In Wang for a few days R&R and after visiting friends in Yarrawonga I had some time to grab a few smilies on the way back to Wang. Looked at the map and saw this series was on a bike/walking trail. I was quite pleased to be able to do them all by car as walking isn't that easy at the moment. Thanks for taking over this series tattboy1
Found on our way home to Echuca after visiting family
in Wodonga. Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks heaps

I logged this series in reverse order since the caches seemed to be on that side of the road. All containers were in good shape. Some of the logs which were once postit notes have become messy but I always found somewhere to write K.B. in red pen on some part of the log. Thanks for the caches and to the person / people who have volunteered to maintain them.
Geofamily trip to Victoria... Cool!
Mrs Moneydork, Moneydork, sushilord and I left Friday morning for a 4 day jaunt over the border to find a cache or two
Two nights in Wangaratta and then a night in Bendigo left me with 10 DNFs and 205 cache finds one of which was a FTF
Day 3 was Wangaratta to Bendigo as there is a particular wool mill there that geomum loves to visit [^] As with any family, when geo mum is happy... everyone else is [^]
Todays DNFs numbered 1 and the finds numbered 66 with some interesting caches and experiences amongst them.... not the least of them being me falling off of the walk the plank cache At least I found a PT there to make up for the fall
I'd never met purpledreamer and it seems that I missed out on meeting a lovely lady
I've only managed to find a few of her cache hides and Purpledreamers Big Purple Box is one that I really remember as it was a HUGE cache in an OUTSTANDING location [^]
Hence I enjoyed this small series and it's a shame that some are offline or achived

The geofamily are off on another trip to Mexico. Fun, sore backsides (for some) and Dad getting the geomobile stuck and breaking his bike, TWICE were the highlights of the trip. One of the running jokes for the trip was 'If it's 2.5T it's laying on the ground, if it's 2.5D it's under that pile of rocks or in the open, if it's listed as large we are looking for an eclipse tin' which came about due to a number of early finds. The lasting memory from this trip will be the grass seeds!!!
We worked our way along this trail.
Thanks for the cache purpledreamer.

#281 Sixth of thirteen finds for the morning on a quick caching trip around Wangarrata to break the drive to Dubbo. Nice easy find after a short search. TFTC
I had so much fun on our little roadtrip!
Me, boo09, becca85 & GemmaSistema headed to Wangaratta for the night.
Day 1 was huge with 50 finds, lots of which were at night by torchlight- we even got bogged!
Day 2 we got rained out in the end but still had an enjoyable day.
Thanks for some great caches in great company!

School holidays are upon us which means Team Clarmensma (myself, GemmaSistema, boo09, neisha07 as well as Ad + Luke) is formed yet again as we target another area of beautiful country Victoria.
This time we decided on an over night road trip to Wangaratta. Meeting up in Violet Town, we headed straight to Wang and our motel where we dumped our belongings and headed straight off for an arvo of caching. Lots of great finds, a stop for lunch on the side of a lonely dirt road followed by some more caching until it got dark and we decided we should probably feed the children again.
A pub dinner and off we went again with torches and another layer of clothes each. A few stops in and we managed to get ourselves bogged but were promptly saved by some nice CFA gentlemen. The adventure never stops! Finally after a DNF and we were all soaking wet we decided to head back to the motel for a Milo. A great day out exploring a region I had never visited before. TFTC!

