third times the charm. after 2 failed attempts and receiving some helpful intel from a previous finder, this well hidden cache has finally been found. thanks!
After 3 attempts and several hours spend looking and still no luck we decided to ask a fellow geocacher for some clues. This time with more knowledge we were able to make the find and it was definitely worth the struggle. This is definitely one of the best and most well hidden caches we have come across. Another favourite point from us. TFTC
Wow!!! We found it!!!!Manda and I returned after having no success with this one a few weeks back, this time armed with some advice from someone who had found it in the past and also needed to PAF.That said, it still took us fifteen minutes of searching to find the hiding spot and lots of uncertainty regarding on whether or not we were on the right track before we could finally sign the log and turn this one into a smiley face. Log sheet is a little waterlogged but still usable for now. TFTC - a great challenge.
Didnt have a whole lot of time to look around but will be back to invest some time in to this one
No luck with this one today but determined to come back for another go. Might need some clues!
Out looking for caches around Adelaide. No luck today - seems like this one is quite the challenge.Well be back some other time to try again.
This was from about 3 weeks ago: We took a search while we (me + J, L & T) were out on a Linear Park bike ride, but it was getting late in the day and we needed to head home. So not enough time spent searching GZ.
After attending a nearby event I decided to wander off to try and find this cache. I was joined by a couple of the boys, extra eyes, and the hunt began. After a reasonable amount of time I eventually made the find, that was the easy part, retrieving the log book was the next challenge. Once again patience paid off and we were all able to sign the log.A clever hide that definitely gets a from me.TFTC Team ScoobsterKeep smiling
Came over after the nearby event to turn a frown upside down Jolly0, sandelf and myself, assisted by OZGrumpy, eventually Jolly came up with the goods and after much twisty twisty the log book was extracted
Unfortunately this one alludes me today from port Lincoln so cant come back unfortunately Did reach out to a fellow cacher who had found it but couldnt remember what it was I did find a bloody big moth but was too frightened to touch that. Looked very real. I think it is real Thanks any way
To be honest .... Without PAF (local Geocacher) this find will not happen. Many thanks for an extra hint! But from the other side GPS is almost bang on but the obvious spot is not.I remember three similar hides in New Zealand but more "user friendly". "Blame" the pervious visitor, not a CO I did replace logbook here as the original was damaged and wet. Pictures attached. Adelaide day nr 5...City tour by public transport, o'bahn ride included. I'm logging this hide as my 10597 find. Many thanks Team Scoobster for a placement.
We spent too long looking and needed a PAF. It was well and truly hidden and we were glad of the help. Very clever. Thanks Team ScoobsterThe usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
Now this one took too long, with us having to use a PAF in the end, very well done this one, something you don't see everyday, especially these daysThis was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 01/03/2024 at 21:08:00 thanks to Team Scoobster for placing this cache for me to find. We have arrived in Adelaide for the MEGA Leapyear 2024.We were last time in Adelaide in 2004 so it was about time to refresh our memories and get couple of more caches. This was one of them. We had to go twice to find it finally! Awesome hide, but I ran out of fav points.Tftc Team Scoobster
On the way home from the Barossa series we stopped by a few selected caches. All caches were stamped with team Tassie which included Stainless steel rat goosenegg Tassie trekkers and myself. Thank you for the cache
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. It's Leap Day which is a lot more exciting than Christmas! And we are finding a whole variety of caches today. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Team Scoobster
Leap DayThis is the reason SQUIRM are in Adelaide Today is all about types, sizes, the odd D/T and anything else we step over (read detour 30 minutes to) when someone says theres a . just around the corner oh yeah, and The Great Leap Forward Mega and Side EventThis took a long time and a PAF to find a well constructed hideThanks Team Scoobster ??
The Blue Bolter is a sub-variety of cabbage which is grown in the Colyford and Hapley areas of the Sto Plains. It is the complete opposite of the aggressive and pugnacious Burley Bolter in that this is an exceedingly shy and retiring vegetable that will run and hide if it perceives a threat.
The day has finally come, its Leap Day!! Team SQUIRM are running around town in Staceys mom playing Leap Day Bingo trying to get as much as we can on our lists. That was very tricky, we needed a PAF, I dont think we would have found it otherwise. Very well constructedTftc Team ScoobsterFind #5685
Happy Leap Day 2024The SQUIRM team has travelled from Brisbane for the MEGA. We are here for a week and a bit of Fun, Fringe and caching.I got to have a sleep-in today instead of getting up at the usual 5.15amn.Now we are all back in Stacey's Mum and ready for a day of caching. Look out Adelaide Took the whole team a lot of searching to find this one. Luckily I know my role and headed back to Stacey's Mum to cool her down
Day #6 Leaping Forward AdventuresI made it to Adelaide, finally! Today I teamed up with Posums to tick off some of his missing LGAs and find some local caches.Gary had better run because if I catch up with him ??.Posums and I began the search and came up with nothing. Our gps wanted us to play with bees in stumps, but we avoided that. We searched and searched and searched. No luck. We called in a PAF. Still no luck. We kept searching and searching before we found the very well concealed cache.Unfortunately it was not replaced as intended so the turn turn turn turn log part was more just log. Posums replaced it as it had been intended.A rather devil of a hide and near impossible to find without help. Thanks Team Scoobster for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis, Kingscote and Im now in Adelaide for a week.Well it is the start of Mega week for me and lets see how I go.I met up with Roaming Howie for the day again (he must be a sucker for punishment) and the main target for the day is LGAs for me and anything else on his list.Just touring the suburbs as we go.We saw all of the favourite points so we had to come past to check this one out.We found somewhere to park the GeoRanger and off we went in search of this one.Searched in a lot of spots and even found the bees that seemed very content at the moment.I will admit that we would not have found this one with out a big hint.I placed the cache back how it should have been as it was already 1/2 open for us.We added our names to the log and now to get to the next one and the next one and the next one.Another fav to add to your tally for this very frustrating cache. Thanks Team Scoobster TFTC.
Great team DeafPVC Whoo whoo we didnt give up to find it Thank you Vote for fave
Out for a long stroll along the linear park. And since I was walking right by this one, I thought I would give it a third try. And as they say, the third try is the charm. This is a great hide. Not just because of the frustration, but because its a great hide. Thanks to all who sent me Hints, as I likely wouldnt have found it without them.TFTC. And a point has been earned.
I am another one to add to the list of DNF's. Saw a couple of possibilities but came up blank. Maybe another time
Didnt find it! Failed on the first attempt like many others before! Found a the beee and searched high and low but no find today. TFTC!
On a walk from Windsor Gardens to the CBD. Stopped here again after receiving information that hopefully will allow me to find the container.Unfortunately, it was not to be. But Ill probably be back. But I did see a koala not far away, so Ive got that going for me.
I DNFd this cache 6 days ago, and as things turned out today when I found it, I was a mere 6 inches from it last time Today I returned armed with a little knowledge from a previous finder and a homemade TOTT to help me detect the cache. After a couple of minutes Im starting to doubt myself and this blimmn cache then I returned to a likely area that Id searched earlier in the week. Bingo, and the realisation thats I was mere inches away from finding previously..thems the breaks Log retrieved and stamped.awarding yet another favourite point cos even though it was a little frustrating, it is a clever hideTFTC
On way home and thought that I give this another go at finding it. Been here before without success. Crazy how you can miss it one day and the next walk right up to it. First place I looked.Nice hide, very sneaky. Love the incognito hide of this one.TFTC SL
Well here I am, the 65th DNF logged against this cache (a badge of honour )Spent about 30 minutes here with no idea what the hide might be, other than the 110 FPs it had which is a clear indication its a beaut Ill be back another dayTFTC
Was hoping to make this my 100th find, sadly was a DNF today. Not far from home so I will return.
Taking a stroll along the river Torrens and trying to find a few geocaches along the way.I spent maybe 10 minutes searching here, and then I decided to move on. I may be back, you never know.I did find the bees, so at least I have some idea of where to not search if Im back.TFTC!
Out to complete the Sept challenge.
Needed to PAF, would never have found otherwise. Very sneaky hide. TFTC

