Fantastic little cache find with my cache Wife and cache Husband!

Maintenance Walk. Added some more reflectors. Replaced log sheet - all good to go!!

snipsandco and I had an earlier night cache appointment with Violet some steak and blueberry pie and were eager to try another night cache.I was a little hesistant about an older night cache but there was no need as the reflectors (and possums and dog collars!) lit up quite nicely most of the way. We were soon making our way around this park with as much excitement as the nearby sportspeople scoring goals at their training. I wonder what the wurundjeri people thought about our use of torches as they probably would have expertly navigated by star light or floral scents. I was grateful for my bright torch though to spot the crafty cache.thanks GJMMelb for our night time adventure

KristysAdventures and I were out and about in the area at night ... well, we couldnt go past this one. It was a cool night with crisp air, all adding to our excitement. A 12 year old reflector trail eh, this is going to be interesting! Oh, and it was. The COs instructions and ever so kind HINT were perfect when we were concerned there was really no need for it, where we were puzzled, again, really no need. With the way points navigated we were on the final leg to GZ. This is where I stumbled. Figuratively, not literally. My excuse? The darkness? the tiredness? Nope, I think the cache should be given credit its a really good hide and even if it was day and I was feeling all perky, I may have missed it just the same. Lucky KristysAdventures looked where I had already looked. Thanks GJMMelb, a great night cache.

Found with a little bit of help from the CO. Nice camo. I literally put my hand next to it initially but with a prod from the CO the cache was in hand. TFTC!

I always have so much fun finding **Night** caches and the other day I realised I hadn't found a **Night** cache for awhile, and so I figured I would turn my attention to start working on ['s](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=fdc60ecd-0f01-4bbe-8c8d-bc4200f1f8d5&wid=9a398687-12ce-4f6f-bc7b-754dd235d000&ds=2) [Australian Nightcaching Masters Challenge (GC32ZJY)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC32ZJY).So, last night I decided to head to the nearest **Night** cache, which just so happened to be this one. I ended up finding a parking spot right near the posted coordinates.Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten to put my high powered torch back in my back bag after my last **Night** caching trip. However, luckily I did have a cheapo head torch in the geomobile for emergencies. So I donned the head torch and began my night time trek. It was great weather for a **Night** cache, cool, but not cold and with clear skies. I am not entirely sure if some of the reflectors are missing, or the trees have grown, or I simply missed to see some of them due to the poor strength of my head torch, but there were definitely times were I was wandering around not sure where the next reflector was. However, I had a rough guess of the general path / direction I was meant to be going, and every time I told myself I am going to go to this spot and if I don't see anything I'll double back to the last one and go a different direction, I would ended up spotting the next reflector right before the turnaround point. So although I wasn't always confident during my night time trek, I was always headed in the right direction. I was relieved and am happy to report that all the reflectors near the final 2 reflectors were present and were easily navigable.I then found the 2 reflectors, and moved on to the very nearby structure, where I was able to easily locate the coordinates for GZ. The numbers were a little hard to read, but eventually I was able to figure out what they said. However, I accidentally swapped the south and east coordinate numbers, which took me to a completely wrong spot. However, with the cache being a **micro**, I thought well maybe it could be hidden there. The coordinates did lead me to a beacon, that I had seen micros hidden at before, but after checking for a bit and no cache, I double checked I typed the coordinates in correctly and noticed that I swapped the numbers. So with the numbers corrected, it looked like a much more logical spot for a cache, so I headed over to the correct spot. I found a likely beacon at GZ, but I searched and searched. I even crawled all over, but no cache...It was getting a bit late and with an early morning in my future, I had to call it a night. I did however, reach out to the very kind [COs](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=590a63f2-f374-4bfe-97d1-a4a965a81ac4&wid=a718180e-3aaa-4be9-8a3c-6b0373413e90&ds=2) who armed me with an extra hint.So with the hard leg work done last night, I decided to come back today in the daylight this time in order to have another look. This time it was much easier to spot the very cleverly camouflaged cache. I was so mad when I spotted it, as I swore I looked right where it was hidden. I even think I had my hand on the cache container last night. However, the camouflage was too clever and I needed the aid of daylight to help me find the cache today.A huge thanks goes to [GJMMelb](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=590a63f2-f374-4bfe-97d1-a4a965a81ac4&wid=a718180e-3aaa-4be9-8a3c-6b0373413e90&ds=2) for bringing me on this fun and peacefully night time trek as well as the extra help with finding this beautifully camouflaged cache. TFTC. **Cache Maintenance Status**As I mention in my log I am not sure if some of the reflectors are missing or if I just missed them, but there were a few gaps where I couldn't see a reflector for a bit. The cache container was beautiful and blended in so well and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was clean, but just a tiny bit moist. However, I could still easily sign the log. The log is now halfway full as I was the first signatory on the back side.

