Came at night 3 of us searched all over every nook and crany, no luck, 3rd time looking!
Searched everywhere but still did not find. Looked really hard but still no luck.
I was passing by after having lunch with my geega on Father's Day. He said there was some treasure to find here, so I had a look and it was so small but I found it hiding away. Just as well I didn't realise that a number of people had logged a DNF recently, as I might not have bothered looking. I noticed it has a new logbook, so perhaps the owner has been in to replace it. Took my shoes off and had a paddle with the mermaids. TFTC
Couldn't find this one, used the updated co-ords provided some time ago S 37 42.727
E 176 09.076 which took us to the only seat that wasn't there anymore. Owner might like to check this one.

Finally knocked this little bugger off! Found early morning during the light rain that was keeping most people indoors.
Most are waiting for cyclone Lusi to arrive, I was waiting for Mrs Splatty to have her brows done.
Keltic Kiwi's nano log winder tool worked a treat here.
Coords way off but got there in the end.

High muggles is right, but not many muggles sitting around outside due to the heat. First checking in the spot we thought it was only to go to our second spot and nailed it. TFTC Not another nano....LOL
Another one off our "Niggle List" on a successful revisit
Funny how simple it seemed today!!
Interesting to watch the security man checking out under all the grasses in the gardens --- he was looking for shop-lifted goods, apparently a favourite stashing place for those caches!!

Cool mosaics, many thanks for showing us the resident Frazer Cove Mermaids and the cache.
Frewilys's co-ords turned out to be spot on thankfully, lots of muggles about today.

Had me stumped for a little while - until I read the updated cords. Quick in and out, like a ninja!
Finally, after several unproductive visits, many of them not logged to avoid embarrassment, we were passing by the centre fairly late after a dinner in Tauranga. The Warehouse was closed and the cafes were winding down. This time at night, with the help of a torch was the successful formula. We were sure it was not there when we looked on previous occasions. Maybe our eyes were painted on.
Thanks nzkeko. Really glad to tick that one off.

Pretended to sit and stretch on the spot, foundwith a little help from papaka79, tftc
Dropped by here at 8am on a Sunday morning and had the place to myself, found in the 2nd place I looked
Arrived bright and early and even so, muggles passing. Surprisingly, BB's was open already for the early risers.
6.20pm - I really don't think there is a right time to do this cache, but with help from recent logs we have finally found it. Now off to the bar by us to have a drink. SLTFTC
Thanks to previous comments didn't take too long. Lots of muggles going about their day though.
Have had a couple of unsuccessful sorties and very high levels of frustration over this particular mermaid. Even after we had gone grey, splintered our fingers & worn down our teeth, gnashing, we came back!! WHY?? We noticed that some kind cachers had pity on the those of us with such a sad life and tidied up the coordinates... Thank you.
It still wasn't easy. We still had to get on our knees and pray, but we are pleased to report that we finally found it. TFTC

Once we used the coordinates supplied by Frewilys, it was a quick find. A very small cache.
Was going to enjoy a coffee @ the nearby cafe but as it was closed, it was great to be able to rest up by GZ.

After a little searching - helped having a sister to play distraction though high muggle area. Followed hints from previous people. Thanks
TFTC! OMG OMG!! Finally we have nabbed this little beauty. My sister lilmadagin introduced me to GC when we were holidaying on Stewart Island then didn't know how or what to do with GC. And this was our 3rd ever attempt of caching with a DNF. I tried again early Sunday morning about 07.30 when you think there is no-one BUT there was 2 ppls watching. Another day it will wait and wait it did. After reading both Bridgeaway and Frewilys logs I knew I could get this one finally, so thank you so much for helpful hints. Decided ohh well it must be Chinese for dindin today YIPPEE!! I don't have to cook and I'm not out late caching on a work-night. Done and dusted.

