Thanks to the previous loggers hint, found not one but two caches at GZ. Signed one of the logs and continued on. TFTC

I had a plan to get some caches with a fellow cacher but due to illness that didnt happen. The littlest Turmoil was accounted for so I wanted to get the bigger Turmoil out of the house, getting some sunshine and exercise. I have been looking at this Monster Lane bike ride for years and decided today would be the day. We only completed the section near the bridge and boy my legs were aching at night considering it was a short ride and an easy ride.Most caches were found quickly and without any interesting events/memories. Some, however, were a different story. Couldnt find this one the first time but found it on the way back. Grateful that I didnt have to go behind that big wall as first suspected. Thanks to MissTT for a different idea of around the back.

Our last day in the area before heading home, out on the bikes yesterday and again today, unfortunately we have lost our bike toughness, and there are a couple of sensative areas that we now need to work with. A great little series today, all containers found and in good condition. Will give a couple of fav points for the series randomly. Especially this month as the CO will get those points for the challenge.

It seems the Silurian are spreading across Brisbane. I found some in Springwood last week.

Found it. All is good but despite being enclosed the paper was damp. Still managed to sign and to be first finders fir 2023. Use the clues people, paper = important!!

Today we decided that we would hunt for monsters. We mounted our iron horses and armed with pens , tweezers and zip lock bags we set out.
All caches were found in good condition.
We had a great morning and loved the scenery along the waterfront.

At long last the day is here. Monster lane has been on my one day list for some time now well since I started caching really. I was catching up with swearah last week and we saw the new ones come through which got us talking about monster lane. Let's do it, let's go next week! So here we are one week later. Initially we were going to take the deadly treadlys but I managed to borrow some electric scooters to make the trip.
I spied this one from up top, I turned the scooter around to get down to have a closer look and what I had spied from up top was indeed a cache. Tftc barbbowman

Jodsta83 was onto this one quickly. I was still getting off my scooter to join the hunt when she announced “found it!”. Closer and closer to the pub we get mwahahaha.

Today, I started out with a visit to Tinchi Tamba wetlands, with the main objective of following a Wherigo waypoint, but it was also a good excuse to grab a new challenge cache.
After repositioning my vehicle, I headed out by bike along the Deagon Deviation Bikeway to grab a number of *Monster Lane* series geocaches, riding from Brighton Park to Bracken Ridge Road. It was then an opportunity to grab litter at the Brighton Park CITO event.
I closed out the day by driving around Newport as per the *Newport Canal* series. Unfortunately, the rain arrived in patches as I spent a few hours doing this series, in which I ended up opting for my Jeep over my planned bike ride around.

I had loaded my bike in preparation to ride this series this morning prior to the CITO. There were a few cyclists using the track today, and I seemed to get concerning eyes from each passing cyclist thinking I needed maintenance to have pulled over in a random location along the bike lane. I managed to find most of these caches from #32 to #17 without too much difficulty, although there were a few that I had issues with.

I thought this geocache was quite a tough one to find, especially from the bike path. It took a good 5-10 minutes in searching around, and eventually, I was able to spot something. In retrospect, I don't think the hint helped too much. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and from the cache I found, the last Geocacher to have visited was chamad on 31/10/2020. Perhaps like the CO, I do wonder if there are two geocaches here, that people are finding? Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this cache with 425 days [14.0 months / 1.16 years] of unfound love since its last find on 31/10/2020.

After yesterday’s caching on this series I was determined to finish this trail off today. I grabbed the bike and suggested to Charli to grab her bike and lets go for a bike ride for a couple of hours. It took some convincing but she finally relented and came for the ride.

I love caching with my girls and once I get them out they have a fun day, today was no exception. With a ride along collecting smilies and having lots of laughs, it was a great father daughter time. We did every second cache to the end and the rest on the way back. As we started our way back from reaching the last cache we noticed a huge storm in front of us, so it was a race back to collect the remaining caches and back to the car.

We completed the remaining caches and enjoyed this series of caches, Thank you BarbBowan for the great series and the fun I got today. All good with all the caches we got today.

I had the opportunity to get out on the bikes with La Kedi again today. She graciously agreed to accompany me along the bikeway to Redcliffe even though she had previously found the majority of the caches along there. Great way to spend the morning. TFTC barbbowman

No luck here again for TrickyT and I. The gardeners have mowed the area quite recently and fear this one may have had a hair cut as well. We have now decided to call it and head back to the geomobile and one last cache to get. Getting too late and cold.

Out and about today for a ride with the CO. We stopped in here so I could find the cache and finally log this one! It was a great afternoon (early evening by the time we got back, oops!) in the saddle, we saw a great sunset, got some good exercise, good company and a few caches. Winning at life!

This was cache 4 of 5 today, and at the end of today, I've found all the active Monster Lane caches. This has taken quite a few months to work through, and all have been enjoyable. Thanks Barb for a great series! And happy birthday to Monster Lane for yesterday .

out with the co on maintenance ride

Despite the rain today, I was still about to get the pushbike out and grab a few caches with the geokid. We managed 10/14 - there were a few GZ's where she felt uncomfortable and we opted to continue. Neither of us had been on the bike for a while, but it was great to stretch the legs and get up a few clicks. Only a few left on Monster Lane for us now! Thanks so much Barb for placing these caches, we are having a great time turning them into smilies.

All the caches and logs were in great condition. We dipped in TBs along the way.

Unfortunately the geokid was anxious at this cache so we kept on going. I will return next time I get a chance to go on my own!

This afternoon I decided to head out and attempt to do some of the Monster Lane caches. Had a great afternoon hunting down the caches whilst riding my scooter.

Was out this way (ish) and decided it was time to (a) get back into caching as I haven’t been doing much of it lately (b) turn this sad face into a smile.
On my previous visit there was a snake sitting at GZ so I quickly jumped back on bike and left. Today there was no sign of any snake activity. Spotted the cache as it was lying on the ground. Signed and replaced as I suspect it should be placed.
