Found the little sucker! only problem was that it kept getting jammed inside the hiding place, and I had to remove the whole thing to extract it. Even then, the camouflage had been damaged so that the cache couldn't come out without force.
Then the log was wet, and difficult to write on.
I can picture just what should have been, but I had seen that the muggle damage done would have prevented the system to work anyway. Maybe a different choice of materials used would help it survive longer.

The camouflage and hiding system has been damaged. The cache jammed within, and had to be forced out. Could not get it back in.
This os one of the best hides ever several dnf but well bugger me !!!

Dnf - but the log has been rolled off so confirmation that the cache is still in tact and in position
Not sure if cache is in wood log or not but log has most definitely been moved off its concrete rest and is in a diff spot to last time.
Found this one with Rheneas today - team effort seems to be the way to go with this one in particular. Finally got our hands on the cache container & struggled to get log out as it's quite damp. Managed to extract it with a little tool but it will need some TLC as it's not in great shape. Cool concept though!

Pretty sure I was in the right spot. Worked out what needed to be done I think. But then...nothing????
Was attending a kids birthday party just around the corner from this, decided to duck out and find with craziefour. I'd performed some recon on this cache on Friday so knew where the cache was hidden and had received some good intel over the weekend as to what I needed to do to extract the cache, so came somewhat prepared. Unfortunately the item I brought along with me was too small, requiring much more effort than really necessary to obtain the container. Once we had cache in hand, it was a further struggle to get the damp log out of the container, forcing us to return to the birthday party to obtain a non-standard tool to extract the log, finally managing to sign. Novel idea, really enjoyed the challenge of this cache. TFTC Blundo!
Saw where the cache would be but did not have the correct extraction tool with me, lucky for me ris768 would soon pass my location and had what i needed so we extracted the cache to only realise that we too could not get the log out, so ris768 called the CO to let them know of our debacle. TFTC BB
found cache but couldn't get log out of it's container. looks like the log has fallen iff the stick it surposed to be on in my opinion
Walk up find. In the interest of protecting a glass container with a skinnier kneck the outside of the bottle is now painted partially black. Tftc
Found the cache but the log was extremely difficult to extract. Finally managed to get it out to sign it. TFTC.
#63 - Looking 4 Cache iPad App
Attending the Geocaching Meetup in January was a godsend as many attempts to locate this cache prior to this were fruitless. Thank you so much ris768 for indicating which extraction tool I would need and the specific technique to make retrieval possible. After GeoDad and I finally retrieved the cache, getting the log out proved way too difficult so given home is only 10 mins away, we took the cache home. We used a variety of instruments and discovered only a pair of fine tweezers would get the log out of the cache. After successfully extracting the log, I signed it and proceeded to return the cache back to its hiding spot. The paper is starting to appear water damaged so the cache may require changing to avoid the paper mache experienced by previous geocachers.

Bikerbuddy & I were headed towards another cache when he realised we would be passing near to this one. Quick detour & we were at GZ. Perfect time of day to attempt this one - the place was deserted, so we had the leisure of evaluating our options.
Retrieval took a little time, as we didn't have quite everything we needed on us. Luckily it could be obtained nearby! Eventually we had the container in our hands, but our problems had only just started. The cache has been waterlogged at some point, and the log turned to mush. We did manage to finally get the mushy paper out, but were unable to sign.
So bikerbuddy made a call to the CO, to let him know about the problem. Meanwhile I looked in the back of the car & found that I had some spare logs. We signed a new log & returned it to the container, then returned the container to its hiding spot, ready for the next searcher to hunt down.
Thanks

I first attempted this cache some time ago with Canary. We had the right method, but the cache had somehow gone missing, so we didn't log a find for that attempt. As Toriaz says, attempting this cache again was a matter of serendipity; we happened to be passing by at an excellent time in the evening when there would be few muggles to disturb us.
Retrieving the cache was no problem this time, but signing the log was not possible. It had turned in papier Mache. We let the CO know and put another log in, although the cache will probably need some maintenance to prevent it happening again.
Thanks Blundo Busters for an interesting exercise in cache extraction!

