Had to go to Richmond so I thought I would check out a few archived caches to see if I could find one. We had our interest in finding archived caches sparked when we spoke to another cacher in Blenheim, he told us about Project G-C having a statistic for archived cache finders.
I can't remember ever coming to this wee park before, and there was no one around while I was there so I followed the phone to the GZ and there it was, just waiting to be found.
This was an incredibly easy find, as previous finders have said the container does not have a lid. The tree has a good grip on the cache container and I was unabe to move it, but I could still get to the inside of the container. The paper that was in it was a bit like mush, so I left a new log in a plastic bag.
Thank you for placing this cache and of course thank you for the smilie

Account owner is no longer geocaching, archiving cache and deactivating account. J.
Cache exposed. Strong fecal odor nearby. No container. Placed under rock. Log sodden.
Another find with Dr.Davis. Cache is missing its lead but seems to be okay. Nice easy find. TFTC
Quick find. Don't get the serpent reference. Lid missing and not at gl as hinted at. Thanks for the cache.
Found on a road trip to Richmond and Nelson from the deep dark South of Dunedin.
Having a great time hunting down caches in a load of different places.
Thanks for your efforts in hiding your caches.

A Great wee park, took our dog Winston for a walk to find this cache in Winston Park! The container doesn't have a lid, so contents a little wet, we couldn't find it anyway close by but left container on its side well tucked in.
TFTC. Third find of the day, whilst on the way to the cache I was really after. Neat little spot, I wonder how many of the residents consider it a part of their back gardens?
With a caching catch up event on in Nelson this afternoon I was invited along to join Capperz and The Seagnoid on a day's caching in the Nelson area. For once my other weekend plans didn't clash and I was able to tag along and get a few caches on the books. It's always nice to try out a new area and see the variety of different hides along the way. Nice little park here and a relatively quick find. No sign of the guard.

Today is a caching event in Nelson day. So today must also be a caching mission to Nelson day too!
Setting off early from our current homes at Woodbourne the Seagnoid and G H 6 7 1 0 were met at the breakfast hall for a quick feed prior to setting off 'over the hill'.
Meeting at 0630 and returning around 8 in the evening it was a big day all round for all concerned (is there any other way to have a Geocaching day, than big?)
This was one of the caches we did whilst carrying out a nice big loop walk in the beautiful hot sunshine on the Summers day. It was a quick and easy find and the well hidden cache was appreciated.
A nice little hide here and all nice and quiet today

[green] Capperz, GH6710 and I left Blenheim at 6:30, in order to be in time for an event in Nelson at 3:30. Turned up a little late, not surprising, as we were busy trying to make a dent in Nelson's caches. I've done loads of caching here now, but my GPS, with the finds removed, looks as busy as ever. Wonderful day for it, although I was wondering about getting sunburnt! Another nice find here, thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find here - enjoying caching on holiday in the area with Just-Lookin
Had another great day with some very good finds.

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.

#7879. I waited for the front to pass through before I headed out for today's street walk. While out I realised I was going to pass a cache Troodles had found while streaking, so stopped to find it. TFTC.
Quick find, nice and quite today, park wet under foot. Al so had a black cat keeping an eye on the cache. TFTC
A very secret little park, nicely kept but a bit boggy in places, especially the access area from Churchill Ave. Spotted an alternative entrance from Kingsley Pl which didn't show up on google maps which would be a less muddy option for access over winter.
The drizzle kept the muggles away but was light enough that I stayed dry for the short walk and quick find. That's now day #73 of my streak. TFTC.

We found this while caching around Nelson on a beautiful hot sunny day. Found the entrance on our second attempt.
The cache was quickly found but we didnt see a serpent (real or fake). Thanks for the cache

After a quick stroll across the park in the rain, this cache was soon found. TFTC!

Staying with family in Richmond whilst on Holiday (Mr G grew up here).
Out and about at night with Mrs G. Run over so we hit a few more caches around town by car. A quick find and sign. Cheers.

Find #212 for the BAMmJams - this is the park that (muggle)GeoNanna grew up by, so she was pleased to join us as we revisited her neighbourhood! Took a wee bit of looking to find the right place, but hint was right-on when we found it. The mini-BammJams took out a marble and put in a dice. Some overly-big swag in the container at the moment, so we were glad to just have a small dice to drop off! TFTC.
Nice little park that I never knew existed, so thanks for that. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
12873… Sneaked in for a quick find without disturbing the resident, great to see a large container, thanks for showing us Winston’s Secret.
Another lovely little park on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There didn't seem to be any prying eyes so I went for it. It was easy to find but you would want to pick your time and make sure neighbours are not on the alert.
Out for a small night time caching run and crept into this little Park for a quick find. Neighbour's all tucked up watching tellie thank goodness. TFTC
My 4th today. I was the only one in the park which made for a very quick find. Thanks
Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Nice little park. Took a few moments to work out how to get into it. No sign of the serpent, must of gotten scared away. Need pencil sharpner. Tftc.
Must confess to driving right past the obvious before seeing we were getting further away again! Soon found this neat secluded spot - must revisit on a better day. Thanks.
another park i didnt know about. place was deserted. or maybe just too early for normal folks. tftc
Our first cache of the year in a lovely park that we didn't know about. Swapped trackables. TFTC.
A visit to Richmond so a short detour to find this cache. Cache soon found and log signed. TFTC.

The last cache for the year in a nice park I didn't know about. Dropped a TB. TFTC
Many thanks for placing and maintaing the caches, on a cache run for a few days to get to 8000 finds, and 2000 finds for the year.

Stopped at two other spots for DNFs this lunchtime, was getting desparate and late to be back for work. Very happy this one was fast and easy and muggle-free! TFTC
This is indeed a little secret treasure place. Signed log in shade of nearby tree.
A well hidden gem. Felt as though I was being watched from all angles. TFTC!

Looked in here on Saturday afternoon, but felt a bit too exposed with the neighbours all overlooking the park. Decided on an early morning walk this morning, after watching Federer put an end to Andy Murray's hopes at Wimbledon.
It almost ended up as another aborted mission though, as my GPS batteries went flat as I entered the park. Luckily I remembered the general location and hints, so was able to locate the cache quickly. TFTC

found it at 4:30 but i had to run back home for a pen
Really fun trying finding it with my dog but she was more interested in playing with the children at the park then actually helping me
Take a pencil sharpener

One day a couple of weeks ago I tried to find this one. Not being familiar with the area I tried to approach from the wrong street and was excited to see what I thought was Winston's treasure but unfortunately was in someone's backyard and he wasn't Winston! Oh dear but a nice quick find today. The cache needs some maintenance as it looks like the feature has become separated from the cache. What a great large area for the local kids that is a complete surprise for someone that doesn't know about it. TFTC #3378
