These laneways were certainly a scene of early morning activity in days gone by. Thankfully more convenient and less unpleasant ways of removing human waste now operate. The well constructed cache was quickly found but, due to it being visited frequently, it is now very easy to open. It must have been great in the early years. The contents were in good condition. Thanks monkeyandus for the novel cache.
Google Mental Health Activities. Geocaching should be in the list?? Off for a MH Activity in the eastern burbs. Was a little worried wouldnt have correct tool. Yah door opened. Signed & returned. Tftc fav point added
We slunk in with a few key possibilities only to find it was none of them. But that wasn't a setback, we were in within seconds with a good old standby TOTT that's really not a TOTT. A clever hide in amongst the delightful heritage homes and thanks to the old sanitary system there's a cool network of lanes to put one or many. TFTC monkeysandus, FP! 6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots

GC3G2JJ Didyabringakeyalong?Happy Leap Year!A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane for the leap year mega event. Today we fly home in the afternoon so this is the last morning of grabbing a few more. To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. However 2 more have joined our team. So BOLD9 today it is. I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more. Nice idea. Ha ha. Perplexed for a bit then tried the obvious. Here with kiwisteve2 after the Great Keap forward.First road trip with our new caravan, so a plan was hatched that included the Ballarat Geotour, avoiding the fires, the Great Ocean Road, Mt Gambier and onto Adelaide. The Mega, the onto Flinders Ranges, Mildura and random places back to Sydney. Other cachers include kiwisteve2, drobbonz, kimmy533 and tessa-bella. Tftc
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. Stacey is touring us around Adelaide picking up some stragglers. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache monkeysandus
Day 8 of SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and with only 2 days left theres still some targets to get. Very nicely constructed and luckily we did bring the right key. Tftc monkeysandusFind #5727
And on the seventh dayThe best cure for Post Leap Day Blues (yes ,thats a real thing) is to either: a) Get up at 5:30am to go caching including an event in a new LGA or b) Sleep in until 10am and go shopping SQUIRM managed to do both Clever and unique the hardest part was getting Stacey back outThanks monkeysandus
Very nicely made. Havent seen one quite like this before. Picked up the TB to move alongThank you for the cache. Finding it has added more fun to our morning.
Veni, Vidi, ViciHaving finally unlocked premium, its time to catch up on logs. Visiting Adelaide with the Gcrew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega adventure. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their caches, we had a very busy, but very enjoyable couple of days in Adelaide and surrounds targeting a D/T loop in a day and whatever other caches took our fancy. No rest for the wicked on this trip.
A couple of days off work so we can visit the City of Churches for the Great Leap Forward MEGA. The G-Crew met up at Adelaide Airport and all piled in to the Hyundai Staria Im pretty sure Staria means not that comfortable and be prepared to slide around in your seat. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have prepared for months and are ready to go. Puzzles have been solved, target caches listed, spare caches ready we are to get a Leap Day fizzy grid in SA. 7 Cachers checkToTTs checkCold drinks checkEnough time hopefully. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to save time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a very tiring caching party. Sorry for the generic log but with 100+ logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't, my logs have been at 8 months unloved so have had plenty to catch up on.
I took my first ever trip on a plane to Adelaide to cache with G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega leap day adventure. After months of planning and puzzle solving we hired a minivan and set off on a mission to find as many caches as we could on our leap day adventure with the main goal of completing a Dt loop in a day. We started off by working our way down to Victor Harbour via the coast, then worked our way back to Adelaide via the inland route chasing different types, sizes, JASMER's, unusal D/T's, earthcaches, virtuals and more. Thanks to all the CO's who have placed and maintained all of the caches we found on this trip, I had a great time.
Find # 13784I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Found with sharkiefanSigned as FUSHDay 5. "The Great Leap Forward" day is here. Spending the day in the city ticking off a few lists of finds and enjoying all the mateship that comes with Geocaching. TFTC monkeysandus
Find 4717 on February 29, 2024Day#3 on Fergzters trip to the Great Leap Forward Event. What a cracker of a hide. Well done. All is well with the cache. TFTC monkeysandus
The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). With a minivan loaded with Cachers & TOTT, hopefully, time is the only thing that stands in our way. With 2024 presenting us with a leap day, we have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day. South Australia became the logical choice due to the Mega event and the fertile, largely uncached grounds it provides for our team. Many months of planning and puzzle-solving (from simple to downright diabolical) have gone into this trip. Our selected matrix has evolved over time to account for other ongoing objectives. Fortunately, BFMC had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault, but the many, many hours and many more group chat messages since we started planning this in 2023 have brought us to this point. All physical caches were either stamped or signed as G-CREW to save both time and log space. Thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained these caches!Thank you, monkeysandus, for this Traditional cache.
