This series is no longer viable with two out of four caches inoperable so it is only fair that I free up the area.
This was a nice pleasant walk to GZ after parking nearby. The logsheet was a bit damp so signing it was hard. TFTC
TFTC, had an enjoyable walk and found a family of ducks next to the cache.
Out with a great bunch of geocachers which started as a tree climbing exercise and ended up with 25 unique different DT's supporting Diamonjs, Rusty85 Nadine 1089 and Joojoo57 with RoddyC, Aussie Liahona and I tagging along.
This was the first on our adventure with a little walk up the track and the cache was soon in hand.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks bristracker All good with this cache

Out with a group of caches to achieve the 25 caches Unique D/T Rating Challenge. After about 11 hours we had found our 25. Great day but quite warm.
After a short walk this cache was found and signed. Thanks Bristracker.

A day of caching was planned on the Gold Coast today when it was noticed that with just a few more added we could try for our 25 Diff D/T in a day, this one fitted the bill and was a nice cache to start with. Nice short stroll to GZ and an easy find filled us with confidence. Will have to come back and do the others it looks like a nice bit of parkland. TFTC
On a geocaching adventure with a group.
Our first stop for the day - a quick walk up the trail and the cache was soon in hand.
Found at 7.30am on 17th February 2016. TFTC.

I agreed to do some caches including tree climbing. The tour should be around 10 caches. That sounds easy. In the end we were 8 geocachers who did the challenge of finding 25 geocaches with unique D/T rating. We spend 14 hours of the day geocaching and it was such a fabulous day!
This cache was the first one of our day. We started with an easy one.

We went caching after the rain. It was nice and wet around the area but the cache was OK. TFTC.
The rain had cleared and we decided to take our Geo dog who sufferers motion sickness out again this weekend for the " lets get use to the car rides" Caching is always a fun thing to do and I look for cache's that had some fun places to walk or relax. I saw it almost instantly. Excellent group of caches was a lovely quit walk.
Thank you.

We were surprised to see this quiet easement track open up into the pond area.
Found the cache fairly easily, but got sprung by a very quiet horse and rider as we were signing the log. I'm sure she thought we were behaving very suspiciously, but made polite conversation whilst she rode by.
Thanks bristracker.

What?! No rails?! That's OK. I'll take it. A nice easy finish to this little series. Lucky I'm grown up!
Thanks for bringing me out here bristracker. What an interesting little spot even if for no other reason than it now has three little smiley faces on my map. TFTC. SL.

Love the nice easy hides when the GPS is playing up, thanks for bringing me to this peaceful part of the coast & TFTC
Last one on the trail and I had happy get a nice little walk into the day of mostly drive bys. Although I did a short walk around four a little further north this morning. But it is nice to be able to get a little walking in.
Anyway log signed and then around to put a bit of work in with the legs.

Fun and easy to find, even at night.
It could use some more camo paint as most of it rubbed off.

After parking nearby we started the walk to three caches close by. No possum here today so no cache guard. The container has lost a lot of it's camo so is quite easy to spot. We placed a little other camo on it to hide it from muggle eyes. SL TFTC
We wandered a little bit too far into the bush past this one and had to back track a short way. Sal spotted this one quickly when we were at the right spot. Thanks bristracker, for placing the 462nd cache we've found so far!
On my final day of my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab a final 39 caches for the day. Had a great day with a few hard finds and a few walks. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements, and I apologise for the generic logs but I'm so far behind in my logging. Thanks heaps.
Found with Poynts95 and Sportacuss. Out and about on the Gold Coast for this run. Caching primarily West of the Motorway, we had the chance to pick up some solved puzzles and a couple of dozen other caches. A good day, with lunch in a plesant park. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches and appologies for the late logs.

Nice walk for a trio of caches here. One quite sneaky hide as well. The barking dogs half way along kept the kids a bit apprehensive, but you get that. TFTC bristracker.

