There are no alternative appropriate locations available now for this evil cache.

Sorry to those who were looking at returning or a second or third attempt!

Another evil cache will pop up one day to replace this one!!

Cache check. The area surrounding GZ has yet to be cleaned up after the vandals.

01-Feb-13
really disappointed that this one has been vandalised as I have created the tool and have been waiting for the right opportunity to grab it.

30-Jan-13
The area at GZ has been vandilised and the cache cannot be accessed safely.

Have removed cache for now until the area is fixed.

I really hope that this wasn't the work of a recent cacher(s) because there are definite signs that it could have been!!!

The 2 most recent logged finds have been removed as they aren't on the cache log.

Well, having done a x 30 cache streak yesterday I knew I'd need to bring the stats back up a bit again, and hoped this would do a bit of it.
Thought I'd found the right spot, and retrieved a LOT of rubbish - a dozen bottles, and a dozen+ balls. Only to realise when I got home and am logging this DNF that I was close, but NOT in the right spot. Was going to suggest a joint CITO event for the cache GZ, but seems it is just a little way away from where you need to be.
May be back some other time!

I was first here in June, when I walked away very confident of the location, but with tools that were inadequate for the job. Finally got a chance to come back with an array of options. With my wife in tow, we worked away. At one point I saw a neighbour suspiciously eyeing us from nearby. Rather than waiting him out, I went an introduced myself. He's seen quite a few people have a go at this location, without knowing what it was - he was suspicious it was some kind of drug drop. Anyway, he came and joined us for a few minutes before giving up (he'll never be a cacher Smile ). After 30+ mins of trying a few options, and changing our tools, we had that wonderful moment, and had the cache in hand.

Great cache - I have no problem with it requiring your own tools based on its difficulty.

13-Oct-12
This so much easier when you come with someone who has found it before and has the tools. SL #592 TFTC PS the coords were way out, might need checking.

05-Oct-12
Our solution worked. Smile

04-Oct-12
First visit here and despite a small array of tools with us we didn't have quite the right thing. We will be back. BTW we find those Munzee cards that someone is putting out take some of the fun out of geocaching. They give the game away more than a little.

16-Sep-12
Armed with a new tool this was almost a drive by. We did the first try to recover the cache, adjusted the tool accordingly and had the cache in hand soon after. SL and replaced the cache. Happy to have this one off the list!
Thanks Blundo Busters for the challenge!

15-Sep-12
Looked for the tool mentioned by previous loggers to no avail. Would not be surprised if CO removed it to maintain the difficulty rating. Or we just didn't find it? Anyway, we know what we need and we will come back soon to finish this one off.

15-Sep-12
Yes, due to previous cachers leaving extraction tools behind, and effectively lowering the difficulty rating.

The fun is all in locating the cache and then going through the options for retrieval.

Cache on!

14-Sep-12
We attempted this one in our first week of caching and were unsuccessful at that time. I had an idea at the time but had no idea how to remove the cache.... If it indeed was where I thought it was.
After seeing some recent activity and noting the tool that had been left behind, we decided to drive over and try once again.
I tried to get kids to help but they weren't interested tonight so there was GeoMum helping to balance GeoDad who was standing on the remains of a kids trike with a torch in one hand and the tool in the other trying extract the cache
Got there in the end, retrieved log and took to car to sign. TFTH and TFTC BB

Thanks to Team Canary & Rainbow Spirit for leaving the very handy tool.

My first 4 and 1/2 difficulty and I was very grateful for the tool left nearby after reaching GZ. Found with HappyPaintball CaitCat17. SL TFTC

Found great hide TFTC! Smile

06-Sep-12
Found tonight with Tha Flava and geo daughter caitcat17 glad it was night time other wise it would have looked quite funny to any one walking past..... Glad to cross this one off the list thanks BB your hides can be both fun and infuriating at times Smile

My last find for the day. During the day I had been making contact with Team Canary, and he made mention that he was heading this way later in the day to put his DNF to rest at this cache. So we arranged to meet here so we could both make amends for our two DNFs. Canary brought a tool I had made and left at another cache in the area, I supplied a step ladder. With his previous recce we soon had the cache in hand.

By the way, we left the tool near GZ, if the cache is giving you the *hits, look near the *hit hole for it.

Thanks BB, we had fun....

24-Aug-12
I came prepared, with a tool and a friend. We soon had the cache in hand.

TFTC.

1215, GAFF3, After around an hour of searching we were not going to let this one beat us. We eventually located the hide and had to figure out how to retrieve it.