What an amazing adventure through Adelaide. This was my first time to Adelaide and we had a very long day driving and grabbing as many caches as possible. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/t Matrix on a leap day.Apologies for the generic log, but with so many caches we got today, we didnt have much time to log them as we grabbed them.We had no issues with any containers or hides, and all were in good condition, and well maintained.I was part of G-Crew as we tackled our list, we hired a seven seater van and drove all around Adelaide. The members of our hunt were Dromaniax, BFMC, and JTreeTrack2 who did their fair share of driving and route planning, Sims_family who was on recon and puzzle solving, Neville_devil our fearless high altitude cacher, and myself Quickhealer2.We have been planning this adventure for about 10 weeks, puzzle solving, route planning, and it all came down to the big day and we did so much.I was very lucky to be invited into G-Crew, and with all of our skills and strengths we got our task doneEach log was signed or stamped G-Crew, and I thank all the CO's for maintaining their caches through the chaos of this Mega eventthanks again for the adventureQuickhealer2
Hi monkeysandus, We found your 3.5 1.0 Regular Traditional Didyabringakeyalong? on 29/2/2024.Find 2758 for BFMC.This one was on the list as a highly favourited cache. Snuck down the alley quietly in the wee hours and made a quick find. A very cleverly constructed location! The G-Crew have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). With a minivan loaded with Cachers & TOTTs hopefully time is the only thing that stands in our wayWith 2024 presenting us with a leap day, we have decided to target as many of project-gcs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day. Our selected matrix has evolved over time to account for other ongoing objectives. According to Google I have lived for 22 leap years + but how many more we do not know but the SA Leap Forward Mega has been and gone and what a great event. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/T Matrix on a leap day. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). We have to say a great big thanks to all the cache owners for looking after these caches for us to find. The hire cars had a big work out with all the gear and TOOLS that we thought we may require. We have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day.One of my first Megas was in SA in I think 2014 ( Murray Bridge) but as there, just so many caches of most D/T combos it made sense to target this Mega. We had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault but distance was also a problem but I think we made our objective irrespective a great time was had even if we do not make our objective. Thanks to all the S.A. cachers for placing these caches and keeping them on the playing field.
Well the big day is here, we are finally in Adelaide after weeks of planning . The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) has some pretty intense goals that requires a very long day and no sleep to achieve. The last few weeks the message group has been awash with many many messages as we worked though all the puzzles in order to achieve our main goal of a full D/T loop in a day.We loaded the Hyundai Staria (Was meant to be a KIA Carnival, Not an upgrade ) with all the ToTTs we though or hoped we would need in order to achieve our goals. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to safe time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a blast and sorry for the generic log but with so many logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't.
Found with FUF009 while caching around the area. Some good construction here. Tftc
Out caching with Fergzter and we could see a cache with lots of favourite points so we thought to have a look. Now we know why it has so many favourite points, and now one more. Thanks for the cache.
Finally time to be in Adelaide and we arrived a few days early. We set up camp in Walkerville and settled in for a few days.Today we took the vehicle and the pole and tackled some of the higher terrain caches. There was some discussion about what might be required here - as it turned out we didn't need much at all. A nice sized hide in the burbs. Thanks for contributing to our holiday monkeysandus
Didyabringakeyalong?3.5/1.0 Regular Traditional Cache Back in Adelaide after 14 years. Here for The Great Leap Forward Mega and catching up with awesome caching friends and revisiting Adelaide where we lived for 16 beautiful years! Had a wonderful time reminiscing and admiring wonderful changes in the State, meeting friendly cachers and helpful COs and finding quality caches, high D/Ts and old ones.Thank you for the cache monkeysandus. Quick and easy. Very clever. Adding a Fav point.
A beautiful and quirky urban high.We really did enjoy our little walk to GZ and the surprise we had there. Thanks monkeyandus for maintaining this one. Lots of fun, and a favourite point added. Domsky
Continuing with the South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. There is so much to do and in such close proximity. Today it was leaving Adelaide and venturing north through Gamber and then a little east to grab caches in Waikerie to start the onslaught on the bike series of caches and locals. There is always time for one more cache and that seemed to be the theme for the road trip today. We left the airport and started our trip. Some great variety of caches today and some fun along the way. We got to see a huge moon a rising with some awesome pics. Thanks to all the COs for the hides and caches we found today, awesome caches. Caches were signed BOLD 7 With a few favourite points there must be a reason
The high number of FPs lured the BOLD07 team to this spot as we meandered our way to Waikerie. Parking just round the corner, made our way to GZ and spotted the neat hide. Tried a few things and even deployed one of the group to bring back from the car their TOTTs satchel. In between time I used one of my useful tricks learnt in a Brissy public school and picked the lock (easily I might say). No legitimate key needed and no police pursuit needed to rush things!! Thanks to the monkeysandus for keeping this cache active.
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we head north to expire the country. Fab day collecting all sorts including some well preserved oldies. Thanks to the SA cachers for awesome variety of caches.