After dinner, we were talking about what we were going to do. I suggested this cache and to my surprise the family agreed! Yay.We brought Buddy (HQJYHJ) along and with the kids both holding torches they ran from reflector to reflector. It was good to get some exercise after being stuck behind a computer for most of the day .At one point we thought we saw a pair of reflectors off in the distance, only to realise as we got closer that it was a possum looking straight at us. We saw many possums on the way and also several birds sleeping in trees. After a bit of a search at GZ it was great to see a classic GJMMelb hide too This cache gets a from us.TFTC

Found it! I’ve been doing a fair bit of caching at night lately so I decided it was about time to find an actual night cache. After dinner with Mum, who lives nearby, Muggle Wen and I headed off on our evening adventure. We parked a bit further away from the starting coordinates but once there we easily spotted the first reflector. We were on our way! The reflectors were easily seen in our torchlight which made trail easy to follow. There was one reflector on the ground which I tied back into a tree. It was Muggle Wen who spotted the double reflectors while I was paying too much attention to a nearby structure. At the correct structure we found what was needed, did the calculations and off we went again. Arriving at GZ I guessed what was needed and set about looking for the cache. Searching in the torchlight took some time as every possible option needed to be checked. At the end of my search I was still empty handed and thought I would have to take more drastic action and then I spotted something out of place. Yay, I found it! Very nice camouflage! With the log signed and cache back in place, we headed back to the car and home. Thanks for this night cache, we had a great adventure. TFTC SL Favourite point added.

This was quite the adventure! The first part was easy enough - reflectors were quickly spotted and followed on a very pleasant night walk. Half way through the geowife was “sure” she spotted 2 reflectors 10cm apart… turned out to be two eyes of a possum sitting still as a statue up in a tree looking directly back at our torches… On we went.

After momentarily considering what the “nearby structure” with the coordinates was we settled in to search around… finding what we were after following a brief search… then it was on to the final stage.

Well… this is where it got tough… we looked all over the place, resorted to the hint (first one wasn’t much help), even trawled through past activity for clues… in the end we had to call… and just as well we did - I don’t think we were going to find it - too good - as the saying goes.

The whole family looked for a good 20 minutes - pushing, pulling, prodding - but even with direct instructions from the owner it still took a good 20 seconds to locate… definitely a favourite point from us. Thanks for the great cache!

We were on a 'night out' and were close enough to have a go at this one as well.
We made our way around with each reflector leading the way to the next. It was nice being out in the night air.
We got close to the end and struggled a bit with trying to work out what the numbers read but we thought our GZ looked right.
This is when our trouble started. We looked around the sides, under, even in the bushes and nothing was revealing itself. When our torches were starting to struggle, we considered a late night call when something was knocked and the cache revealed. Very sneaky and very clever.
Thanks GJMMelb for a terrific walk in the dark. A favourite point from us.

This one was a target tofmday. We attempted this cache a long while ago late at night, and really enjoyed our walk through the park. Made it to what we thought was the gz. Searched high low around and around and so many spiders and their webs. Too late to PAF, so left cold! Back in the area today, and found we miss read the coordinates, which was really easy to do as the we struggled a little in daylight. Made a quick find in the heat! Thanks for the fantastic night cache.

What an awesome journey and cache, most fun cache we've done so far! Super cool hiding spot!

