Stopped in Berrima on the way back to Canberra Nice to go for this walk. TFTC NS
Missed the cache on the first search of the object and down was spiriling down a rabbit hole of where it could be hidden in other places around for the next good 10 minutes searching everyone. Eventually returned and found the cache in the obvious spot. Very nice walk and calm spot here. The day Afer an very early morning start to make the most of the day which I had for cacheing in the area, I struggled a bit with some caches (probably not quite awake) and was very happy when TikvaNZ reached out to meet up as 4 eyes find caches more than doublle as fast. We had an awesome day driving around Mittagong and Bowral finding all sorts of caches types and getting to see some beautiful corners of these towns. Our plans for a abseil and hike had fall trhough but we made the best of it and had a ball of a time finding caches up and down the road. Search 4 had joined us around midday and now we consolidated to one car and did another couple of hours of caches around Bowral. At this stage Search4 had departed for Canberra and Tikva and I went to get some more caches around Berrima before we departed ourselves back home after a cachefilled weekend. Thanks to all COs for the fun!!Thank you NationalSteel for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
#14656 12:00What a peaceful area next to the creek.Of course I first looked at the wrong seat ...TFTC
This was the second last cache find for the day with SD83 and Meritonnn . A lovely walk along a track that led us to the river's edge with lots of running water and a nice view . We zigzagged to an area which Apple indicated was GZ . On arrival to muggles were practicing their rock/abseiling against the rock wall face nearby. We quickly looked at the obvious spot which held the 2 muggles gear so we stretched the search further out without any luck . Even though SD83 had previously located it elsewhere a while back it became obvious it had been moved. So back we went to the spot we started the search - moving muggle gear to expose the cache exactly how the hint suggested it would be . TFTC NationalSteel
Our favourite vollage for a break heading south. Had a coffee and made our way dow, only to find a muggle sitting against the cache. After a while, he moved on, we moved in. Thanks NationalSteel.
On way to Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra this afternoon. Stopped in Berrima for a bite. Gotta burn it off by geocaching, TFTC
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Lovely location.
Ok, time to re-think this one. I have relocated it to a much less flood-prone position and changed to a micro. Coords to be updated soon, but in the meantime, why not have a seat - it's your right!

Visiting pretty Berrima.
This is a beautiful spot, enjoyed by quiet a few visitors today. We waited for a few to leave before beginning our search but we were interrupted a few more times.
No cache found today but we’ll definitely be back.

Stopped off in Berrima for a break while heading to Wollongong for the weekend. Decided to give this one another try after my 2014 DNF. Sadly I couldn't improve on that effort today, so there must be at least one nook or cranny I didn't check
Lovely to come back to this absolutely beautiful spot and finally put our hands on the cache. TFTC and a favourite point from me
When my wife said she fancied a trip down the South Coast via Tilba Tilba, one of my first thoughts was Great we can go to Berrima on the way down!
So return we did to the location of my X3 DNFs in 24 hrs last year. (Didn't feel great at the time, but later found it had gone missing)
So knew where abouts to look, wasn't quite where I'd thought, but within a metre. A quick find in one of the multiple spots I'd previously become intimate with on my first visits!
I do live these, rocky platform sites, with So many potential hiding spots.
Only negative....no platypus, but it was midday, and I've seen loads before, but not found this cache!
Thanks for replacing and maintaining this cache.
Definitely worth a fav point, for location and making us work for this point.

New container and log. If this one also gets washed away, I will consider placing it somewhere a little more flood-proof. But in the meantime, happy hunting!
Went back today with geo hubby, read all the activities last night lol , look at the photos, confident we would find it today but nah nah nah!!! Will be back don’t you worry !
2nd time back to this one. Came more prepared, earlier in evening, torch and Sydney mossie spray (That the local mossie's seems to find more of an aphrodisiac than a repellent!)
A long search, hand and arm into gaps and spaces I'd rather not have!
But after a long hunt still came up empty handed!
We've found a lot of caches on this trip, some hard, some easy, but this is the one I'll remember!
Hopefully back one day to put the DNF right

Needed one more DNF to maintain my Streak now at 3 days!
Having contacted the CO who confirmed I was hunting in the correct spot, thought I'd better give it one last go! So headed back for the third day in a row. Wifey decided to check out the local pottery shop (always has been the sensible one!)
Got in deep and dirty to where it should be, if its there its beyond my "Geocachabilities"
Buy Hey I can sleep sound tonight knowing I gave it my best shot, While maintaining my Streak!
Now to find the wife and see what this side trip has cost me?
Will monitor this one, and hopefully have success another day?

