Temuka Guides - out and about in Geraldine . Couldn’t find it - off for an ice cream
When I first saw this cache I was convinced it must have by the tree across the road. It had always caught my attention because of the way it leaned. In fact I even searched around it one day, the cache wasn't on my GPSr so I didn't realise until afterwards that I was totally in the wrong spot. Then I decided it must be in another spot which didn't look very inviting so I put it out of my mind as one I wouldn't bother looking for with my children.
Then tonight I was in town by myself and I thought way not have a look. Except there was a van parked right there. So I proceeded to walk past it and wait and then come back to get in my car but they were leaving so out again to grab it.
Nice short walkway, easy to find cache. Parking at the other end is more child friendly.
Thanks for the cache.

Heading Christchurch after overnight in in Omarama.
Perfect timing as was able to meet up with my sister in law to be as she headed to Twizel and pass over some beautiful apricots I picked up for her in Roxburgh yesterday. (My brother would eat them and would possibly forget to take when he goes up later in the week).
A wee bit of a rummage (lots of green at this time of the year) had the cache I hand.
It's a tiny bit damp but nothing major that needs attention.
Thanks for the smilie Bitsprayer.

Quick coffee stop on Geraldine. Travelling north and had to get off SH1. Lots of calling cards in here but didn't recognize any names. Must be a South Island thing. TFTC.
Last time I was here it was hosing down and the water was rushing down the path. This time, lovely weather and a quick grab. Cheers
Maybe my last find in NZ as I’m heading to the airport now for Australia then home to UK in December

NQF here at GZ. We wouldn't have done this in Australia where we were a few weeks ago! TFTC and greetings from the UK
We made this one a slightly longer walk than a simple P&G. We walked up the road and the cache was found with little problem.
Continuing our journey across the country before diverting up to Peel Forest. Short walk along the road to this one
After attending the Oamaru Geofeast we are now heading back to Christcurch. Caching with Di Morgan and grabbing a few caches along the way.
Thanks Bitsprayer for placing the cache for us to find.

Up from Mosgiel on a caching binge in Geraldine. Nice easy find. Beautiful weather and a beautiful spot. TFTC
I found this cache on the 7 July but just getting round to logging it today. Nice quick cache once I had parked the car and strolled over. Cheers
Took some effort but spotted it eventually. When I was putting it back I turned around to see two people out for a stroll watching me from across the road... Dum di dum...
I'm not cut out for this stealthy stuff

Easy find as I was on a wee road trip south. Log is damp and will need replacing soon. No trackable just damp cards. Tftc
Had to wait for a couple of muggles to pass before making the find. This was the last of 5 finds on my quick little circuit. Thoroughly enjoyed it, so did geo-dog. Thanks for placing
Another great day of sightseeing on the South Island in New Zealand, this was day 7 of our 22 day trip. We were making our way from Christchurch to Queenstown today and had the chance to stop at 3 fantastic earthcaches. Each so different from the other.
We saw our first braided river, something we had never seen before....although from researching we understand there are some in Alaska so we might need to check that out next year when we are there.
We saw 2 lakes that took your breath away because of there stunning beauty and sheer size, Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki.
And we saw some/most of Mount Cook lthough the summit was unfortunately cloud covered and Mother Nature just wouldn't give up a glimpse of her today.
This was our first real view of the complete difference between the north island and the South Island, it is as if they are totally different countries both amazing and stunning in there own right. Thank you to the CO's for placing these caches for us to find they all deserve and will be getting a little blue ribbon.

On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.
Thanks for the hunt .. kids enjoyed the adventure we left pinky pie for little girl adventurers
Spending a rainy day in Geraldine before continuing our bicycle trip, and naturally we have to log a few caches . Tftc!
Found during a short pitstop in Geraldine. After a short search the container was found.

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. Day 6 - Wednesday - Ashburton to Tekapo today.
Stopped here for a break and a welcome ice cream as its so hot traveling. Well have to do the cache as well. Council workers asked if we had found it, so was well muggled. The Seagnoid had a yak with them while I snagged and tagged the cache. This friendly man knows where a few of our hides are and checks them. What a great guy. TFTC Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 6: Ashburton to Tekapo.
Stopped off for an ice cream - seem to be doing that every day. Too much summer. Anyway we decided to cross the road and grab a local cache. Had to dodge a couple of muggle council contractors, but it turns out we did a lousy job. One of bowled us up - " *Did you find it?* " Yeah, that bowled us! Turns out he is not a geocacher, but he knows where the local caches are and checks on them occasionally.

Walked to this past another cache and had no luck but with this one there it was leaning TFTC
We did a journey all around NZ and had an amazing time. The country is absolutely beautiful und we loved our time here. Geocaching was also a good method for us to discover some lonely places, which were also very beautiful.
I had to visit the supermarket for supplies and discovered that this cache was not far away. Nice quick find. The log is damp but in overall fairly good condition. TFTC.
A quick walk to gz and didn't take long to spot the cache. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc Bitsprayer. Find # 3565
