Had quite a lengthy search but couldn't find a cache here. Perhaps we didn't extend our search far enough from GZ. Thanks.
Alas, another DNF here.....search in behind the smaller rocks stuck my hand i various spots, but nothing could found.....
Thanks anyway C2M......
Thanks anyway C2M......
We looked for a while all around GZ. Possibly moved or covered by soil from rain since the last find???
The birds here were chirping away while we were logging. It's really humid in Townsville. We're not used to this heat. TFTC
Took a bit of searching as GPSr was jumping around. When I found it there was one slight problem. A horrible cache guardian was sitting inside. A disgusting cane toad, my hatred of them goes looooooong was back. Luckily choppersrule was with me. Signed log and carefully replaced cache as the guardian had hopped back into the hiding spot.
Nice easy find but i had to extract the cane toad from the container before we could sign the log. The log is very wet and will need to be replaced as it has signs of rust or something on it. T.F.T.C found with jusafan1107
Out caching with RobS72. It took a few minutes to locate this one. Log signed. Took and left nothing. Thanks for the cache hide Champs2Monkeys.
Out caching today with Geo-son Wolffman05. Geo-son came up with the find after a brief search.
Log signed. The cache container is in good condition. The log has signs of water damage, but is still good enough to use.
Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1440 .
Thanks for the cache hide Champs2Monkeys.

I found my first Geocache!
Nearly 400mtrs from my house
Thanks for the adventure, just letting you know it collects a lot of water and signing was a no go
Thanks again!

So, I decided to go for a drive this weekend.
Headed out from Mackay on Saturday and headed for Clermont.
Not enough so went to Charters Towers and stayed the night.
Done a few caches in Charters and then headed for Townsville.
Stayed the night and headed home on Monday.
Glad it was a long weekend.
Couldn't sign a log was soaked.

Got a lot of weird looks looking for this one, park amd grab with the geogf. The boot is a nice touch. Cheers
The difficulty is that it's very easy. Almost too easy because at first I walked straight past it thinking that couldn't be it, it doesn't fit the description. Then came back to it after a minute. Did not have to move any rocks at all. Lots of muggles around walking the path though so have to be stealthy.
A quick find while geowife at woolworths . Cacke ok. Log a little damp but ok.
Great spot. So many muggles driving and running past. Makes it hard to hide it back.
It took a while but finally I found the geocach. It is also my first one. Great job. :3
We had previously met up with JackyLegs44 for a spot of caching this morning. It was nice to put another few faces to names/logs.
GeoKids wanted to keep finding caches after our Riverway round trip walk.
After a few minutes of searching through the rock wall, we eventually turned over the correct 'smaller one' to reveal the hide.
Dipped GeoKrety Key Coin.

A late night, motel room and more than an hour walking this morning had the junior cachers workings on their own meltdown, but a quick find and the promise of lunch and shops kept them going. Tftc Champs2Monkeys.
Not sure about melt down but do know if you go at certian times it becomes a washdown!!
Went with Batman93 and Marchwood a lovely couple we just met at the event A Pub (tavern) dinner. Thanks for joining us guys getting wet wasnt fun but had a laugh

Found with PhoenixFerals and new geofriends Marchwood.. After a little battle with the sprinklers we located the cache and retreated safely to the other side of the GZ to sign the log... only to be surpise attacked by the sprinklers on that side as well. Finally signed and returned safely we left the GZ in a little meltdown of our own and headed to dry off.. Still a great adventure though
We met Phoenixferals and Batman93 in the car park after the event and headed off together to find a few of the nearby hides. Great fun and plenty of laughs.
We cut across the park from Swimland and eyed up the sprinklers at GZ. Decided to brave them out by skilfully avoiding the worst of it. Not easy in the dark. Log in hand we retired to the other side of the road to do the paperwork, just in time to have the sprinklers at GZ switch off and the ones on the "dry side" switch on. I got absolutely soaked in seconds. Would have had a melt down if I wasn't having so much fun.

Nice quick find. The cache though was full of water and the log is soaked and now full too, TFTC
After searching 5 different spots in riverside I finally found my first cache ! It is Christmas themed !
Cleaned out some rubbish, dropped off some little presents Thanks for providing a cache so close to a social venue - having one so readily accessible means it's easy to introduce people to the hobby!

After 53km of cycling around Maggie on Saturday this proved no meltdown for us. Another ride home from work and another notch in our 31 days of geocaching belt.

North Qld 2013. Day 10, the second full day in Townsville. With no kids about today it was just a short walk to get this one. No problems here. Thanks.

Another beautiful day in Townsville, after yesterday's rain.
We started out today with a drive to the dam, and then picked up a few on the way back.
A quick grab on our way out of this area. Log wet, but it is all weather paper.
Thanks for the cache, Champs2Monkeys.

We're on a bit of a find streak, to keep it going we stopped here just before midnight. The Cache was found dry and in good conditions, after we waited for the sprinklers to stop. Cheers.

Finally got the opportunity to find this one sl tnln there was some water in cache dried as well as I could. Tftc
Dropped in today while on this side of the river and made a very quick find.
The cache had a bit of water in it but the quality log was not affected and still able to be signed.
##Finders please be careful of broken glass at GZ, shoes recommended##
Cheers and happy caching.

I'd have a melt down too! Way to go monkeys - very impressive . The road was quiet today and the cache was located after a short search. Thanks Champs2Monkeys
Meltdown. I know what that is like. We have 3 little Meerkats and anyone of them is prone to a meltdown at any moment when caching!!
Wet log but still got pen to work! Interesting paper you have here.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys!!

Great spot, lucky I found it whilst coming down the hill, otherwise I might have run out of steam as well
4 from 4! All travelling well thus far! Muggle central though! I must say though Champs the cache container was very familiar! Seen a few of those over the years!
TFTC!

I'd DNFed this a month or so back and came back another time but was too muggly to proceed. Today I took another chance and managed to find it in a few minutes. The cache is listed as small but it's micro and my definition of a metre is about half that used here! Apart from that, a good hide and thanks!
Glad to cross it off. Without people hiding caches what would we do?

After HDSpringer's confusing double post, we went down and checked it out.
