Driving past I noticed a For Sale sign on the land near the cache.
Unfortunately this land is the easiest access to the where the cache is hidden.
So I went and checked the cache and found surveyors pegs for the land sale very close to where the cache is hidden. Time for this one to go me thinks.
Cache has been collected. Thanks to everyone that did this cache. There was very little rubbish to see on the way to the cache now! [8d]

Good stuff brisal. Had to work at getting there, and work to scramble back. Satisfying find
Nearly over shot this on the main road. Then scrambled down to the GZ to make a quick find which I didn't expect to. then my next challenge was to get back to the car. TFTC.
There are still caches around that haven’t been visited this year, and here is another. Nice view of Mt Barker behind the railway line. Thanks for getting me to stop here and thanks for the cache.
That time of the week again, the menagerie of puzzled animal's Wednesday wanderings. Today with one of the troupe missing due to Husband duties it left the Rat, Korf an Adder to seek the elusive hides. The target today was Nairne and Mount Barker. We suggested calling in for a coffee with our missing member of the group but Mrs. Sewer Rat thought it not a good idea as poor Mrs. Brisal would probably not enjoy the company.
After finding a way down to GZ it seemed that previous finders may have heeded the description.
We did not see much Rubbish strewn around but the idea is fantastic. I may have to steal that idea of the description for a few of my own hides.

After reading the cache description, we were a little hesitant about going to look for this cache. However with good parking, we stopped and headed off down a steep slope and through long grass. After a short time we got to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. We didn't see a lot of rubbish today - was it hidden in the tall grass. Thanks brisal5 for the cache.
I remember a train siding in this area where they loaded pyrites. Bit of a bush bash and a light pole in the middle of nowhere. TFTC
No rubbish here today. A rough scramble down the slope as upsanddowns and I followed the compass direction on our way to GZ, interesting relics on the way.

Catching up on logging after a day out caching with my geomum, Doctor Owl, as I was in town, which means we just have to go caching. With no real plan for the day other than needing to do some maintenance, we wound our way through the hill until I did some calculations and realised I was only 5 caches away from my 600th cache so naturally the plan for the day developed into making sure I got my 600th cache.
We attempted several paths to get down the hill before we finally decided to brave going down the big slope. Once we were down it was a fairly easy find before we had to climb back up the slope - a feat that went a lot quicker than going down the hill. There was a little bit of rubbish around but not too much. TFTC.

Owl's geodaughter was in town and that means caching! What started as a maintenance run (with lots of caching along the way) turned into a chase for her 600th cache. It was achieved and there was much rejoicing! This is a cache Owl has driven past on a number of occasions, but today was the day to finally find a way in. Cachers have already removed all the rubbish. Just one container left!
Found. Must have been a successful campaign. Not a scrap of rubbish in sight TFTC
Funnily enough I was planning to do a maintenance run on this on the way back from an event at Murray Bridge. I happened to have Anymules with me who hadn't found it yet. Two birds with one stone. Took away the old container and left a smaller one.
Out with the CO and he needed to do some maintenance on this one. Found the old container and it was replaced with a new one.
Thanks for the cache brisal5.

Found on the way home after a day of boring containers. Container is in poor condition and needs to be checked out. TFTC
Found while out hunting my usual traditionals in the Nairne area. Was a good day, 29 trads, 2 puzzles but also 2 DNFs.
Had read the description so was pleasantly surprised at the lack of rubbish in the vicinity, did my bit (unfortunately I'm one of the 75% most of the time) and took some back to the car, which reminds me I better go get it out of the boot.
Log is damp, clips have broken off, left upside down.
Thanks for the cache brisal5

I stopped by this roadside spot today keen to find me a cache
Oh what a load of rubbish
Not the cache !!
Just what it is surrounded by !!
No point picking up rubbish in these places really.
By my estimates the 15% of the population who really don't give a damn,
will over the long term dump more rubbish than the other 85% of us ever can pick up [:o]
Of course of that 85% ... almost 75% couldn't be bothered anyway.
A quick cache find for me among the ever growing pile of cwap

found with rod81w. No snakes seen and no blood split getting to gz. Tipped about 3 hand fulls of water out of container and both the clips on the container are broken off.
Out with Sir_spectre exploring the dusty tracks. Today we targeted OTD June and September and any others we came across
Certainly a lot of rubbish, clips on container are broken but log is still signable

Out and about in the hills with Debandy picking up the odd cache in between the persistent rain.
Thanks for the cache!

Out for a country wander with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat,
Alex the muggle kid and Chloe the adventure doggy.
Not so much rubbish here - but an odd sense that we may have turned up in Narnia !

It looks like the CITO has gone well over the last four years. [^]
It was a slippery trip down to GZ this morning, and I was surprised to find the object that the cache was hidden next to. Surely it didn't illuminate the old highway, not with a manual switch, or did it?.
Thanks brisal5.

Well this was a bit deceptive. Thought it was next to the road but had to go for a bit of a walk. I can see how this can be a dumping ground. Love the post standing in the middle here rotting away. Took Parachute Soldier, left Pink Badge. Cheers.

heading back to the office after a day working nearby and stopped for a quick rest break and noticed that there was a cache close by. Headed into the scrub to check it out.
Very interesting location. The pole in the middle of nowhere is interesting. Signed log and replaced.

