Cache gone, actually going to archive this. The puzzle is a bit crappy in hindsight..
As noted by TARDIS 0061 in his recent DNF, it seems a lot of work has been taking place at GZ, the entire fence has been replaced (evident by the new posts and scattered left-over building material) so it's quite likely that the cache has been disturbed / removed.
I think this one is gone spent 30 mins scouring the area. It has been recent been clean up with much of the vegetation removed. I fear the cache has been sweep away. The puzzle was simple if you use flat earth but delivered a rejection on more exact calculations. A pity a long trip for no result
I was pleased to finally get this one. It does need a replacement log though.
Looked here already, though my last look had me 7 metres left. Dug deeper, drilled down and unpacked.
An excellent puzzle.
edit- also cache 300 it seems.
Thanks Bells.

Came through here a few days ago. I had a rough guess at the location, seems I was only 50m out by eyeballing the map.
The inclement weather has caused washed a lot of stuff around. I couldnt see BA. Dug around as per MR Mr and the clue. No luck.

The cache needs a new log as the existing one is completely unusable. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any spares on me today.
I knew I would be in Marrickville today so last night I checked out unfound hides in the area and solved a couple of mystery caches to do while I was there. This one was the first of the day.
Once I came across the appropriate resources I had a solution to the puzzle which, to my relief, was confirmed first time by GeoCheck.
It didn’t take too long to locate the cache itself, though it was fairly well buried. As reported by others, the log is completely saturated and cannot be signed, so I ensured had photographic evidence of the find.
Thanks Bells Angels for an interesting puzzle and nice hide.

Finally was able to come back here free of muggles with ADI. Great puzzle and nice hide. TFTC
Figured this out ages ago but haven't had a chance to look until today. Thanks BA for a clever cache.
It's funny how some puzzles caches take hours of reading, researching, thinking and have you going around in circles.
On first glance I thought this would be one of those puzzles, I made a quick read through but needed to look up a word that I wasn't sure of, I didn't now what it actually meant......and there was the answer right in front of me !
Solved in a mere few minutes. Phew, usually the maths ones take hours!
GZ was pleasant and armed with the hint I set about searching, I had to wait a while as some school kids were wagging school to sit around and smoke but once they moved on I made the find.

Had looked at this a lot with basic techniques. Thought I ha the tight one but had trouble at gz. Found the clue but couldn't get the cache. Tried paf and went back and looked harder and soon had cih. Couldn't sign log as it is in no state to sign. Took a photo but does need changing. Tftc very entertaining.
Finally figured this one out and picked it up. Log is soaking wet and moldy needs to be replaced. Added photo as proof of find. TFTC
The shortest day of the year. The winter solstice. I needed to get out and celebrate. And I didn't want to leave it until tonight - I am no night cacher as I found out last night. So I caught to train to Marrickville. My boss tells me that the single people live at Newtown and when they get hitched they move down to Marriageville. So I followed their well worn trajectory, although I got the train at Erskineville. 10 minutes later there I was in a park not far from the station. A lone basketballer was shooting hoops across the way but apart from him there was no one in the immediate vicinity. I potted around, looking here and there, no sign of what was in a previoushint, and not sure what the current hint meant. Eventually I spotted some Christmas lights hanging on a tree. Knowing that Bells likes to use all kinds of things I gave it a good inspection and eventually decided that if it was the goods then there would have been some mention of it in the logs. So I replaced it where I found it, and nearby saw what the hint was refering to. And from there I found the cache.
TFTC Bells - it really is quite central, well if you live in Marriageville

Wow what a great puzzle! Made me realise how much I actually still remember from high school! Gets a fave. Easy find at night, logbook very full and wet so took photo. Resealed as best as poss. Cheers!
31/05/13. 1:20 PM. Cache #650. Current streak: 264 days. I solved the puzzle last night; I'm sure the average cacher would use the same method as I did. Today at lunchtime, I popped over here for a find that took longer than I expected as I could not find the indicative lettering and there was an overabundance of the, erm, outer outer camo material. As a result of which the log was also damp so I'll attach a photo of the log tonight. TFTC }:)
Coming out to Dulwich Hill Skate Park for the Concrete and Bone session so the pressure was on to solve this puzzle. Hmmmm... Had a pretty good idea of what had to be done but where to find the variables to plug in the equation? Not where I first looked. I fact, BA had inserted a cheeky little message for anyone looking 'behind' the image! Funny how so often what you need is right in front of you. Got the info, did the calcs, verified them, managed to just avoid a peak hour both-ways accident on the Harbour Bridge, parked the car and walked to GZ. Amd there it was, just where the verifier indicated. Great cache - also a good learning/practice tool to support Mrs G's current mapping studies! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
PS Every page of the log, back and front, has been written on. There's still space here and there but it will need a replacement before long.

Had to get my maths on solve this one. After the first most obvious solution failed, some googling was required. A slightly similar method gave me the confirmation i was after. With solution figured out it was a matter of time before we made the way out to do the find. Easy find at GZ.

