ants Marc... enjoyed viewing his artwork around Kawerau, a nice quick multi, cache has been overrun with Ants, TFTC.
The waypoint was quickly located, and we headed off up the hill to this most interestingly decorated tank, one of many examples of this artist’s work we have seen while caching around Kawerau. TFTC

Last resting place difficult to find. We had a good search but had to resort to decrypting the clue to confirm we were in the correct location. We were, and with a bit more of a thorough hunt around came up trumps. TFTC
On a midweek secret squirrel assignment in Kawerau... Told no one I was coming.
Third visit to find this cache. Each time I have tried to input the final coords, a pin is dropped across Fenton Mill Rd. This is my iPhone at its best. Always knew this was the wrong final location.
Tried another geocaching app last night and came up with a likely final. This new information is the reason why I decided to visit today. Walked up the hill and found the cache immediately. Yay me. TFTC.

Really enjoyed this multi, and great view from the top. Fantastic artwork on the tank TFTC.
We found a school, and walked in across the field to an entry point we'd used on an earlier caching occasion ... Oops!
It turned out to be the wrong school, we hadn't seen the name of the school and parked in the wrong place . But it was a most enjoyable walk to GZ. We met up with Mr & Mrs Kennyclan on their descent, and enjoyed another catch-up after yesterday's Kawerau Event.
Thanks for the multi, it was a very splendid mural indeed.

Everything gets top marks. Cache, the walk, the mural, the view & catching up with Mr & Mrs Lionfish on the way down.Thankyou.
There are some really nice parks and reserves in Kawerau and this is one of them! Fortunate to meet Willbuild in the 'stone carving' carpark as he was kind enough to offer advice on a scenic (and efficient) route to do both this cache and the stone carving cache.
The mural on the water tank is absolutely stunning! So much detail. Didn't count all the birds but liked the Kokako the best. A favoutite point for me for the nice walk and beatutiful artwork.
MAny thanks

Great area with lots of new plantings - great work done on the water tank as well. This one had me looking and looking - had to make a quick call to Janet - who confirmed that I was so close. Enjoyable multi TFTMC
Came in up the stairs the back down to part one. Walk to the terraces cache before come back to find part two. Not easy to find .
We struggled to find this, even with the great clues...and it was right "in our face". Having called the owners for help, we promptly called around there and talked geocaching, then forgot to log it! No wonder we were one out in the GPS receiver record Thanks for the great walk and find! The mural is fabulous, and all graffiti had been quickly removed.

Yay, managed to fill in another dot day for April while attempting to clear up the new Kawerau caches that have started to build up since our last visit to our Neighbour's at the bottom of that hill, we were not expecting to have a crack at the FTF as we had jobs to do around the house this morning before we were allowed out to play.
We parked up at the suggested spot and let the dogs run about while we looked for the waypoint and final, awesome area, they have cleaned the place up well in the last couple of years! Still a shame someone felt the need to add to the mural with their own style of art, one seen all too much around bridges and derelict buildings..... Now for a quick jog up that mountain for one more cache.