On a short break in the Highlands with Wifey, getting some caching in while enjoying the sites.
Tried this one yesterday
This is the type of terrain I love hunting in, but no luck today. Didn't have time for an extensive hunt plus a couple of local Muggles and dogs, one decided it was a good place to sit and drink a coffee!? It is Very picturesque But didn't he know I had a cache to find?
Will hopefully fit it another search today

Woah, such a lovely place, unfortunately can’t stay long but I would like to. That’s why geocaching is so good, you can explore all those local knowledge, fantastic. But on a somber note! Could not the cache!
Spent a bit of time checking in the likely places, but the GPS was jumping all around the place and the hint unfortunately suggested about 100 different locations.
A week off work and we are taking geocaching day trips from Sydney with the Southern Highlands our target for today. First stop in Berrima was the Magpie Cafe for an afternoon ally morning tea. Cute and delicious. Then down to the Quarry Path on the lookout for a geocache and platypus. Turns out we found neither but never mind. It was a chilly, drizzly day with winter not quite fully letting go to spring yet. The creatures were probably cozily tucked into their burrows. This container ma be doing the same and we just couldn’t find it. But we really enjoyed the walk; we were the only ones here today! We’ll be back. Cheers... Gaztek
What a peaceful spot.
I got to Berrima early and there was still a coolness in the air.
After parking just down from the church i had a nice short walk to the GZ.
It took me a couple of minutes but i ended up finding the cache with little difficulty.
As i was writing this comment i spotted a kangaroo across the river who lost its footing and fell over as it was trying to hop away. Ive never seen a clumsy kangaroo before.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

We're having a couple of days staying at the very nice Exeter Farm Stay.
Another patchwork diversion for the girls allowed me to wander off and find this one. I enjoyed the walk so much I took the others down there after meeting up again. Lots of little lizards and water monitors running around the rocks, enjoying the sunshine.
**Thanks for placing this cache NationalSteel**

With my new job in bush regeneration I get the perks of geocaching while on site fortunately the water level was low so I could cross to the other side. not a bad little find lots of little water dragons to keep me company there’s some blackberry nearby for me the most work on as my excuse for venturing too far lol tftc has no pen on me to sign as this was a spur of the moment ‘this seems like a geocaching spot’ scenario so wasn’t prepared and yes the little surprise inside got me too
A visit to town and a walk by the river, whilst not flowing very pretty. Found with the other half cjd79. TFTC
After spending most of the afternoon caching in the area we made our way here. Late afternoon & we hoped to spot the elusive platypus but none showed themselves. We did spy a bunny across the water. A nice walk to the cache, thoughtful placement of park benches, although we did not sit. Cache all in order, Tnsl TFTC NationalSteel xo

After dropping Geoson #2 at the station so he could get to work, I headed south so I could:
* finish off *Mystery at the Museum* - gotta get that vault open
* click over another hundred finds - mini milestone time
* up my calendar find for 30 June - 10 just isn't enough!
Went for fifteen caches and found them all. And there was some quality ones in there too.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Nice little wander by the creek.
Got close, the iPhone was still wanting a few more metres (as is often its wont), but I thought I was in a likely spot.
So I started checking.
Nice quick find.
Completed signing duties and replaced, then back to *The Hademobile*.

I had one child at a cub camp in Berrima and another doing a canoeing course in the Kangaroo Valley, so my wife and I stayed in Moss Vale for a weekend of caching. I had a DNF on this one back in April 16. It was good to replace it with a smiley. Thanks NationalSteel
Chooo ooo - found today with the wonderful company of dty73, Joolay and Kittykatch! Today we planned to head out to the Mittagong/Bowral area, and collect a few caches. It was an earlyish start, and we were on the highway well and truly by 8.30am. Love The Highlands - and this was a lovely spot! It took us way too long to find. Not sure why, but possibly, because the hint no longer applied. - We did try to resolve that but! Thanks NS.
Today was a great day out with awesome friends and some great caches. Tankengine, Joolay, Kittykatch and I planned a day of caching up north from home in a few of the smaller towns. We started at 8:30am and were home by 7:30pm. We had so much fun finding caches, seeing the sights, laughing and exploring. Thanks guys for a great day out and lots of laughs.
**THE CACHE** What a great spot. It was a lovely walk down the trail next to the cute little church. Then being down by the rocks on the bank of the river was such a sweet spot. It took us a little while to find this cache. The hint threw us, but the cache is in a logical spot really. Tftc NationalSteel!!!

