Found it on our first attempt. It was fun - our first find, actually! Great for little kids!
Even tho there were some earthworks going on we could spot the cache from a little distance already. Unfortunately everything inside the container is super wet and yucky and we didn't have a replacement with us. We're no fans of Foto logs but there it is again.
This cache needs some attention.

We found this one safely back up in the tree, where we assumed last finder had hidden it again.
Although the log was a little damp, it was still able to be signed, and we added a clean plastic bag.
Lovely to find this one along a quiet road.
Thanks walterhellmut

Found on the ground with the lid off the logbook is wet and mouldy which is a shame as the earlier entries u cud read from 2015 put a new piece of paper inside
With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling from Brisbane to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.
After a few nights in Clifton Beach the tribe had moved on to Port Douglas for a few nights before turning south for home. With the rest of the posse off for a day of snorkeling on the reef, I headed out alone for a day of caching with a particular focus on some unloved caches along the Gillies Highway.
After completing that part of the mission I headed back down towards Walsh's Pyramid where I had a small bundle of other caches on my to-do list including this one.
I had been lugging around my TOTT with me all the way from Brisbane and was keen to be finally able to deploy it on this trip. I was disappointed to find the cache container sitting at the base of the tree. On the upside, at least I didn't have to content with any bitey ants. TFTC

Judging by the terrain rating this should not be on the ground at the base of the tree as I found it today. As I do not know where it actually belongs I replaced it as found.
I think I'm still recovering from a jaunt to the top of the Pyramid a month ago
But it is such an impressive hill when seen from this spot [^]
I had no intentions of climbing it again today
I've been up there twice over the years ... that's probably 'nuff !!
Meanwhile down at GZ,
there was a slightly easier challenge here
And as I didn't have a ladder with me,
I resorted to other methods to nab this find
No 'orrible formic acid ants found today.
That 'anty' smell is bl@@dy 'orrible [XX(]
The only ants here today were green ants.
I find they tickle rather than hurt when they bite
And being one of the few ants that contain citric acid,
rather than formic acid,
they taste delicious if you bite them back
Thanks for the cache !!

Road trip to Townsville. Quick find while completing the mystery challenge. TFTC.
Luckily I have height on my side, so I had no trouble with the hide. Thongs were probably not the best choice of footwear today. TFTC walterhellmut
We just spent our holidays in QLD and visited this cache. Thanks to the hint and good coordinates, the hiding place could soon be found. [^]

Spending the day off work checking out some caches sort of the city. Nice to find an easy grab. TFTC
Quick find with the geo-girl minniemousejojo on this international geocaching day 2018. Tftc.
Found on my way back to Atherton after Returning from the airport
We hadn’t read the Description for this one until we arrived and then wondered if we might not get this one.
All good though, apart from some water and the damn ants, the cache was easily located, retrieved, signed and replaced.

Day two of my Cairns adventures with wombles. When we arrived and read the cache description we thought we may have a bit of trouble getting to this one. All was good though, we managed to locate the beasty without too much hassle.

Our time in FNQ is drawing to an end. So we decided to do some full on caching and left the caravan in Walkamin whilst we head out to explore Port Douglas and Cairns.
After a big caching day yesterday it was after 9am before we headed out. Another 31degrees and the humidity was rising. We headed up to Trinity beach to start the day then cached down to Gordonvale for lunch at Piefection before returning to our camp at 5.30pm.
Really enjoyed touring Cairns and being tourists using geocaching as our tour guide.

Found on the ground. Replaced in a higher location with some heavy duty and obvious covering, quite windy today as I started the drive back to Charters around lunchtime, thanks for another cache walterhellmut
Caught me this big one while out geo-adventuring just south of Cairns.
Great little idea this one.

Drove down to Innisfail today to visit the most northerly hobby shop in Queensland (don't know why there is none in Cairns) While in the area, picked up a few caches. Detoured off hiway for this hide. Easy find, left a keyring and something for the geokids. Thanks walterhellmut
Driving back to Townsville from Cairns and made a quick stop to grab this cache. The GZ was a little damp from the recent rain in the area, but this didn't affect the search for hidden treasure. Once facing the right direction, the prize was quickly spotted.
Log signed. Took nothing and left nothing. Cache container and log in great condition.
Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1586.
Thanks for the cache hide **walterhellmut**.

The plan this weekend is to find 86 caches in cairns to help my companion Burgo78 reach his 1000th find by next weekend. This is find #9. Thanks for the cache
Hitting Cairns with Team BlackPearl26 to try to collect 999 finds to set up my 1000th at my Townsville event next Sunday, 364 days after finding my first.
His log tells the story.
#77 to go
Thanks Walter

I decided to take the less risky option by not being too ambitious. TFTC walterhellmut.
Today we arrived into Cairns, should be here for a week.
We headed west into the mountains to find a few caches.
We have a similar one to this at home so we appreciate finding this cache.
Thanks for placing this cache walterhellmut

Sorry about late log but this one was a bit tricky. Dad said it was slightly different from when he found it. Tftc
Driving to Cairns again.
not muddy not wet. No climb just a very short stroll to perfect coordinates.

Found this and had fun retrieving it. Giving it a fav point for different placement. TFTC.
Thank you for another local cache. At first I tried to interpret the description as if it held clues to another mystery, but ended up being more straight forward than I originally thought. Thanks for helping me see the link between the college and the pyramid.
Spent a weekend driving up to Cairns for some caching, geoP birthday and some catching up with good friends. Found this cache in great condition. So excited to find one of Walter's caches who is loved and admired and feared for his amazing yet truly difficult mystery caches tftc sl tnln
So pleased the style of collecting this cache has changed. We remember the first cache we found with this style of concealment, it was on the gold coast many years back and we were excited then and still get a little wow when we see the same now. L pathtag SL TFTC
Today we dropped by and replaced[^] the muggled[:(!] container.
From now on no climbing is needed anymore[^].
The hunt can go on.

I looked for quite a while today and climbed everything imaginable but with no luck. Had a ball climbing trees anyway will try again!
Wasn't sure about this one as I was wearing thongs! A snake wound it's way through the leaves as I approached the GZ so caution! there was muggle activity at the nearby club that has been established. Had to think outside the square (in other words round) to find the cache. A few challenges on this one! TFTC TNLN.
My phone GPS wanted me to search in the cane fields which I knew was definately not the GZ so took my time and walked around the area that I thought would be the GZ, just as I thought about giving up I thought Id try somewhere else plus my phone gps decided to play the game (it had a rough morning caching Walshs pyramid) which finally lead me to the correct GZ where I found it!!! Found this treasure in good company of Ingrid + Walter.
Thanks again for your company and another of these interesting (in many aspects) mornings.

It really is a beautiful part of the world, loving our little vacation away. Nice quick find here and we couldn't stop taking photos of the surrounding landscape and distant mountains. Thanks for another one walterhellmut!