Came back today with a very helpful hint from a PAF and found quite quickly this time
Then did as the hint said!!
Terrific hide!! TFTC!!

I had look for this a few years back and came up empty handed. Today was back in the area so walked around in circles for ten minutes before doing the obligatory turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, FIND, SIGN (log a little damp was still able to stamp it) turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn, turn. TFTC
Came today from across town to try and find this well liked cache. When I came to the area I could see why there are so many DNF’s.
I got on my hands and knees for about 90 minutes scraping my way through the bushes but lucked out.
I may come again in the future to redeem myself.

Happy to turn this blue sad face around, after a few previous attempts. Worth another look as has been found by a few people recently.
Woohoo, we have finally found our nemesis Adelaide cache!! We first looked for this cache back in 2018 when we were staying at Windsor Gardens, to no avail and had PAF’d a couple of people but they unfortunately both didn’t answer their phones and didn’t get back to us until we were on the way home to Melbourne the next day. They did however confirm our suspicions of part of the hide. The next year we were staying close-ish again and had another go but only had 10 mins to look as we were on the way to a family function. Roll on 2020 and 2021 and we couldn’t even cross the border! This cache was certainly outside our 5km zone lolol. Last year we were staying at Semaphore and just didn’t get this far east. This year staying in Kilburn and having a couple of full days free for caching this one was most definitely again on the list. We had this cache on watch list so we knew it had been found recently so we thought that may help and as it turned it it really did. Basically we followed the gps and spotted the expected item straight away. So then it was turn turn turn turn and turn turn turn turn, sign, replace, turn turn, turn, turn and turn turn turn turn! Woohooooooo!!!!!! What an extremely cool design!!!
So GMelb’s name is is Gary (one R) so I got him to run (on the spot) so we can finally say Gary Ran to Run Garry Run - Photo attached with background blanked out so the position isn’t given away.

