Checked on this cache and it was still in place, though the hint item has died so it would of made it difficult to find. However have removed the cache for now .
I’ll add my log to the previous three. Didn’t really expect to find this cache tonight but thought that I’d have a look as I was in the vicinity. There is a lot of vegetation here so maybe we missed it but after the previous dnfs I think that this cache may have gone awol
Not ours to find today. Very overgrown. Searched in many areas as per hint item, but came home covered in scratches and no cache
Came down to Hamilton to visit the car museum with rustynz and Rebel98 and little blackbird. But also there are caches that need to be sorted and those we choose to do.
After going to the 37 challenge cache so rusty and Rebel could sign in on it, Rebel headed back to the car and me and rusty carried on to this one, we knew there was a track to this one but we had to walk thru all the usual cow stuff in our gumboots on our way.
Gave this a pretty thorough search we think, tried several plants with that name, but no go for us today, a shame.

Well I checked around half a dozen of the hint plants today. Looked all under the foliage and around the base. No sign of the cache. Maybe it was under a plant I missed.
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches.
We headed out of the city for a bit to collect my puzzles out in the surrounding area. thegreatauk also wanted to sign two other caches in this area but we couldn't find them. Talk about procrastination - I'm supposed to be catching up on my logs from our Mega trip and what do I find myself doing? Looking up the Jasmer challenge!! Well I won't complete that for awhile and not without a trip to the south Island I think. Anyway back on task, we had a nice stroll to gz. We needed to google the hint item and once we knew what that looked like we soon had the cache. Thanks for another smile on our map today
Was thinking this might be a difficult hide from the logs and D/T rating but I followed the GPS, put my gloves on to start searching and it was right between my feet. All good. TFTC.
Really glad I found this one as I dnf'd the other cache on this walk and didn't want the walk to be for nothing! Bit of bush bashing and felt like i was in the middle of nowhere but made the find when I was about to give up and head back. Pretty hot and sweaty now. Thanks for the cache and the nice walk in this area
Nice lake area, thank goodness I looked up my plant species before I left home.
We're seeing a lot more of these town areas being fenced off and restored to native bush/wetlands. Well done to everyone involved.
I scored some ridiculously cheap flights to Auckland, and that means one thing - geocaching!! I had some specific caches in mind, so I hopped into the car at the airport, and drove straight this way. I had to survive in my hiking boots for the whole weekend to have suitable shoes for such an activity due to the seat only fare (I have perfected my packing technique since then ), but I managed. They came really handy here! Nice walk, and thanks for the warning about the fences TFTC!!
I was going to go after this one back on 2011, but I put it off until today. I was surprised at how many possible places there were that fit the hint. TFTC.
Thanks for the placement. The lake is a good place to visit credit to the volunteers that are developing the area. log is almost full.
Great spot for my daughter and I to relax in the shade. 10 years ago I planted about 1000 native seedlings here. I brought her to show her and also to grab a cashe. TFTC
After a bit if searching, dodging puddles and hiding from muggles we managed to find this little cashe. Awesome spot TFTC

I had wanted to sign off the nearby 37° South Challenge but saw this one was just about on the way. So with a slight detour and without any procrastination I managed to get there OK.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
This was an interesting place to visit. The water was so calm it looked very inviting but good sense prevailed and I looked for the cache instead. I hate these plants and I left with itchy arms and a cut on the thumb thanks to the vegetation!!!
First road trip for a while and making my way North. Enjoying a variety of caches all adding to the enjoyment of this trip. A nice walk to GZ and a quick find. TFTC
#11281. Didn't enjoy the search for this one, but we were (eventually) rewarded with a smilie. TFTC.
Our last full day in Hamilton and so about time we looked for a few more solved puzzles (not a very long list) plus whatever trads we happened to pass.
We were on our way to the two nearby challenges so had a short detour to this cache. If I had read the hint first, I may not have stopped as I loathe these things. Even more than flaxes! We searched several unsuccessfully and I was ready to throw in the towel but StreetWalker was determined and one last look turned up the cache. And it's a one diff rating - they must breed 'em tough in the Waikato.
My arms were already itching as we walked away, but I suppose we had a smile as compensation. TFTC.

