Reading the description knew what I needed for this cache. Here today but sport was one so it was flat out…. But gz was pretty quiet which made it easier for the find…. Extremely cool always liked these style of caches tftc
Interesting but not the first I’ve seen of these. Cache needs some attention. I will message CO separately. Thanks!
This one took us on quite an adventure but we got there in the end. Found with Tim; no cache guardians today but plenty of muggles. Log too wet to sign; needs more paper as well. TFTC.
Out caching this lovely sunny day out cleaning up the Geeling area a bit with Biggles and Stemicmitsar. Searching for the usual hit caches and other odds and ends along the way
Thanks for the cache and being part of a good day out today.

*Cache find # 11936.*
Today I headed over to Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula with biggles1024 & buhfuhguh for a bit of caching fun and adventure.
After a bit of a walk to Edwards Point and back, we were now heading to St Leonards and beyond, this was one we found along the way.
We had some of the tool we needed to retrieve this one but it wasn't enough, lucky for us a fresh supply of the needed tool was very close by, cache was retrieved and the very second hand log was sort of signed.
**Thanks to VKC1SR for placing this cache.**

**Find #4784**
**Mystery Find #909**
I headed out with Steve and Michael to the Bellarine Peninsula to target some of Victoria's 500 oldest caches and a few other caches of interest.
The weather was perfect all day and we covered quite a bit of ground on foot and driving. Some progress was made on a long term Wherigo too.

Out caching on the Queens Bday long weekend with TheLostWanderer004. Decided to make a full day of it and smash out a good chunk of the Bellarine. Such a beautiful part of Australia. Thanks for the hides Logbook needs replacing.
Couldn't have done it without Donutholes assistance! Tricky my first find of this kind! TFTC
We had read the description before departing and came prepared for this one. Still, there was a slight hiccup but fortunately it didn’t really set us back far. All good and the cache retrieved and log signed.
Off on another day caching around the Bellarine Peninsula with our good mate Rebel Acts.
A mixture of trails and other caches. The trails here are a bit of a treat as rather than the preform tubes or similar containers we have generally experienced in the past, most containers are of good size and often are a bit of a feature of the theme in the cache name.
We were racing the weather a bit trying to get in as much as possible before rain set in, but still had to battle showers. Lucky we were prepared.
All in all, another great day caching.
All logs signed with RASP (Rebel Acts, SKI Pair).

My good friends Ski Pair were heading down to Geelong for a few days and invited Me to join them, who could resist being chauffeured around and the company and laughs are always good. We had a great time touring the area discovering new locations while finding caches, We even managed dinner with Suscoe and Busfire.
This is one of the caches we found for the week. Mr Ski did the hounours on this one, thankfully we got it done.

The rain has stopped and we went out to walk the dogs. Stopped here first to make a quick find. Came armed with necessary container and had no trouble in getting our name on the log sheet. TFTC
When we last visited Portarlington to do Geocaching we were really green and had no idea how to find this cache. (we didn't even realise wat the different types of cache were). We were looking in all the wrong places and barking up all the wrong trees. Now that we have actually read about Geocaching and worked out how some of it works we had a much better idea about how to approach finding this cache. Armed with the knowledge we have acquired we made short work of finding the cache and have now completed our first Mystery Cache. Te cache was in good condition, although I suspect that in the not too distant future there may be some separation of vital components. The hide is very clever. TFTC #118
Enjoyed a day out checking the sites in the caravan park for our next trip. Great hide. Well done
Awesome!!!! We had seen other caches similar before but were suitably impressed with this one. Thanks for the hide.
A great idea and wonderful to find on way home from the portarlington mussel festival
Is it here? But it’s a puzzle. What’s the puzzle? Ohhhhh. I see!!! Hello there cacherooni!
Being mid week we were the only people here so no one observed us in our quest to retrieve the cache container, except the huge spider that was with the cache. SL TFTC
Understanding the reference, we brought along the tools and chemicals to retrieve the cache. Once at GZ, we were happy to see the relevant tools and chemicals was already provided.
This was a fun one to do.

After reaching my #2000 milestone cache earlier today, family Perpetuallylost headed into Portarlington for lunch and a swim. Afterwards i wanted just one or two more finds on some mystery caches i was watching, this being one of them. I came prepared after reading the hint but it took three attempts before the cache finally popped up!
Well done VKC1SR, a really well done cache, and it blended in well with the environment. FP coming your way.

For some reason I had a DNF on this one some years ago. Today the only problem was waiting for muggles to water their dogs.
Today a group of us took the ferry from Docklands, to have lunch at the pub in Portarlington.
The ferry ride was very pleasant and the staff, and food, at the pub were superb. Highly recommended if you are down that way.
A few of us took a walk, including some uneducated muggles, and we logged this cache along with Ruschie. Thanks VKC1SR.

