After all the DNFS, checked here and it looks like the area had been cleaned up and pushed on top of everything.Dropped a cache behind the tree. Have sent a photo to the CO about the location.TFTC
Unable to find. GZ is under a pile of dried mud and rock with a heap of rubbish as well. CO might need to check it.
A lovely winters day spent caching with family and a friend. Good hide helped by hint. With BBRXXE, Mackron72 and Anna.
Crookedpete and I were given leave passes from our respective families for the Easter long weekend for a geocaching road trip. I suspect that this was our families' Easter present to themselves to have a weekend alone without our company .
As members of The Bromance geocaching collective, we are a rather contrarian bunch, so while the main geocaching action was apparently up north over Easter we decided to instead head south from Brisbane. Our main focus was on caches with lots of favourites, good DT combinations, high elevation or sitting sad and neglected with no visitors for an extended period.
Crookedpete and I were both distracted by the hint and searched some remnants of an inner tube before focussing our attentions on something significantly more solid where we located the cache. Unfortunately the lid of the container was severely damaged which meant the cache was now home to a rather large family of shiny green beetles and a manky wet logbook (see image). The uninvited guests were evicted and the damaged cache container and its contents were discarded in our trash bag, and replaced with a temporary container and new logbook that we had on board for just such an occasion. Instead of heading north for Easter, Seffnjarah and I planned a long weekend road trip collecting interesting caches and doing some bushwalks as we meandered our way south to Armidale and surrounds.
After some scratchign around in the rubbish here, a damaged container, full to the brim of water and bugs was found. We decided to provide a replace the container and log. Lots of rubbish in this location, so a quick CITO of those recyclable containers was done.
Many thanks possum bugs 43

KTB and myself are on our way north to do a bit of hiking, but I have run out of favourite points. I don't usually stop off at roadside caches but this week I am changing that habit so as to try and bank a few FP in case they're needed. Which is how I came to be here. Upon arrival I was greeted with an awful stink and a bunch of flies, no doubt fitting for a spot littered with trash. I didn't want to linger so checked the hint... hmm nothing matching that, but KTB kicked a piece of trash and made the find.
The cache container is cracked and brittle, will need attention. I suspect that the location needs a little more attention.
I assume this location was different and likely more pleasant in 2016 however so I don't hold the CO accountable for my woes here today. Thank you for the cache, and of course for the +1 smiley.

Stayed overnight in Glen Innes and spending the morning in the Emmaville area before heading off to Tamworth for a few days. Spent a lovely few hours out this way exploring places that caching is taking us. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches and enhancing our visit.
Interesting story about the name!

Out and about caching today in the Emmaville district after driving from Glen Innes. Thank you to the CO's for the placement of these caches and bringing us to spots where you would otherwise drive past. Cache found, log signed and cache placed where found. TFTC
With a couple of hours to myself, and Emmaville & all its caches being so close, I made way here for some caching.
This was a quick find once the hint clicked & after searching in the obvious spot. Interesting history for this corner. TFTC!

We scared a very cute little bunny looking in our first search location. So sweet! After watching it hopping away we turned our minds back to looking for this unloved little cache. Geohubby trod in some mud and he was looking with his eyes and I noticed the cache was right at his feet. We had a laugh and opened the cache and signed the log. All good here. We rehid as per the clue. Thanks Possum Bugs 43!
Cheers and happy caching!

Doing some exploring around this area with ilook4geo and having a lot of fun too. We are making our way slowly further north, but not necessarily by a direct route, as following caches is much more interesting. Both names were written on each log found and all containers were replaced in their proper place before we moved on. Thank you to possum bugs 43 for placing this cache.
This was another really good caching day in company with goingplaces2. We found some good caches and signed each log. Our thanks go to each CO who placed the caches we found, as we enjoyed finding each one.
While in the Glen Innes area we travelled the locallity exploring the area and stopping for caches. This was one we targetted and found. On our day out to got to explore an old mining area in Ottery and also found a good place for lunch in Emmaville at the pub. Thanks to possum bugs 43 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
After getting to Glen Innes yesterday, it was time to do the caches around the immediate area. Out with Liz and Bruce for the last day bfore we part company. Great caches in the area and a few more klm logged in the car.

After being away for a short break over the Australia Day weekend and staying in Glen Innes it was time to head back to Brisbane. Emmaville was a nice little detour and this cache was along the way. We found the cache after checking everywhere else but the obvious spot.

Yesterday we spent the day hunting trig caches unsuccesfully but grabbed some on our way back through Torrington, and one almost next to our camp. So today on our second day in Emmaville we decided to attack all the town caches as well as this one. I didn't get at all tired searching for this one, and neither did Pa who came up with the find. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find possum bugs 43. Signed log and returned the cache to where it had been found.
Picking up some smileys while having a short break in Glen Innes on my trek back to QLD from the Mega. an easy find. TFTC.
We 'got the clue', but after a thorough search, looking in a number of tyres, and under many rocks, and in trees still could not find.
We are heading from Brisbane to Bright in Victoria, caching as we go, wherever it is safe to pull up with the caravan. We left Brisbane on 3rd Jan and dont have to be in Bright til the end of the month. Today's drive takes us from Deepwater to Guyra, via Emmaville. Just as we arrived in Emmaville, the geo app played up, so had to rely on gps only. Stopped for some fruit salad, but had to suffice with coffee and cache. Thanks possum bags
Found this one on our wee tour of Oz on the way to Armidale. Greetings from Scotland. TFTC
Was rather fascinated as to how this cache got its name. It was a good spot to park and we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks possum bugs 43.
Finally been able to get to Emmaville with my Geodog Scruffy to find these caches, which I noticed on the map a while back.
We really enjoyed finding these caches in and around this area.
'got the hint' but missed it, went back and looked again and there it was.
Very well placed.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Found on the way between Inverell and Emmaville, staying at Emaville caravan park, a beaut spot
As a regular visitor to Glen Innes these group of caches have always been a bit of a bain to me, I wanted to get them but never quite got here, with a couple of hours to spare today was the day to try and snare at least a few. Nice quick find here, walked to the area and when Rusty85 read the hint, cache was in hand immediately so a quick sign and off we went. TFTC
I have dried the cache out. The log book is dry.
It should be all good to go.

Found at 11:53 AM GAFF1.
The cattle came over to see what we were doing, but they were very skittish and jumped back at any sudden movement that we made. Wonder why they come over then?
Thanks possum bugs 43.
Feedback: The contents don't magically dry out - still very wet inside. Better do some maintenance

Cache found -contents were literally swimming inside cache. Dried out as best we could, and added new ziplock bag with temporary log sheet and banana rubber (in keeping with the theme). Replaced cache in a slightly drier position (still within hint). A quiet drive home via some scenic roads. TFTC
I was in the area for a few days and there were a couple of unloved caches in the Emmaville that I had decided to attempt and whilst I was at it I would grab the other nearby caches.
This was one such cache.
After pulling up nearby at a suitable parking spot, I walked to GZ and had the cache in hand shortly thereafter.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
Find #495.

Another good cache on a run to Emmaville, staying in Glen Innes for a couple of days on the way home from the mega event.
The grounds after the accident would have been interesting to see.