A quiet stroll among the bushes had me at GZ quickly but not before tractors and cows rumbled past.
Once I understood the name of the indigenous flora all was quickly in hand.
Was able to avoid muggle interaction successfully
Grabbed the TB for onward journeys.
Pants need cleaning again though....

Showing a friend what caching is all about, a good one to take the dogs for a walk with TFTC
Needing a dot day filled and newest addition to the family needed a first cache and this was it! A very bumpy stroller walk and it was in our hands. Photo of littlest cacher's first cache attached, TFTC!
We took a rather longer route to GZ than we could have , but it did give us a close look at some of the ecological reconstruction planting.
Got to GZ and eventually found the cache in the nth place we looked.
We have visited this area before, without knowing its history. Thanks for the informative cache page, and TFTC.

Finding as many caches as I could, that I could count for Geo licence, on the way home from Easter Bunny event.
Mostly doing puzzles but picked this on for it's D/T rating.
Glad cache wasn't in that other stuff. Had a sinking feeling that it could take me awhile to find, but I picked the right place to start looking, even though GPSr was 2m off. TFTC

Out for a walk in this great model restoration area. Found after a short look . Gz spot on. Tftc
Another attempt here and another failure. We gave it about 10 or 15 minutes but wanted to get to the other caches around here with at least a little bit of light left. This definitely is not a D1 and that rating should really be corrected. Still unsure as to whether the hint is accurate or whether it's in a tree, as I was told after my previous attempt.
Lovely walk and scenery. Loved watching the wind blowing the long grass, you don't see that much. Had to work hard to find this one, but wasn't leaving without finding it. TFTC
No Gap today (Auckland)... How will we manage? I have my nephews (10 and 6) along for company. It's going to be a 'stay close to the car' day, especially with the weather being so changeable...
This cache required an extensive search. After combing through tufts of grass in all directions, we finally found the cache. This one was not without some sacrifice. I received a lot of cuts and scrapes that only became noticeable when I got home and took a bath. TFTC... I think.

Out at the open day. Tried the orienteering with matrix10101 so thought I had better try & find this. a little bit of fun finding the right thing but got there. Dropped a TB & a coin. Thought it was a good place to drop the weta, it's not a "Great NZ Walk" but still a fantastic spot. TFTC
Nice walk this morning along a walkway. Learnt that some of those grasses that caches are placed under are not very friendly.[xx(] Left some of my valuable hydraulic fluid behind and now nursing some nasty cuts.[:(!].
A walk after work on a pleasant dot day and a successful search- it doesn't get much better. We did a loop up to Brymer Rd and back, but didn't have time to explore the area further, so I'll have to look into those question marks hovering around here and then return. Thanks for getting us to stop here instead of driving past.
The cache is all clean and dry.

Lovely walk along to GZ, didn't know what the hint referred to but eliminated everything we did know and was only left with one option. Nice little hide. TFTC
2.35pm - Thought while here why not collect this one, the only intruders were a pair of canadian geese honking away. SLTFTC
I had a lovely walk around the wetland, which I primarily visited to complete the NZ Jasmar challenge cache. TFTC
Out for the day to clean up solved puzzles, collect caches for challenges and finish off some multi's, all of which have been sitting out there for way too long, and along the way hopefully pick up a few of the trad's that have also been bugging us for quite a while.
Having just completed the 37º challenge, Mr S spotted this one on his GPS, "there's another here" he said, "a trad, only xxx metres away" .
After some procrastination [^] we decided we should go find since we were so close. A nice stroll along the path to GZ then the hunting started. Looked and poked and looked and poked and finally just as Mrs S was about to suggest giving up, "there it is" said Mr S triumphantly. Thank goodness. Would have been a shame to have to had DNF'd the last one for the day.
Thanks HKCB, a bonus cache we were not expecting. Pretty little lake and good on the volunteers for the rehabilitation.

Found on the way to the lake end on another mission.
This took quite a while until I took a google lesson!