Visiting town on my midlife gap year so needed a cache to mark the location on the geo-map... This one seemed fitting.
Passed by today to make the find and as I've seen this kind before made short work of the challenge to be had onsite, and soon had cache in hand - Ive done some dicey caches before, but this was probably the most dangerous to date, as a redback had made the outer container its home, and was guarding a nest of eggs (so the next cacher may find alot more than 1 redback!) - with some trepidation and caution I managed to get in and add my moniker to the attendance list, and replace all as found, including said Spidey (I wasn't about to disturb him anymore than I already had... His movements around showed me he was a swift mover, and wasn't the least bit distressed by the recent bath he had had - or maybe it just stirred him up, who knows?) - anyway, thanks for the find and added adventure!

Grub62 and I have seen this type of cache only once before but it is still an amusement and a challenge. Great cache. TFTC.
Down for the Portarlington Mussel festival Bunadoorian and I thought we would grab this fun cache before heading off to the festival. So glad we got it early as this area filled up with cars for the festival by the time we got back. TFTC VKC15R we enjoyed this so much.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for a fun cache. We signed the logbook FETT.
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks VKC1SR for the cache.

Find #3617. Found @ 17:03 with The Good Lady Wife.
We're on a getaway to Portarlington and decided to take a stroll around the area to check out the lay of the land. A bit of a detour was called for to collect the nearest cache or two.
Continuing our tour of the local area and we did a lap of the oval before arriving at the GZ. My original plan was to see what I needed, then return later. However once on site, all that I required was available and I soon had cache in hand.
The log is full and disintegrating, so should probably have a health application of TLC in the near future.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache VKC1SR.

Found this one today while in town catching up with some family and after a some what cool and breezy bite to eat at the local playground with the kids I made the most of a chance to get out of the weather for 5 minutes and ducked off and grab a cache or two. We came prepared for this one and I had the help of my eldest son and his muggle mate to assist me with the retrieval. After reading the last log I was keen to see if the cache guardian was in the residence. It didn't take long to find out and it was quite amusing to see the young boys jump back in fright as the now annoyed local now ever so quickly darted out and I seemed to be the only one interested on retrieving the cache while they were too busy dancing around and flapping their arms about. I did the duties on grabbing the cache while they continued their merry jig. Plenty of laughs and an enjoyable hide, thanks VKC1SR for the cache! Log is getting quite full and will require a new log sheet soon too!
Having solved most of the puzzles before we left home, this one proved a little more difficult. The solution we had was pretty clear, but not being so confident with this one all we could do was to try. Our first attempt to find the cache produced a scary surprise that ran across my hand. Good thing we had a back up as all of our first effort was now totally lost. The second attempt was far more successful with a cache now in hand rather than a shelob on it. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKAms
Couldn't find this one, but from reading some of the previous logs I had a pretty good idea as to where it was supposed to be. Didn't see any spiders either. Greetings from Canada!
We managed to slip down the coast to attend some of the traditional geofunctions as well as catch up with family.
After Mr Morris dried off from his dive we headed around the coast for some scenic views and some more local caches. Someone has been messing with this one but Mr Morris has cleaned it out and cleaned it up - hopefully all good for the next finder. Our last for the day - we spent a long time here but it was a fun day - thanks VKC1SR

Knowing what we had to do and actually getting it done were 2 different things.
We quickly worked out there was a blockage which we finally sorted out with a bit of a hand from nature.
When we arrived there wasn't a muggle in sight, by the time grabbed the cache there were people everywhere! thankfully they were busy with their own hobbies.
Another find by the McPhail family.

You'll see why when you're at gz.
I wasn't sure whether it's on purpose or accident?
So grateful with my skill to get it and log it and rehide.

TFAnotherC VKC1SR. I enjoyed this one, which was 4th attempt lucky. Unfortunately, the huntsman was having none of it in the end and scurried away. Jimmytherat
Only spotted one muggle running nearby today, so this was easily retrieved. I like these types. Noticed quite a few people with their dogs as we drove out. TFTC
After attending the MEGA yesterday, Team Spider ended up travelling up to Portarlington for the miniature trains (the 1 and 3 year old spiderlings delighted in this) and to hit the nearby wineries for Daddy Long Legs. We still had time to kill before the trains started running, so the whole clan ventured into Portarlington itself to find some caches. This one was first off the list and we pulled up right nearby. A great place to just let the spiderlings run around on the grass and I happened to realise exactly what was needed. Fabulous to have a dog-bowl handy to help out, but I was hindered by a huntsman living just above the cache.....I didn't want to have to use my hands. I surrendered to the braver Daddy Long Legs and our teamwork retrieved the cache however the spider came out with it and I squealed like a total wuss-bag. Cache signed and returned, a happy family on our way again. TFTC VKC1SR - a favourite point from me.
Apologies for generic log. Now 8 months behind on logging and really need to catch up. Fantastic time caching in Melbourne again. Many thanks for the effort.