Found with Joolay, dty73 and Tankengine on a cache run to Moss Vale. Took a little while but trust the coords. TFTC
I looked for about 20 mins under all the big rooms but clearly not the right one. I'll be baaaack!
NationalSteel I found your cache What, Me Quarry? on 29/12/18, 11:30 am. This is my find 2212 and find # 3 today. Really hot day, found the general area, had a quick scratch around without finding it. Resorted to message the CO and last finder Mizmaz for some help. Thanks for the quick response, found it in the area I was looking but not as thorough as I thought. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Needing some numbers for an end of year tally, targeted four more of the Highland trails and, with a few extras in the area, knocked off 62 smileys in today’s heatwave. Most GZs were within a few metres of the car’s aircon so coped ok but I had “recon’d” this GZ a few weeks ago during an unsuccessful attempt amid other dnfs and convinced myself it should still be a manageable walk (on return to a hot car, unable to cool down quick enough before feeling nauseous and dizzy, I realised I was mistaken). However, with CO now confirming cache was indeed in situ and worthy of the effort, I consoled myself I had now cleared Berrima of my last remaining icon.
After a nice quick but hot walk, we arrived at GZ. A quick look around and cache was soon in hand. Nearby muggles didn't foil our attempt at claiming the smile as we talked about how tempting the water was, alas no splash for us as my geo buddy was starting to feel the effects of the climbing heat. A slow walk back to the car and across the road to the amenities for a cool off and we were good to go
Checked up on this one today.. all fine and where it's supposed to be. Enjoy!
OCW marj01. Here we looked on two different levels among the rocks without luck. PAF and still no luck.
After many years of regular visits to Berrima, this is my first as a Geocacher, and my first walking this pretty path. Gorgeous spot! TFTC
This one took a while... so many potential hidey holes. Did a quick systematic search and came up with nothing. Then I got serious and got down on the ground searching every crevice in detail. Eventually I spotted it in a place that I'm sure I searched at least 3 times, and put the first entry on the new log.
Logbook replaced and a pathtag keychain left to encourage the next finder. Enjoy!
Found some other geocachers searching for this one. Took four heads a while but got there in the end!! TFTC
A sneaky hide, with the Garmin wanting me to enter the river, I thought better of it, and put my efforts into looking, took some while, but eventually found by literal interpretation of the clue. The log is full. Beautiful location, not lucky enough to see a platypus, but did enjoy a flock of yellow-tailed black cockatoos flying overhead in the late afternoon. The cache brought me to a lovely spot that I would not have known about otherwise, deserving of a favourite from me. TFTC NationalSteel
On our way to Belanglo, we made a detour to grab a few others first. Nice walk from the last one to the quarry. Took us a long time, as the GPS went around in circles. Eventually MrD uncovered the sneaky hide. Who put that peg in there? TFTC
A pleasant little walk down to this one. Took a lot longer to find than expected despite good coords.

Travelling home from the mega, time for some more liesurely caching. Nice stroll, no platypus for us today but scored a cache. Tftc
I need to see my optician, gps within 1 metre and could not see it, went from river edge to underneath head bumping rock n either side...... old age has crept up!!
after a refreshment stop at a lovely nearby café we wandered down here in the heat for this cache. as others have before us we admired the view of the river from the general gz area. there was no one around which was lucky as the gps had us hopping all over the place. I managed to crack my head on a rock outcropping and narrowly missed tumbling into the creek while my caching companion chortled at my misfortune ( not before asking after my health which was a nice gesture). I just didn't want to give this one up and eventually spotted an obvious hiding spot where the cache lay waiting for us to sign. this is a lovely spot thank you for bringing us here Nationalsteel. now it must be time for an icecream....

After failing to find the puzzle cache nearby, we turned to a traditional so that this detour off the highway was not wasted. This one gave us a nice little walk, and a fairly quick find. We only had to look in a few spots before we found it.
Thanks

Toriaz and I diverted off the highway as we headed north, and home. We decided to do the complete short loop from our car to find this cache. There was an old couple sitting on a bench when we got to the area, but they decided to move almost immediately upon our arrival. We found the cache and then continued on the loop. As we arrived back at the car we saw the old couple coming the other way on the shorter length of the loop - they were old - which made me feel a little bad that our presence had encouraged them to move. Thanks