Wow ??! A totally awesome cache I would really recommend doing it. With some help from GJMMelb I found it in the end. My favourite cache yet. Thank you so much.

We did a walk around and replaced or moved a few reflectors so they could be seen better Smile

Experience: Spent some time in this area today, and we have been loving getting some night caches done! Decided to come to this one which had us bounding in excitement! Until.... where'd the reflectors go?! Back to the last one, walking around, back to where we think, back to last one and so on... finally reached out to CO (who responded very quickly, Thank you) when suddenly we found it! Just had to go a bit further! Off we continued until we found the structure..we got what we needed and off to GZ. And this is where the challenge began! We looked high, low, in, on, under. Pulled, tugged, pushed, grabbed. Hmmmmmm...... well that looks a bit odd. YES! Cache finally in hand and log signed. Mission a success and we had an absolute blast doing it! Thank you!

Hide: Exceptionally well hidden! And not at all what we expected!

Cache Condition: Cache is in good condition with a dry log!

Third time's a charm! We originally attempted this one last year but a storm had knocked down the reflectors. Second attempt got us to the end of the trail on another night, but we didn't have any luck finding the cache.

Today we decided to head back at lunchtime (the park is not far from home at all) and immediately realised we had the wrong coordinates! A quick update and we quickly found the nicely constructed cache.

Thanks for the effort that went into this one, it got us back into night caches and happy to finally get the smiley! A favourite point from TeamJusar

As we were in the area checking on Freezing Games, we checked on the co-ord tags and cache. Both in place and in good order. We will check on the reflectors one evening some time soon.

Found by Omegaman1971

Out and about with my daughter clocking up some learner driving hours, after finding the best place to practice park we made our way to Gz for the second time. I had attempted this cache some time ago but had no luck in locating the prize, but after a few minutes of searching we soon had success and the log stamped.
Cheers GJMMelb for the cache, favourite point for sure.

This is our second attempt on this night cache. This time we were equipped with two more (and younger) pairs of eyes and with all reflectors back in place came quickly up to GZ. Here we struggled a bit but the owner was kind enough to help us out. What a great cache and a fav from me. Now we hope that the lockdown is lifted soon since the kids want to do more of these night caches.

What a nice cache by awesome owners! Came back after the last DNF and it was well worth it! Tracked to the cache quickly enough, but struggled at GZ. Fortunately, the kind owners helped us out, and the log was soon signed. A favourite!

First night cache for us in a long time, but similar to the previous log we were following the reflector trail and it just stopped with no further reflectors in sight ahead on multiple paths. Hopefully just out of practice and the recent storms haven't knocked off the reflectors!

21-Jun-21
Oh dear I wonder if the storm blew down reflectors and or the trees they were in? We will check up on it asap

18-Jun-21
Followed the reflectors, but then lost the track and failed to find it despite trying out various alternatives.

Fourth time lucky! Went back today with a friend and found it! Very cool and very clever.

11-Mar-21
Found the coordinates without too much trouble some time ago, but couldn't find the cache.
I revisited the GZ again today, and I was about to give up when I noticed something unusual.
Quite a sneaky little hiding spot.
Definitely worth a fav point.
Thanks for the adventure and the cache GJMMelb.

I found this cache today on my Blackburn Cache Browse. I was in the area on another cache find and decided to give this one a go, even though it was only 11:30AM and I was in no hurry. It took almost an hour to work my way though and to eventually find the very nice cache at the end (though it took a little spotting). Thanks from D B-A.

This month I am working on qualifying for the **Multicache Month Challenge Cache** and today I needed a "non Traditional cache" for the ** The Non-Traditional Calendar Challenge **... so I had a double reason to find a Multi today. I failed with two near to home this afternoon and this was gnawing at me... so with nothing compelling on TV I decided it was time to give another *Night cache* a try.

This was an interesting location to come to... over 40 years ago my then girlfriend (and now wife) lived backing onto this area when it was just horse paddocks... nothing like you see today. The reflectors were easy enough to spot thanks to a good torch... although the comment about 400 metres was a bit confusing. I took it as meaning from the start... which it's not. Anyway, I eventually found tags but had a little trouble reading them... my torch was a bit too powerful.

