After a few dnfs came to check on cache while in the area. Found it in the expected place missing its lid and missing its logbook, instead of general maintenance I've decided to take the cache home with me to do some reconstruction to try make the cache better for the future. Look out for it soon!
Spent a while at this location and couldn't find anything. A cool little spot, but shame about the litter We decided that given this was our first visit, we should return at a point when we've leveled up our tracking skills!
Getting late in the day. Bumped my head on to many pointy broken limbs. Time to regroup.
DNF with Rabbitto. It took us a little while to narrow down just where the cache was supposed to be and in the end we were very confident of our location, but the cache refused to reveal itself, and we fear that it has fallen again although we looked there too.
Loved the concept of this one and once we worked out what the hint meant for us to do, we spent a fair bit of time scouring that spot but could not find anything out of the ordinary.
Looked for a little while and found nothing obvious. I agree with the previous log; looks as if a tree might have fallen on top of it...
Couldn't find this one amongst the wreckage of a huge fallen tree, which appears to have fallen into the hillside, and right across the area of the hide
Found 3:07pm , find # 2229
This morning we visited the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery with some friends to see the finalists in the Archibald Prize for 2013. After lunch in Mornington, we visited a few local caches to introduce our friends to caching.
This was find number 1 of 4 for the afternoon.
We found this one to be very tricky, and we were just about to give up when I reread the cache description and noticed a particular attribute.
This attribute made the hint more meaningful and the cache was soon in hand.
Eva produced some tweezers and we were away.
Thanks Ikkibrady.

Took the kids but only let them go as far as the fence line - looked everywhere =- can we have a hint please
Completed at the end of a caching trip with Hoon1 and Ogrebeast. Found cache had fallen from great height. Located and unfortunately (for Hoon1) he had to return to the car for a pen and tweezers to sign the log. Had been speaking to CO earlier in the night - as he is a great personal friend of Hoon1, decided we needed to end the night with a IkkyBrady Cache. Thanks for challenging the members of the team that are infact height challenged and a litte scared of heights. Had this cache described to me by Hoon1, as a definate Ikky Brady Cache... TFTC.
Down this way late today and with a little time, so a cache was in order.
after a short search the hide was found TFTC SL

I had looked for this cache twice, both times giving myself plenty of time, reading the description page carefully, etc etc. Both times, I had walked away empty-handed. In fact, I had to keep reminding myself of the old caching adage: "The more you believe a cache to be missing, the more likely it is to be found by the next cacher."
This time, I tried again, on a stormy Saturday morning. This had two advantages: 1) It was daylight. I truly don't think one could find this cache at night. & 2) The inclement weather meant that the beach was dead quiet, so I didn't have to even pretend to be subtle!
Anyway, clambered up & down, round & round, poking and prodding and hunting. After 10 minutes, all I could think about was the coffee waiting for me in a warm cafe up the hill. I had one more flash of inspiration, and glanced around before laying eyes on what could only be the cache! Finally! Signed log very delicately, then replaced where I had found it, and happily wandered off to my reward (See pic.)
Thanks for the cache, and the headache!

DNF. second time looking for this one with still no luck... must be a tricky camo. I'll have to bring mum down with me next time for a second pair of eyes
Team xambo4u is out today spending a day of rest at Mornington, having just spent 2 days of solid hard work at sons newly acquired house of needing reno's. We look at it as a new area of caching to done. Feelling like the real tourist we grabbed an icecream and strolled down the beach. Got to GZ and with the rating assessed that Mrs X would be doing the climb. Checking out all 3 options lying there I thought that I had had it with discovering a cluster of silver painted gum nuts. I was sorely disappointed. Mr X rang a friend with no success. Accepting defeat I decended (very much against the grain). While Mr X consults the logs something caught me eye on the ground not 4 feet away. In saying, "now that is the odd one out" and picking it up, bingo. Just about to sign it off we were joined my a father and daughter who we quickly discovered were new kindered spirits. Shared our joys on of the game replaced the cache at where we thought it should be. Great to meet you Squirellzz , hope to meet up with you again and that you continue enjoy the game.
After quite a search, we found it with mazza-g and our companion TB Peter Linskey TFTC, Now time for a coffee!
Our third DNF of the evening! Bit disappointed. To be honest, I don't think we had anywhere near a good enough look. It was a very warm evening, and the beach was packed, so we had a quick look, shook our heads, and moved on. Will be back when it's quieter, don't you worry about that!
That was a tough one! Just about to give up when we thought something odd. With penpolpals from Cornwall UK. As well as the travel bug Peter Lynskey on his own scout jamboree
Ive been meaning to do this one of ikkibradys for a while. Had an awesome time collecting this one and i highly recommend it. tftc
found this cache today while heading to the playground with leaf muncher, awesome cache!

