I was out today walking another section on the Monster Lane to collect fuel for the Cosmic Quest. In all I found 8 traditionals, 1 DNF, 1 did not attempt and finished on a multi cache. I also picked up 13 TBs from one of the caches.Find number 4 today. TFTC
I had a plan to get some caches with a fellow cacher but due to illness that didnt happen. The littlest Turmoil was accounted for so I wanted to get the bigger Turmoil out of the house, getting some sunshine and exercise. I have been looking at this Monster Lane bike ride for years and decided today would be the day. We only completed the section near the bridge and boy my legs were aching at night considering it was a short ride and an easy ride. Most caches were found quickly and without any interesting events/memories. Some, however, were a different story. This cache had us laughing so much. Nothing really to do with the cache. Dont want others thinking they will have as much fun as us. UNLESS, they choose to go down the hill to try and find the cache. It is steep. I slipped. MissTT was annoyed that it wasnt on film and wanted me to do it again. No. After not finding the cache and trying to get back up the hill - to a lovely child trying to push me back down - I ended up pulling her down the hill with me. Once we had regained our composure, I found the cache. Right where I should have looked 10 mins ago!
Nice hide, great container! Love this trail barbbowman! Cache #24 today on an afternoon ride. TFTC!
Trotzdem nochmals meinen Dank und liebe Gre von den deutschen Caradoos google-translate: I cycled almost 25 km today and earned lots of yellow smilies. This treasure was there. The round was fun. Thank you very much for that.Unfortunately, some logbooks were damp, wet or even impossible to write on - perhaps a round of maintenance is in order.Nevertheless, my thanks again and kind regards from the German Caradoos
This morning we went for a short walk along the cycle path.We found lots of caches.Thank you for the Cache saysTeam sissifalke
Wow that was a clever hide and only by chance I noticed when my husband was moving things around.
Almost walked away with a DNF and as we were reorganising some heavy blocks we found it.
Look under and under if you want to find it

Our last day in the area before heading home, out on the bikes yesterday and again today, unfortunately we have lost our bike toughness, and there are a couple of sensative areas that we now need to work with. A great little series today, all containers found and in good condition. Will give a couple of fav points for the series randomly. Especially this month as the CO will get those points for the challenge.
Thanks barbbowman for the caches.

Today we decided that we would hunt for monsters. We mounted our iron horses and armed with pens , tweezers and zip lock bags we set out.
All caches were found in good condition.
We had a great morning and loved the scenery along the waterfront.
Thanks for all your work on this series.

I have access to LeDeVine for the day so decided it was time to find some “Monsters”… with the bike in the back, I ignored Geepers about parking on the Deagon Deviation and instead parked on Pomona Street…
A nice morning for a ride…
It was the hint that had me looking in the right general area…

Squirellette ending up hurting her finger slightly when returning the cache so be careful all. Cache in good condition.

At long last the day is here. Monster lane has been on my one day list for some time now well since I started caching really. I was catching up with swearah last week and we saw the new ones come through which got us talking about monster lane. Let's do it, let's go next week! So here we are one week later. Initially we were going to take the deadly treadlys but I managed to borrow some electric scooters to make the trip.
Gotcha, this one required a little stealth as there were some muggle youths playing nearby, so I called swearah over for some cover and performed the caching duties and replaced as found. Tftc barbbowman

jodsta83 is on fire at the moment. I’m literally just spectating at this point. Use robot voice to say "This geocacher is having an error". I might need to reboot myself haha

Today, I started out with a visit to Tinchi Tamba wetlands, with the main objective of following a Wherigo waypoint, but it was also a good excuse to grab a new challenge cache.
After repositioning my vehicle, I headed out by bike along the Deagon Deviation Bikeway to grab a number of *Monster Lane* series geocaches, riding from Brighton Park to Bracken Ridge Road. It was then an opportunity to grab litter at the Brighton Park CITO event.
I closed out the day by driving around Newport as per the *Newport Canal* series. Unfortunately, the rain arrived in patches as I spent a few hours doing this series, in which I ended up opting for my Jeep over my planned bike ride around.
I had loaded my bike in preparation to ride this series this morning prior to the CITO. There were a few cyclists using the track today, and I seemed to get concerning eyes from each passing cyclist thinking I needed maintenance to have pulled over in a random location along the bike lane. I managed to find most of these caches from #32 to #17 without too much difficulty, although there were a few that I had issues at.
After arriving at this geocache, I managed to find this one quickly. This cache was almost a true rideby cache! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

30/12/21 Find #5241
oday found me heading to Brighton Park for a CITO event. And with no hard and fast plans for afterwards, it only made sense that I grab a few caches once done. First I cleared off the Hornibrook in rather woeful weather with Crew153, then met up with SaintsMadHouse and ZacGyver for some ice-cream.
Having said farewell to them, I decided this afternoon would be a good time to finally just pluck another one or two off this section of Monster Lane - one day I will actually complete said mission!
Upon approach I could see where some things just weren’t quite lining up like their counterparts, and make another nice and easy find.
Thanks for the cache barbbowman.

