as I don't believe in caches being on top of playgrounds I will archive this one
I do agree with the council building all these new playgrounds but … way cool

Bohužel nenalezeno, keška na místě určitě není. Pozdrav z České republiky.
Unfortunately, not found, the cache in place is definitely not. Greetings from Czech Republic.

Pleased to have found this one because any longer and it probably would’ve been fully submerged in its hide. Ants have also taken residence . We have cleaned up the tin as best we can and have replaced back for the next cacher to hopefully find sooner
Well I didn't realise there were still parts of the Monster Lane that I hadn't ticked off, si today I set out to grab a couple while the eldest mooseling played cricket nearby. An easy grab here even with some muggles in the playground, nice fresh log too! Tftc BB

Out enjoying a day of exercise with team RoddyC and picking up a few of the Monster Lane caches along the way. This cache was completely damaged but replaced by the team, thanks barbbowman and TFTC
Hitting Monster Lane seaside today in the company of Snickersallen. Cache was broken and Log book was mashed on the ground. Replaced the lot.
Log signed and replaced. Logged at 5 September 2017 3:14 p.m. TFTC, barbbowman.

Log soaking wet & unable to sign it. Need replacing unfortunately I had no spare logs with me. Thanks.
And that's another one in this series that we can cross off. TFTC and the Monster Lane series.
After just finishing a delicious beverage at a nearby restaurant (Frozen Coke at Maccas) we resumed our night search at Sandgate for caches. I'm not familiar with the Sandgate back streets so it took a while for us to get close to GZ. I know Sandgate train station very well, also the pub across the road from the station, the RSL, Gloria Jeans and the Coffee Club but everywhere else just needs a refresher at times. As we crossed the train tracks near Deagon the lights started flashing and the boom gates started coming down. "I reckon you could have made that", came from my geodaughter. I was so impressed, but then I had to put on the cranky dad face to say you don't race with trains unless you are a professional train race driver (in case her mum reads this).
There was some stirring from the houses across the road when we arrived at GZ so we went into damage impact mode. We shone our torches in the trees looking for wildlife. This abated have the problem. The person sitting out on their verandah having a durry was going to take some extra effort. Like a professional crack team, the geodaughter grabbed the coffee cups from the car and went to the bin, making too loud a deal about slave labour. During that time I was able to grab the cache. We took our phlog (photo log) before once again working hard to separate the limelight from myself so I could return the honey pot. tftc

Out chasing monsters again today.
Find #14 and the final for the day. It hasn't taken long for the heat to kick it up a notch or two.
When i pulled up, i noticed a muggle across the road, reading a paper on his verandah.
Hooing that wouldn't be caught out, i made a swift grab and sat on the rail to sign my name. Quick check of muggle and he was showing no interest in me at all.
Returned cache and continued on my way.
Thanks for this series Barb

Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.
Now house & dog sitting in Eatons Hill. Today we took our Geo Bikes to tackle the Monster Lane Power Trail. The day started with nice mild weather and 28degrees, but it changed into a very windy ride along the coast, before the end of the day became thunderstorms and rain.
So a bit of a mixed bag weatherwise but a very enjoyable day, with some excellent caches! Love the variety of caches in this series.

Found this one yesterday on our way home . We had to wait for a muggle and his dog to move on. A quick find with good coords.
A quick find, although I did have to wait in the car for a couple of teen muggles to vacate the area.
Found today on my walking tour around the monster lane. Quickly found.

Was out this way with the family to check out the Blue Water festival. But no day is complete without a cache find so this un found one fitted the bill.
Son played on the swings and daughter was keen to complete the find. Unfortunately she was a little to short to see the clever hide but she directed me there and with my extra bit of height the cache was quickly found. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC barbbowman.

Wednsday. Kerry from Slow Puncture was out and about today searching for the remainder of Monster Lane, and also any randoms that got in the way!
Pulled up at GZ and then the compass decided to play silly buggers with me. After a while I ditched the compass idea, and looked where I thought it might be. And there it was. Excellent
This was the 2nd of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks [Blue]barbbowman[/Blue], for showing us this place.

Decided to travel down towards Moreton Bay, Deagon, Shorncliffe and Brighton to try my hand at some night caching along the Monster Lane Series. Have been a Doctor Who fan for many a year. Thought it might be fun to remember some of the characters from the show, And the chance tp pick up a few more caches on the way. Threw the trusty MTB un the Geo Truck and off. Thanks for the great cache and thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure barbbowman
This Day in History
Wednesday, January 8, 1676. : King Charles II of England is forced to withdraw his Proclamation Suppressing Coffee Houses, delivered only twelve days earlier.
The first record of a public coffee house can be found in 1475, when the first known coffee shop, the Kiva Han, was opened in the Turkish city of Constantinople (now Istanbul). The popularity of coffee, and coffee houses, quickly spread, with Britain opening its first such establishment in 1652.
Coffeehouses were commonly frequented by members of the social upper-class of businessmen. It can even be said that the successful Lloyd's of London insurance company had its beginnings in a coffee shop run by Edward Lloyd in 1668.
Coffee-houses soon became meeting spots for intellectuals and, as King Charles saw it, breeding ground for potential political subversives. Thus, on 27 December 1675, he issued a "Proclamation Suppressing Coffee-Houses". The proclamation sought to prohibit "scandalous papers, books and libels from being read in them" and to prevent the coffee-houses from allowing their patrons freedom of speech or the right to express dissatisfaction with the government.
Twelve days later, King Charles withdrew his proclamation, on 8 January 1676. Its withdrawal was forced because the proclamation denied basic human rights and was legally unsustainable. It had also become the subject of considerable ridicule.