I guess I was expecting this one to be easy, being D1 and all (in plain view or obvious spot). Did a quick at-GZ google of the hint - yep, thought it meant that. Quite a few of them around so had a look at a few and then gave up since I really came here for the 37 South challenge and I have events to get to. I was told later the hint didn't apply and the cache was actually up in a tree. I dunno, might try again next time.
In the immediate area to find the two nearby challenge caches today so wasn't going to pass this one by. Took a bit of looking but I finally spotted it.

After emerging from a cache hunt in the depths of the jungle not far away we thought we may as well tackle this one as well so Punga walked back up to the car to retrieve the co-ords off his phone while Paua admired the flax flowers in bloom along the path. Thought this cache might be a problem after all the rain but it proved to be a quick and easy find with dry feet too! A nice spot. TFTC.
My parents live within 500m of this cache and I have been meaning to grab it far ages. The future plans for this area look really cool, I suggest their will be a lot more caches here once the planned development is complete. We were using a phone to navigate and found it struggled provide an accurate reading today. There were lots of possible hiding spots at GZ but found the cache after about 5 minutes of searching. TFTC.
Nice area for a walk but lots of options to check out at GZ. Found by eliminating the options TFTC.
Beautiful area, I love our peat lakes ! I parked nearby and went for a walk. I had a little bit of trouble with the hint item but I found it in the end. It was extremely well concealed! Thanks for the walk!
First find of the evening so unfortunately didn't take the time to enjoy the improvements that have gone on here since I walked this track when it was opened to the public for an official walk from the local school. Nicely tucked away cache thanks for taking us here.
started with this one in an attempt to do 12 caches today. Left it a bit late starting so didn't hang around. A nice area that will get better as time goes on. TFTC
Finally! Third time lucky - this time with my new GPS instead of iphone - what a difference! Instead of having phone gps dancing all over the place I walked straight to GZ.
Finally got around to doing this one - great place to walk off a lovely breakfast at a Numbers Event this morning - Thanks for bringing me here on the beautiful day TFTC
# 391 While looking for the Nawton series, decided to go for this one. Beautiful location which we didn't know existed.

Went in not knowing what the type of plant the hint was indicateing but found it eventually in the end!

Should have asked Mr Googles help for the clue but went ahead anyway. Finally stopped procrastinating on this one and it ended up being my 300th Right in my own backyard.
Water level very high and some of the track under water. Cache just above water.
We have planted trees here a few times. Gps not that helpful and so many possible hiding places. Gone home to warm up.
A place we have been procrastinating about visiting....
procrastination over, and Raven GC left in the company of the birds in the sanctuary during duck shoot season.

What a wonderful place. Had a look at the plans on the website and most impressed with how it is intended to develop over time. Lake looked great in the late afternoon sun.
Many thanks

Easy find in a beautiful spot, reading the information board looks like this will be a wonderful place in the years to come.

A most enjoyable walk to GZ, what else would be better on a public holiday but to be out caching. A lovely area and well deserving of a cache placement. TFTC

Beautiful spot, amazing effort by the volunteers. Wouldn't have walked past the no trepass sign, so thanks for bringing me here.
Nice area, wouldn't have thought to come here otherwise. Almost got busted by some pesky muggels thou!
When I got to the parking area and saw the trespass sign I didn't know what to do so jumped the locked gate and got there for a quick grab. Would love to stick a maimai there
Easy find on a nice morning

9054 Waiwhakareke Procrastination… Too right, nothing beats a bout of caching, many thanks for showing us these wetlands.
A nice easy find after the discussion about crossing the danger tape and no trespassing sign. Great spot can't wait for fencing to go up
As I said in my note I was "getting around" to placing a cache here as well.
Was up early this am and I saw a few caches getting published.
Dilema Spyder off rd temporarily. Wifey needed car to go to work at 0900. Thought it should be close enough. Got to Parking spot and realized not a problem. Got to GZ and thought what did the clue mean, a bit damp in the long grass with the recent downpour. After a minute or so found the cache and now no what the clue means.
Signed Logbook for 0815 but nearer 0810 probably.
Another FTF
Thanks
