Goodness, I make these searches so much harder than they should be. I came from the bottom of the track - like to get any cardio in that I can. Loads of Mozzie about. TFTC

I went down to [Pakenham](https://www.victorianplaces.com.au/pakenham) today to try and grab a few caches with the "Not in Private Yard" attribute as I only needed three more caches in order to qualify for [Jamin Appleford's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=8b39e499-2ef1-42f7-8b4e-07e9ed9799b3&wid=66162ad7-e5a6-46c0-a6be-4ffbe5c99f2f&ds=2) [WCT No Trespassers Challenge (GC9DPFK)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9DPFK).Well on my way back home I stopped for this one, my third and final needed "Not in Private Yard" attribute cache. It was starting to get late in the evening and although it had been a great day for caching, with some beautiful weather, the sun was setting quickly.I unfortunately didn't read the cache page well enough and missed the *probably better to enter from top end going down to cache rather than traveling up to cache.*So I ended up parking across the road at the bottom entrance and walked up and although it was a little bit steep it was a beautiful little hike. I was shocked how the [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3b3c72a5-1462-4d06-83bf-dbda8064778f&wid=94870048-102b-4f90-aa67-bc8efb3d3349&ds=2) found this place, unless the top entrance is better marked this spot seemed to be a hidden gem.Well it was a lovely little walk none the less. Once I arrived at GZ my phone did not want to cooperate and had me pointed towards the wrong side of the trail. It was only after a lengthy search and through the process of elimination before I checked the other side of the trail and was eventually able to uncover the well hidden cache.A big thanks goes to [AFJR-Walkers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3b3c72a5-1462-4d06-83bf-dbda8064778f&wid=94870048-102b-4f90-aa67-bc8efb3d3349&ds=2) for bringing me to this hidden gem and for the lovely walk. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

With such a long time since this one was found, wasn't too confident. Took a little while but soon had it in hand, all safe and dry.

In the area picking up the last of the ANZAC series and as this cache was not too far of a detour, decided to swing by for a look.

Parked at the bottom of the hill and walked up the steep track where the cache was immediately spotted. Signed the log, then added some more camo.

Thanks to AFJR - Walkers for the very informative cache page and bringing us to this location today.

With the new year upon us (and a public holiday to be appropriately made use of), buhfuhguh and I made an impromptu trip to kick off a year of caching in an area ranging all the way from Scoresby to Officer.
There were plenty of finds with lots of walking to accompany them, though plenty of fun was had as always, notwithstanding the fact that I foolishly didn't apply sunscreen and ended up with a less-than-pleasant sunburn afterwards!

The weather was really heating up and a walk up this steep-ish hill was definitely going to leave us sweating!
We ascended it anyway and soon reached the point where we needed to start looking.
The ever-reliable buhfuhguh had the container in hand before long and our names entered the logbook.

Thanks to AFJR - Walkers for placing this one here! Smile

Another day out and about with Brainiac03 today as we go out for a very impromptu and sporadic day out caching with no real plan or guide to tell us where we are going. Just picking caches that we're nearby or interesting to keep up going. With roughly 24 found including a couple fun multis we were happy with today's work with no DNF's. A nice cool day after some swelters all in all had fun, Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

I have driven past this one so many times but how to get to it? Well that was the hard part. Oh and finding it. I walked up and down in search of it and it was one of those that once I saw it I could not see as anything but obvious.

Thanks AFJR-Walkers for the cache.

Catching up on some late logs.

We were at home when the sun came out and we thought we should go and do some caching. As we had solved the Anzac series not long after they came out this is where we headed and this one popped up on the screen as we made our way through them.

We lived in Guys Hill and know only two well the damage that the fire did to the area and the losses that occurred.
No sign of that today, the bush has regenerated really well, in fact three or four years after the fire there was hardly any signs.

We enjoyed the walk to where the cache was located quickly and our names were added to the log.

Thanks AFJR-Wallkers for the cache.

Find #4430

Haven’t been very good of late with keeping up my weekly early morning caching run but with needing to make a few extra finds for the hidden creatures souvenirs I had some extra motivation. It was up at 5am and heading out towards Pakenham in the dark so I could try the ANZAC series and some others nearby. This was along the route and I hoped not too much of a diversion as I was under a bit of time pressure. I’m really glad I did as it was a nice stroll from where I parked and the first cache where I didn’t need the torch and the first light of the day was able to show me the way. A quick find once I got to GZ. My sixth find of seventeen for the morning. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache AFJR-Walkers.

Our first cache find for the day, and we must say this area has some terrific caches. Of course this was one of them! Geomum and geogirl took the bottom entrance and hiked upwards. It was a little slippery but we helped steady one another. Awww.
The cache was a nice size and there were some goodies, but we left them there.
Thank you AFJR-Walkers for placing this memorial, it was an enjoyable discovery.