Bloody hell. That was a pest of a hide haha tftc. Beware behive nearby and its far from it so stay safe
I have been back here so many times and each time I’ve left sad faced and empty handed.
I’ve had this cache on my watch list while I’ve been a bit unwell and noticed it had been found recently.
I took my chance this weekend and managed to make this incredible find.
No wonder I was struggling, what an awesome and amazing hide, deserving of the fav point I’m giving!
I found, signed and returned with all the turn turn turns that feel like a very bad thing to be doing in the beginning.
Tftc and the help offered along the way
Yay finally a smiley

Hubby and I looked for this one quite a few years ago, but we were unsuccessful.
We tried again yesterday, after seeing that the cache was recently found, but again, we came away empty handed.
At one point, we thought we had it and we tried and tried but it was to no avail.
I spent all last night thinking about this cache, read a few Activity Logs and was certain that we had actually found it.
We went back this morning and confirmed our initial suspicion and added our names to the log!
This is absolutely the trickiest cache that we have ever encountered but we loved the challenge TFTC

Out caching in the inner northeast this afternoon, picking up odd ones left behind, and targeting a nemesis that has been haunting me for some time. I was just 500m away on the other side of the river, but Maps said it was going to take 11minutes to drive all the way around here, which I did. I parked up and visited GZ. I have been here 2 prior times, it is very familiar.
I am back here today as I had some intel from Sir Trogg, who indeed confirmed the cache was present and findable. So I arrived with new interest and attention, and with some sneaky inside knowledge the item was found. Needless to say, that was just the beginning. My watch indicated I washed my hands fully at least 5 times during the visit. Turn Turn Turn. I did sign it, and took a picture to keep some memories. Turn Turn Turn, and away I went. Pretty pleased this one is now a smiley on my map, eliminating the frowny that must have been there for over three years.
Thanks for the cache Team Scoobster, great condition for the location, well done, love your work. Find #8675 at 5.09pm FP4U (and Sir Trogg for being such a kind gentleman).

Too tricky for me today. Had thought I had found the cleverest camo ever, but a gentle tap with my pen suggested this one was very much alive! I will be back.
Looked for what seemed like forever.. didn’t find the cache unfortunately but did find what was almost my dinner, nah just kidding it was to fluffy for my liking.
Will certainly be back after doing some research.
Tftc and better luck next time for me

Had a good look, turning, turning turning. Bees, ants, a quilt cover on the ground. Not sure if it has survived this winters storms and rain. Great spot.
Never really stood much of a chance here. Limited time, ages since it's last been found and really wet and long grass. Maybe next time.
Found It!
That is an evil hide. I think it's probably easier to get Garry to run than it is to find this cache...

We spent 6hours trying to find it and no luck but we must say thank you to Scoobster for helping us. PS best Camo ever this is gonna get a favourite point
Replaced the log book today, please try and make sure the thread is not crossed when replacing the cache as water will get in if not tightened correctly.
Thanks for the cache found with Webberg - 6th time lucky!!’ This has been my nemesis cache, for a while, so glad to finally have the smiley on this one! As much as I have been frustrated, this is an amazing cache well deserved favourite point!! This is a perfect example of a love/hate relationship, glad to finally catch Gary. Thanks for the assistance at Geoventure 2020!!
After a small hint at GeoVenture Millicent and 5 DNFs over the last 2 and a half years, we finally found this one. Found with conardel. Thanks for making such a great cache and although it was incredibly frustrating at times we had a great time searching. Looking forward to finding more of your caches.
Slightly waterlogged but cache is in good condition overall. We didn’t have our full kit with us today so we could only find a shopping docket to fill it sorry!
Must be one hell of a hide for a 2 star, either that or om blind. Maybe next time. GOOD HIDING!!!
Was hoping to check out the camo... But no luck today. Maybe the seasons add a degree of difficulty?
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

Not sure why this was disabled but it is all well and safe.
When is 2 DNF cause for disabling a cache, you can clearly see it is hard to find and gets lots of DNF's.

