Logs
Driving today from Blenheim to Nelson we took a loop via highway 1 to 63 and number 6, a nice tour through the country and so many caches. We stopped here and there with our muggle friends who were patient and just enjoyed our smiles when we found a cacheLike this one Tftc
Not quite as close to the steps as we thought it would be. Took a bit to search. Found with mumandme and Kimmy+co. TFTC
Tftc out for a day walk with victoriousone, mumandme and a few others. Definitely a stump now
so close to where we camped last night had to get this once the frost melted. beautiful clear day on the lake. great views of the mountains. tftc
We are on our bikes this morning. It seems some trappers are have the same route as as, as they keep appearing. We located a very dead and hardly an upstanding beech. Tucked riggt under was the cache. The log was full so replaced. Thanks for bringing us here
Not to sure about the hint..deadish ..ummm..I would say dead as ..happy my GPS was on course..replaced the very full log many thanks
Found it. Friendly Robin hopping around
Log card full. No pencil my pen broken

Finally found after 3 attempts, reading logs gave me a clearer picture of where I should be searching..
Log wet and full , sorry didn't have a piece of replacement paper.
Wonderful area.. thanks

I had a good look around and seemed to be right on it with my phone GPS but couldn't find it. Maybe next time.
I parked at the camp ground, then hiked up to GZ. No trouble finding this one. TFTC.
Yay took us a while to find it but we just found our first cache fir the year we have enjoyed staying in a friend's Bach for a few days. Tftc
A nice hide but the hint didn't really help. Previous activity helped. Cache all good here
#10,161. Day 5 of the southern road trip. Infoferret and I decided to travel around the top of the South Island after the Mega event in Auckland at Labour weekend was postponed. Its been a great opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of Canterbury and Westland. After staying overnight in Westport we are making our way today to St Arnaud and Murchison today. The weather has been great so far on the trip. Like an early summer. But this morning its light rain and drizzle. It cleared up for a while near Murchison but the gloom has descended once more in St Arnaud.
After stopping to have a coffee and a snack at the cafe we eventually made it onto this trail to find the geotour cache. Now heading off to get the last Adventure Lab stages but before then I headed up the path to grab this one. The hint is no longer accurate but I saw a rock in a place that seemed unlikely. Checked there and yes the cache was under it. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Angelo&Barn for hiding it here in this lovely stand of beech forest.

Definitely not where the hint suggested, but a suspicious looking stone made me look under it and there it was. No, not the tallest tree, more the opposite.. Reading some previous logs helps.
Otherwise all good. Enough for today, back to the bach and then back home

How often at these bush cache do I have to pretend to be taking a photo until the muggles go by.
Really appreciated the description and clue, together it made the find an enjoyable one...as opposed to wandering around the woods for an hour looking like a kook! Cheers!
Taking an after tea stroll down to the lake so decided to grab this on the way. Tftc
Thanks Angelo&Barn for placing this cache
It was a little tricky as I had not saved it to my phone but the satellites got me close (12m) then I used my geonose.
Nice dry logsheet

Decided we deserved to have a road trip so our first stop was at St. Arnaud for the night. Booked in to our accommodation and went out their back gate onto the Black Valley Stream walk. Lovely wander through the beech forest to the lake and were surprised at the number of homes/baches hidden away there. TFTC.
What a lovely spot, a bellbird sang to us as we filled in the log book. Found with everdene22. Tftc
Parked at the lake front and walked up to the two on the track. Excellent clues made for quick and easy finds. TFTC Angelo &Barn.
Today was St Arnaud.
I had done some caching in St Arnaud before, but it was a little bit on the way somewhere else, or a handful at the end of the day. Today I decided to make it the focus.
A nice day, and successful. Had a good look around town, the lake and some good walking tracks. Only a couple eluded me today, a haul of 27 including an oldie and a virtual before I decided that was enough. Thanks all COs, an enjoyable day.

I'd found the cache at the top of the hill and enjoyed exploring the path & steps to find this one.
Thanks for the re-jig, andy.gail . I really enjoyed today's caching in this area.

Now on the uphill portion of our loop and time for this cache. Hint item has succumbed to the elements and is slowly decaying away. Found signs of the cache, so tidied it up with new logbook and bag, signed ourselves off and rehid as per hint (base of stump now). tftc
Pretty quick find this afternoon with eltee291 and crman1. Nice area/trail! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the cache, Angelo&Barn!
Found today with hingis20 and crman1. Sitting around wondering where to caching today and both hingis20 and I both came up with the idea of heading to Saint Arnaud seeing as how it was was going to be a nice day. Thing is, I was in the house and he was in the caravan when we thought of it. On vacation here from Victoria, BC, Canada and visiting with my daughter and her family. TFTC
Eltee291, Hingis20 and I are finished lunch and we are on the prowl for more caches.
Went to a standing clue item first then realised nature has outdated the clue!
Thanks
Thanks
Visiting from Auckland, staying at Kerr Bay. Afternoon walk up Gibbs track, a nice find here. TFTC
Once we returned to the car I left the family recovering by the lake and took the short detour up the track to grab this one. Found by the tree that was recently fallen. Tftc
Well some of the tree is still there, the rest is lying down. However, cache was soon located and Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear!

Found, but note the tree no longer standing quite as tall as it was previously. Tftc
An interesting twist of events had me driving a van, fully set up for sleeping and camping, so I immediately applied for leave on Friday and looked for a suitable destination. St. Arnaud has been on the cards again for some time, so it was a no brainer to head in this direction! Nice quick find in the early morning, TFTC!!
Nice to have some shady trees on this very hot day. Local caching with Edvern today. TFTC
Enjoying an afternoon of geocaching with Tramper Ted. This is one of many lovely walkways in the bush at St. Arnaud. TFTC.
This was a quick find on a nice track walk. The cache wasn't quite what I was expecting as, although the logsheet is in a micro sized container, it all seems part of a larger set up that would need a small sized container to fit everything in.
A day in the Park whilst Streetgamer is at the gliding club down the road. A lovely spring day and a great opportunity to explore this area.
I was originally planning to park and grab as many as I could today, but the park and the weather is too nice today to rush, so I ended up doing a leisurely walk from the West Bay car park over to Kerr Bay and back.
A nice wee track on my loop around town. A quick find, larger than expected, although I guess someone's added the bag to the original container.
TB out to help on its way

Had to search around a bit for this one but the location should have been obvious from the start. Tftc.
Snowy morning but when it cleared got out and about to hunt for the odd cache. Unfortunately forgot my pencil on this one #TYFTC
We're driving from Westport to Blenheim today. We stopped here to drop off 2 trackables.
Megan and I went for a short walk to have a look for it.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Last time i was here, I had posted a find log, but the log wrote that I had not found it. I mistakingly hit the wrong button. So now I have found it, and written in the log. We stayed at St Arnaurd for Easter. We had a great weekend. This is a nice wee track. TFTC.