Cache was still there, despite best efforts tried to remove old log but couldn't so instead pushed it as far into cache as possible and as loosely as possible put a new log on top. If any future finders want to have a crack at removing the old log please do. Otherwise It's now loggable and ready to hide from a new batch of finders
Found this one a while ago, but was unable to log it as the log book was in very bad condition and every time I tried to grab it some chunks of paper came off. I can provide details on the cache for proof, and will log as soon as the cache is restored.
Visited the site I the dark of the night. Cache is still in place waiting to be found again. Keep looking, need help just ask
With my Son In Law, Imapom, off in search of this cache.
Very warm day, lots of people on the foreshore, left Mrs one-eyed and our Daughter Mrs Imapom on the seats waiting for an ice cream on our return, we set off in search of the cache.
He went one way I went another, but both ending up at the same co-ords.
It appears as if lots of heavy rain has washed away the area , so had to settle for an ice cream.
It may need a look see to ensure the cache is still there.

It is probably there but the teenages had moved in to enjoy a day of love in the bushes so the bananas thought it appropriate to pass this one by. Perhaps next time.
I would suggest refreshing the log if possible. current log is a little damp and is falling appart as well as ink is running from water damage. otherwise its a great find
Nature does provide fantastic playgrounds, 3 generations of cachers got together to make this find. Great location but log in poor condition. TFTC
Dad's find but 13yo JordyRocks says "effing bar stud" great camo. Great hide. TFTC. Couldn't get log sheet out. Might need replacement
The start of another brilliant TDC (The Demolition Crew) run which saw us travel from central Melbourne all the way down to Mornington, collecting over 30 finds for the night. Some great caches and great company. We were 4 up for a while being myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts, some hard-hitters there to be sure... But Q had to part company early in the night, to head to Brisbane in his new Prado for family matters. My first time caching with Rebel Acts, and what a fantastic bloke, and a fantastic night had by all. Really enjoyed how the team worked all together, it was a lot of fun.
TR and Rebel made the walk out before me, but we all ended out there somewhere. A bit of adventure here, and some good cache construction. Fav point given. TFTC.

Another Monday night comes around and I have just arrived back from a great non-caching weekend near Benalla. Blacklegend is on his way down from Tocumwal and is ready to roll on a great route planned for The Demolition Crew. As Quasar3671 is moving north to Brisbane later tonight, the crew only have a few hours together for what was to be a great night's run down to Mornington.
With Quasar3671 having to leave at about 8 pm, the third spot for the night appeared out of the blue in the form of RebelActs who was looking to do some night caching on his own before he called me and asked to join in. Absolutely I say, and he is soon on the way to Seaford to catch us there. The run started in central Melbourne with the members of TDC who hadn't collected Magnum Opus signing the log (All the members of TDC have now complete the Danozz puzzle series!).
This cache was one of the caches I signed tonight. This was a little tricky especially signing the log while balancing, but signed it was! thanks

After swimming lessons with my oldest boy Tyler we had some lunch then my two boys and I headed to Mornington to grab a couple of caches in the area. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and the boys had a run around before we started to search for the cache. With no muggles about we had no troubles with the hunt, just trying to find the hide was the challenge. After a good five minutes I spotted a possible hide and it turned out to be right. Sneaky indeed. TFTC.
We had wanted to do this one so when a small break in the weather occurred we headed over and soon found a path to the beach ( the rain did ensure no muggles today). With conditions being slippery we took it easy on seeing where we had to get to. Once at the right elevation we spied the likely camo and reach over to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. An excellent bit of camo. TFTC.
Found after getting the hint and seeing something very out of place great hide. We got to without tweezers thanks to my small fingers. Signed the log.
Found at 2:38 PM GAFF5 in the company of BettyBoo3747, maccamob, Phetlern and Robmc.
Gosh - that is one sneaky and difficult hide that's for sure. The co-ords were not quite pointing in that direction and if it wasn't for the clue we would probably be still there searching all over. Phetlern made the "observation" and the cache was then immediately dropped to the ground
Thanks Ikkibrady

# 1338. Caching today with Robmc, Pprass, Phetlern and Maccamob. I like these types of hides. Even when you find them you keep thinking how clever their camouflage is. TFTC
We walked up and down a bit before finding the pathway down to the beach. Once we had walked past the SSS Seafire, we found our search location. We spread out all thru the tree, but it was Phetlern who eventually came up with the sneaky hide. (He also located my GPSr after I had dropped it! - Thanks Peter).
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.