School holidays mean that myself and my two kids (ages 5 & 7) go caching with becca85 and her two kids (ages 6 & 8 - or boo09 and neisha07). We normally do a big day out around home (Ballarat way), but we are running out of spots. These holidays we decided to head north and stay a night and cache in and around Wangaratta. After having dinner we decided a few caches in the dark was a must so the kids could use their torches! After getting bogged and rescued by CFA volunteers at the Minions cache on this road we made quick work on this series well after 9pm. All were nice quick finds which was great in the dark. So many walking tracks in this town! Thanks for the cache
A quick find today with strangely a cactus leaf covering the container! I am not sure where that came from and how it appeared there.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Another lovely day in Wangaratta - out and about enjoying the area with CAD ... Spotted this one quickly Great series T4TC:)

Day three of our month long escape from Tassie. A reasonably quick find on a very warm day. TFTC
After having a night in town we were up nice and early to grab a few caches, so Happy feet and myself loaded up on a coffee each and headed out of town a little way and grabbed a few smilies. This cache was soon found after a short search, TFTC tattboy1.
Up early to grab this series with Happy pants, before there were to many muggles. A quick park and grab.
Thanks tattboy1 for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Hi there tattboy1. We found your cache "Purpledreamers Purple Power Path # 5" at 10:39:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12361.

Today was "Purple Dreamer" day. We thought that it would be nice to attempt the tribute series for this wonderful person before we leave town. Today we ended up logging 15 and DNF'ing 1 today.
Please excuse our boilerplate logs. When we attempt a series run we find it difficult to prepare individual logs.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The majority of containers and log books were in good shape, but the post-it-note log books are in tatters and need a really big staple to hold them together.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing in the small ones, and a smiley badge wherever we could fit one.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

TFTC. On a lovely Saturday morning we had wandered through the wetlands and were close to this path of caches. No time like the present to add to our tally. Started at 6 and worked our way successfully back to 1.
Birds over head i found this cache. Bearly any room left on log will need new paper soon. I didnt have any to replace it
This one wasn't so quick to retrieve due to dog walkers. Finally got it and returned it to safe hiding. TFTC
Once again a nice easy find for Shadow 67 and I, signed log and made a few swaps TFTC
Great and easy find with NenaNine

We were out and about today, grabbing some caches around Wangaratta. We hit this power trail, which showed a variety of caches along a lovely (and a little bit busy) country road. Thanks for all the hides and the people that maintain these caches.

It's Mothers Day and mlroberts73 & I decided we'd head out and grab a few caches this afternoon.
So off we went in the drizzly rain and enjoyed a couple of hours of caching together.
What a great way to spend an afternoon!
Thanks for the cache.

Found with Jimmytherat. Really enjoying this series on a great walking track on an awesome day. Scrounging around in my caching bag for purple bits to place inside is a hoot! Thanks Purpledreamer.
Got checked out here by a local golden retriever and owner, all good so Lozza and me headed back to the ladies.
Rode the bike out to number 10 of this series then worked my way back. A quick find for this one TFTC
Liked the purple theme of this trail, walked some and drove some. Had to DNF #10 but the others were OK.
Mr Tardis is visiting family in Wang while on a visit from Adelaide. I has some time today to complete this nice trail dedicated to Purpledrreamer. I started at #15 and worked my way back towards Wang. A nice variety of purple caches along here and most were easy finds with DNFs on #10 and #8.
Getting too dark now. We had a good go at the path and nearly made it all the way.
Will definitely return to finish another day.
Needs a new log book.

Started this little series in reverse order....and as well missing the missing number 9, I had a DNF on number 8. Other than that, all was hides were fine and the caches found without issue.
Thanks to all concerned for the continuing caches.....
Thanks to all concerned for the continuing caches.....
I did part of this memorial path today but not power-walking I'm afraid. I like the path and I imagine the locals really enjoy it. It is a nice safe area for pedestrians and bike riders away from the traffic which zooms along the roadway. This cache is in very good condition.
Like others as we only had the car and not bikes so we tackled this from 15 to 1 with 10 being off line. Good to see some different sizes along the trail. Number 9 took abit longer as its a different hide and some the purple has gone but we managed the find even with the neighbours barking dog. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC and series

Suscoe's 17th find of 37 for today.
It was a tale of two halves today, before lunch steady rain, after lunch a bit of sun and wind.
A nice hide, 8 degrees, lots of stopping and starting, lots of fun and lots of rain, sorry for the standard log.
All caches were in place and the logs are pretty dry.
Thanks to tattboy1 for keeping this series alive.