What a great Cache. Very inventive and the kids really enjoyed this one. Log book was unable to be signed as it was soaked through. I will email a photo to the CO to prove we have found it.
Spent 45minutes here this morning, until a large number of cars started streaming in for a meeting or something. Before that, we'd quickly found what appears to be the hiding spot, with several items inside which need moving. Tried natural tools but only managed to get a few items out of the way. I don't mind the searching, but extraction which requires specific tools is a real detractor for me. Might come back to this another day if I need a find.
What an effort to extract the cache only to find an unobtainable wet log book that I could not even sign. A waste of natural resources and time. I have taken a pic of the extracted cache as proof of the find which I will send to the cache owner via email later today.
Found but had to try this several times to find a wet & unsignable log. Waste of natural resource & effort.
Well after getting enough of the right resource we finally managed to get the little bugger out but could not extract the rather wet log. Took a picture instead.. TFTC
Out on a early morning bike ride, ended up doing 20km all up, and I can't remember how many I attempted.
I was getting excited trying to find this cache, but too many muggles to have a good search

We located what we thought was the hide and phoned a friend to confirm that it was and he suggested what we had to do. We located some tools on the car but there just wasn't quite enough length so we went on a quick search of the area and located some more and soon had the cache in hand. The log is very wet but we were able to write on it. Love a cache that is a bit out of the ordinary - a fav point from us! TFTC

Cache check. Had new container and log all prepared, but on arrival at GZ, I was able to extract both old container and old log.
Replaced with new water tight container and it's new log.
Will recycle old container along the way at some stage.

The morning spent caching with my good mate AMGSARI, we found quite a few but unfortunately we also had a couple of DNF as well, all part of caching.
I looked for this cache some time back when it was in a different form.
AMGSARI had scoped the cache out previously as well and together we thought we had a solution, so today we came equipped with "natural means" to resolve the problem. With a little assistance the cache was retrieved however the log sheet was completely soaked.
After signing, we replaced the log sheet as the previous one just fell to pieces, and carefully repacked the new log sheet and replaced the seals. Cache returned to is original position.
A definite Favorite for me!!

I had been to this cache some time ago and with the right idea I struggled to retrieve it by myself. Today accompanied by GazMag and some resources we thought may come in handy the cache was soon in hand.
Very glad to have this one crossed off.

No luck with this one. My GPS was indicating I was right on top of it and there was nothing I could see requiring retrieval with tweezers.
We had a good idea of what we needed to retrieve the cache so we came well prepared & thank goodness that we did...first time it had got stuck & nothing happened so we tried again & BAZINGA...but as the last cacher has said log is soaked & we were unable to sign (didn't even want to try)...T4TC
Our 6593rd overall find. Found with FarmerFrentzen on our tour around the area today. 79 finds in total for the day in temperatures up to 38 degrees
I'm not sure this one really is a traditional as you need to bring something with you. We eventually got the log out.
Thanks Blundo Busters for the cache.

This was another cache that TeamSenz and I stopped by on a long day of caching around the region...and it took a second or do to realise what was required to extract the cache...and it so happened that we had the means of doing it...even though it took a couple of goes to get the cache out. As there was a meeting going on in the nearby building...we needed to be slightly stealthy about why we were standing at GZ...but it only took a few minutes and we were gone!
Apart from the CO's disregard of the guidelines by damaging the structure at GZ...this was a nice idea. While I'm not going to place a NA log on the cache as the integrity of the structure hasn't been compromised...this sort of thing sets a precedence for other cachers to follow.

Not much of a chance to look really, people starting to turn up to play cricket, so we gave up and left.
Glad I brought my nephew for this one as I needed a little Dutch boy to help me. Log sheet had a little bit of damage to it but nothing too major. SL #605 on streak day #112 TFTC fav point awarded
I'm pretty sure I've found it but I can't get it, need to think about what is a natural extraction tool.

Council renovating car park immediately next to GZ. Will re-assess in a few days. Then can enable.
Have ordered a new container to replace the abused one. Will hopefully be in place within the next week.
Sorry fellow cachers, but 18.02 will be offline for a while.
It has been broken by cachers using obviously makeshift, and heavy-handed, retrieval methods and has to be fixed.
Cheers - Blundo Busters.

Due to the recent modification to the cache, this is now more like a 1.5 star difficulty rating, and not as intended.
Disabling for a short time to make minor changes.
Thanks for the heads up Alfyboy.