I got some numbers, plotted GZ and set off. On arrival I wasn't happy with the location... sure, there were places you could hide a cache but nothing that looked like the location of a *58 Favourite Point* cache. Back to the tags and check the numbers again... maybe I had misread the South coord... no, the alternative would have had me in someone's backyard. How about the East coord... hmm, perhaps it should have been something slightly different.

Off I went with the new coords and arrived at a much more satisfying location. All I had to do now was find the cache... something that had to be a bit clever and quite special. Flashing the torch around, I spotted what I was looking for... something a little different but not really out of place. Bingo! It was the cache.

Thanks **GJMMelb** for a clever, crafty cache... worth all the Favourite Points it has... and I will give it one more when I have found a few more caches as I have none to give away right now.

Found with fatfungi after two previous failed attempts. Very clever cache.

Well, this was fun. I like night caching, so this seemed to be a good thing to do.
I met Lynjoh at the starting coords, and we chatted as we followed the well marked trail. At one stage we got ourselves bamboozled by thinking too far ahead, but we got back on track and reached GZ shortly afterwards.
This is where we fell in a hole. We searched all over for quite some time, before we had to admit defeat and give the CO a call. Very quickly we had the log in hand, signed and returned to it's hiding place. A very clever hide, well worth a favourite point.
Thanks for the help GJMMelb, and for the adventure tonight.

Another night cache with Crustyvarmint. Soon after starting the trek we heard voices and found a group of muggles sitting on the grass enjoying the evening. We continued following the reflectors although we had a slight sidetrack before finding the digits for the final coordinates. So off again probably expecting a quick find ... but in the dark this proved to be a challenge. We seemed to exhaust all possible hiding locations so a call to the CO seemed to be in order. This quickly led to finding the well hidden cache. A nice adventure and thanks to GJMMelb for the challenge.

this park is a lot friendlier in the sunlight
no more lurking shadows, looming spectres in the inky black

this may be the quickest hamfish find of all time
contributing factors:
* daytime
* having pretty much already found the cache

thanks for the trek, melbies
love your work

16-Dec-19
We had attempted this previously but got rained out so came back today with our believed GZ. A lovely bright sunny day and the cache was quickly located. Glad to have finally completed this cache. Thanks for the stroll in the dark and for the cache.

16-Dec-19
I won't tell you how long it has taken us to complete this multi. We got oh so close when we originally attempted this but it rained quite a bit, was dark and cold, so we went home. We were driving past today and realised where we were. We checked and had our coords written in the notes, just hadn't put them in as corrected. Rectified that and headed off to find the cache nice and quickly and bone dry. Thanks for the cache.

26-Sep-19
In need of a multi and I couldn't resist tackling this NC to see what it had to offer. I was impressed with the smooth flow that only a well maintained night cache can provide. The ribbons lit up where needed and the tags were easy to find. I won't say anything about GZ for fear of giving away too much other than to say I like this CO's style, slightly devious but utterly fair. This cache is deserving of the 54 previous FPs and my only regret is not saving it for another GC promotion which requires highly favourited caches. I'll now add my contribution to the point pile and I'd award more than one if it were possible.

25-Aug-19
Well Carkisser said it all. Except the awesome fact that I had an umbrella. My feet were wet within 5 minutes, not to happy about that! Lucky JSando had his you beaut torch cos we only brought cheapo head torches. I fell blessed to have done great friends to do crazy geocaching stuff with.

