I have looked for this several times with several different people. I believe it is not here anymore.
Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
Last of the series for us. Mrs Felix walked up here to help search but there is nothing to match the hint anywhere near GZ. Having read the previous logs where there are explicit instructions given it appears the rock where this cache was hiding is no longer in situ so cachers have no idea where to look.
Thanks anyway Norms quest with Stumbleduponit

We looked, we poked about, we read all the logs, we looked at the clue, we thought about the title, and found and area to suit the title, but came up empty handed today after a 20min search with 2 of us!

Found it in moderate rain, took it under cover to sign the log. Log is full, needs replacing. TFTC!
Found on a walk with the geodog. GPS had a hard time pointing the way but then Katie.B pointed out the obvious and the GPS wasn't even needed. TFTC
Last cache of the day after a circuit through fern glade. Nephew looked and said it wasn't there, I dug deeper.
After having the PTPT included on our "to do" list for long enough that it's chiselled in stone, we targetted the Ferntree - Neika section today. This was our first & set the pace for those to come: bouncy GPS readings & reliance on hints. After some poking about in decidedly not T1.5 territory the correct spot was finally identified. Used the handy table for signing duties. Still unsure about the 3 "P's" though.
Here from Canada, caching our way across Australia....
Four of us had a really good look for this one but unfortuately came up empty handed.
Thanks anyways Norms quest

The coordinate lead me astray so I ignored it and searched likely places according to the title. Thanks for the hide Norms quest.
Picked up a hire car in Hobart and set forth for Mt Wellington with my Dad. A wrong turn led us out here so decided we'd pull over for this cache.
No pen to sign so a stick and some mud were adequate tools today....
Relatively quick find although our GPS was saying out on the road, geosenses took us to the cache.

Decided to grab a few caches in the vicinity of Silver Falls with Rilestar this afternoon, and this was one of them.
A quick easy find once we worked out which side of the track to search on. TFTC!

Friday 28 November 2014 - A cloudy and sunny day with a perfect 10 degrees at the very top of the mountain taking 4.5 hours / 10 km walk up Mt Wellington from Fern Tree. Have been in the work office since Wednesday after taking all day to get from Canberra to Hobart. Home tomorrow ) Thx p2p. TFTC.
As a german tourist i didn't know what "RHS" ment, so know i am a little bit wiser.

Found and logged quickly just before a party of adults and kids walked past - and it was still there on the return trip, so the red tag sneakiness must have been enough!
Thanks for the cache, Norms quest !

A nice easy find, iPhone wasn't a great GPS today. TFTC.
Today 3 of the Knights + geo-dog went for a short walk at the start of the Pipeline Track.

Clue was way to easy but thankfully so. My GPS was still showing 11m. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown en route from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania.

I stopped nearby and then realised there was a cache across the road. I couldn’t not find it…could I! TFTC.
After a picnic lunch in the park, I left the kids playing (supervised) and wandered over to search for this cache. Located easily but muggles chatting on the road called for a bit of stealth. I snuck it out and wandered off to sign the log. Quietly replaced while they chatted unaware a few metres below. TFTC
We start our adventure along the pipeline here. We parked across the road at the tavern and unloaded the bikes. We have been driving from Brisbane to Hobart and hadn't taken them off yet so at last.... thanks for this trail. We really enjoyed it and probably would never have found it without GC.
Cache found quickly, thank you for this hike Return will be done in the rain Haha
Was thrown by the mentions of the shelter in previous logs. Focused on the hint.
A nice quick find after catching up with Gooseandegg, Code 1, JABs and SB8 at Neika. A quick find with the help of the hint. TFTC.

Took a little to uncover this one. Liked the 2 level BBQ area.

What a surprise to find not only the BBQ but also the two story shelter. I did notice there was also more shelters a little ways down the top track. Anyway I scratched around and was at a lost until Code 1 looked a little deeper.
JABs.

After having no success the first time we visited decided to go back today after 8 successful finds earlier this afternoon. This time around we persisted a bit longer and read previous logs which gave us a better idea of where to look and managed to find it . TFTC
YAAAY!!! Finally managed to find the elusive cache that we gave up on last time. Persisted with the spot we knew it had to be and finally had the cache in hand. Thanks for a great cache in a great area of our beautiful state. TNLNSL
First searched around a standing object but only discovered one of those munzee things stuck to the back of it. Resorted then to the hint and found the cache easily. Leaves were soaked from last nights rain. Container and contents all good. TFTC!
Quick find by geoson, third time lucky. Found cache on the opposite side of the rock to what the hint said. I hope you don't mind Norms quest as I moved the cache to the other side of the rock so facing the rock standing on the path the cache is now in the correct location as per the hint. Anyone else looking it's next to the obvious rock buried in thick leaf litter. TFTC.
This one got us at the end of a successful afternoon of geocaching. The GPS was a bit wild, checked hints, rocks, sticks and leaves but it was getting cold and dark, so had to leave this one for next time.
Think we left this a little bit late to try and attempt - was starting to get dark and GPS on phone was jumping around all over the place! Tried all the places we thought looked promising with no luck - will try again another day .
Another mild winter's day had us back on the mountain and this end of the PTPT trail. TFTC
Beautiful cold day, great enjoyed stroll on the easy pathway for PTPT series as long long way walked return for six hours.. Easy to find before dark down as hide very well thanks
Found with Geoson Rexamite - learning exercise for him with his new (used) eTrex. TFTC
Found with geodad tiltonspire. Also I found with my new etrex H.
great container, where do you get them?