A nice day and some caches about so into the hills once more.

A nice walk up the track, looking out for danger noodles.

Took a while for GPS to settle and the hint didn't help as there are a ot of obvious hiding spots but eventually I spied the cache from the track.

Thanks

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Decided to spend the afternoon walking around the Cardinia Aqueduct Trail as it is an area I do not know well. Very enjoyable bushland, particularly on a clear sunny day.
This was my first stop, and the most difficult find. Took me exactly 20 minutes to find the cache despite the co-ords being accurate. I kept looking along irrelevant boundaries. Why didn't I check GZ first Wink?!
Thanks, AFJR-Walkers.

I found myself looking on the wrong side of the path until the cache popped out on the other side. Log signed, cache replaced, and it was time to head home. Thanks AFJR Walkers for the cache and your story.

Out for a cache hunt! and what do I spot...a Cache on my way to collect a few others. After stopping off I made the walk up to where it said it was.
Looking left and right I couldn't spot a thing. I looked high, looked low...but still nothing. I went back through some logs and after finding them of no help for its location I saw something...something suspect...something...cache like. Sure enough. There it was. TFTC. really well hidden.

Found tonight with TrailStevo, needed a night out and escape, been a big week of illness for both of us so needed to get back on the horse. A bit of a randon race around to find a few cache, quite a few DNF's mainly due to muggle presences but we got a few. Thanks for the little adventure, TFTC Walkers

Had a spare two hours and wanted to take advantage of the nice afternoon. Trying to clear Upper Beaconsfield seemed like a good idea. Last one for the afternoon.
Parked down hill from the cache and can see why this trail is unused. Pretty steep hill that you have to watch each step.
Nice sized cache was quickly found once the correct side of the path was determined.
Thanks for the cache AFJR - Walkers

It was late in the day when I attempted this cache. There was a lovely smell of fires being lit as the afternoon air was becoming significantly cooler. A kookaburra nearby was laughing as I braced myself to head on up the track. I don't do hills very well. Surprisingly this one didn't bother me much at all. Maybe it was because I was too busy admiring the white and pink heath that was out in flower and the delicate maidenhair ferns nestled in patches along the way. Altogether it made this a pretty magical little cache for me and a great way to finish off this winter day. SL. TFTC. A favourite point from me.

Was feeling a bit sweaty during the short uphill walk, as it was rather humid today. We quickly found the cache, but disappointed the dog biscuits weren't there as I was a bit peckish. Not to worry, Kelly gave us some gingerbread biscuits once back in the car! Thanks

27-Dec-16
Found it! Today's intent was to knock over a few of the easier caches around the Berwick / Pakenham area with Jimbo80 & OHC as the latter gets back into the groove after her recent chassis repairs. The hike into this one was a lot more strenuous than expected, mainly due to the 100% humidity and perhaps a little bit of the Christmas cheer still wearing off. Once we had accented the mountain we found it without a problem...TFTC...

This was my first find of the day, so obviously I'm logging it last of all, almost 48 hours later. Intriguing little path here in a pleasant area. Was curious where it might lead, but not *quite* curious enough to actually find out. The cache's location seemed to beckon me towards it from quite some metres down the track. I'd intended to drop a trackable, but realised to my horror that I'd left it down the hill. There should be consequences for that sort of sloppiness. Thanks AFJR-Walkers!

I drive passed the start of the track at least twice a day on the school run and had never even noticed it before looking for geocaches in the area. Normally don't have time to stop, but had the day off work so after dropping off the Geokids at school, the dogs and I decided to have a go at this one.

It was a bit slippy but ok and got the HR up walking up the hill. GPS was all over the shop and pointing to the wrong side of the track so after a bit of fruitless searching I checked the logs and within a few seconds I'd found it on the other side and the log was signed. Decided to walk up to the other end of the track to see where it went, then carefully walked back down while admiring the tiny ferns and flowers, then back to the car and home for a coffee.

Thanks for showing me another hidden gem of a spot Smile

I had been in Pakenham for a meeting all morning and was now making my way home. Instead of bolting along the freeway and up Eastlink, I decide to take my time and head home through the Dandenongs and find some caches along the way. This cache was my second stop. I initially looked at coming from the bottom but decided that it didn't look the best and so went for a bit of a drive to come as recommended.

I caching with my iPhone today and it had me wandering in circles until I stopped trying to follow it and looked for the obvious signs of a cache...and of course, I then quickly found it.

Thanks to AFJR-Walkers for the cache and reminder about Ash Wednesday...it is too easy to forget about that day with subsequent events.

We found this cache today at 1:35pm as number 9 of 11 on our Tour of Upper Beaconsfield. The GPSr map was showing a bit more of a road till we realised that the road was just a small walking trail. Yet another nice spot on our tour. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A