[:(!] Spending the weekend in Albury with my geoson and his geofamily and what better way of spending the day but to do a caching run and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

On previous visits to Wang we had always run out of time before we could attempt the Power Trail. Today we were heading to Yarrawonga and Cobram with time on our hands and, as luck would have it, there was room along the trail to pull over with a caravan in tow. TFTC.

When it was announced that we were expected at one of the pubs in town for dinner tonight, this trail shot to the top of my To Do list, as it had been on the radar since we'd passed through town early last year, and each subsequent visit had been too short for an attempt. Not so this afternoon.
My chauffeur dropped me off at #15, and the fun began with a nice quick find. It's been a while since I last hit a real power trail, and the great exercise and good fortune continued the full length of the trail, with very little traffic either along the road or on foot to contend with.

Decided to do the odd numbers on the way in and the evens on the way back.
For this one we were supervised by sheep and birds, very glad that there is a bit of a breeze starting up.
Took dragonfly, left yellow gem.

A great power trail that we had wanted to complete for a little while, headed over to Wangaratta today. It was quite warm today so we drove most of the trail but enjoyed a stroll at certain spots. Finished up just before the weather turned for the worse and the sky's opened! Glad to see this trail being looked after!

#411 With our annual leave drawing to an end we are making the most of getting out for a final geocaching onslaught. The PPPP series has been on our list for a while and today we and the 3 geohounds tackled it on foot. We found all 15 caches (collecting odd number caches on the way up and even numbers on the way back) in the series without too much trouble and also walked to By the Green. In total the we walked 13.7kms. We then went on to Yarrawonga area and collected another 14 caches for the day taking our total to 30. Finally got home after 10:30pm! Thanks to tattboy1 for maintaining this wonderful series.
Day two of our post Christmas / pre New Year trip... taking our new tent trailer for a test run, weather was very hot and humid. Our travels are taking us up to Ettamogah and across to Old Tallangatta before returning home.
Visiting many towns along the way, taking the Geo wife to places she has never been before, and giving our Geo Pug time to sniff out new territories
Did not expect to be seeing constant temps in the high 30's to low 40's... Geo wife got to see her first live black snake on the road in Australia, and I almost stood on a 5 foot brown snake at one cache on the HCRT, and a red back spider at another.
Stayed at some nice FREE camp sites along the way and a couple of caravan parks as well, learned a lot of things along the way, history and more, but in all a great adventure and we were able to clock up our 1000th find along the way ..
thanks to the CO for this cache

Found at 11:08 AM GAFF1. A good little hiding spot for this cache. We were enjoying this series as there wasn't much traffic, we could find the caches relatively easy and there was just a slight breeze to keep us cool.

This was one of 142 caches found today during my Alpine region caching run. The weather was warm for this time of year and perfect for getting out and about and by the end I only had one DNF for the whole day.
It was a big day of caching today coming up from Melbourne to attempt the High Voltage Power Trail that was near Mt Buffalo. I had completed the trail a lot quicker than I expected (with 101 first to finds as well) so I decided to head to Wangaratta then back south via Benalla, Mansfield, Yea and Warrandyte before the final stretch for home.
This nice little series is one I have driven past on so many occasions but never had the time to stop and do it. Today I was happy to be able to finally find the caches bar one being #9 which I had a DNF on.
Thanks for the cache.

6581 + 822 = 7403. Found during a great weekend caching in Northern Victoria.

Thanks again tattboy1!

Being in the car today...I opted to complete this series in reverse to be on the same side as the trail...which made the going easier, and found I was able to park right next to many of the caches. Another cache ticked off in this series as I continued to make my way towards #1.

15:29:25 The eleventh on the journey back into town, I drove along stopping and taking a short walk to each cache. At most stops one could follow the geotrail from road side to path quite easy. The stupid part was is that I even had a bike in the back. Still a nice range of caches and a good distance apart to help get things moving.