We joined with BettyBoo3747, Maccamob, Pprass and Robmc for a day of caching on the eastern side of the bay. We followed the instructions and entered the search area from the beach, each person following their own instinct. Encouraged to keep going P-P asked the magic question - 'Why is?' Yes that was it - a very sneaky hide on an intriguing stage.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Ikkibrady.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Robmc, BettyBoo3747, pprass and phetlern, at 1440. We couldn't see the beach access when we parked, but soon spotted the path once we were on foot. Once at GZ, there seemed to be several levels from which to search. While most of us took the low road, Peter of Phetlern took a different approach and soon had the cache in hand. A good hide! Our thanks to Ikkibrady.
Took about 10 mins and some clever thinking and climbing, but thanks to smilingbob success

As today was International Geocaching day, this obsession demands that I search out Tupperware and to help with this task i was accompanied by caching partner in crime, ahomburg. The focus today was the Mornington region as both of us had not found many in this region before. Today was also a typical 4 seasons in one day with rain then wind then sunshine and so on. This day also saw me walk around 10+ km's which I think could be a record for me.
A very well constructed cache and it took awhile to realized what the hint was all about. The D/T combo I would say is about right for this one. Credit to ahomburg for realizing the cryptic hint. Do take care at GZ and as recommended approach GZ from the breach. TFTC Ikkibrady A great hunt and a very satisfying find. Took around 15mins to finally have cache in hand.

Find # 1980
Well, a drizzly Saturday morning, so why not another cache run with my caching partner in crime, sedgwickDave. Today was international Geocaching day, so we wanted to make sure we made the most of it. We decided to head towards Mount Martha, then north towards Mornington.
Continuing on our walk along the coast, this cache was next. What can I say, WOW, what a great hide, not for everybody I guess, but the moment when the hint clicked was fantastic. A great spot, especially from GZ. A favorite for this one.
Thanks to Ikkibrady for the hide.

Hmmm, after reading more field notes, i dont think i climbed high enough, will be back, thanks for the hunt anyway.
Didn't find it. Seemed to be looking in a most likely spot. Eventually had to retreat due to rain.
Found with Roostaman on a big day out caching around the area. A nice spot and a truly evil hide, took us a few mintes to locate. TFTC
Found with Rebel Acts on another nice day for a caching run around the area.
We were not expecting this area to search when we arrived, but the D/T rating is true.
We were almost stumped here until the tricky hide was spotted and Rebel managed to retrieve it.
A favourite for sure and a hide well worth copying if I can find a similar spot. TFTC,
Roostaman.

I labled this one "Cheap entertainment for C@H" in my field note.. after dodging the landmine on the trail on the way in, he looked up here and said somthing along the lines of "where is ya GPS pointing?" and "watch out for the butcher bird" I made my way in, then out then in again before finding the object for which we were discussing just 30 mins prior.. Thanks Ikkibrady for the cheap entertainment and the hide.. myfind # 2476
Cache needs minor repairs ASAP - however cache is still good to go. Will contact CO off line
Three of us spent quite a while looking for this cache, but couldn't find it. Perhaps you'd better check to see if it's still there. Thanks anyway.
This was a great location for a visitor to see. We spent ages looking for it, but it was nowhere to be found by us. Thanks anyway,.
3 pairs of eyes and no find. Bexta, Nufrat and myself looked everywhere... Just as we had given up hope and started leaving we saw the remains of a little bonfire and I thought 'mmmm I hope there's not a melted box in there'
Really enjoyed looking for this one. A nice beach and some fun exploring.
Really enjoyed looking for this one. A nice beach and some fun exploring.
What an awesome area!!! Had loads of fun even though we walked away without a smiley, out on a cache raid in the mornington peninsula with Nufrat and Grunterssms. We spent a lot of time at this location, climbing, searching, checking logs and the hint, alas another cache that slipped out of our grasp today.
Found between attempts at another local cache. Stumped us a bit till we saw it staring us in the face. TFTC
In retrospect my GPS had GZ as a starting point from which to follow the clue! This is the second one like this that has caused me confusion. And I forgot my tweezers -ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL- and I might have forgotten to close the lid -OOPS! Hope there is no rain! Thanks Ikkabrady for the cache and the extra nudge.
What fun this was! Arrived at the cache in the dark and preety quickly found it was up the tree somewhere. Climbed up and down for a while searching with no luck. I tried clambering up the dirt wall, only hanging on by some roots and got to the top. No sign of the cache! Ended up having to climb all the way up to the road and back down the path to the beach before I could let the GPS get its bearings and look at the hint. We kept looking all around until I had an idea. Found it! Then had to balance on a branch with tweezers to extract the log, clutching a torch between my teeth. Eventualy signed it and got it back in place.
I really love caches like this! Thanks Ikkybrady for a wonderful nighttime adventure.[^]

