Cheers.
Cheers.
Thanks all for those that hunted. My Geowife and I are leaving the area and will no longer be around to look after the hide.
Introduced my sister to geocaching and found this cache after trying twice last year. Drop bear nearly attacked but I'm safe this time. Cheers! Tftc
Thanks to my sis in law for introducing me.... I went along for this first find!
Loved this innovative cache. Found between dog walking muggles. Thanks for the fun.
I kept an eye out for the vicious, tourist-attacking marsupials and they didn't get me. One thing led to another and I got it. Nice work, thanks again aussiealstons.
Yep it's been a while since we have seen one of these. SL, a special TFTC for the interesting placement
Having geocycled in as party of my loop of the lake the drop bears were no match for my bicycle helmet. Nice hide, I have not seen one of these for sometime now
Out on a ladies day with Lady membsec, Net88 and Angela minus Dave. I mentioned that this one was on our list toady and Lady M was very excited, she told us of her last attempt and how she had to DNF it.
As we walked through GZ I had a small look and spotted the cache straight away Woohoo! It wasn't long until the rest of the group had the cache spotted as well. Lady M wasn't quite sure how she had missed this one last time.

Found this cache whilst out for the day with Lady Membsec, Angela minus Dave and Nyssaflutterby. We had heard from Lady Membsec how hard this cache was and how they had dnf'd it previously so we were all excited for a good hunt.
We pulled up in the car park and wandered over to GZ. Angela and Lady Membsec went to one side of the clearing and Nyssaflutterby and I followed our devices to the other side. Within 30 Seconds Nyssaflutterby had found the cache and a second or so after I spotted it as well. Lady Membsec asked us not to tell her and she noticed it a few moments after getting to the right side of the clearing.
Lesson to everyone... the coordinates/ satellite reception aren't always 100% accurate Thanks for the cache aussiealstons it was like a breath of fresh air

Out and about with the lovely Nyssaflutterby, Net88, Angela and Dave in the speedy spangle. I got extremely excited when I was told that we were going to this cache. We had visited this cache when we first started caching and we couldn't find it. I was stating how difficult it was to find.......well I am now very embarrassed as I now don't understand how we missed it last time!!!! I must admit that the GPS had us on the wrong side but I'm sure we expand our search. Cool cache.

On a Sunny Coast excursion with Nyssaflutterby, Net88 and Membsec putting smileys on the map.
Membsec mentioned they had attempted this one before with no luck and there was a little quiet in Spangle on the short journey to GZ.
Upon reaching GZ we moved into formation and started the military procession through the trees, leaving no stick or stone unturned.
After a few minutes we hear a laugh and someone has located the illusive cache.
So, winding down , we quickly had the cache in hand before winding up at this location!
TFTC. Very smart!

Geokids reckoned this was even better than Open Wide. Two awesome caches today! Thanks.
Replaced log book. Plenty of room. Remember, watch out for drop bears, they will eat your brains.
When we read the previous logs we were rather wary about the brown snake that was mentioned so we were making sure we made a lot of noise to scare it away - but fortunately there was no sign of it! The GPS had us in the middle of the clearing but we widened our search for a while and were not far off giving up our search when Marco spotted the clever hide. A favourite point from us. TNLNSL TFTC
Another great hide, it's pleasure to find a challenging cache. Thanks aussiealstons.
Bit too much a tack for Duck so it went for a paddle in the water. Since GZ kept putting me in the middle of the clearing, there was no other option than to start looking for the drop bears in the nearest tree. Method wins out over the random dropping of a ducks dinner every time. Clever hide sure beats the drive by mint tin under a park bench anytime. TFTC
#1533, cool hide, not seen any like this in nz, this is the second such hide this trip, may have to copy this back home, left a neatad signiture pathtag, tftc
Yes, pretty cool hide, and something similar to what I have been thinking about planting. Real nice cache, and a real pleasure to find...creekside too, which is also a bonus. I think part of your hide is starting to wear a little, so be awares.