Next, I headed to this cache. It was quickly located and the log signed. I returned the cache to its hiding spot before heading on my way. TFTC
Staying in the area and I have one of the Monster's that has become a pain so needing an "m" cache in
December today was the day, yeah right anyone want to tell the 30 or so windsurfers lined up to go out to surf to go somewhere else, so I GPS'd searched for next one as time was getting precious for where I had to be, came up with another one unfound by me and really lucky it was an easy find, signed log, on the road and got muggle son where he had to be in time. Out finding some caches with the sister-in-law while brother is at work. Spotted this trail and thought we would hit a few here. Tftc
I have been staying on the Gold Coast for a week, and today came to Deagon to visit a mate. Whilst he was at work I borrow his bike and rode the Monster Series. It just so happened that I rode it in reverse order, no problem! A very enjoyable series on a nice flat bike track. Great fun!
This was my first stop, and was only a few hundred metres from his house.
Cheers

After doing a couple of laps of the park the GPS finally settled and we walked back towards where we had originally set off. Oops! Tftc!

Not the best cache. this could get muggled very easily. Found with Jacob_Barton. TFTC
Puh this was my last cache for the day.
All together I loved the monster lane. At first I was annoyed of the traffic noise in the beginning but on the bicycle way were less people so perfect conditions to find caches. I looked forward to walk an the ocean and it was so calm. On the other side there were so many people that it was not relaxing to find the caches especially because of the muggles around. The end of the walk was my favorite! Not many people, no cars and only relaxing with nice caches!
I walked around 30.000 steps which means circa 20 kilometers in 7 1/2 hours with 50 caches which I found. For the number of caches, the monster lane is really well maintained, only some caches are not in a good condition.
Thank you so much for the lovely day, the exercise and I also achieved with this round my 500th milestone!

Mrs NZTravellers had been working in Brisbane and we decided to make a long weekend break out of the opportunity.
We selected our accommodation to enable us too specifically do this Dr Who series as we are avid fans. Miss NZTravellers was gutted at not being able to join us and wanted an INSTANT update when we did here favourite monster the Weeping Angels!!!!!
We hired a couple of bikes from the Shorncliffe township and headed out.
We really enjoyed the whole series with good sized caches and well maintained as we actually were the first to sign several newly replaced logs. All coordinates were spot on and any issues were always sorted with good hints.
A well maintained and fun series of caches a huge thanks to Barbbowman for setting this series up and maintaining it.

Our first Monster Lane cache. Despite getting funny signals until the phone decided to "wake up" we did soon manage to find the cache, sign our log and head on our way, with 1MinnieMoo very upset and repulsed by a poor little bird whose life has been cut short. TFTC

I found this cache with my mum (1MinnieMoo) and my brother (1GiantPanda). It took us a while to find it as the coordinates on mum's phone were messing up. After a while my little brother finally pointed out "maybe it's over there". Sure enough, he pulled out the cache. TFTC
Being a nice sunny day, we headed out to find a few caches in a nearby suburb.
Grabbed a few more of the Monster Lane series, while in the area.
Many thanks for placing this cache, barbbowman, for us and others to find.

My last day in Aussie before headed out, so today I spent the day caching with /dev/gc0c, and doing a few other things on the to do list for before I go.
Was a hard day caching without a GPS though, as the last of my batteries was dead, so we just had the GPS hooked up in the car, and then had to keep counting out the distance from the car!!
Did this series then, as the brother mostly remembered where they were!

Arrived today in Brisbane together with Cats&Dragons from New Zealand to have a day out geocaching in the area before heading to the Mega. After finding some higher terrain once earlier we decided to spend the nighttime finding the Monster Lane geocaches and others in the area. TFTC
Found as part of a short caching adventure before the official start of the OZ MEGA with Slieschke, Yorkshirekiwi83 & Vistra 0n Thursday 17th April. All logs were signed as "3ST"
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the drive and the caches that we were presented with (learning along the way some local acronyms SPOR which occasionally we turned in to LPOR )
Thanks for the fun of the run and the sights that we saw including a large Lizard basking in the road (swerved to avoid) alongthe power trail.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

A quick find in aquiet park. Such potential for prying eyes....
Wish I had a bike with me. My feet wouldn't hurt half as much, and I could have covered a heap more ground!
Found on a trip to OZ for the Stanthorpe MEGA. It is all about the numbers this trip, Ms KR decided to stay in NZ!
Thanks for the hide.

Last one of the day before kids legs started to give up.
Quickly found, signed and returned.
It amazes me as to how some of these caches go unnoticed for so long.

This one was a nice and quick find us and the hidey spotted from the path. spinna76 was a gentlemen and went and got it for us...
This cache was part of *SuzySquirrel*, Stacevel, spinna76 and I's sweaty adventure of Monster Lane today. After getting an invite from the team to join them on an adventure down to the Big Smoke, I was excited (as I am anytime a cache is involved). I was even more excited to hear that it was to concur the ever so famous [xx(] Monster Lane . Back in July 2014, I started this great trail with Fairy Mother and we started it on foot, that's right, foot! We grabbed the first half of the trail and ended our great walk at the bay. Well, today may have felt like cycling in an oven though doing it on bikes, compared to foot, is just awesome. Plus, the company was alright too...
Thanks for Monster Lane and all the fun (sweat, tears and cursing) we had today barbbowman.

TFTC, Recovered and returned. Another Hunt down the lane and still a bit shaken after my last monster #64. A nice park and good spot to park the bike, refill my water bottle and grab the cache in one hit.