We arrived at the GZ comming down the hill and got scatched up from the thorn bushes everywhere. After getting to the GZ, the clue did not make sence, however after a phone a friend option was had, the cache was soon in hand. I can see that scouts would like to play in here its a great spot. Thanks ikkibrady. TFTH...SL....TNLN
Bloomin' Ikkabrady! I went round in circles for one at Dromana! GPS had me right on the coordinate spot.. but the clue made little sense and all I felt was being led up a (not a gum) tree. And TrudyJane's eagle eye was not working today.
upped the terrain and difficulty rating based on dnfs and comments of those who found it. thanks to the finders so far for the positive comments and favourite points. much appreciated. happy hunting.
Read the clue and it became an easy find until then it was not looking good. TFTC
Well Ikkibrady, you excelled this time! Had it not been for the perseverence, agility and athleticism of our new friend hippihiiri we might not have had a Find here (maybe that's a spoiler, but then maybe a spoiler is needed?). Very imaginative hide. Hippihiiri had it in hand at 5.55 pm after a long and very determined search, Mr D2 (very small log, dimunitive used) eyeballed it to justify the Find. We've said it before, elsewhere, that perhaps the stars should have an age weighting, what's 2 1/2 for a younger person is more for a senior!?! That's an observation, not a gripe. TNLN (you can't, can you!)SL. Then we went on to complete the Discoverers Walk at sunset. Great day of quality caches, thank you.
I think I first had a little thought somewhere deep in my head where it is but as I didn't follow the thought it took forever and a day to find this one . I also don't know why we didn't give up with this one as it seemed we wouldn't find it. It was already getting a bit dark and I decided to give it one more try and there it was! Ha! Thanks for a clever hide. Greetings from Finland! A fun caching day with Dicksontwo.
I spent a bit of time cursing spikey bushes again today ... My Garmin Montana seemed to be pointing to the same general area, but my Garmin nuviphone was having very different ideas!
I had some idea of what I was looking for, having found similar in the area, but I kept reading too much into the hint, with my own placement of pauses in the prose giving very different clues for direction and limbs.
Frustrated, was shortly about to leave, when I spied the likely hide from about 15 metres away, back where the Montana had been leading me. Found!
As I climbed the tree back down to the beach, I was watched by a woman with a stroller, who asked me whether I had found anything. Being cautious, "yes," I replied, "lots of things!"
"Where is it?" was a further frustrated response, obviously another cacher. Thus I met with Dummydust. Apparently she had been here before with her husband and failed to find it, though she had the right idea of the hide.
Not knowing me well enough, I suppose, she decided not to ask me to look after said stroller and child while climbing in there herself to retrieve the cache, but returned later in the day with help!
TFTC and a beautiful place to visit in this fine weather.

Spent a while looking and think we got the location but even the hint didn't help.
@ 6.50am Cache #789
Thought I'd come and have a look for this cache as I was up early for Morning paddle and was very intrigued by the terrain level
Arrived near GZ to find the place abuzz with people launching boats
My first search of GZ had me doubting the co-ords. Widened the search area but kept coming back to the same area. I was about to call it a DNF when I saw fresh tracks coming down the hill. Hmmm this must be the right spot and sure enough with a bit more attentiveness the cache was found
Oh beaten again by what I expect was hrs, but maybe not as I passed CatH on the way to Flinders
Thx Ikkibrady not bad for a SeaScout
Cheers

Thought I'd come and have a look for this cache as I was up early for Morning paddle and was very intrigued by the terrain level

*FTF* My phone made a early beep and I took a look at the screen to see a new cache not too far away. I made a cup of tea and grab a few things before heading out the door and off to GZ. At GZ my GPS had a good idea of where it wanted me to go but getting there was not so easy with no help from it being pitch black. Soon I found a place that looked like a good place to be and my GPS agreed. I also had a good idea of what to look for and soon I spotted it. I opened the log book to find an expectant clean page ( who else would be out at this time) and signed my name before leaving at around 4:30AM. Thanks for a clever hide and nice terrain.
