It was souvenir day today, so I needed to grab at least one cache. The geoson was going iceskating, so I dropped him and then had 2 hours free to cache.
In a previous life I worked for the railways - I was interested to see what this wagon looked like. I agree that it has seen better days.
The log is nearly full. Could the next cacher bring another.

Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.
Thanks firnsy for placing this cache.

The last cache of the day before it got really dark and rained again. Fortunately for us it was a quick find.
An interesting feature - lovely walk, close to the caravan park that we were staying at. TFTC
Nice easy walk from Woodman Point holiday park. Easy for kids to find. TFTC!
Took Isquba 3 attempts in the same spot before he got it just right.

Took the geokids, but couldn't find even after a good ten minute search. Maybe next time, TFTC anyway!
Cache was not where it should be and I couldn't find, so I'm not sure what recent finders have been finding. There is a new cache in the central location. where the old one should have been ... if you find the one with full log, you are welcome to keep it, but not to claim a valid find unless you find the one with the new log.
After 3 quick finds earlier in the day I headed here with high expectations, fading light, regular muggles and no torch stymied me and after 45 minutes I had to walk away and get to the city for dinner.
I will return soon and try again to find this elusive little cache.

Very clever...should have checked the hint first..haha..kids loved it though...Thankyou (didn't sign as we forgot our tweezers)
Seeing so much today with Acachea just loved discovering more about this beautiful state
Geofellow is something of a history buff, so this was a big favourite of the day for him. While we both had grand visions of a creaky old train carriage when we saw the cache name, the actual thing was pretty good too. Certainly interesting to see how well the wood and metal have withstood time, and a good search area for a nano with lots of possible hidey holes.
Good Friday and a beautiful day to be outside and caching. Decided to tackle the various caches around Woodman Point and had a very successful and enjoyable day. It was great to see lots of people enjoying the ocean and the great facilities in the parks. It was also interesting to lean something of the history of the area, especially sand pumping and the ammunition bunkers and see the extensive infrastructure that supported this.
The wagon is definitely showing the ravages of time. weather & people however the cache was snug & secure.
Thanks for the cache firnsy [^] - all was good & dry
This was cache # 12 of 14 today for a total cache count of 2611.

Megawat60 and I had a very enjoyable day at Woodman Point today. The seabreeze was more than a breeze, but it kept the temp down and the flies away!
All together, 16 finds, no DNF's, 3 DNS (Did Not Search as the fence was a bit high for us...)
My first reaction on seeing this relic was "oh no, not a nano", but I was lucky to make the find, without even knowing there was a hint!
TFTC firnsy!

TFTC firnsy!
We had this planned for a few weeks and today was the day, nice strong wind to keep the flies away and add extra leg power to push the bikes forward.
This was the tenth find of Woodman Point caches and a little panicked at a nano in here, especially if it's that clever camoing Mr Firnsy is known for. As she mentioned we hadn't even looked at the hints and I was happy to hear the words "found it".
Again I think this would be better in another location!!
Thanks Firnsy for this smiley.

Doing a run down stock road to find what I need to, to clear the map and get 30 for the day as it's the last day in November and I need 30 more for a 400 find month TFTH Firnsy
TFTC.13.50. From Perth to Melbourne is our last vacation journey in Australia, along this route, we look for caches. Greetings from the Netherlands
Find #: 3191
Date: Fri 17 Oct 2014
Time: 10 52 AM
We are staying at a van/cabin park in Coogee Beach, south of Fremantle.
This morning we went for a walk south of the park in a very cache rich area.
Along the way we found 16 caches of which this was the 13th.
An excellent hint here led to an instafind, which was great news here, as finding a nano in all that looked daunting.
Thanks for placing this cache firnsy

Mozzies destroyed us so left this one. Hopefully can find it. Wagon was an easy find at least
On my Round Aussie Trip, travelling in Perth area, with Brother Colin, my son who flew in from Brisbane for 5 days, and IolantheK, who flew in to drive the Nullabor with me. we found your cache. We enjoyed our beach walk. clever hide. TFTC
Day 3 of my trip to Perth and surrounds to catch up with my Mum, triciac2.
But we had another friend arriving today, IolantheK.
I was dropped at the airport, hire car collected and off IolantheK and myself headed to catch up with Mum closer to the coast. [^]
We were staying at the nearby caravan park with a couple of hours before the sun set. So we went for a walk around a few of the nearby caches.
With 3 people looking this one took way too long to find. How did we NOT see that earlier.
Thanks for the cache.

I arrived in Perth today from Brisbane to meet up with Triciac2, because on Tuesday we are taking a 3 week driving tour to Adelaide But first we have 3 days here with her son Brother Colin for some caching. We have got ourselves settled into the nearby caravan park for 2 nights, so time to take a walk around the area
Mmmm, these hides can take forever to search We all got in and searched but it was taking a looooong time. Thankfully BC came up with the prize. TFTC, firnsy.

Finally decided it was time to mark Woodman Point with a few smilies. I parked nearby Specimen at around 4.30pm and made my way on foot around the area. I really enjoyed the walk here today. I took a few minutes to search the area and resorted to the hint. Found it instantly once I had read the hint. TFTC firnsy.
We thought this one would be much bigger. The wagon not the cache! It's always nice to have a hint when looking for a nano in the bush. Straightforward find.

Headed out today with Jinta29 and Welsy21 to grab a few caches before the Event meeting.
We decided to clean up our smilies around Woodman point as we each had a varying level of completenes..
We parked up at the first specimen and went for a wander from here.
This one took us a bit longer but it was Jinta who found the prize.

Came out this way again after work, nice area to wander around, interesting too. Found after a short search. SL TFTH
Easy find after reading the hint, decided to that first as the light was fading and this one was on the way back to the car. Thanks for the cache.
What a beautiful old price of history. I thought we could be there for ages looking for a magnetic nano. We looked at plenty of potential camo cache. Soon after those ideas were ruled out the cache was in hand. TFTC TNLN SL