Oh my goodness, nearly walked away from this, coming in and out of the trees to check the GPS, looked high looked low, avoided people coming to exercise dogs, did some scratching, tree hugging, and general looking and lo and behold, something took my eye, a cache, great to find, great hide. Thanks aussiealstons put a smile of my face for the rest of the day.
This cache popped upon the radar for Pprime and I today while in this area with Fangsoki. After we all arrived near GZ and I'd had a look out across the creek, the hunt was on. Fangsoki stood by smirking and Prime and I looked for a sign of the hide.
Something was spotted which soon led to the cache. I love caches like this and in a nice area! No drop bears nor any other notable wildlife to be seen today. TFTC aussiealstons

With a day out on the trails with Fangsoki and Captain Terror searching for really really really old caches ... and whatever else popped up on the tomtom as we drove past. Like this one. Clever hide (once Captain Terror and I spotted it, with Mister Fangsoki smirking nearby). Reminds me of my very first find in Canberra a few years ago - nostalgia.
Thanks for placing this cache, aussiealstons. Found in good condition.

Clever hide..........took a while then spotted it. Really enjoyed bringing it down.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found this one a while ago. Very clever found after a rugby game nearby . TFTC
A short visit to Noosa, the rain finally lifting. A relaxing spot to find a very well crafted cache. TFTC
We loved this one! GZ moved around a bit but kept returning us to the same place. Although it was near dusk I was just in the right place to see a sign, and we soon had the cache. Thanks for another great hide, a favourite of ours.
GPSr placed us in the clearing, but that didn't seem a likely spot for a bear to drop, so widened our search a little. AuntyTom spotted the apparatus first and we quickly had the fresh log in hand. A clever hide. TFTC.
Bloody genius hide! Hides like this keep geocaching exciting! Thank you so much FTC!
Tried this one a couple of times and still can't find it. Good to see Uncle Tom got it which means is still there. We live round the corner so will keep trying
Checked this one today and placed new log. Just avoided a drop bear ripping off my head. Close call!
TFTC .. Great one .. A favorite point for me book needs replacing . Sorry could not sign it
My GPS initially had me on the grass between the two treed areas. I scanned many of the trees around gz hoping to spot the elusive Australian Drop Bear. Alas all I found was a very cool cache. [^] It had been returned a little low so I placed it back slightly higher. Thanks aussiealstons for placing this cache.

When we realised where this one was located, we were a bit worried because it was near the spot where yesterday's python was on the road and encouraged to wriggle off into the bush SOoooooooooooooooooo close to here! However we couldn't pass up the chance to look for this one since it has so many favourite points attached to it and we have enjoyed the other caches set by you. Took a bit of searching, but are happy to say we were successful, saw no snakes or spiders and still have some favourite points left so we can add 1 to the score Thanks for such a fun cache.
Cool cache. One of 6 we found today out with The Booyz and the first for the geowife. After much discussion about the drop bears, I reckon it was the "dropped empty beers" on the ground under the cache. Anyway a fun day and great camo cache.
Had a fair idea what to expect for this one, and soon had the cache spotted.
Nice camo work, thanks aussiealstons

We took a rather round-about route to this as we didn't realise that Lake Weyba Drive went under Eenie Creek Rd and have to drive quite a distance to Laguna St to backtrack.
Nice camo and engineering, took us a few minutes to track down.

#4461. After look around for a5 or 10 minutes, I spotted something of interest. A great hide. TFTC.
After hunting low and high and having things drop on I finally found the cache.
Was in the area to show my English friend some of my favorite caches-cache needs urgent repairs.
Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Awesome cache. Lunchtime caching. My Favourite. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo. A lunch stop to recharge, Well done on this hide...nearly missed it!
A day of caching from Boyne Island to The Gap in Brisbane. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs is a good thing.
Thanks to aussiealstons and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Looking, looking, looking - then thought about the name!! Very clever aussiealstons. I agree with the other logs - easily a favourite cache. Thank you for the fun.
Our three girls (JR aged 11; EM aged 9; JZ aged 7) competed in the Noosa Triathlon today--and what a fun time that was! They loved it. After the triathlon, a play for the boys, and some morning tea, it was time to head home... and pick up a cache or two while we were in Noosa. This was our second target.
We were keen to get going home, so while I went searching with the girls, Mrs PetAlKids stayed with the boys. One by one, the girls went back to the car, tired from their triathlon-ing. Before long, I had the cache in hand. I suspected (certainly wasn't sure!) something like this from the logs, as we had come across a similar one nearer to home. Still impressive though
After this, we headed home, two caches being our take for the day. A fun day, and thanks for having some caches to find while in Noosa.
Thanks aussiealstons for this cache. TNLN. #170

19/10/12 4:31 PM Loved this cache - the first I have seen in this format. Well done.
Put on our walking shoes today to find some caches in Noosa. Walked for hours and managed to find and log 6 caches. Had a lovely day. Glad we went out of our way a bit to find this one. Well done and worth a favo. TFTC.
Hahaha, this is a good one! You get a star of us for this very good hiding place.