Replaced container and restocked. Log has dried so hopefully will stay dry over winter if properly sealed.
Today we are heading to the home of brisal5 to share some caching time with him.
We took the path that was most obvious but this path turned out to not be the easiest, hind sight is so wonderful LOL. These is a strange mixture of rubbish here and some quite large that will not be retrieved easily.
Interesting is the two survey markers which appear reasonably recent, we do wonder what they are there for. Nosey sods are we not.

Rubbish appears to have been cleaned up, and I saw a surveyors peg nearby. May be some development in the offing?? TFTC brisal5.
There's a fair bit of growth and less rubbish now.
Easy find in the obvious spot once we found our way down to the right level and location.
Not sure if the feature should be here or not. Perhaps we were in Narnia.

Caching with Loulabelle994 and geodog, Mandy on this pleasant afternoon.
Still lots of rubbish around but now mostly covered by tall grass. After a bit of maneuvering around the bush I came across an unnatural structure and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks brisal5

Less rubbish around here than there used to be. Quite tricky terrain to get down to the level of where the cache was, but once down the slope wasn't too bad to find

On a 10 day holiday in SA to do geocaching with my sister JooJoo57. Today we are doing caches from Murray Bridge to Adelaide.
Interesting spot to place a cache. Took a while to find, basically through 'rubbish'.

Found with team Lost in Cache (GrimRaider and Mr Roo) after attending the OzMega Murray Bridge. Mr Roo went in to grab this one - interesting things you find on the side of the road heh? Thanks a lot
6049 Found while in South Australia for Murray's Bridge Mega. Teamed up with some friends from Canberra and called ourselves lost in cache. Had heaps of fun finding lots of caches. Also did acouple of power trails. TFTC
Day 6 of RobS72 and my caching binge in SA for the 2014 Mega Event. This was cache #5 out of 82 for the day. The final day of Oz Mega and we had to complete one of the power trails which we abandoned a few days ago due to bad light We decided to take the old road from where we are staying instead of the freeway and grab some caches on the way before the hard work of the power trail. A quick find once we found a route to GZ. Thanks brisal5 for the cache.
Traveled down to South Australia from Townsville, North Queensland, with MattCNS to attend the 2014 Oz Mega Event being held at Murray Bridge.
Day 6 of our S.A. geocaching holiday and our last day caching as part of the Oz Mega Event. We started the morning caching along the Old Princes Highway from Littlehampton to Murray Bridge. After lunch, we mopped up the last of the Oz Mega Power Trail that we had missed earlier in the week. The afternoon was spent caching around the Tailem Bend area. All up 87 finds and 1 DNF's.
Yes there was a load of rubbish.

As we slowly make our way back to the MEGA we grabbed some caches along the way, its a shame how much rubbish is down here and once the offenders have found a convenient dumping ground i am sure they will return to get rid of some more, no snakes spotted and the cache was a quick find, i love the old power line near the cache. TFTC
I didn't see too much rubbish, but did have a nice little adventure getting to and from GZ.
Not too much Rubbish the way we came in - lots of burrs though. We dropped off a TB by the name of "Pearle's GEICO TB #2" It came from America so hope all you Australians will move it along for it's owner. TFTC
Disappointing that people have been dumping down there - most of it too heavy to remove by ourselves - maybe a CITO event could be held here with some big strong men and a few trailers?!
Found It!
What came first, the tree or the telegraph pole? And where did the road used to go?

An apt name for a similar nearby cache. It amuses me what people think they can pitch out of a fast moving vehicle.
thankfully the weather was cooler today, so no slithering things sighted or heard. Although, I must say my heart did skip a beat when there was a rustle under the long grass as a bird zipped by.

Ants have built a nest underneath it and were crawling all over. Fortunately none were inside.

Couldn't find the easy way down so Aussie Mark went in alone down a steep embankment. There was very little rubbish to be seen from where Mark and Mary were although Mary picked up a nice brand new tap that was still in its packaging. Liked the plumbing supplies but where is the rubbish???? TFTC.
Magic [8] and I picked up tahirua8 for a morning of treasure hunting. Decided to do a few local ones in the Nairne area.
Caching eyes on today as this was logged fairly quickly in a very hectic area due to the cycling.

On a morning stroll. Had nothing to collect trash with but will come back sometime !! Interesting how nature is talking over.
This would be a nice small patch of bush if it weren't for the rubbish. One of my maps also shows that this area was a rail siding.
I did my bit.
Thanks for the cache brisal5.

I was on my way home from the Toy Run setup and still needed my daily cache.
Riding the motorbike makes for interesting geocaching: have a look where the cache is roughly then put GPSr away and ride closer, then pull over, have another look and another ride and so on.
When I realised where this cache was I was very glad of two things: I had my almsot knee high motorbike boots ona nd I had my hiking poles with me [^]
Did not see any snakes or even any creatures other than birds
It is fascinating how pieces of the past remain in now isolated areas when once this was probably quite a busy spot.
Also fascinating how quickly nature hides most of the evidence of human beings having been there!
A quick locus cache and I was back on my bike and heading home to get ready for tomorrow's big day!

When looking at the map I can understand the topography of the area and a side spur of the original train line. The pole would have been part of it.

Dropped off TB and took TB. Great cache, the lamp post sure is in an odd place!!!
Grass is waist high and couldn't see any rubbish because of it. Decided this was a bit of a risk so didn't do today.
Found a way down and zeroed in on the likely spot and was rewarded with a glimpse of a cache. Certainly some rubbish around, interesting the old poles look more like railway orientated, then highway lights Left a TB TFTC