After hearing the rumors about this cache while at the event in the Mountains recently, I decided to come along for this cache. I had also spoken to another cacher who had recently found it as well. He had made some adjustments on the cache which he thought he was doing the right thing and fixing it. Turns out there is only one way this one was meant to be done.
Then I rock up with Team Canary on the phone, park close to GZ and walk straight to a cache spot, check and find a great tool to extract cache. Withing seconds I was signing the log , much to the dismay of Team Canary. CO will need to do some mantainance on this as it's an easy find and easy retreaval ATM, and needs to be 'rejigged' again. Thanx for a another nice cache though BB, TFTC.

Woo finally found this one, with some help from fellow cacher Pilgrim4096. Very clever BB. TFTC
I'd "found" this pretty quickly a few days ago but doing the paperwork would take more resources than I could muster then. I was back today, properly equipped. With the area conveniently deserted, I coerced this little devil into my grip to formally complete the find. Thanks again Blundo Busters.
A tricky cache as no iformation is provided on what as needed to retreive the cache. Luckly we had some way to mak the required equipment and managed to retrieve the cache.
I dont think this cache should be a traditional and the difficult level needs to be put up for the tools you need alone. also should have more information as to what tools people require. I was very fortunate to have the correct tools in the car.
Wanted to get this one before the muggles arrive for Saturday morning sport, so at 6:30am I arrived at GZ and with nobody about and I started to look. Had a bit of a idea what I had to do to get this tricky hide. Didn't realise it was going to be this tricky! Went for a walk and came back with some help and started to retrieve the cache, when a Blacktown city council van drives by and the driver gave me a funny look. Did the old pretend to be on the mobile phone trick as to what I was doing here. Waited for the van to leave and soon had the cache in hand. Whats this? Cache in a cache. Thanks BB for the challenging hide.

I have serious doubts that is (a) a two and a half star difficulty cache or (b) a traditional cache!
I have no doubt that it is a clever cache.
Today, I came back with the stuff I needed and soon had the cache in hand despite the muggles nearby.
I am not to upset by yesterday's DNF as there is not many days I do go out with the required stuff to find this cache.

I wont log a DNF for a drive by, don't these people ever leave this place, must have been 30-40 people near GZ sitting under the awning on Monday at 12.30pm will have to work out a time to come by to grab this one.

Came here today to introduce some Newby Cacher Friends to the past time, Pilgrim4096, This was our first cache of the day and one that had apparently given them trouble previously.

I looked here, I looked there...I looked in all the usual spots, but in the end I looked again with the aid of a torch, and there it was...but how to retrieve it? mmmm, I gave up as I had no tools and went off to the TB hotel cache nearby. Not far from there I spied a suitable bit of material, and fashioned something to assist in retrieving the cache.
So under the gaze of the wary bocce players the cache was soon in hand, thanks BB, very simple, yet very clever.

Note to all -on this cache I got questioned why I was tampering with public property by one member of the bocce club keep an eye out, cheers.
Saw it but didn't have my everything I needed so I'll come back tomorrow and log this as a DNF.
Had another go at this one today I had an idea were it is hidden i was correct going back home to make a retrieval device, cheers.
Add my DNF to the list. Spent a little time here today and thought I had made a discovery after about 5mins. My attempts to retrieve were fruitless so I took a picture and headed home. Alas, the CO later confirmed that whatever I had found was not the cache, so will have to return and search elsewhere.
Interesting problem, a few possibilities around GZ which means this is a clever hide.

interesting to note that the 2 finders of this one to date, have just over 200 finds between them and the DNF's have over 3000 between them, makes me think we are over caching if that is possible!
Had time to kill while geoson was at footie trainning. Searched all the likely spots but only had short period of time to find. So no luck this time but I'll be back.

We ran into the CO at a FTF a little while ago and discussed our DNF for this cache. We decided to take another look today after analysing the FTF log we thought we had this one sussed out but the idea we had was soon dismissed. Geoson suggested another idea but we tried it and it was also dismissed.
We had a rethink and retried one of our ideas and soon had CIH.

mmm spent some time here looking over everything at GZ, being a Blundo hide I knew It would be good, poked, prodded, pulled and moved everything I saw at GZ within a 3 mtrs of where the Phone was saying, took the hint, pulled out caching tools 1&2 under over again. no luck for me today. lots of muggles about due to soccer games but they took no notice of me and my boy. next time hopefully.
Dropped by and found someone sitting nearby. Waited for them to leave and looked but didn't find. Found an obvious spot that appeared empty, and some often used places that were also vacant. Felt a bit exposed with people still around so decided to finish. Will have to return sometime. Thanks.