Second cache for today while on the way up north for some geoart on our leap mega caching week. Signed with BOLD7. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache.
Found it! Very quiet around here on this hot day. No problems accessing the hide, signing the log and returning it to its hiding spot without being noticed. TFTC!
We were out this side of town and just ducked down here to quickly sign and replace. Added some swag. TFTC
Found with the #dinokids. This is the 2nd cache that my 4 yo has spotted and he gets so excited!!

Nice cache, out on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the Geokid love the effort. Was a bit tricky with a resident muggle in a nearby garage, but managed to sign the log tftc
TFTC! Nicely constructed. Wasn't too sure about the clue as we did bring a key and rotating seemed to work!
Found on way home a birthday party. A fair bit of effort went into this. And it has stood the rest of time. Tftc
After a visit to the city, I managed to convince the youngest to look for a cache before heading home. This one had a few FPs so I thought it might be a good one to interest the youngest. I spotted a potential hide on our approach and with the area clear it was a quick find. Nicely hidden here. TFTC monkeysandus
I was in the area shopping for camping goods and decided to find a few caches out this side of town on my way home. After being surrounded by muggles at the previous two caches I looked for, I was hoping this would be a little quieter. Thankfully it was, I spotted the cache from a distance, and quickly got it open. I love caches like this, a favourite point from me. TFTC!
What a great design for a cache! Blends in very well so you wouldn’t think it’s a cache. Favourite point given! TFTC.

A fabulously constructed cache hiding in plain sight and was rewarded with a favourite point for excellence.
Found with Jolly0 and geocleo. Was good to get another find under our belts after a trio of dnf's earlier in the day.

Surprised at the difficulty rating. Would put it as a 1. Still was very good for kids being left to find the caches by themselves.
#16702 - 9:00:00 AM; Returned to South Australia yesterday accompanied by Sol de lune to retrieve the geomobile, which had been in dry dock in Victor Harbour since my previous visit. Now back in action, and after spending the night in Adelaide, we set off this morning headed to Mildura in the reinvigorated geomobile. As we headed out of Adelaide, we decided to add a few counties to our tally. This saw us weaving our way through different parts of the city collecting caches like this one as we went. All were found in good order and returned as found after we had signed the logs. TFTC monkeysandus
In Adelaide with LuckyL10n to pickup a car and driving back to Canberra...and of course that also meant grabbing a few caches. We concentrated on the counties we hadn't been to before, ensuring we grabbed one or two to cross it off the unfound list.
No problems with the ones we decided on, and our names were soon in the logs.
Thanks for this one monkeysandus...fav for the fun.

I’ve passed on this one a number of times - the D rating had me thinking that it was a complex field puzzle. Well, a little bit of a puzzle, but really not hard, and of course my car keys were still in my left hand. Nice work on the cache monkeysandus, thanks!
This was certainly a first, so a FP is being left for riding this great little bit of history
I found this cache years ago when it was still fresh and new. Little worse for wear now but still an excellent cache. Visited with Schmidtzall, tftc
Nice suburban hide.
Log book fullish and alot of entries are out of date order. No biggie. Found a space to sign the log.
Tnx for the D/T rating, filled in another square.

A challenge cache near Millicent requires you to find the 10 of the top 15 favourite caches in any one state. Living in the SE I only had two of these. Up in Adelaide for the purpose of buying an e bike I directed muggle mark to this cache up some beautiful tree lined streets.
It’s quite a nifty cache. Funniest is that a muggle has written a note on the log “do something better with your life” well Muggle ol mate we think we are doing something better.
A fave point for construction.

Down around the city and surrounding areas this afternoon shopping, picking up a few caches while we’re here. Mainly targeting caches which require a TOTT or two while we have them on board, Also picking up the odd cache along the way. This cache is one that was found today.
We didn’t bring a key along, but the clever hide was soon uncovered and the cache was in hand. Cute little spot here found under torchlight. A FP for the construction.
Find #3936 on 12 Mar 2022.

I was seeking a few finds for the day, and having finished with my uni commitments for the day, I made my way to this area in search of a few finds. I had an idea of where I was meant to be looking for this cache, and as soon as I was at gz my suspicions were proven correct. The cache was found, the log was signed and I was on my way. I think this one is worth a favourite point.