We went back to the Geomobile to get some tools. After some ingenuity was required, we made up an appropriate implement to grab it. After around 5 minutes and some minor adjustments to the tool we managed to have CIH.

SL, cache in good condition, we returned it to it's hiding spot awaiting the next poor soul.

31-Jul-12
Well technically I did find it! But I sure didn't get to sign it!?!

I shall return with a tool!

14-Jul-12
Wow this was tricky – so faced with only a couple of options at GZ it was down to choice. The question was how to make it? Proposing - which I did a long time ago so again it was down on one knee before my geo-wife, who then climbed up on the other, to have a better look. So now the options were one, and back to the geo-mobile to source the required tool for extraction. Once the tool was carefully fashioned it did the job nicely and soon we were signing the log. Well done Blundo Busters Big GrinBig Grin.

Arrhhh the Prison Break cache...we had heard lots about this one & knew that tools were required so we came equipped with what we thought would do the trick...can't say that we have had to a retrieve a cache this way before but it worked & we soon had CIH...this is definitely a different type of hide...just wish I could share our photos as they are quite funny but it would spoil the hide...well done BB...T4TC Big GrinBig Grin

This find required quite a mixture of skills, attributes, patience, ingenuity from the 3 night amigos. A very tough retrieve after straight forward find.
Glad we had SiH's caching tool chest with us.

I have returned this sarvo with a new caching tool and I call it cache retrieval tool n# $+!(2 ....Ok so was I was busted by the c/o and even he could not retrevie the cache with my new tool so.in the end I had to go after spending 45mins.
So tonight I return this time with two helpers and a new tool to help. After useing the assistant tool and my helpers I was clear why I had not been able to retrive the cache earlier today. So with that we concentrated on a new location and with a little bit of tung holding on the right side I soon had CIH.
I SL and passed on to my fellow helpers.
Thanks guys and thanks Blundo.
Oh and I put back where the c/o wanted it.

So PPE and I meet up with Steveishere, who had been here previously found the cache, but had issues extracting it. So I got to GZ and made the find pretty much straight away...Oh...how to get it now.... Then SIH came with his trusty caching tool #432 and we set about to retrive it. One by one we all tried and then after a little tweaking, SIH had the cache in hand, or is that cache in tool Big Grin We marvelled at the cache, SL and then replaced it again. Nice one BB, and definately ned to be stealthy as well. Neighbours may get nosey if you're loud. TFTC

A brief reconnaissance of GZ. Can see something but not sure if it's IT. Will come back soon.

12-Jun-12
Second time looking for this cache except this time we came prepared after reading some of the found logs, we had a bit of a idea what and how to get this cache and we made a tool that would come in handy. So after using the tool for about 5 minutes with no luck, we did some modifications to the tool and soon had the cache in hand. Whats this? A cache in a cache with things attache to it and a well designed cache. Great hide BB, thanks for the cache.
Cheers

Ok so I will post this dnf but how are you supposed to get it if you haven't got the cacheing tool n# 101? Oh and the neighbour is getting a little bit sus.
I'll be back.

Short story - 99% think I know where it is, but despite having a few tools and bits of equipment couldn't extract

Long story - almost straight away checked out a particularly promising area, but couldn't spot the cache, nor did it match the hint. We wandered around looking at lots of areas, poked at many pieces of rubbish left around and peeked under fences, down drains etc.

Eventually read all the logs, and decided that hint #1 might be a bit misleading, and the hint #2 matched somewhere we had looked. Had another look there and think we spotted it - but given that it is a long way from where we live, I might ask the CO if we are right before we come back.

30-May-12
I new it was there but how to get at it a bit of imagination was need and soon had cache in hand, nicely done.

28-May-12
Browngang and I met the CO at this cache and enjoyed a bit of a chat. We managed to locate the cache but lacked the type of tool that was needed to extract it. maybe next time.

28-May-12
We were just about to be muggled when lo and behold,,,, it was the cache owner. We did end up seeing it, I had looked there but not closely enough. We just didn't have the tools for retieval to sign the log. I have found one similar to this where the tools where at the first part of a multi and you had to take the tool to the final for retieval. I thought traditionals didn't need specialised equipment if they weren't in the cache description. Maybe we didn't see it either?
Cheers from Browngang

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 43.617 E 150° 54.805

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 43.617 E 150° 54.799

Distance from original: 30.3 feet or 9.2 meters.

Visited GZ this morning, only to find 2 friendly cachers, who were searching.

