Looked very carefully for quite a while. Found the spot that fitted the hint, and signs of having a cache there, but no cache itself. Never mind - onward and upward! Rodney and Iris.
On an epic caching mission with Shannonp1 through Reefton to Greymouth over the Lewis Pass, cacheing in Greymouth then returning to Rangiora via Arthurs Pass over two days. Final count for the weekend was over 200 caches. No luck here searched far and wide as previous logs said coords were off for them.
Had a decent look but no joy.

Spent sometime looking in the wrong place then thought we would try somewhere else and there it was simple as. TFTC
After a bit of fossicking and a couple of logs the cache was found stunning day in Cobden tftc
We wandered along in the torch light and soon found something that looked promising. A quick poke and feel and success. Interesting the council have let this place go. Cheers.
Plenty of activity at the park this evening. A car with no one in sight, others feeding horses, a car heading off across the park, a geocacher and another car coming in as I was leaving. TFTC #5105
Quick find.
Good to see some rehab work going on with plantings of flax etc, will tidy up the area.

A quick find while hunting out some Cobden caches before leaving Greymouth this morning. Signed log, TFTC
We had a short period to find a few caches in the Cobden area this afternoon and this was one of them. A short walk was all that was needed to bag this one. TFTC.
The GPS in the car had played up so when it pointed in a direction we thought impossible we were reluctant to leave our nice warm bubble and investigate. We did though and were rewarded with a smilie TFTC
Many Thanks for all the caches found today on a 1000km 20 hour trip from Oamaru to Greymouth and back.and maintaining them.

Came by due to the post by 'Andersoni' The log was a bit damp but is fine, maybe they got the caches mixed up? We gave it a new bag and left it as is. Happy Caching
Came a couple of weeks ago but didn't find it, but this time no problem at all - ah yes well if all else fails read the instructions.
Incidentally, the satellite view on the map on the Geocache website still shows the old rail bridge over the Grey River at Cobden - this was demolished in 2006 and replaced by a new one - have a look at the photos on this website http://www.heb.co.nz/projects.asp?projectID=78&serviceID=4 and in the lower photo you can see the forgotten park in the background.

Had to look twice at where the GPS was directing us but a route soon located. Took a bit of searching to locate the hint object in the long grass but all good. TFTC
Plenty of overgrowth, almost gave it away then I saw the hint. Thanks for the hide.

Most definitely a long forgotten park, but the horses are not upset at all. Miss Geckoh was a tad stumped by the hint but cache found all the same. TFTC

A nice easy find on a quick day's caching on the coast. Very lucky to strike a brilliant sunny day, and heaps of great placements.
Many thanks for this one.

One of the few caches we found on this side of the river. Very frustrating, so at least some light. TFTC
We think the farmer may have cleaned up the paddock. 5 sets of eyes couldn't find it. Tree pile wasn't there, lots of silage though. Would be interested to know if cache is still there.
Flood debris a couple of feet up the fenceline. Had a quick look but a busy spot this morning.
A short walk and a nice easy find here. Coordinates bang on. TFTC

Due to the last entry we visited on the way past today to find the whole hint object moved but luckily the cache was still there. We moved it a bit further down. All in place and good to go

Found the location and something resembling the remnants of the hint, but suspect it's been mowed over. Still an interesting place to visit.
I was out Birthday caching. This was find 4 of 17 for the 17th. My Dog found the cache before I did. TFTC.
Well, it looks like there are a few caches around that we've missed. We popped down to the park to do this one just after dusk. Said hello to the horses while we were down there.
Quick find in the only structure of note on this old sports ground. Wonder how long it will remain there.
Another good find while in the area on a geocaching holiday. Found fairly quickly at site. SL TFTC