24-Aug-19
JSando and carkisser caught up with Jaktembo for dinner at the nearby Japanese all you can eat. We had planned to do some caching so it was fortuitous that this cache was so close.
While we were eating, unbeknownst to us, the rains started. Donna noticed it as we were packing up to leave. I could swear that both Donna and James were out because of the rain. I used a very well known “lexism” and said “”you’re not made of sugar””. Lol. Erica and I were raring to go. We were so close. So we must do it.
After some discussion, we agreed to meet at the designated parking area.
We found the street/park lights made it difficult to spot some reflectors, but we bumbled through, chattering incessantly as we’ve not caught up properly for months. Before we knew it we were at the double reflectors. James went one side of the structure and Erica went the other. James found what he was looking for, but missed key info. Erica couldn’t find hers, but when she did, she found the key bit James missed but couldn’t read the rest properly. There was some double and triple checking, with rain dripping off us, before a consensus was reached. We headed off for the final, which Donna spotted immediately. We headed back to the cars. Of course, the rain had stopped now.
We then hatched a plan to meet for coffee at Blackburn Maccas to plan our next catch up.
A fun time for us, due to the company, and I’m giving a fave point for that reason. TFTC.

This was an awesome evening out with the family, thank you for taking the time to set up such an amazing night cache. Make sure you dont mix the S & E coordinates up, we got a bit lost doing this, but got there in the end Smile)

Had a great time with new friends wandering around in the nigh nothing sus about 14 people and a dog walking the trails is there? Thanks for the walk and a great hide. Thanks for the lemons Riddell but you for got the tequila.

Went as a group of about 15 and got there in the end and about to do another night cache.

15-Jun-19
I have had this one on my radar for some time but was not prepared to tackle a night cache alone. What luck, a post from Judith for a group attempt at this cache on a weekend I was visiting family at Forest Hill from my home in Colac. A group of 12 set off torches picking out the path to follow. After a pleasant, companionable walk the cache was found and the log book passed around before being safely returned. TFTC and adventure GJMelb.

15-Jun-19
This was our first group night cache, or any night cache in a long while, so it was great to meet up with old and new friends for a nice walk in the park. There was a bit of confusion near the end, but we were soon back on track and hunting for the cache at GZ. The clever camo revealed itself to one of the group and many names were added to the log and photos taken.

Thanks for the fun ??

15-Jun-19
Was surprised to see such a large group show up, but it does make hunting reflectors easier, although these reflectors are excellent and show up nicely (unlike one that we would attempt later in the night).

The only hiccup that we had is that people started searching too early when the came upon a structure, but thankfully someone was still shining the torch around and spotted more reflectors and the journey continued.

The co ordinates were gleefully gained and then it was off to find the cache, which Riddell did after a few of us (me included) had already scanned over the given area. Nice hide, well set up as always GJMMelb, a FAV point from me.

TFTC!

15-Jun-19
After a post from jascat on Facebook, a group of us met at the roadside. A large group, ended up being about 15 of us! We didn't have very much trouble following the reflectors, but we came upon what we thought was the structure because of the two reflectors close to each other, and searched for a bit but then someone spotted another reflector a bit further down the path, and then two again.
Everyone got into searching, and finally someone found it.

15-Jun-19
thanks for the cache Smile

15-Jun-19
Well, what a great night out.
15 people with flashlights, in a park, in the dark, kids as spotters, a dog, lots of chatter, a muggle local with dog and a tricky little hide that everybody looked straight at without seeing it.

*15 Jun 2019, Found @6:27 pm, Find # 2961.*

I came here after putting an invite on FB. I was expecting eight to turn up, but arrived to find fourteen and a four legged friend. A nice little walk around the park was enjoyed by all. The cache initially proved a little tricky to spot.

**Thanks to GJMMelb for placing this cache.**

After dropping my daughter at a nearby party, mum and I joined the team of new and familiar faces to make this find. A fun walk around the park chatting and exchanging stories and tips. Thank you

12-May-19
I have been meaning to do this night cache for a while but something had always gotten in the way of the plans. With a free night I decided to head out for a walk. I did like the reflective trail to follow (much easier than fire tacks) and there was never a point where I wondered if I wasn't going the right way. After obtaining the information needed for GZ I ended up having a fruitless search for about 15 minutes. I had assumed a cache style that wasn't it (and by the looks of things I wasn't the first either!). I did come across a frog at GZ which didn't seem to mind my searching. On the verge of giving up I spotted something. Great hide! Gets a FP for the effort and the fun night cache. TFTC

28-Mar-19
27/3 I've done this night walk before, but failed to find the cache. So last night I was back with the family to enjoy the walk and try some spotlighting - very few possums in this beautiful parkland which was a surprise. At GZ many of the same places were re-examined before Eureka! Another one of those - but I LOOKED there! I thought of that kind of hide! HOW did I MISS that?! - kind of moments. Very enjoyable Smile thanks for the cache

F(H)ound it! #3069 @10:00 PM

I am down from Queanbeyan NSW, visiting the out-laws for a week or so.
An after-dinner outing with Sister Outlaw and some of the Muggle family.

