After the first couple of seconds I found it and reached in to grab it. Unfortunately I didn't grab it s much as I hit it. It fell about halfway down the metal and was surrounded by spiderwebs and such. I got a stick to try and grab it but it just pushed it down further and ended up at the bottom of the metal. I tried getting a stick to grab it out but it landed to far away for me to reach it with the stick. I then did the only thing I could do, dug under the metal and grabbed it with my hand. When I pulled out my hand it had three decent sized spiders on it. All in all, I think I earned this cache
Found pretty quickly. The log was wet so I tried drying it in the sun for a bit before logging.
Considering it was an overcast and miserable day, my grandad and I decided to do some urban caches. We parked nearby and walked on over. We had to wait for a few muggles to past before we went into attack. Found the cache fairly quickly. Nice hide! I hadn't completed the CC series at the time I found this cache (I think I've found them all now), but it was still a great series with all the different types of hides around a great suburb! TFTC!
The threat of rain today wasn't enough to put me off an afternoon's caching around Curtin. We've had so little lately that I only half believed it would eventuate. But it did & the cool and damp conditions weren't unpleasant. Rain also means no muggles !
There's a bit of a natural circuit of caches around this suburb that I was keen to try. I used to run though here quite a bit in younger (and fitter) days, so I was familiar with the area.
I don't remember much about this one. It's been a long day. Thanks anyway TNGD.

I'm still catching up on the logging for my Wagga trip. This is my cache for today. It was an easy park and grab, TFTC. The series has been very enjoyable, even though I haven't done all of them yet.
Looked around GZ for any place a magnetic cache may be....found nothing!
So then I looked for evidence on the ground of a cache. then I found it! The cache was open, in two pieces no log anywhere to be found.
I put in a temporary log and replaced the cache appropriately at GZ.
Thanks For The Cache to The Notoriously Gay Duo.

found the container easy enough but there is no log page present, left my mark inside the lid. tftc
This one proved a challenge but eventually mum found it! Very cool little container. Fits snugly in its location. Thanks again
So I decided to make collections in Curtin for the rest of the week to knock off a few more of the Curtin Connection caches I have outstanding. I decided to give this one a go tonight and I am glad I did. It was nice and quiet here as I gather the local residents have not made it home yet.
I was surprised to find the cache nice and quickly, was expecting this one to take a while. Retrieving it was a little tricky but got it in the end. When I opened the cache, I discovered there was no log book, hmm this is strange. I did another check to ensure this wasn't a red herring and didn't find anything else so I am presuming I had the right cache. I left some sheets of paper within with my log on it.
Can provide an image to the CO if requested

Found it on a nice bike ride through Curtin. We can hear the thunder storm in the background so this might be the last geocache of the day. TFTC
We've done this series in the wrong order probably, but this ended up being the finale to our day before a storm started bearing down on us. TFTC, cool hide

Find 11 of 13 for the day and #1574 in total.
First find in Canberra for us and a nice easy one once we got it out of it's hiding spot.

Grabbed by mrs jmanjezza while I moved the car around. It's a cute little cache. Well camouflaged.
Found on the second attempt.
A much smarter hide than I had been looking for the first time.
Thanks.

Geocache #769.
Found on Thursday, 12th September 2013 at 8:32 PM.
Conditions: clear.
Current streak #44 days.
Today's finds 36 of 40.
My 668th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. With just over a week of the competition remaining, I had some leave owing and decided to take it for a geo-adventure in the Australian Capital Territory and Canberra. What a way to celebrate Canberra's centenary, as well as the Federal election!
On day five of my trip, and after gougy2012 had left to head back to Sydney, I continued the hunt for more caches into the evening. Once at GZ, it was a quick find and I soon had the CIH and signed the log. TFTC The Notoriously Gay Duo.

I'm clearly not doing this series in order,as I'm nowhere near 20 yet! Anyway, this is a challenging location to try and be stealthy in, as you can be observed from 360 degrees, and there always seems to be activity at the front of next door. I only had an audience of about 4 people and a dog there today, as I surrepticiously scanned the area for the cache. Nice hide - it blends in nicely, and is tricky to extract.
TNLN - Thanks to The Notoriously Gay Duo!

