After a long day, I decided to make a quick detour on my way home to find this drive-by cache. It was a smooth and easy find, just as described in the cache listing. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache container was in excellent condition. I signed the logbook and left a small trinket behind. It's always a pleasure to discover these hidden treasures along the way. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this one. It added a bit of adventure to my commute home!
Passing through Kilkevan and Gayndah with Dora the Explorer! We decided to break the trip by grabbing some caches along the way. All the caches except one were quick and easy finds. TFTC
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Sweet Sour [^]
Heading for Gayndah and starting caching at Kilkivan. Don't normally do drive by caching. It is just not my thing. I don't mind if they are well spaced. Many of these were much more difficult than the DT ratings suggested. I suspect placed in the dry years while now it is waist high grass in most places.
Today, it stormed , it showered, and at times, it was flaming hot sun. Sometime at the more time-consuming caches, it was all of that.
I enjoyed this one. Favourite point here.

Another day in Kilkivan. We were going to have an easier day but as usual, it didn't work out that way. We changed plans along the way which was a bonus and headed towards Tansey. Then we decided to drive a loop and headed off to Goomeri. Having no lunch with us we stopped in Goomeri to see what we could find. A lovely older small town with some amazing old buildings and a fantastic bakery. Great coffee, but the pies are up there with Mataranka pies. Excellent. We then headed out to Kinbombi Creek Gorge and Falls another unexpected find. We only headed out because there were caches there, but what a bonus. Well worth the diversion.
We then returned to camp a Kilkivan.
Lots of really good sized caches in good condition.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sweet-Sour.

I’ve come up here to try and qualify for a crazy Challenge Cache in Cunnamulla… Forward planning, I’m driving L’DeVine, so hopefully no busted tyres today…
Having turned left at Tansey I’m now heading towards Kilkivan… Looking for the easier access I made this much harder than it need to be… well that and avoiding the fresh roadkill in the grass…
Once at GZ it was a fairly quick find… tftc… I followed the game trails and made it out much easier… tftc…

Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
After staying the night in Goomeri we headed out next day to continue exploring the Goomeri and Kilkivan areas. Although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
After a walk up Boat Mountain it was time to hop back in the car for some more driving. Stopped in here on the way past. Definitely an adventure getting to this one, wading through the long grass up to GZ. Cache found safe and well and picked up the TB inside. Logbook stamped with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
02/07/21 Staying in Free Camp sites with Caravan and seeing the sights and grabbing some caches. I am on holidays from Mackay. Sunny at the moment but rain still hanging around. Returned cache to its location all good. TFTC SL
Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log.JABs.
Our 3rd trip out this way in as many weeks, another 4 days for this run.
Why do country COs place their caches so FAR APART! [?]
Camping at Kinbombi Falls free camping for the first couple of nights, a really great spot!
#24 of 26 smilies today.
Well, that was SOOO much fun!
Grass over my head, I almost fell over the edge.
A quick find once at GZ.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
On my way back to the Geo-Beast I decided to take a shortcut ... ended up slipping & my right heel sought refuge in my nether regions, bent up backwards as I slid down to the roadside.
All good, to the disappointment of some ... I survived without even a scratch.
Looking back at the location of my 'slide' I would guesstimate it to be about 8 to 10 feet high. LOL ...
The things we do!
TFTC Sweet-Sour
Another FP must have dropped out of my pocket as I slid down the steep embankment!
Oh well, no time to look for it now.

Hi there Sweet-Sour.
We found your cache **"Coast Range"** today. (This makes our find count 25531).
Today we decided to do a round trip Goomeri - Kilkivan - Tansy - Goomeri. We got almost all the way around before the heat and long grass sapped our energy. (It looks like we will have to return tomorrow to fully complete the circuit).
We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, and our tally today was 32 caches & 0 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event. This is my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, ok. Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.
At the event I teamed up with Willis007 and Ms maddy (who drove) to spend the afternoon collecting a few caches and a few first to finds. Armed with a list and some new coordinates we set off for the afternoon of caching. We had a plan of attack in mind and it turned out to be a good afternoon of caching with a variety of cache sizes, hides and ratings; thank you to the CO’s for the placements of these. Sorry for the generic post for this lot but we did approximately 90 caches around the area.
There were no DNF’s and all caches were found in good order and in close proximity to the given coordinates and or hints. I enjoyed today's caching, thank you.

In Kilkivan for the New Year event, a great opportunity to catch up with caching buddies and meet some new faces.
After setting up at the showgrounds and enjoying a morning full of caching, after a quick lunch break, we headed out again to keep finding newly published caches along with some tried and true oldies.
A great day spent out and about, enjoying the beautiful country side.
The cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks Sweet-Sour for the cache.

After heading down the range,
I turned around and headed back up
Why ??
To find this cache of course
Hopping out of the geomobile,
I could see that this cache was going to be a 'fun' fund [:o]
Anyone got a machette ?? [:o)]
Maybe this is where the 'Fukarwi Tribe' live ??
The "May require wading" attribute might need adding to this cache !!
I waded me way through the head high grass,
up the hill to the top.
A bit of bouncing around the rocks,
and there was the cache
Heading back to the geomobile,
I found a trail through the long grass.
Good luck finding it from the road though
It starts where the parking spot narrows to the east.
A fun find for sure [^]

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache Sweet-Sour
I found this cache on my Xmas 2019 trip to Queensland however it didn't log automatically from my GPS when I synced it so I am logging it this way.
Thanks for a great caching experiance.
Logged as "Moneydork" before I changed to my new geocaching name "Triggerfish".