I really enjoyed this one. The paths are even, level and clear which makes for easy walking in the dark. The markers were mostly easy to find and well maintained. There was only one, determining which of two paths to take, which took a little time but this just added to the suspense. It turned out that the marker was hidden behind a branch.
We did a bit of wildlife spotlighting on the way and saw several possums.

We really loved the clever camo, deserving of a FP

Thanks for the cache GJMMelb

01-Jan-19
With friends over for the evening we decided to do a maintenance run on this cache. We walked the track and MMelb did some tree climbing to replace some reflectors and then checked out the cache hide - all good

04-Nov-18
This one was fun! It's taken me a long time to find this between trying to do it during the day (don't bother), having issues with GPS and the final coordinates and finding it finally yesterday but coming sans pen! Loved the challenge. TFTC!!

11-Sep-18
Dad and 14yo were out after dark, decided to try this night cache on a whim.

As with all of the GJMMelb caches, this proved a worthy and fun adventure. Key tool tonight was our trusty torch and we were grateful for the well-marked path.

Had a big struggle at the GZ and we looked all around the place before eventually discovering the well camouflaged container had been dislodged from its rightful place. Signed log and replaced.

A fun adventure and a favourite point coming! Tftc

I was passing by this way on the way back from working a bit south of here. I'd had final coordinates for this one for a couple of years now (most likely since the rowing drop-off mornings Surprised) and had even tried to find it on one or two occasions without any luck. Red Face I figured that I'd give it another shot today and once at GZ, I commenced at my usual starting location and began my 'methodical' search

Not long after that, I spotted something that I hadn't seen before and at long last, I was signing the log at 16:40. How easy was that? Why had I missed it those other times? Who knows but at least I've now got a smiley in the ledger and you guys have got another fave point. Big Grin

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks (at last) GJMMelb.

After my dnf a few weeks ago I came back today to have another look. After checking around for a few minutes I collected my thoughts and soon shoes the nicely hidden cache. How did I not see that sooner??? I must have had my hands all over it!! Thanks so much gjmmelb, great adventure, fun and hide. Tftc!

Had a lovely time walking around this park tonight, all going to plan until I hit GZ where I came up short. Searched for a good 30 mins, checking everything at least 3 times but no luck for me! Outsmarted tonight but I will be back to have another look sometime soon Smile Thanks for the fun and adventure!

What a cheeky cache! This cache was pretty tricky. It took me about 30 minutes to find but I eventually found it with the help of Mister Doctor! TFTC GJMMelb!

Teamed up with son_of_a_doctor for this one.

After making a start at Glow in the Dark Park a little while ago, but pulling out early due to some shady characters hanging around, we had steeled our courage to once again try another night cache together.

This was fun!

It was a beautiful night and, as daylight savings had just finished, we were ready to start at 7pm! The reflectors lead us nicely onwards past croaking frogs, bats, rustling trees and bright and easy to follow tracks.

Towards the end we spotted a pair of reflectors which were only one cm apart but started hunting for the final coordinates anyway. As we moved forward son_of_a_doctor spotted another reflector, and we realised the walk continued.

Soon, however, the real final reflector pair revealed themselves followed soon after by the final coordinates. Hurrah!

We continued on, spotting a brushy tail in a tree overhead. Soon we arrived at GZ. We couldn’t quite make the find after hunting around the area and almost grabbing a frog in the crook of a tree by mistake! A nudge from the CO encouraged us, and the clever hide was discovered.

This was a memorable cache, and if I could award favourite points it would certainly get one!