Hmmm bit tricky, those bears but managed to track them down and sign log.

Time for a short walk after a nearby coffee and using the phone not the gps-flat batteries-makes for bit of a search, but applied some logic(ie read logs and thought about cache itself) bingo there it eas. The geogrannies impressed with this one. Tftc
Very clever. Looks like al lot of people have been looking by the state of the undergrowth.
Wanted to do one last one before heading home to WA and picked this one. Great work and for anyone wanting these types of caches and head to Western Australia, I suggest making the trip down to Denmark WA and completing the many on offer there. Again a great one to finish with TFTC.
Yep, no need for the toothpaste today. GPS a little scatty. Wet, tricky, after some careful consideration we had the camp-cache in hand.
Out and about up the Sunshine Coast with Teamdfl today.
It was a good thing we have done something similar recently and were on the watch for falling drop bears.
We spotted now of the dangerous types but did see a cache container. A quick sign of the log and we were away before there is any injuries.
Thanks for the cache. It is in good condition.

Out with Brother Colin again doing some hunting and maintenance today. We were both homing in on GZ when BC spied the beast
Having applied a liberal amount of toothpaste behind our ears (Vegemite sandwiches already consumed at lunch), we boldly set forth to tackle the elusive guardians of this cache. They must have been sleeping, or maybe they doesn't like Colgate, as we saw or heard nothing from them; which was a relief. We did see a very crafty cache though and enjoyed coaxing it to us so we could sign the log. TFTC.
TFTC,
What a great hide. Visited with a group of trackables who spent 5 minutes moving to different locations and looking for drop bears before seighting a tell tail sign of their existence. Well worth a favourite from me.

Out and about in Noosa, while my geospouse T-Tech has to work
This was very clever. I'd read a couple of previous logs and knew where to look, and once the iPhone had settled down made the find. Now what do I do...? Oh yes, that's how it works. Very clever indeed. No sign of any drop bears today. Must have been the Vegemite. TFTC, aussiealstons.

Good hide. I searched GZ for a few minutes and found nothing. So I stepped back to have a think about things. That's when I saw something strange and then I remembered the geo name. Got ya. TFTC SL.
Thanks for the warning. We come from the home of the Drop Bear (Victoria) and know them well. To protect oneself just rub Vegemite in your hair. it is a scientifically proven fact that no-one with Vegemite in their hair has ever been attacked by a drop bear. Redback koalas are another matter however!!
That said we did have an enjoyable search finally spotting the clever cache. A favourite point to aussiealstons.

Found with TassieGirl13 while passing through the area.
We had a quick look around but nothing really took our eye straight away.
We read a few previous logs and then thought about the name a bit.
Mmmmm I wonder??
With a new train of thought in our heads we looked around a bit more and TG soon spotted it.
Nice one!!

This was my first find for the day. THANK YOU for putting this cache far away from the majority of muggles. I was able to search in peace and take in the nice area.
After about 10 minutes, I found something a bit sus. Oh. Hmm.. Oh.. why hello there With the cache signed and replaced, I moved along.
A clever idea - everything seems to be a-okay. A nice area I had never been to. TFTC aussiealstons

Found @ 8.45am
After pulling up in the nearby carpark, we made our way to GZ. Mmmmmm another micro in the bush with no clues Ok, so the hunt is on. I knew after the two previous aussiealstons caches this wasn't going to be easy
I searched GZ for about 20 min with no luck, so I widened my search area by about 4m, still no luck. Looked low, looked high, but still couldn't see it So I stepped back and looked and dicided I needed a little guidance. So I picked up the phone and called my PAF [:o)]
As I was saying hello and talking to him about what I was doing and where I was. I spotted something..........Bingo found the beast so I said bye bye and went to extricate the cache from it's hide [^] Mmmmm............This looks familiar
I signed the log and returned the beast back to it lair

Looked for 25 mins but really couldn't find. Back to Sydney this week so any clue appreciated! Cheers
Unfortunately even after co clue I could not find the Drop Bear. Maybe next trip to QLD.
Found this one by default I am thinking [;]
Arrived at GZ and after a few minutes of searching found the cache laying somewhat precariously out in the open. Informed cache owner. Will come back and have a look when we are in the area again.
Thanks for the hunt aussiealstons

1615hrs. After solving the puzzle down the road we had to pass this one on the way out. A bit of a search and the better half came up with the goods. Great cache. Some of the camo is missing though. TFTCSL