Today was the day to find some of the PTPT caches between Ferntree and Neika (starting at Ferntree). This one was first and quickly found. Thanks Norms quest with Stumbleduponit.
This was our second attempt on this one, but this time some disturbed dirt looked suspicious, so it was quickly found on this visit. TFTC Norms quest with Stumbleduponit
On this occasion it was the Pipeline from Neika to Ferntree. Our intention was go the reverse way but, with a bushfire meeting for locals, there was no parking left. However this turned out for the best because we stopped at the Wildside Café at Fern Tree for lunch before making the return walk.

We looked at GZ, then further afield but returned as the GPSr insisted it was there. It was too. TFTC.
Off for a Sunday afternoon ride with the HotCrossChild with the aim of collecting a few more PTPT caches. This was at the end of the ride, and I doubled back while the HotCrossChild mucked about on the fort. Found cache, wandered off with it while some riders passed, signed and replaced as found. Thanks!
Had a look at the spots we thought likely, maybe we didn't scratch about enough.
Tha firs' o' tha PTPT's on me list o' hidden treasures were a disappointin' search, an' lef' a sad pair o' pirates travelin' on after searchin' high an' low, track an' roadside.
Couldn't see it, GPS was jumping around, so left it and had more thorough look on the way back - and there it was. I can't think what the three P's are either. Possibly piffling pastime... Thanks Norm's quest.
This was the first for the day with Wilco! and Old Saint It was easily spotted as it was just sitting out there all exposed. Returned with a little more discreteness TFTC
There were three of us today, but not all "P's". Along with GoldJ and OldSaint we headed off in the drizzle to cover this end of the PTPT. Even though it was damp I had a really enjoyable time, especially in getting to know GoldJ a little bit.
Took a little bit of finding, probably because we had to stop looking between the muggles. Eventually found and logged....now off to the next one. Thanks for the cache
After 3 attempts at going for a walk (read caching) and having bad weather on each, we finally were able to set off and find this cache and the others further up the track. Took a while to find as there were lots of muggles around, interrupting the caching experience. For a while I thought that it was missing until I scratched around a little more.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
a little tricky as it was slightly buried. put it back with the leaves over. didn't have a pen so write with a dirty stick. a bit disorganized. under DdTS on 7/7.
Good fun to find with some family from Perth WA. Had no pen so we put 2 little wholes in the paper work.
After completing most of the PTPT caches at the other end we moved to this end. At first we couldn't spot the cache (but we have had this problem a bit today!!). Read the hint and still couldn't spot it . . . Read an erlier log, took notice of its advice and T soon had this one in hand. TFTC
Having decided to use the hint (which seems sensible for the caches in the PTPT series) I checked the obvious spot and came up with nothing. So I strolled back and forth, trying to get my GPSr to settle, and came back to the obvious spot again and checked a bit more carefully and there it was. I have to admit the Ps have me mystified, but I have been somewhat dozy of late! This completed my handful of caches on a short afternoon stroll, so thanks for the cache Norms quest.
2.00 -Out and about with 80 degrees whilst enjoying the 53rd National Square dance convention. Having time off through the day we took off towards Mt Wellington. With blue skies and the sun shining but still very very cold but stopped of this one on our way. Whilst Mr X needed to took a phone call the rest of the team took the walk. Once we decided on up or down, (of course our first pick was wrong) we had an easy find. Would have loved to taken along the complete track but it will have to be another time.
Thanks for bringing us here today Norms quest

Found at 11.45am Today was the day we had put aside to visit Mt Wellington and what a great day it was with blue skies and the sun shining. Along with the xambo's we headed across Summerlea Rd and stopped on this corner. Once we decided on either top or lower path and the GPS settled Mrs 80 made a quick find. TFTC
Hard to get a good fix under the trees; walked on by without the GPS counting down. Had to backtrack and let it settle again before finding.
When we arrived at GZ there was a group of muggles gathering in preparation of a walk along the track. We had a quick glance around and decided that we would collect it on the return trip. Unfortunately by then, we had three very wet and cold geokids (and one very cranky 4yo!) so after a quick look around in the rain, decided to call it quits. We will return soon for a better look.