TFTC GJMMelb and for maintaining this cache for the past 6 years. It’s great to be able to have these micro adventures so close to home.

I went to find Freezing Games late enough in the day so that it would be dark enough for me to have a go at this one, my second-ever night cache. But not quite, so I went off to wash the car, then returned.
I didn't spot any reflectors from the starting point but I continued on anyway until I spotted my first one. Most of the time I couldn't see the next reflector but I would keep going until I reassuringly saw another one (I'll put it down to inexperience as the missing reflectors have only recently been replaced). I stumbled my way along and back-tracked a couple of times, until I saw the two reflectors 50cm apart - I did it!
Then I worked out the coords and headed off to GZ. No cache! I searched and searched but nothing. I stopped to check my phone when I heard footsteps - then someone walked past - who goes for a stroll through the park in the dark without a torch? I PAFed to find out what I was looking for, and with a little hint I found it - totally overlooked it as I was expecting a different type of hide.
Thank you!

Came back with the Geo kids on Sunday and we made the find very easy. Just didn’t have my night treasure finding goggles on last Wednesday.

Replaced quite a few missing reflectors. Co-ords and cache all good
Enjoy! Smile

I came. I got to the final co-ords. I failed!

We all went out for a walk with the aim to find this cache. The dog had a great time while we were looking for reflectors. TFTC.

I have wanted to complete this night cache for such a long time but for whatever reason I have not been over this way at night with time on my hands.
Today I convinced the whole family that it would be a great opportunity to have some family-time together and also to give the dog a decent walk. To top it off I had to sweeten the deal with the promise of a kebab.

When we got to the posted coordinates it was still too light so we did a lap of the area which brought us back at dusk. It took a few moments but we eventually found the first reflector. We continued along the track finding the reflectors. It became a competition as to who would find the most but all too soon we found the final stage which highlighted the GZ.

At the GZ we got so engrossed looking for the cache that we thought that we had lost the dog but after a bit of coaxing he revealed himself. This allowed us to continue with the hunt. Very soon I had the cache in hand and the log signed.

What a very enjoyable walk and hunt. TFTC.

Mrs Welder had taken 1Dgirl and Emeylo out for a girls night at the movies. So while the girls were away, the boys would play!
Whatever would we do?!
Cache, of course!
And conditions were perfect for night caching.

I had been aware of this listing for quite a while, but it always looked like a local one I should share with the Minis. So tonight, Dynamo and The Green Minion accompanied me on this trek. Or did I accompany them?! They were each equipped with their own torches and got excited each time they found a possum, or a spider, or the next reflector. The trail was very well constructed and easy to follow so the Minis soon had us at a key juncture. It took a moment for them to gather the required info - not so much because they didn't find it, but more because they failed to recognise it for what it was, in their search for something decidedly more 'cachey'.

With that hurdle crossed, we headed over to GZ and found a typically suitable location. I wanted the boys to have the glory of discovery so I stood back and watched their endeavours.
They first tried one area.
Then another.
And another!
They were beginning to feel a little disappointed and frustrated. Maybe it was muggled...
Naturally, I stepped up to search and end their torment. But I couldn't find it either!
Oh, hang... What's that?
Genius - that's what 'that' is!!
The boys were delighted by the illusion that had decieved them, and so was I!
Such a wonderful finale to a lovely, family friendly night cache.

We discovered a big orb spider web when leaving GZ, en route to the playground. The Minis always love having a late night play when they have the equipment all to themselves. We didn't stay too long though, for not only was it now midnight, but there was a gathering of loud anti social delinquents up to no good at the nearby school.
That's also when Mrs Welder and the girls rang to say they were finished at the movies, and to sing 'Happy Birthday' to one of us!
Yes, it was clearly time for us to go.

Thanks so much, GJMMelb. We really loved this cache. It was a lovely journey with a wonderful hide, well deserving of a favourite point.
We all enjoyed ourselves here. ??

