On a 2 week holiday, we are having a great time and the weather has been very kind treating us to sunny days and loving the trees in their autumn tones,we needed a break from driving so stopped here to pick up some caches and enjoy the Happy Trails Walk, nice hide.TFTC
TFTC. Staying at Gowrie Park for a few days and enjoyed the walk collecting these caches
[9026] Holidays on Tasmania, day 10. Today we moved on from Cradle Mountain to Launceston. We took a short walk at O'Neill River, found some more geocaches beside the road and looked at many interesting murals in Sheffield. In Launceston we enjoyed a fine wedding anniversary dinner in the evening as highlight of another sunny day in Australia. This quick geocache belonged to our trip today. TFTC!
Beautiful day out for a circuit of caching starting in Sheffield with coffees to get the hearts started, and a quick GA at "the Hub", then onwards to amongst others, this second one on a lovely bush trail. This is a really Big browntop stringy bark ! Well done robtas (RIP) and the good peple keeping a watch on this one.
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Staying nearby, so grabbing a few around this area. A lovely little walk in the bushland along the stream. A good hint, lead to an easy enough find. Thanks robtas for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
In the area walking checked on this one wasnt in place had a good look around and found it about 5 meters away out in the open. Replaced in it hiding spot
After a brief sojourn on the wrong side of the track the cache was quickly retrieved from it's invertebrate captors.

While visiting Sheffield for a few days we decided to go out exploring the local area.
This series along the little trail was very enjoyable.
We didn't see that many animals but the scenery along the creek was nice.

Hello robtas thank you for the cache
I looked in the wrong tree while EeePees went to the right one and found it.
EeePees and I were on a weekend away finding caches.
This one of yours was one of many that we found.

Hi, and thanks for the cache, found with AlbyDangles on a caching weekend based at Gowrie Park, after transporting some Venturer Scouts to their statewide 'Venture' at Arm River Camp last night.
850 This is one BIG tree.
This is a lovely area.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Cheers, EPs.

Was in the area and checked on cache while I introduced a new person to caching. Cache was in good order.
Came back to finishes these off as it got to dark last night. Easy find and thanks for placing this cache never new this trail was here. TFTC.
For some reason my GPS was not co-operating and my brain distracted by what looked like a clod of snow on the track I missed this cache on my outward journey. On my return I corrected that irregularity and was able to sign the log.
TFTC, Logbooks ok for now but got a little wet so could be worth checking after another heavy rain
Was in the area so thought I would check on these caches as ROBTAS family has asked if anyone can look after his caches while his unwell. Replaced container as it wasnt sealing up correct
A quick easy find. Log was a little damp but we were able to write in it. TFTC.
It was a nice walk in the evening and we found four caches. Thank you for showing.
A nice walk along this trail to collect the few caches, all 3 were easily found although the first was drenched and will need fixing up.
Today I decided to head out into the country side, around the back of Sheffield and Devonport. With such a great day with the weather it was nice to collect a few caches.

Touring Tasmania with non-caching friends from our caravan club we haven't had many opportunites for hunting. Today we settled in at the Wilderness Village at lunchtime. While Mr was looking at the map and delightedly downloading caches, Mrs was at the office finding a local walk we could all do, which, of course, took priority. How pleased was Mr when he realised that this trail was actually the walk, albeit the wrong way numerically! Fortunately everyone seemed interested so we showed the rudiiments, including the Hint, and one of the others had the cache in hand at 3.55 pm. Thank you robtas for the hide and particularly for enhancing our enjoyment of this walk. SL. Now see our Note.
We removed the cache tempoarily for remedial purposes. It has been cleaned, given a new logbook and returned to its spot. Please replace carefully, raised to avoid water.
This log needs urgent replacement.
It may have been underwater.
It’s sodden and mouldy

Found but kinda wished I hadn’t! It is the wettest, smelliest life I’ve seen in a while!! Needs attention!!! Great walk though. TFTC
This is perhaps the wettest cache log we have ever seen
We emptied out the water but the sun was setting so no drying time left. This will need replacement as even the replacement was wet!
A quick find on a lovely walk from our campsite, the creek was certainly up from all the rain today.

Today was a miserable day and well suited to a roadtrip, sightseeing and picking up some caches. A lovely walking track once we found it. The log was as wet as the weather today. Thanks for this enjoyable walking series.
I wandered the Happy Trail today
And found a few soggy tales
Yeah this logbook needs replacing !!
Me pen actually worked on the soggy paper,
so me name's in the logbook

Tftc! My grandmother actually found this one! A little damp and water damaged
Have replaced log book as soaking wet, if only people could close plastic bags correctly...
As with #1 only more so. We did manage to make our mark but it was a "turn the pages & they'll tear" affair. Drained things out as much as we could. TFTC.
Quick find. Pretty walk. The container and log were soaking. Found on a rainy morning after staying at the nearby park. Tftc!