Looked back at some log ins, would love to have seen the possum, but he wasn't there today. We have a mother possum in our shed at home with a baby, but its a big black possum.TFTC bristracker.
LAST DAY OF THE CHALLENGE!!!!!!
We have had a lot of fun but it was interesting to try and fit them in and go the distances.
Working for the AEC made it even harder.
We had left this one, R & T #3 and "Going Down of The Sun" for separate days so we had a cache for every day but seeing this is the last day it was going to be nice to round them up.
After finishing work we headed down the highway as quick as we could because we knew we wanted to do the 3 caches.
After finding #2 this was just the icing on the cake so we headed up the track for our cake and we hoped to eat it too!!
At GZ Geo Wife had me take over because she is vertically challenged and I spotted it almost immediately.
Thanks Bristracker TFTC SL Now off to the Going Down of The Sun before the sun goes down!!

I do like the late shift at work.
I can get out early in the morning for a walk.
And the trails through here were perfect.
A quick find here and a beautiful settling.
Thanks for the cache.

Quite a nice walk up through this parkland, pity it wasn't a bit longer. On the way up I saw some dogs locked in a cage at the bottom of someones yard. It sounded like the people were coming out to feed them. I walked straight past ok but on the way back they were out, all three of them and they were ready for dessert. They were going off the heads at me, which woke every other dog up in the neighborhood. Don't ya just love that. No stealth here.
I found cache safe and sound in its camo. SL. TFTC bristracker.

We liked the house on the hill with its pretty little billabong below. A very nice area. TFTC.
Visiting from Newcastle, staying with my brother at Nerang, brought along three young ladies all ready with their competitive spirit, TFTC bristracker!!
Third cache of the day, had to wait a few minutes whilst cycling muggles passed by, and soon spotted the cache. SL. TFTC bristracker.
I think the possum has moved to drier, higher tree. I had no trouble with this one. Thanks bristracker
This was a nice end to the series. The house up on the hill must have a pretty great outlook! Thanks bristracker for all the caches around this piece of bushland.
After #2, #3 was much easier a quite are for a walk today and the cache was quickly signed TFTC
A nice walk in the area, arrived here and this one turned out to be an easy find!
Thanks BT.
Thanks BT.
Perhaps this would be a good cache for night-caching as the little possum seemed quite sleepy and stubborn to give up the cache position during the day!
Possum!
Seeing the possible hiding spot I walked straight up to it leant over and took a look. And quickly stepping back with my heart now pumping a little faster I could see we may have a problem getting this one.
I had a second look making sure it wasn't a cleverly disguised cache and with a second opinion from kateRX we decided we should be able to get it with a bit 'general persuasion'.

Not everything is brown around here, the grass is green, the horse is grey and black, and the dog is a steel-blue, SL, TNLN, TFTC
When I arrived at this one, I found a very obvious hide - and it was empty. Great. I am going to be the first to log this as a DNF.
Then I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Ahh - there you are, you elusive beast. The cache was in good condition. TFTC Bristracker

After a short walk from the 2nd in the series we arrived at gz, cache spotted and retrieved by geokid.
Great spot for the trail of caches, thanks Bristracker.

As I was about to leave work it pelted down rain.... then stopped a minute later. I wasn't sure if I was going to get soaked while searching for these couple of caches.
No sign of rain when I got to the area but I donned the rain jacket anyway.
I got to the spot and searched a bit then had the cache in hand. With GPSR and torch back in my pocket I was searching my pocket for a cache dwelling frog when I muggle turned up.
I can't be sure but he looked like Jack Thompson ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Thompson_(actor) ) taking a couple of dogs for a walk.
He didn't seemed too concerned about me hanging out in the near dark under some random tree so we gave each other a nod and wandered off in different directions.
Thanks for the cache BT.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

Now I never knew there were such nice trails around here. And, beautiful in the early morning light. Popular as well. Aside from Aussie Liahona there were three joggers and a dog walker up and out early on this trail. So watching out for them we made the FTF at 6:26am. Thanks for bringing us out here Bristracker. From an early log on one of our caches I saw The Krugers were up early today too so that propelled us along here in case they would beat us.

Had to visit this new hide this morning on our way to Theam Park and glad I did.
The path / park we took said off leash dog area.
What a nice area for dogs but I'm thinking dog Adventure Park more than just an average grass grass grass park.
Enjoyed the walk to GZ and took TB.
Thanks Bristracker.
I didn't even know this lovely park was here and so close to home