Using the coords kindly supplied by the friendly Frewilys, this was a much easier find than using the listed coords. Still a bit tricky being a high muggle area, but actually possible with more accurate coordinates. I went later at night after a long day and evening at work in the hopes there were less muggles about. Had to wait for a Warehouse employee who was lingering over her smokes to leave, and then for a group of people waiting for each other to leave to the Chinese restaurant together. Finally I had a muggle-free window of opportunity with my torch. Returning the log took a little longer as a guy was now waiting for his wife to finish her shopping. I decided to tough it out and waited longer still, texting a few people in the meantime. Finally he went and I could return the tiny little thing to its resting place. Took me a minute or so to find and about 20 minutes to wait for muggles to leave. TFTC

This is a day which rated our worst for geocaching DNFs. Well, it is the same as fishing. The worst caching day is always better than the best working day. Slinking back to Rotorua, with tail between legs, we though thought we might try this one again, just to add to our days list of DNFs. And we were not disappointed. We had lots of hints from the Squirrel and even tried the iPhone under the seat, like the previous cacher, but no good. On home and debrief over a scotch.
Thanks nzkeko.
Thanks nzkeko.
Finally got it!!! After a few hints from Nzkites I realised that 5pm wasn't ideal with a resteraunt next door! Cunning idea, used the iPhone to take videos of the gz to find cache rather than making myself look like a fool in front of all these muggles. Thanks !!!
Early start for a cache challenge today, and this was yhe most important find of the day.
To complete our challenge before midnight we needed one more find and we toyed with a couple of options but we finally decided to have another crack at this one as on previous visits it had been too busy to conduct a thorough search. We arrived at 10 to bewitching hour and with no one in sight apart from some warehouse workers, we were free to complete a search and the cache was located within a few minutes and the log signed at 12.54. Phew what a relief after a long day travelling quite some distance TFTC.

Second geocache ever! This one we went in thinking it would be simple and spent a while checking everything from lights to bins to power poles with no luck, when we were starting to give up. I figured I would have another look and success! Cheeky little one. It's so small it can easily be missed but well worth giving it a go.
Did it in the middle of the day 2pmish and weren't as stealth as we thought we were being but hard to get very stealthily, waited for people to clear the area and then stealthily put it back.
Thanks heaps for this.

Fantastic geocache to search for!!! Spent a good 40mins on the hunt! Put your feet up and take a rest if in doubt! Better to find at night as there are a lot of people around during the day.
Second time searching and still didn't find. Four of us searched for an hour, went shopping and searched again. Really hard trying to be inconspicuous. Left frustrated and empty handed. Searched all seats, lights, and bins. Are we close? [?]

YAY!! found it!! .It was totally irking me so returned again this evening, a very thorough search and tracked it down. had to really feel around. i feel much better! thanks for the assistance nzkites Cool little nano! Definitely much easier to find when there's no one around!!
(Singing) At laaast I've found you! We got a hint from a PAF but still couldn"t locate this elusive cache. So Janet gave up and went for a look in the Warehouse but Murray persevered. She sure rushed out of the Warehouse quickly when she got a call...."I think I've found it". And sure enough, he had located it where we didn't expect to find it. Yes, about 20m from the given co-ords, near the mermaids. Thanks for all the fun and many visits to Fraser Cove. Now what will Janet use as an excuse to come here?

Tried to locate this Sun evening and co-ords led us to the ashtray too. After reading some of the older logs last night we decided to have another go at it approx 8am, with a better idea of where it might be. We had a pretty thorough search but with the need for stealth, and without accurate co-ords it was too difficult for us! We have to admit defeat.
We were fortunate to find this on yet another visit late Monday evening after receiving further help from another geocacher who had found it previously. The nano was found almost 20 meters SSE from where our Garmin GPS was saying it should be according to the listed coordinates. Very well hidden! We would never have found it without the extra info, it was like the proverbial needle in a very large haystack. Thanks for the cache.
On a very secret squirrel mission this evening...
I am traumatised by this cache... I've been to ground zone several times, and with some woeful stories to tell. The coords led me to the ashtray... I'm not the only poor soul to arrive there. Others have had the same outcome. It's not a nice place to be...
Widening my search to find things metallic... I tried the light fittings on the walkway walls. Got cut and glass splinters from a broken bulb... and an electric shock... Great!
Used a PAF and got a ball park search area... then discovered the cache was disabled. The last time I looked, brought the niece and nephew over. Our daylight search was uncomfortable and disrupted, so we gave up. Had enough already??? Found it finally... TFTC.

