#5551. I have flown back up to Auckland for several days to present a talk. Since I have come this far I have added some annual leave to the trip and hired a car so I can grab some geocaches. Decided today to head up north and start gathering up some of the Route 66 caches which I solved on the weekend. Ended up being a better day than expected with 57 caches found plus a few DNF's. Um I think you might have been a bit premature in archiving this one. I stopped here and headed for the obvious hiding place. It wasn't in the first place checked but seeing it was found recently I looked again. Yes the cache is still there. Its a bit muddy getting it out but it is still available and the log is fine. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Dunnsontheroad. Maybe see if the reviewer will let you unarchive it?

Planning is now well underway for a major Event in the Wellington region later this year (2018). Check out the details on the Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website. The official cache page is live GC78NMQ - WENZ Event 2018. You can also visit the event’s page on FaceBook. If you are planning to attend, please ensure you register each planned attendees geocaching name on the official page and also on our WENZ website. There are over 300 will attends already listed. We are on our way to 500 and hopefully mega event status.

26-Nov-16
Thanks for replacing the container supernanny, agree that there was really only place it could be. My hands were too fleshy for this one so deferred to Huan whose graceful digits were better suited to prising this out of its hiding place. Signed the log and headed on our way. Sounds like a band was practising in the hall across the way. Keep it up! TFTC.

22-Nov-16
Had to dig for this one but got it TFTC

The Westies, Jag50, Jard 1037 and Rustynz were out collecting the smile series so we stopped to collect this one, after a bit of digging Mr Jag50 had cache in hand.

10-Jul-16
Out caching with "Team Westie" (Jag50, Jard1037, urbangypsynz & rustynz) doing the smile series. Last time we had stopped here the cache was nowhere to be seen. Rustynz knew where it should be but it wasn't. After a bit of rummaging we had the cache in hand. Not sure how we missed this last time. Maybe it was not quite where we thought it should have been.

09-Jul-16
Sorry but it seems to be gone...

Hmmmh.... I led my wife and the children at home in Germany and so I'm out of control for about four weeks. So I needed only two days after arriving to finish 100 founds in amazing New Zealand and at the beginning of the fourth day this was number 132.Wink A nice drive thru cache and I like it! I also put in a trackable that came along with me the very far journey.

Thanks a lot for the cache.

13-Jan-16
#10806. It was only after we stopped to look for this cache that I had a feeling of deja vu (I think last time we approached from the other road). This time round the cache was a quick find; note sure how we missed it last time when we had a carload of 5 cachers looking. TFTC.

13-Jan-16
Today we are leaving Auckland after spending 3 weeks exploring and caching around the city and we are heading northwards, destination: Algies Bay.
We had failed to find this cache when we were doing the smile series while attending the Auckland Mega but today it was an instant find - not sure why we didn't find it last time. Biggest pill container I have ever seen! TFTC.

03-Jan-16
On our way back from a weekend celebrating New Years with caching friends we spied this cache on our route and decided to stop and explore. Found the cache quickly and unfortunately someone had placed chocolates and lollies in the cache, removed the food as it attracts insects and no one is going to eat them if found anyway!? Signed log. TFTC!

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Greetings from Finland

17-Oct-15
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.

After the puppies we headed to Route 66. This was a quick find on a way. TFTC!

There was a muggle sitting in his vehicle just up the hill. Gap used the car to screen off ground zone and we quickly did the business here. TFTC.

An expected and much appreciated early finish after my exam today had me eyeing up a few target caches and a chance to clear the Riverhead loop of errant puppies, piggies and all manner of other fauna. With some healthily loaded salad and tuna sandwiches for company, a full tank of fuel, and a promise of rain all afternoon I ensured I'd got my scruffiest caching attire and was all set. Hitting the trail before 1 this afternoon had me back at my accommodation beforte dark with a succesful mission achieved. All in all got all the targetted puppies, piggies and over 40 smilies, including a first Smile cache.
Nice easy find here, cache full of lollies, took none
A nice old hall across the road too

Nice quick find, although the container had rolled from it's possie. Otherwise all good. Another nice cache on my way to the main event for the day - chasing puppies!

26-Apr-15
How cool it that - our 100th cache for the day here at Auckland's First 100. Would have loved a chocolate but I wasn't sure how old they were. Down here for the weekend with my caching buddy GraciesGPSfun. It's been a major caching weekend for us. Seven different types of caches found in 24 hours yesterday, Route 66 and the Dalmations today. Collecting a few extra caches that we pass on the way back to town to get our 100th for today. This weekend will be great for my stastics page. Such a buzz, TFTC Smile

Ou on a mission to collect the SMILE series and found this cache too close to ignore - would have been plain rude! Easy find. TNLN, thanks for placing Dunnsontheroad! Will have to seriously think about putting one of our own out soon - this being find 462.

31-Dec-14
We found this one on the way up north for New Years. It is always nice to take the scenic route and grab some of the caches on the road-less-travelled for us. The cache was not hard to find or retrieve at ground zero, with hardly anyone around to bother us. The cache is dry and in good condition. Thanks for the cache! Happy New Year!

21-Dec-14
A good size cache for swaps and TB's. Easily found just back from the corner. Good parking on either side of the road.

04-Oct-14
On an extreme caching mission from the mighty 'Tron with 11hpgh11, HKCB & JDM99, hoping to complete three Auckland power trails & find as many extra caches as we could along the way. We logged as any number of the possible combinations of H, H, K & J, as we kept forgetting which combo we'd agreed on. Parking & the find here were all straight-forward; good fun searching as a crew in the early morning & trying to avoid the intermittent rain with no muggles around to question our madness. TFTC.

04-Oct-14
A trip a long time in the making. 4 brave cachers to attempt 3 Auckland Powertrails in one day. Could it be done? Who knows. HKCB, Kiwis69, Jdm99 and myself arose early and left Hamilton to attempt a massive collection of caches. We logged as a group name HKJH or HHKJ or JKHH as our brains got wearier as the day progressed.

A nice quick find, well done on 100!

04-Oct-14
Out and about with Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and JDM99 on the sole purpose of tackling all 3 power trails in one day, and any else in between. To maximise as much daylight as possible it meant a real early start, so was on our way to Auckland at 3.30am, and the first cache located just before 5.30am. After many puppies, a couple of piggies, a few smilies, some epic field puzzles, and a trip down route 66, 16 hours of caching, 250ish caches and numerous kilometres we achieved our goal about 9.30pm. A great day, with some great company. Thanks to everyone for all the placements, we signed the logs with some combination of HHJK, for some reason the order kept changing.

04-Oct-14
Tagged along with Kiwis69, 11hpg11, and HKCB in the hope of grabbing 3 Auckland power trails in one day. A big day out and lots of fun. Thanks heaps to everyone for all the cache placements, logged as a combination of JKHH in random order. TFTC

Agazo, UncleSamNZ and myself had a day of caching planned. This was on the way to the start of the Dalmatian series so we thought lets stop. A quick dash across the road and the cache was soon in hand.

Thanks for hiding.