Geocaching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, my best friend, Moneydork and Oddiewan's sons BitternA4 and occassionally Flash_Cat (he bowed out about halfway, but I didn't mark where we took him back to camp) Oddiewan was on a mission and achieved his 400th and 500th finds on this caching trip. I was happy just to see his excitement of reaching his next milestone.

The route to this find is not as bad as it looks. Within the tall grass there are some pathways to follow and they quickly lead you to GZ. Found a small animal skull on this path.
TFTC. Day 2 of our trip away from the House sit at Bundaberg, exploring the Goomeri/Kilkivan area. The plan today Wes to do a loop through Tansey to Kilkivan and then return via the Wide Bay Highway, a triangle shape. A great day 44 attempted and only 1 dnf. I suspect that we were getting tired and there were muggles camped close by. That’s our excuse. All caches were relatively straightforward finds and unless noted all in good order. Thanks to the COs for adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Today we are starting the day meeting up with some friends to ride the Gympie mountain bike trails and after pick up some local geocaches so we are heading out to the Tansey Road to have a look at the caches put out for the New Years Event. This road was so quiet before the range section was sealed but now we found the traffic made discreet logging a challenge. Thanks Sweet-Sour
Out and about on this fine sunny day grabbing some very nice caches whilst with friends Liz and Bruce. Many thanks for all the great placements!
We, being Goblindust and ourselves headed over to the New year day event at Kilkivan. It was a good catch up and there was the bonus of plenty of new caches to find. Day 2: another early start, heading South from Waverley Creek rest area reaching Rockhampton then heading inland in a big loop via Eidsvold and Gayndah before reaching Gympie then back home in Brisbane late in the arvo.

I am traveling a very zigzag route to QOGM in Barcaldine. I have been unwell, so delayed the start of my trip by several days. Yesterday, I arrived in Gympie and spent the night there. Today, I am setting off for Eidsvold. I parked the geomobile and then had second thoughts about going through the long grass....it was taller than I am. then I spotted what might be a track. I followed it, brushing the grass away as I went. Before long, I was at GZ. There, I quickly located the cache and added my name to the log. Back through the see of grass to the geomobile and I was on my way again. TFTC
A quick find in good condition, while headed back to Canberra from Rockhampton. There's a fearsome storm going in the distance with an awesome light show. On seeing one particularly impressive strike I almost changed my mind about coming up here, but you only live once, so.... The thunder is a constant rumble and the drops are starting to fall.
After a quick look around in the direction the compass pointed I quickly reassessed (it told me go over the cliffe) and looked at the most obvious places. And there it was. Tftc

T-Tech and I travelled from Brisbane to Gayndah for his work today, and on our way home this afternoon we grabbed a few caches.
We'd had quite a few heavy downpours by the time we reached this one, and there was still some drizzle, so T-Tech declined to join me on the search, although he did allow me to borrow his umbrella A bit of a stagger up the hill fighting the umbrella in the wind, but thankfully the cache was a quick find. On my way out to Wuruma Dam to check out the camping prospects for a couple of days R & R. forget it, chock a block with grey nomads, was hopping that they had all gone home, forgot that they are still having crap weather south of the border.
On the way into Eidsvold for a couple of days R & R.
While out here decided to do a little house keeping. The cache is in remarkable condition, considering I haven't seen it for a couple of years.
I must say thankyou to all the cachers that have found it and left it in such pristine condition.
Thankyou one and all [^] [^]

Would be a lovelier view if it were green. Hasn't had a fire, so the bushbashing was a litle difficult in open sandals for Austrees. Called in here on a week's trip in the area.

One of my favourites, what an absolutely beautiful view, well hidden and hard to leave the place due to the view..... left an item.... my fave by far so far, GREAT CACHE!!!
Another stop off on our trip back to the Sunshine Coast, a dash up the hill for the view then we searched for the cache, sighted the rock that needed to be moved to expose the cache container, after that the cache was opened and logbook signed 2:26 PM. All replaced an back to the geomobile for a thirst quenching drink.

This is a lovely spot, and the views are stunning. Thanks for bringing us up here. We used to drive this road in the good ole days before it was sealed - what a challenge that was; now it seems like a super highway compared to the old road. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and "The Princess".

Only one rock needs to be moved !! OK with 3m accuracy on the GPS I reckoned this one would be a piece of cake. Well after lifting every rock within reason around GZ it was time to widen the search and 8m from our GZ we finally hit paydirt.

The grass was very long so it took a while to work out which way to tackle this one. Great views. Thanks.
Quick find at 1130 after a short walk. Driving along and knew I was close so parked well off the road in a safe shady spot. Did not take long to find a nice safe easy route up to the top. Grass is very high but not thick pretty sparse actually with trces of the old road underneath. try to find the old dirt road. Nice view all around. Whilst I was up there I counted 4 trucks 6 cars and vans and two ordinary cars going either way but I was not seen. TNLNSL excpt for two trackables left. TFTC sweet - sour
Yah!!! No 25 FTF @11.48 am. What a great view of the range of mountains from GZ. When I last passed along this road it was a dirt road over this mountain, now it is bitumen. When we arrived we wandered up to GZ through grass as tall as I am, so that when anyone looking down from above, would just see the grass waving as we moved through. Quick find by geopartner after pointing to where I believed the cache to be. TFTC Signed the blank log and took the FTF disc. Thanks sweet-sour for a great view and cache.
