On a 2 week holiday, we are having a great time and the weather has been very kind treating us to sunny days and loving the trees in their autumn tones,we needed a break from driving so stopped here to pick up some caches and enjoy the Happy Trails Walk, we had no luck here and disappointed we couldnt complete the trail TFTC
TFTC. Staying at Gowrie Park for a few days and enjoyed the walk collecting these caches Have added a FP for the awesome location
[9027] Holidays on Tasmania, day 10. Today we moved on from Cradle Mountain to Launceston. We took a short walk at O'Neill River, found some more geocaches beside the road and looked at many interesting murals in Sheffield. In Launceston we enjoyed a fine wedding anniversary dinner in the evening as highlight of another sunny day in Australia. This quick geocache belonged to our trip today. TFTC!
Beautiful day out for a circuit of caching starting in Sheffield with coffees to get the hearts started, and a quick GA at "the Hub", then onwards to amongst others, this third one on a lovely bush trail. A nice convenient find not requiring stomping through the understorey, although the designated log has collapsed, some good cacher has made alternative arrangements. Just make sure you carefully conceal the cache. Well done robtas (RIP) and the good peple keeping a watch on this one.
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Staying nearby, so grabbing a few around this area. A lovely little walk in the bushland along the stream. A good hint, lead to an easy enough find. Thanks robtas for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
We couldnt find this one yesterday and noted that the Cox Family who had left the last replacement had also reported it missing. As CO is no longer with us decided to replace the cache today to keep this one going. Cache is no longer in the log (its rotting), hint should now be SPOR. TFTC robtas
In the area, Have found this one before. Checked on it today and couldnt find it today
Was out and about doing cache maintenance. Replaced cache container at hikers paradise. Noticed this cache and decided to explore
Nice and cool under the tree canopy. Had yo carry poodle over the bridge as there was no way she was going to walk on it. Love the carpet of moss on the log.

It was a nice walk in the evening and we found four caches. Thank you for showing.
Hint made it to easy, could see the cache walking up to it before I got to it
A nice walk along this trail to collect the few caches, all 3 were easily found although the first was drenched and will need fixing up.
Today I decided to head out into the country side, around the back of Sheffield and Devonport. With such a great day with the weather it was nice to collect a few caches.

Yay. Thanks for putting together this little trail of caches. Much appreciated. Keep up the good work
Touring Tasmania with non-caching friends from our caravan club we haven't had many opportunites for hunting. Today we settled in at the Wilderness Village at lunchtime. While Mr was looking at the map and delightedly downloading caches, Mrs was at the office finding a local walk we could all do, which, of course, took priority. How pleased was Mr when he realised that this trail was actually the walk, albeit the wrong way numerically! Fortunately everyone seemed interested so we showed the rudiiments, including the Hint, and one of the others had the cache in hand at 3.30 pm. Thank you robtas for the hide and particularly enhancing our enjoyment of this walk. TNLNSL.
Not sure how geokid H saw this camo container in its hiding spot.... but thankfully she did!

Again, we dried the cache out as much as possible. TFTC. What a beautiful walk you took us on - thank you.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. We are now here in Tasmania on the second leg of our journey. We then head back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find along this very pleasant walking trail. Thanks so much for the cache.