Was missing indeed, replaced, up and running again.
Please place back exactly as found and stealthily and carefully, thank you.
Happy hunt

We decided we would have a go at this one before we went back to Rotorua as it was getting late in the afternoon and we figured there would be fewer muggles around.
Well that thought was slightly incorrect, there were still muggles around, smoking, or sitting with kids while they played around the little pool and one only SECURITY GUARD. !!
So we introduced him to the mysteries of Geocaching and he was interested enough to listen and stayed while we had a good look around. He was good cover, but in spite of his assistance we could not find this little one.

Hmm this was a tricky one for our first geocaching outing. After wandering around for quite a while with disorientatedkiwis we decided to call it quits on this cache and try again another day.
On an outing to introduce 'freekiwis' to geocaching. Four of us wandered around for ages but could not find. Will try again some time.
First find at around 6-45am. Nice and easy to look at this time.
My second visit here and located it this time.

Dnf with dad I'm afraid. Co ords took us streight to ashtray but everything seemed to be in order... Another time
been there a few times looking for this - had almost given up and then saw that somebody else had just found it
cant belive how easy it was to find this time - must of been searching with our eyes closed lol

After much searching we came up with the goods. Miles away from gz. Obvious spot when you think though. Sit in the middle of the muggles away from the smokers.
Quick find with ccrichie and PoppyMJR - ccrcichie did the honours with the logbook as he thought you wouldn't appreciate our additional items, cats and love hearts. It was a busy day with lots of shoppers, but we were the perfect distraction!!!

Second time of asking for this one.....last time there was a teachers' protest occuring right at GZ, this time a quick escape from the local Warewhare allowed Charlie and I to scope out the possibilites.....BOOM there it was - quick sign and put it back, took the liberty of signing for GraceRMR and PoppyMJR - they were present but their level of writing skills would probably lead to needing a new log...they do like decorating their logs with hearts etc!!! Initialled with CR, GR AND PR.

Had a really gud hunt after all the shops had closed, and no luck either. Maybe its gone?
Had a good look round while on a Mummy/daughter date with Miss11, but couldn't find it. Will try again with the actual GPS unit instead of with my phone that wasn't refreshing properly.
Man, we did our second big search of this area today and still haven't found it! Oh well.

Happened to be over in Ohauiti doing some house warming jobs and celebration and while Mr Geckoh was busy banging out some unwanted walls in the garage, Mrs Geckoh went over to Frazer Cove to pick up some supplies and together with Miss Geckoh went to have another go at this one.
Miss Geckoh reckoned she knew where it was;
"Where that fat guy was sitting drinking his V drink last time"
And sure enough, no fat guy there this time and there it was right where she thought it was. lol.

Got to Fraser Cove before the shops opened, so not too many muggles around Easter Monday... no luck for us today either, but we will be back for another try....
found on a day out with the kids, i hate fights over signing log entries LOL
found and signed before dad even had a chance to find out what we were upto LOL
Thought it would be a relatively quiet day, Easter Sunday, with the shops shut... Still a few people around, but we had a jolly good look. No luck. Couldn't have had the right glasses on today.
Going past as it was lightly raining - so thought it might be a bit quieter and a good time to try this one.
GZ was a bit out for me and had me hunting in wrong place at first but then narrowed down to other options. Need glasses sometimes for these little lovelies! TFTC

Well this was a bonus on our shopping trip. Can't believe we managed FTF (2 for the day!). Right place at the right time. Gets very busy around GZ, but early this morning there was plenty of unobserved time to hunt. I love gnarly little nano's. TFTC
Saw this pop up this morning & thought might get a FTF but had to visit the grandkids first so had to settle for second. Was fairly sraight forward as the day wasn't flash & not too many folk about.