Found on Day 2 of Surf Coast Event four day adventure.
This was one of many puzzles we solved Thanks for organising the event home before our travels south. Today the job was to finish off the puzzle by hunting down and finding the caI qualified for the challenge cache as follows;e. Always enjoy a good puzzle.
The day started by heading out to Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff and then making our way around the Bellarine Peninsula through Portarlington and Clifton Springs, collecting puzzles and Earthcaches, before heading backing into Geelong. Straight after we tackled the AB4C series around Mount Dunadeed, attended a pre mega event and then moved north and grabbed the Puzzle Me Easy series before calling it a day!
Thanks VKC1SR for putting out the cache and the hunt!

Thankfully, we had noted the attributes for this one and came appropriately armed with the resources we needed... A lesson leant from another cach this weekend...
Pack hunting with Ghostgums, The Green Geckos and Mistraluna, after making our way to GZ the cache was soon spotted by TGG and retrieved for addition or a sticker to the log. All over nice and quickly, the cache was replaced and we were off to the next.
Cheers VKC1SR.

Up until relatively recently, I had thought it nigh on impossible that I would be coming over for the Surf Coast Mega Event, but unexpectedly, all the planets aligned and the seemingly improbable somehow became a possible. I then had a kick in the butt from a geocaching friend who said I should treat myself and come - so I did. Am here I am, in sunny Victoria, unlike rainy Stanthorpe last year - who would have thought!!
I was lucky enough to team up with Gunnie69, THE GREEN GECKOS and Ghost Gums, all from Brisbane, leaving me as the one West Aussie in the group. We all worked on the puzzles independently in the the lead up to the trip, then joined forces here in Victoria for an assault on mostly puzzle caches, but with a fair whack of Earth Caches, challenges and letterboxes, plus a smattering of other types thrown into the mix to spice it up a bit. Let's just say that we were after quality, not quantity, and that we came away more than happy with the caches that we did find whilst there.
I came home absolutely exhausted, but happy - both of which are my criteria for knowing if I had a good holiday or not. Big thanks to my fellow team mates for letting me join the team and for the awesome time we had caching together in Victoria - great group of people, lots of fun and adventures along the way, and of course, oodles of great caches to be found in many awesome locations.
We were quickly onto what was required with this one. Cache retrieved, log signed, cache replaced, then off we went in search of more smileys. Thanks for the effort that went into placing and maintaining this one VKC1SR

Ha...we knew what to do here but didn't expect the spider that came running out first which made everyone let go of their task. Take 2 and the log was signed. It's full BTW.
Armed with the required materials, we headed off to this cache. We were quickly at GZ and determined what was required. That led to a quick retrieval of the well designed and constructed cache. The cache and contents weer in good condition. Thanks VKC15B for the puzzle and cache.

This one has been a too blue for too long on my map. I have wanted to do this cache for some time and this morning it was time to turn it into a yellow smile. I took some supplies with me but some were close by just in case. I walked past this one firstly before turning around and spotted what I wanted. Cache retrieved quickly, log needs replacing as it is full and there is hardly any paper in it. Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for this puzzle cache, VKC1SR** [^]
**Cache container ok, log needs replacement**
**Took Nothing, Left signature**

Loved this one. Good fun. Lucky I had Deshut with me to help. Found a bonus red back too. Thanks
Targeting caches for Mystery Month challenge, and arrived at this one on dark. unbelievably the reserve was still busy with people all over the place, who probably thought nothing of us stumbling around in the night. I'd actually found a cache with this exact set up in Parkville this morning (busy day!), but my geobuddy had never so he was super impressed with such a cache construction and retrieval method. Almost hidden in plain sight too - great! TFTC
A nice pun in the name and good coords meant we were quickly at gz. Suehut tried to dismantle the drinking fountain to her surprise but it proved relevant as we solved a clever puzzle. Don't know how you do it on your own. A favourite from me. Thanks.
We thought about a similar design for a cache, great place to put it. Thanks for the great effort. PS- warning Redback spider in residence!
Caching around the Bellarine Peninsula today and eventually made my way to Portarlington looking for mystery caches. Despite the frenzy of activity on the sports field, GZ was well-placed so I could inconspicuously retrieve the cache while rehydrating from the day's activities .
Thanks, VKC1SR.
Thanks, VKC1SR.
Had a look at this one last night and had our 'ah ha' moment on how to retrieve this cache.
After a lovely afternoon enjoying the sunshine we aimed to turn this into a smiley. Great coordinates had us right where we needed to be, with the tools we needed to retrieve it. Took a couple of goes (and some extra tools) to retrieve this clever little cache. Log quickly signed and replaced in its hiding spot. Thanks for the challenge!