Parked very close to it and saw it instantly. Muggles walking by, so I went to do CC IV and thought I'd come back to this one. So, I went and came back. Then an old guy was putting his bin out. Dawdle, dawdle - both him and I! Arrrgh! More muggles walking down the footpath from behind me. Dawdle again, and try to look totally absorbed in my phone. The muggles got to where I was and then, I kid you not, turned around and wandered back up th path. I mean.... what the heck? Anyway, log signed eventually.
TFTC and the whole series. I haven't finished it yet, but it has been fun.

found it after a bit of confusion and frustration. not where I originally thought it was. well hidden. TFTC
#611 - 08:50; The second of eight finds in this series for the morning during a wander around Curtin. Not sure how I managed to go from IV straight to XX except that the placement seems to have been a bit random. I'm guessing it had something to do with identifying hiding spots [?] While the weather was overcast, the rain held off and an interesting morning walk was had. TFTC TNGD
Found on a beautiful Canberra Autumn afternoon. Sadly I broke my cheap pen that I had been given by the credit union while trying to retrieve the cache from its hiding spot. Fortunately I had a pencil in my first aid kit in the car.
Thanks TNGD for another enjoyable hunt.

Headed down to Canberra with Hoojar today, we grabbed a plethora of caches of which this was one of them. The cold weather of Canberra took us a little by surprise so we made sure we were constantly on the move.
A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Some of this series proved challenging in more ways than one.
Apologies for the duplicate logs. It shouldn't detract from the fun we had finding these caches.

Found on a Canberra Caching Spree with The Rats. The weather was cold and grey, the weatherman lied when he predicted 17 degrees and sunny. The thermometer only push over 10 degrees for about five minutes!
Really enjoying all of these finds this afternoon.
Cheers

Lovely day for a stroll with whining GeoKiddies! Thanks for laying so many within walking distance.

Anzac day caching with Geodog, finishing off some more of the Curtin series
Well I'm exactly doing this in order so not the last of the series for me, Parked very near to GZ and had to wait for some dog walkers to pass by and quick find.. thanks

Not sure I should be doing the final before I have completed the series but it's just the way it worked out.
Looks like we have done the last-nearly first. Very sneaky and clever hide. Will award this a favourite since it marks the end of a series which we will enjoying doing when we have some more time to spend in Curtin.
Thanks,

Sunday 10 March 2013 - a hot autumn day at 31 degrees Celsius with clouds in the sunny sky. Bike riding in the burbs while the rest of Canbera is celebrating its 100 years back in the city. A tricky but quick find. Thx p2p, TFTC
Had us scratching our heads for a while walking around in circles. Finally saw the odd one out very clever in deed TFTC
Came up to Canberra for an Adventure Race, and stayed at a friend's place. Had (of course) checked out if there were any nearby caches, and saw that there were two. Are you allowed to do the last one first?
Had a great time collecting fourteen of this series on a lovely morning. Just love the magpies!. TFTC
Day 44; cache 44. For a place I thought would be quiet, we had muggles coming out from everywhere! T. rex however got in there quick and we signed the log. TFTC!
'2013: 44 Days In A Row' - After the kids jujitsu we needed to find a cache on the way home, and thankfully this was a quick one. All of a sudden GZ was muggle central, but we waited and got the job done. TFTC
Between muggles passing by and trying not to look too suspicious , This one had me looking for a while. Thanks TNGD
Too hot for anyone to be looking. There were a number of possibilities here, after a good look found the right one.
My fourth find for the morning and Another great hiding spot. There was a couple of things that put me off track but with continued persistence the cache located. TFTC
A nice quick find by thapatio again not sure how we missed this the first time. Tftc
Tricky little cache to get out from it's hiding place. Every time (except the last time of course) I thought I had it I lost my grip and back it went again.
Did this one while cacheing in Curtin. I did a record breaking 15 caches today many of which were from this series. My stats were increased a lot by today’s cacheing and broke a couple of record including most caches in one day. TFTC and the series