After yesterday’s caching on this series I was determined to finish this trail off today. I grabbed the bike and suggested to Charli to grab her bike and lets go for a bike ride for a couple of hours. It took some convincing but she finally relented and came for the ride.
I love caching with my girls and once I get them out they have a fun day, today was no exception. With a ride along collecting smilies and having lots of laughs, it was a great father daughter time. We did every second cache to the end and the rest on the way back. As we started our way back from reaching the last cache we noticed a huge storm in front of us, so it was a race back to collect the remaining caches and back to the car.
We completed the remaining caches and enjoyed this series of caches, Thank you BarbBowan for the great series and the fun I got today. All good with all the caches we got today.

I had the opportunity to get out on the bikes with La Kedi again today. She graciously agreed to accompany me along the bikeway to Redcliffe even though she had previously found the majority of the caches along there. Great way to spend the morning. TFTC barbbowman
Found with TrickyT. We are now on the second half of the trail. Tricky is well on top of the scooter and zooming flat out between caches, the new mustang is going great guns. Tricky gave me use of his electric bike which I am mastering well. No crashes yet, these are magic machines, beat peddle power any day.
When retrieving this cache I managed to upset the resident 600mm long LIZARD. It jumped down and firmly grabbed onto my ankle. Tricky got such a fright and leaped back about 20 metres or so. The lizard then decided to move camp and as quick as a flash and headed for cover right up and inside my shorts. There wasn't much room left in there so I quickly removed them and evicted the reptile. It zoomed across the footpath never to be seen again.
I think tricky got some photos of the incident, and because he was so far away it doesn't look quite as big, I can assure you it was huge. All composed again and ready for what ever comes next.
All good here with your cache. Thanks for placing for our enjoyment

Ha ha, had to wait till Stairman1 logged this as I wasn't sure which one it happened at. This was a highlight of the day (for me at least). Don't believe him. I didn't jump anywhere, just struggled to get the camera working. Should have seen the expression on his face when he first realised it had shot up his leg and into his pants. Damn, which I had that on film. Finally managed to sign the log after the laughter had subsided. Thanks barbbowman. I'll give this a favourite point for the fun and a reminder for the future.
TFTC smile 7091 out and about with miss Millie geo dog all ok with this cache

Out and about today for a ride with the CO. We stopped in here so I could find the cache and finally log this one! It was a great afternoon (early evening by the time we got back, oops!) in the saddle, we saw a great sunset, got some good exercise, good company and a few caches. Winning at life!
This was cache 2 of 5 today, and at the end of today, I've found all the active Monster Lane caches. This has taken quite a few months to work through, and all have been enjoyable. Thanks Barb for a great series! And happy birthday to Monster Lane for yesterday .
Picked up the TB while I am here.

Despite the rain today, I was still about to get the pushbike out and grab a few caches with the geokid. We managed 10/14 - there were a few GZ's where she felt uncomfortable and we opted to continue. Neither of us had been on the bike for a while, but it was great to stretch the legs and get up a few clicks. Only a few left on Monster Lane for us now! Thanks so much Barb for placing these caches, we are having a great time turning them into smilies.
All the caches and logs were in great condition. We dipped in TBs along the way.
Geokid felt anxious at this one so we kept riding. Next time

This afternoon I decided to head out and attempt to do some of the Monster Lane caches. Had a great afternoon hunting down the caches whilst riding my scooter.
Just before getting to this one I bumped in a couple of cachers who were coming back the other way, they couldn’t go any further due to the swarms of mozzies. Let’s see how far I can go.

Mystery at the Museum ...
Having met the detective, discovered the required clues & located & secured all the jewels we headed north today chasing down what was needed to open the vault.
#13 of 17 caches found today.
Cache quickly found.
It looks like overzealous cachers may have been pulling the wall apart in search of this one?
Future seekers please take care not to make it any worse.
The container is squashed & cracked, the cache would benefit from a new one.
Made our mark & replaced the cache as found.

Decided to take a walk in the rain this one is cracked, no lid and currently damp (until the sun comes out)
Caching with Semik and $dork on a rainy BRISBANE day. Nice find cache needs urgent maintenance. Container crushed and log soggy and full.
Next cacher planning can replace container or as expected, CO should replace container for longevity. I just didn’t have any containers on-hand.
A quick find. This cache needs some maintenance its container is rather brittle thanks
Unloaded the bike and went for a ride to collect some of the monsters.
Stopping at every second cache to have some left for my ride back.
This one is broken. Placed a paper behind the magnet as a temporary measure
Thank you for hiding this cache barbbowman