Did some running repairs today, please do not use any force. Nothing needs to be dismantled!!!!!!
Great concept for this cache, not required to get it but we obliged anyway. Thank you for the thought and planning of this one and for bringing us here!
Came down to Visit friends today and took them to do some caching. This was a good one to show to other people. Everything was in place to get it to work the kids loved it. TFTC
Easily found, although I'm not sure that we retrieved the cache the way it was intended. We used no tools at all
Having enjoyed a coffee at the local café decided to have a look for this cache as there was no-one around. It was my lucky day as this cache ended up being a lot easier than it should have. Thanks for placing this cache.
This was a challenge...took some thinking and a return visit....difficult being by myself but succeeded in the end
Nice one VKC1SR. We had just enough on hand to get finger tips onto the cache, although more was available if needed. We reckon this could be worth an extra D star for single operators as it was certainly a 2-man job for us. All good within.
Luck was with us today as there wasn't anyone around and we soon had our names in the log, thanks for the cache.
So many times we have attempted this cache but always had to keep on driving past due to high muggle activity but today was the day we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Having just enough of the extraction tool, we were soon signing the log and making trails before we alerted any attention.
Thanks VKC1SR for the cache.

Sussed this one out this morning and returned with required "tool" this arvo for a quick find having found a couple like this before. Log full and didn't have a spare with me. TFTC VKC1SR
Found 8/4/2015 @ 14:02.
Reading some of the past logs I saw mention of spiders and quickly delegated Mr. Kalianda09 to blocking holes while I did the delicate part of the operation. One rather large red back spider later (now sadly deceased) and we had the cache in our hands. Thanks VKC1SR for another awesome cache.

Came back with mum after reading all the logs, and we figured it out! Very clever! Tftc
Today TheRustyDuck and I set off on an epic journey to collect mystery caches. We are attempting the Mystery Month Challenge and travelled from Lara right around to Ocean Grove. We had spent all week solving puzzles and writing a itinerary. After the long week we set off early, for a car full of stuff and a packed lunch. We had a great day visiting all the places we did today.
We disturbed the resident spiders doing this one today. I wasn't to happy when all of a sudden there was a quite large red back looking at me. We had to go and refill of the required tool for this cache and when we returned the red back had left, and in its place a huntsman had appeared. We eventually had our hands on the cache and avoided the spiders. If doing this one, be careful of the creepy crawlies here. TFTC

Today was Mission: Mystery Cache. yellowdaisy135 and I collected mystery caches from Lara, through Geelong, all the way down to Ocean Grove. This was the 13th of 21 mystery caches, in what turned out to be quite a long day. We spent most of the week leading up to today solving as many puzzles as we could. Some were solved almost immediately either by myself or by yellowdaisy, while others required significant time and effort. In the end, time got the better of us, and we had to forgo searching for a few. We had a few hiccups along the way, but all in all it was a very successful day.
Thanks to all the cache owners for putting in the effort to make great puzzles. TFTC.
Not one but two spiders joined us for this cache. yellowdaisy135 handled the situation very well considering her proximity to said arachnids. Of course as a biologist TheRustyDuck was unfazed. That's my story anyway, and I'm sticking with it!

Excellent, excellent. We loved this one. Will be back to log as a favourite when we have found a couple more to earn a point. Perfect spot for it. Not sure why it is a puzzle, but we'll take it! Many thanks for the clever design, execution and the effort to make such a fun cache. Gave GeoBen a great free mini physics lesson. Thank you.
Seen caches like this before so always come prepared. Once I'd seen it, I made a dash back to the car, back to the cache, log book in hand and off again. TFTC
by luck we stumbled this cache. We where in the area to drop a friend off at the caravan park, and geo kid as all geo kids do needed a bathroom stop. As I waited for her I noticed something up ahead that looked familiar. After a little look inside we spotted the cache, thankfully we had what we needed to retrieve it on hand.
We managed to find a small space on the very full log to sign. TFTC geo kid loves these kinds of caches.

Took about 10 visits to narrow down but finally found the spot. Log was saturated, dried it out before replacing.
Find #343 at 2:08. Today would be the best day of the wind would go away! It's warm and nice so we had our lunch in St. Leonards and came over to Portarlington to find some caches. LOVE this kind of hide! Thanks for the cache