Visiting Adelaide from Sydney. Garry is the front half of our geocaching handle, Gaztek. How could we not come search for this challenging cache? Mrs Gaztek came across the bee hive early in the search and then nothing else turned up for a little while. So we turned methodical and did some bushcare type activity. It was the sound that gave it away. We expect that the less often this is found, the harder it gets to find. Anyway Mr G turned, turned, turned as directed. Mrs G signed as directed. We found that it was slightly more challenging to nrut, nrut, nrut but we got there in the end. We admired the planning that went into the construction and installation of this container not to mention the intention of putting one on a FTF hound. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Sadly this one is a dnf today, been here a few times with no luck. Will come back in a few months and try again
It’s a fun one! Keep trying! We used a TOTT to help, a fallen stick, to help find. Look at the hint in the description - it’ll help a lot! TFTC
100th favourite point added.
I tried to find this cache quite some time ago but no luck was had, back today work a previous finder and finding made the find here, this is probably more than a D2 but still i love your work.
With my early birds #13 event this morning a discussion was made around getting some of the TOTT caches with Davidwazza and with the assistance Brad&Janet. I soon left them and went on my way to clean up the rest of the caches requiring the new TOTT in town and the ladder made it out once.
All up 21 caches for the morning.
Thanks for the cache

Still no luck, and brought another person along albeit another inexperienced geocacher.
We actually tried twice in the last 24 hours to find this one. We are still novices at geocaching and haven’t looked for a bison tube before so I think that is a contributor. We did find the bee hive however which the kids loved. Due to it being mid-winter they were pretty quiet however and non-threatening. Will try again sometime given how popular it is.
Replaced log book as it was wet, replaced the bit the log book is in as a rubber seal was missing so water could get in.
Back again today for another turn. What we thought might have been it we really gave the once, twice, thrice over, but could not turn up anything. Only two days left at Windsor Grove....Team Scoobster you are too good for us.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Back from Rapid Bay after two months on KI. Arrived the big smoke today, and decided to do a few urban caches. Run Gary Run sort of fitted the bill, but despite walking around in circles, we were unable to find the hide. BUT, since returning to the van and reading more logs, I think tomorrow or the next day mat englighten us.. Will return.

No luck. Found the bee hive that everyone’s taking about though. I’ll ‘bee’ back. Can’t miss out on a 99 favourite cache.
A nearby bee hive should not be grounds for a cache to be archived.
Just take proper precautions and care to avoid the hazard.
It sounds like the cache is still there and just hidden away.

Checked on the cache Sunday 13th October 2019, the cache is fine.
Went looking for the bee hive and found the tree trunk the bee's are in about 10 meters from GZ so when doing the cache please do not venture to close to the hive.

I needed a few finds today to try to fill my cache type calendar day grid, but a traditional cache wasn't one of them. However given the amount of chatter on this one in the recent few days, I thought I would visit the area and get this one out of the way, converting my DNF I had on this one more than a year ago, to a find today. I thought this one would be reasonably quick (note the word thought)...
I turned up at GZ and was encouraged by the lack of long grass and growth that was here during my last visit. I had a tip from a previous finder to what I should focus on, and even another person had mentioned a further tip. Good coordinates they said - trust the GPS; Within 1-2 m! So I went to GZ, and started looking. I searched high and searched low. This one is an evil one? So I checked those spiky bushes nearby. And I checked deep. I thought I saw it and buried my body in well, covering my hands in splinters, only to discover it was just a simple birds nest with actual eggs. Nearby, a few small birds (sparrows?) must have thought I was raiding their nest, and did what they could to voice their outrage at me.
I then took another approach. I tried finding the bees/wasp nest, and when I did find it (they are in a log hollow, not a hanging hive), I stepped out 10 steps (for approximately 10 m) to give me a search radius, and checked that against GZ. So I narrowed down the search area, but still nothing. 25 min passed, and I was starting to admit defeat, so I made a PAF. I consulted with the CO, and a few photographs were passed. I resumed searching, and still another 10-15 min passed whilst I was searching in more detail through the terrain and foliage. The COs felt some sympathy towards my lack of success, and offered to come down and help show me the hide. I continued to search, and as it always happens, I made the find just as the COs were a few minutes away by vehicle. Once I found the hide, it didn't take long to retrieve the logbook.
A difficulty 2 rating?! I would definitely recommend a higher difficulty to this one, given the somewhat small red herrings provided through the geocache's description and hint? It was definitely a great hide, and can now fully appreciate the number of Favourite Points. For the amount of effort and the COs' willingness to assist my look, a Favourite Point from me. However, I do think there is an opportunity to improve this one, whether it is by the acknowledgment of the finding difficulty, or a few more hints to focus looking. Glad to have this one off my DNF list, cheers Team Scoobster. Nice to see a cache honouring Honeysucker, who we had just met on our travels to NT in the last month.