I stood at GZ and left them to it, which is within 2m of the leaning wattle tree.

Seems the Easterly coord is out, depending on which direction you approach. It is now adjusted.

Please be aware that all GPS units have a few metres of accuracy, depending on conditions, hence the wattle tree hint.

We spent a long time here to no avail and had to leave very frustrated. Your hint didn't help us at all!

21-May-12
After failing to find the new Blundo Busters hide and after several different failed retrieval methods on this cache with the Geokids we finally inked the log today.
The hubby has been too busy to make me a proper retrieval device so I came prepared with a few different items to fashion the best one I could.
After initial success at grabbing it I let it go and had to grab it again.
So glad to have a smiley for this one, another great cache by Blundo Busters.
The worst part about this find is it was in the first place we looked!

1wahine & I searched for 30 to 40 mins and finally gave up. I'd like to say I'll be back this one is a little too far from the city and we travel by train. TFTH

16-May-12
Cranky with myself not returning that evening, thus missing a FTF. Made myself a retrieval device in which will keep for any other caches like this one.

15-May-12
In the area with Baktrak I headed back to this cache to see if we could crack this one before it became another 'unfindable' like The Pergola or The Echelon Project. It was easy to see that people had been looking everywhere with a lot of disturbance of leaf matter - plus there's a dead wattle tree that's been dragged into the causeway although I doubt any cacher did that.

The ground was at least dry today and with the CO's directions we quickly homed in on one area. Without giving too much away we think we discovered where it was fairly quickly but then couldn't confirm it and it took all our skills to finally extract it and finally open the well-camouflaged bison tube. Opened the log to find we were *FTF*. A real joint effort with this one.

A lot of work has gone into this and in the wake of Bifrost we thought it would be helpful to continue to restore hope to frustrated cachers in the NW of Sydney.

A favourite from me.

Thanks!

Had a message from Yurt this morning about a cache that had gone unfound for a quite a while. Not another one! There must be something in the water in these parts.
Well, we met up at GZ for what would become a genuinely-joint FTF. I quickly spotted the cache in the second place I looked and then made several failed attempts to extract it. Yurt's patience and magic nimble fingers delivered the goods. We unrolled the scroll, half expecting to have been beaten at the last moment, to find a beautiful blank FTF space at the top. A challenging cache for more than one reason. Thanks to Blundo Busters for the cache, and to Yurt for that vital bit of finger work.

Had a look around but this one might remind me of a similar Blundo Busters cache. Will return in the mourning better equipped.

13-May-12
Had a quick look in failing light. We will be back. TFTC

We couldn't get the coordinates to point anywhere else but the middle of the causeway. Saw the leaning tree and leaning sewer and quite a few leaning things! Amazing what you start noticing...

Someone had opened the sewer since we were there last as the holes in the lid had rotated. We opened it only to quickly close it again after seeing all the cockroaches. Pretty gross. Very Happy No cache for us today.

Tried again with new clues today. No luck. Looked at sewer but bit leary of opening it. Will be back. Thx Blundo Busters. We're enjoying your caches.

Not having much luck with BB caches lately. Searched GZ for about 1/2 hour around a sign before widening the the search to other places. This could be tricky!

Came back today but after an hour searching I think I need to bring a few extra eyes.
Will have a rethink and try again.
Thanks Blundo Buster for another challenge.

Came equipped with some retrieval tools today but all our theories have been dismissed. Just too good for us Blundo Busters!
Can't think of anywhere else to look where GZ is pointing us.

On the way home from a party we stopped by to take a look at the location.
The light was fading fast so we were only here 5 min but will return for another look and bring a different GPS with me to see if i can get a more accurate idea of the place to be looking.

Performed a cache check at 13:30 today. All good. Checked the co-ords on my iPhone, which pointed me to with 1m of GZ, but the hint will zero you in anyway.

Have also changed the hint to 2 hints.

Please note that the cache description says the WESTERN side of the causeway.

04-May-12
No luck. Couldn't understand the original hint. Will try again.

Now we didn't spend long here after all we came out today to go caching not DNFing, so we may have missed a FTF opportunity but I regret nothing....better look next time.

04-May-12
My GPSr wanted me out in the causeway, and the hint made no sense, so after a half an hour I gave up.

03-May-12
Turned up here, the ground was a bog, I could hear phones being dialled in houses and creepy sounding buzzers and announcements from the prison so I didn't feel like hanging around and left before looking. GZ appears to be in the middle of nothing though. Could just be me.