After a small hiccup early where we had to use the CO's help(two sets of reflectors in a tree, but more than 50cm's apart), we were on our way again. This time, we were certain we were at the correct spot and yep, there were the co-odds. A short walk and we arrived at a similar structure and bang - there was the cache! Very fun night cache. Tftc and the assistance Smile

Thank you for this little night adventure. We couldn't find the second and maybe the third or forth reflector (either our torch wasn't strong enough or they were covered with leaves) so we just guessed the direction. Then it was easy. My 1st night cache and 3rd cache in AUS. Tftc

The cache was good. We went and looked at midnight , so was super quiet and could hear the frogs. The reflectors were good and the effort put into the cache made it a nice surprise when we found it Smile thank you

I'd been keeping my eye on this one since the CO revealed that GZ had been damaged. The existence of the cache had only come to my attention that same day! I do believe it was worth the wait. As is so often the case with me and nightcaches, it wasn't entirely dark when I first walked up to the starting coords. But it was dark enough to allow the beginning of the trail to be discerned. As with *Glow In the Dark Park* the reflectors were outrageously reflective and the situation only improved by the second as daylight finally fled. Things proceeded as foretold and the cache's coordinates, and then the cache itself, revealed themselves without too much anguish. The cache, as in the actual logbook receptacle, was very nicely done, I thought. A slick (and not so time-consuming) nightcache all in all! Thanks GJMMelb!

I started this one ages ago and for some reason never finished it. Then when I went to do that, it was off line. Now back on line I was able to resume and found the clever hide before the weathering set in. Nice to finally finish it.

Cache and co-ords replaced
It's a bit sad, as we couldn't do exactly the same hide but it's in the spirit of the previous hide. Currently it is very easy to find but over time it will weather and blend in better

New cache now in place, just need to replace co-ords at other new sructure

Oh no.....!!!!!
They have replaced structures taking our co-ords and actual cache with them
Very sad as this was one of our favourite hides and can't be replaced with the same style from what we could see.
Will check out possibilities in the daylight asap

I followed the reflector trail for quite a while - it wasn't always that clear (my torch wasn't great and it was quite light), but it was pretty obvious where it was going. But after crossing the creek, I found a couple of reflector locations and then nothing more. I went down all the trails from the last reflector but I could find nothing down any of them within any reasonable distance. So in the end I had to (reluctantly) give up.

Had a night stroll in the park with fleabag- and found this one. Thanks for the cache.

Whoos, forgot to disable this whilst we took it home to repair!!!
Anyway back in place now Smile

Out early with just enough darkness to follow the reflector trail. Missed a couple but eventually got to the required double reflectors and found the hard to read discs (well hard to read in darkness with poor eyesight anyway). Cache and container were found lying on the ground and contents were quite wet. Spent time drying out what we could then repacked everything and replaced container where it should have been. Owner may need to check it as it looks like some maintenance will be required. Thanks for a great journey, a favourite for us as well.

Found with Winniethebear. Had a nice walk around the park. Had some trouble finding the co-ords, but it was a pretty simple find really. The camo ended up being on the ground so a very simple find. probably would have had a little trouble finding as it looks to be a very good camo. TFTC.

We were catching up with family today and met up with Moosetash late this afternoon and was fortunate enough to have them with us as they had done the hard work with this hide and happily rode on their coat tails to this hide that they had been longing to finish for a while now. A clever little hide too! Very sneaky, thanks GJMMelb for the cache.

Well. What to say about this cache? We tried this one back when it first came out, found all the reflectors no worries, then got to GZ and couldn't turn up anything. Knowing it was supposed to be tricky, we left it, coz we were noobs back then. It went on the watchlist, and to my annoyance people kept finding it! We went back a few times, but still couldn't find it. Tonight we thought we'd try again, in the daylight! Still nothing was turned up, so I went back to try and find the coords. This is were we realised, all these years we'd had the wrong final coords! I rang the Moose and told him, and we met at the correct GZ. He's good at finding ones like this, so he was all over it (and now we're more experienced!). we went to sign the log.... no pen! So back to the car to grab one! Finally our name is in the log, and I can turn the yellow box in to a smilie! Thanks for the challenge and the story we now have!
