This is such a cool location. I'm guessing old saw mill? Great adventure! Thank you so much for getting us into the wilderness!
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks whitey84 (F=321 H=14) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

With our Millicent Mega Event plans thwarted thanks to the latest evil covid breakout, a backup plan was hatched with chooknchunk and micaparamedic to meet up in Portland and camp for 3 nights to take advantage of the local caches.
The weather was miserable overnight and this morning, with rain and cold winds almost making us pack up and return home. Luckily we didn't however, as the rain eased and we were able to get out and enjoy some caching this afternoon under a very cloudy sky.
We chose the Glenelg River area as a multi nearby was our intended destination. Such a lovely location even with the inclement weather.
Due to the rain the track in was quite muddy in spots making for an interesting 4WD, lets just say the 2 women would have been happy to turn around. That wasn't to be as the men were confident our cars could make it. Once we got to the trailhead the track was much better with stones underneath making it rock solid. At GZ we were amazed to see the buildings hidden amongst the over grown vegetation. Wow! What a great find here, isolated in the middle of nowhere, we are so glad we persevered with the journey here to find this gem. Now the cache took a lot of searching, even with 4 sets of eyes but after reading some previous logs the penny finally dropped. Very clever, we almost missed that.
Thanks whitey84 for the clever cache placement here, a favourite point well deserved.

We came to Portland for the weekend, accompanied by The Tritonz and Micaparamedic (in separate cars of course), with the main goal being the GSWW and the Wind Turbine Geoart. However today was for a driving tour around the Lower Glenelg National Park area between Portland and Nelson. Despite the rain, we really enjoyed the beautiful scenery around the area and it turned out to be the best use of a rainy day. However we weren't so sure about this when on the tracks to this cache because there were plenty of deep puddles, but it all turned out to be good and we parked close enough to GZ to only need a short walk in. What an interesting area with the old structures. Wonder what stories it holds. The cache itself was very clever. In fact we walked straight past it at first, not thinking anything of it because it could be quite reasonable in such an isolated location. So we wasted lots more time looking everywhere else first. Thank you whitey84 for this cache - a definite favourite point from us, for both the cache and the adventure.
Drove right upto cache on a 40°day. What a fascinating place. TFTC Now a favourite.
Took advantage of having the morning off to take a pleasant drive through the forest.
Lots of roos and wallabies on the bush tracks, and a lonely building in an out-of-the-way place.
An easy find, an unusual container, a few photos, and then on to the next..

Greetings from Denmark.
Was a mission getting to GZ with a few trees across tracks. Spent around 20 minutes looking, was on my way back to cruiser bug when I made the find. Clever
Out for a drive over the border with my brother and his two children. We decided to venture off the main roads and explore some of the national parks.
This one was a favourite with all of us... Only challenge was getting good GPS signal.
Thanks

Wow! What a great little out of the way place. Love the hide too, however watch the leeches! Thanks for showing us this piece of history.
After having tea with fellow cachers, Geomum & Geodad decided the night before that we would head out & have a family caching day today. We had saved a fair few into our phones for the day. This was the 22nd one on our list. We had pulled up to GZ & went in for the find. Geomum looked at that very spot but Geodad had found. Very isolated out here for sure. TFTC
had no idea what caching was until a group of my mates and i stumbled across this while looking for a good place to camp now im hooked
Catching up on some very late logs that didn't save from our phone a while back. TFTC

Found with Pittsy Jr and family, doing some off-roading. His dad mentioned, this could be an old sawmill. Interesting place. Clever hide. Watch out for snakes. 21/4/14, 3:15 PM Find #633

We were out with Super Pop collecting some of the BLE caches and any others that came along. We wish we had read the cache page as we think we may have come in the wrong way, or at least the hardest way. A newly felled area turned out to be quite soft and a bit sticky and in the middle we were feeling isolated our selves. Fortunately we were able to get to hard ground with out the use of the winch and continued on to GZ. a great little spot that would have been very isolated in its day. The cache took a little while before we spotted the nice hide. We started off complaining about hiding a micro out here and left giving it a favorite point.
Many thanks whitey84

Have wanted to come past and look at this one for such a long time, love the tracks, love the area, would of been cool stumbling upon this, as it was for us today, thanks for bringing us out here. "Heaps Cool!" makes you think of what was here once. Tracks were crushed rocks in places, alot of trees have been cut, quite boggy and was ever so wet, babies giggled and smiled everytime we went through puddles, had a great adventure in the little pathfinder TFTC!
Nice easy drive by and drove by again and again than got lost leaving it as gps shat it self

This one's been on my to-do list since it was published and instantly became my nearest unfound. Always seemed to be out of time when passing but today we made time to grab it on the way home.
Had to climb over a locked gate to get near the cache. Freed the TB.
Thanks

Found on my day off after a facebook nudge. I was a bit wary of the corrugated iron laying around and what could be lurking underneath. I looked and looked and couldn't find it until I read a past log and then the light bulb went off.
You have me wondering how many miles you do on your random drives.
I wish I knew what this place was. It looks interesting.
Left TB.

i take my hat off to you! these are the sort of places that is the reason we go geocaching. LOVE IT!!!!
Found it at 11.55am. It happens to be on the property that used to be owned by the Harris family. Hence the road name.
Found @11:55
Haydavo & 1 were tripping around these new, near y to the farm caches. We travelled up Harris rd and turned at WP1. Trawl owed around the interesting area for a little while, I was starting to wonder how har sit was gonna be to find a 'log only' cache in this area when Haydavo walked back toward the 4wd and got curious about this item. It definitely stood out, but I didn't believe it was the cache until he opened it. Very nice
