As a cache hider I am sick of negative comments. I am strictly only going to find for the foreseeable future. It's such a shame as my kids enjoy placing caches and reading the positive comments.
Another day caching in Townsville, before we start our journey west.
Thank goodness we weren't looking for a needle, we would have been in real trouble.
Took us a while to spot it. Well done.
Thanks for the cache, AT502.

North Qld 2013. Day 11, the Third full day in Townsville. I was a bit reluctant to try this one, but I surprised myself and found it quite quickly. Just a bit of luck I think. Thanks.

Even when you know exactly what you're looking for it can some time to spot it. TFTC.
The cache description gave away the type of cache we were looking for. Even so, still took a few minutes to find it amongst the rocks. TFTC SL {#232}.

Experience cam into play again with this one thankfully. Spotted the "Neddle" and the older geo ferret retreived it and signed the log. TFTC
After a very early start to the day attending the Dawn Service on the Strand we decided to grab a few caches before lunch.
Aptly named cache. GeoP was turning over rocks as geoD was alternating between searching for a short time and waiting in the shade due to already being rather sunburnt. After about 10 mins of searching geoD found the one out of place.

Quick find today. The coordinates were very accurate. My reluctant geo husband gave up on this one but it was easy to spot the difference between the fake and the real thing.

Walked up then back and bam, there it was. Seems we got too smug about our rock finding abilities as Corika's had us completely baffled! Thanks AT502
Greetings from Oregon! Out for a sight-seeing drive with our Townsville friends. 4 pairs of eyes looked without success. Would like an extra hint.....
Too many to choose from and not eough days to allocate lookedfor 20 minutes then gave up
Our 1st DNF today.
We spent quite some time here at around 9:49:00 AM, but couldn't locate the cache.
Another 15 minutes wasted.

We don't have very good luck with fake rock caches...
Oh well, we will get it one day

As said by others, log is a soggy mess. Needs replacing. Note that no one else has logged a NM log though. Don't be afraid folks!
I was concerned I'd spend too much time here and miss my plane home however recent experience more over in the direction of Kelso attuned my brain to this. Still took me a while but I got it. As others have noted the log is mush and can't be signed. I took a photo as proof if the CO requires it.
Nasty hide!
Thanks!
Nasty hide!
Thanks!
Found surprisingly quickly, since I guessed the right end of the haystack to start at. The log is saturated and disintegrating. I managed to scratch my mark on the back of the folded mush of paper, but is in desperate need of repair.

Needs Maintanance ASAP! Log book is paper mache!
Second one of these today, getting a keen eye for them!

AHHHHHHHHHH!!! I hate fake rocks they all look the same lols. Log is very wet so may need some attention. Once found it was a very clever hide. TFTC.
A quick look but searching through rocks covered in black smelly mud is not my idea of fun.
Found this cache on our mission to find the new Kalynda Chase Caches!!
After a bit of searching Cat came up with the goods (what a relief) the opportunities are endless. Thanks for the cache AT.

#170 This was an easy find once the needle on my phone stopped jumping from one side of the road to the other. We noticed the damage that was done last night. Wish I had of come out last night. Could have raced for FTF, and taken out some pent up frustration from the week on some misguided teens.
Anyway, cache was found, log signed and the hide replaced between muggles wagons that were regularly driving past.
Got a lot of looks because of last nights idiots.

driving away from the transit lounge we were surprised to see P&P vandalising a nearby wall...... OK....... so it may have been the kids the cops were after who were actually the vandals but P&P were up to something anyway. we stopped to see what they were doing and to our dismay another cache had been published and they had just found it. geodad made a quick find courtesy of psilonikes torchlight. sl. standing by the road chatting suddenly mrs.SK says, another cache has been published..............to be continued........
Arrived here within a minute of the notify. Once at GZ knew exactly what we were looking for! We made quick work of this cache and signed off. That's when Summer's Koby finally arrived. We had a great chat with them and Psilonike led one of the SK crew over to share his torch and pen.
While having a chat about the vandal teens who were creeping about nearby somewhere another notification for just up the road is published! Caching stations again! Off Psilonike and SK go on foot while the other team members bring the cars around... TFTC again AT!
And... FTF 2 for the night!