Tried to brush up on my math for this one, but the solution was easier then expected. Couldn't find the geocoin and the log book is now full. TFTC
Calculated the coords for GZ some time back. So while in the area, thought I'd pay a visit.
Some mugglettes hanging about but seemed to not be too concerned with a 'train-spotter' looking at the Indian-Pacific loco and zillions of rolling-stock rumble by.
In: Geocoin/The Travel Slug*
* NOTE: I stupidly forgot to record the Tracking number for this geocoin (retrieved from MelRoy2012 by eveythefab) so can't update its tracking log. So if the next finder gets confused, that'd be me. Mea culpa.

Just updating the Geocoin drop-off.
eveythefab (CO of melroy2012) was most organised and was able to provide me with the Tracking code for The Travel Slug so I can straighten the records.
Happy caching!

I was fascinated by the picture trying to find the coords somewhere in the middle Then I rather engaged a coords extracting tool. 3rd BA's cache found today.

I had worked this one out last weekend, and I'd planned it to be my 450th; however, I was muggled off twice at GZ last week.
This time, with the kids in tow as camoflage, I returned to GZ to find it completely empty! However, finding the cache was more problematic, even with the hints. Eventually, I found the clue, and then jnr CC spied the cache container! SL&R.
TFTC, BA - this was a tricky one, and I'm still struggling to solve a few of your other local puzzles!

Solved when I returned to Australia and found there were some new puzzles close to home. Luckily I was familiar with the processes behind the cache and had a correct answer pretty quickly. Over the past 2 months it has crept into the Top 10 closest to home caches so tonight Zhaoy and I pottered off to GZ. The mini-maglite got a real workout and it took us a while to come up with the goods but won out after about 10-15 minutes. No muggles this time of night on a Monday hehehe
Cheers BA!
Cheers BA!

Another quality Bells Angels cache.
When I started the workings for this one I was really using inaccurate guesswork, then I discovered a more accurate way of doing the workings. This method got the desired result.
Visited GZ and made a quick find.

Thanks for the puzzle, I've learnt a lot doing BA's cache, they are an awesome intro to geocaching. Cracked two of BAs puzzle caches last night but will have to leave 'Lost Cache' for another day. Thanks for the effort BA.
With no refereeing today I went on a Puzzle Cache Hunt.
This one I had solved a while ago but the hide was elusive on a Sunday afternoon with muggles aplenty. So, I resorted to a Phone-A-Friend who provided a necessary clue.

Found it this time and it was indeed what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip BA. It is certainly very autumnal around here. I think it is great that you are always thinking of something different - puzzles and containers.
Tried to find this with the kids this morning before they were off to school late because of the teachers strike. No luck. I thought I knew what I was looking for given the hint on the geochecker but still no luck. I was hoping to pick up "Lost Cache" too but I spent all my time looking for this. Another time.
Cracked this one straight away, however I have not had a chance to visit GZ until tonight on my way home from the airport, I did have some difficulty with the hide and used a paf to confirm that I was in the corrct spot.
Finally made the find when I examnied things a bit further.

Well I missed out on a chance for FTF because we were en route to Port Macquarie when the notification came out. We solved it that night but there was no chance of FTF even though I can could have been there in 10 minutes if in Sydney. Went to GZ today, found the hint but no cache. Gave up and took the kids to the park instead. Decided to have another go (with kids protesting) and there it was. How did I miss that. Great idea for a puzzle, and it is great to have one of my own caches mentioned in a bit part too. Cheers.
2tf this morning used a less accurate approach to find cache however was still successfully
Thanks for another great cache BA

We had to collect some friends from the airport this afternoon, so a plan was hatched to pick up 4 puzzle caches in this area - 3 BA ones plus one other. Surely there'd be plenty of time if we left after lunch.
As it turned out the traffic was bad, I'd forgotton a useful clue that the geochecker offered up, and we just couldn't find it! With time running out I PAF and was reminded of the clue - arghh, I forgot about that when I checked the coordinates last night! Looked again and still couldn't find anything. Frustration had set in now and I again phoned for help. Again I searched over old ground and was almost ready to give up when it appeared.
So I solved the puzzle easily enough but needed some training wheels to help find the cache. And with so much time spent here, this was the only find before the airport! Thanks for the fun and frustration BA and congratulations to the earlier finders.

I had solved this within minutes of it being published and got up early this morning to go for a FTF. Well watching a cache means you get notifications and I received one showing the cache was found. [:(!] darn it and other such words came to mind. I drove over and parked close by. Walked to GZ and started searching around. A muggle and his dog walked past, but continued on. I then went for the hint which gave me what I needed. Found the cache shortly after and saw I was 3TF
I SL and replaced. A nice puzzle and a good hide, pretty hard if you don't look right. And yes, curse you Baktrak for ruining my weekend thank BA for the mystery, TFTC

It took me 3 attempts to interpret the puzzle before the magic words appeared. Needing a few caches for the day, and with none nearby, I set off to the very central Marrickville and its many unfound (for me) caches. Finding the cache was almost as hard as the puzzle, but once the machine settled down, I soon had the welcome sight of an empty log. Woohoo!
Odd that all the logs so far, are from over this way. Anyway, thanks again Bells Angels.
