Thought we had the spot but nothing there. Lots of gorse around, had to send Mr HG on the hunt. Gorgeous bay
What a beautiful beach, superb spot.
After staring at the wrong bank for a while I noticed some stepped on gorse on the other side which had me looking on the right spot. Gorse isn't too bad here, was ok in shorts.
Great hide, TFTC

Nice spot but dreadful hiding place. Thick horse has to be fought through. You need jeans and heavyweight long sleeved shirt.
I don't know why we haven't been here before, it is such a lovely bay. I would love a little sail boat here to idle my time away. If the bach could be rebuilt then life would be complete. TFTC.
The tide was well out today. Lots of gorse growing in the area, a bit scratchy to get to but easily found. TFTC!
What a great day to be out caching next to the beach. GZ took abit to pin down. The previous logs about prickles was a great help and the cache was soon spotted and signed. Thanks for the cache
It didn't take too long to find this cache, although it was certainly a prickly area to reach. Surely it should be safe. TFTC
Beautiful Bay. I've never been around this side before. Quick find thanks Sidewaze

Another trip over the hill, with mrs capperz and nightowl19 (Olivia) was planned as part of the school holidays visit to the South Island. After a full breakfast we set off with Kaiteriteri in mind as the destination and a lot of caches for there and Motueka were loaded in as preparation. Once underway mrs capperz was adamant she wanted to go to Golden Bay so a change of plans was in order and a trip to Pohara, Takaka and Tata Beach was the new destination. Sadly there were none of the Golden Bay ones in my G P S and a basic cell phone load was no use to make the finds. Nonetheless we managed 3 caches without G P S, 2 from a rough idea of where they might be and one from pure Geocaching instinct.
First in this area and some caches from the G P S to keep me going, yay
Nice easy find here

Tried lots of different places before I finally found it! Stupid GPS! As someone else commented, prickles! Have left a couple of long sticks nearby..
Time was marching on but we wanted to look for a few more caches before heading back home. As this had been recently replaced after our DNF, we just had to have another go. Pretty quiet at GZ this visit and I was most relieved to find that the cache had been moved and I didn't have to climb the little hillock again. TFTC.
#9048. We were back in the area showing another rellie around, so though we'd stop by for another look today. This time it was a quick find in a somewhat more accessible location. This bit of coastline was a very quiet; a pleasant contrast to Kaiteriteri. TFTC.
On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
I struggled to find this one in the area I was searching. tmann came over and found it in a flash.

Had a feeling that if the SWaT team couldn't find this cache it was probably missing. Sure enough - - - . Sorry about that.

The fourth hiding spot I've found in this area. I wonder how secure this one is .
Scarey spot for folks like me who are afraid of heights so didn't search much, just gave StreetWalker helpful hints about where he should be searching, but no luck.
The middle tree was GZ and was the most likely looking hiding place, but a thorough search failed to locate the cache. Also had a bit of a look at the other trees, but had no luck there either.

Primo indeed. A spot where I could happily spend time to watch the world go by. We were initially confused about the approach but it all came together. I'd have the old batch over the fashionable real estate any time. TFTC
After finally finding the right approach it was just a matter of a short walk to a primo viewpoint to find a cache. TFTC.
Last cache for the evening and it's name pretty much describes the spot. Simply stunning would also fit. I circled gz before sneaking up on the hiding place. +1 from me.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

New logbook. It was good to see that some cachers had done the sensible thing of logging over the penciled muggles' names while this was waiting for attention. .
Found on a day trip through this area before heading over the hill to Takaka. A great little viewpoint! Managed to find enough space to enter my name on the full logsheet by writing sideways. Thanks for the cache and for showing me this great spot.

Visiting nearby. While the kids had a play at the beach I wandered over here for a quick find. (Log is now full). TFTC.

Great place for a cache, great view. Out with my brother Knowlesie.24, he had trouble opening the child-proof lid. Had to help him lol!
great spot to revisit thanks. this one should last better than the last eh? liked it. thanks
This sure is Primo! What a gorgeous place. Plus a nice find made for very satisfying caching. Thanks sidewaze.

Primo for sure! Epic spot cheers for bringing me here. Hint makes it way to easy though. TFTC
A short stroll round from the beach reminiscing about the american cachers we met when finding a previous cache in this location. Had to loiter at GZ waiting for beach-walking muggles to clear the area but who wouldn't want to loiter in a spot like this. TFTC
A favourite for finding a gorgeous spot for a cache. Thanks

A beautiful little place I'd never been to. One of the many things I love about this hobby. TFTC.
It was just like the photo today. Maybe a bit less water but still picture perfect. Found the track and made the quick find while the rest of the team enjoyed the beach.

Awesome spot. On approaching I was worried we would be in the prickly stuff but soon clicked. TFTC
Third time we have been in this general area for a cache. Getting up to this level gave a lovely view though. Great wee spot for a cache. TFTC
Second or third time in this vicinity for a cache I think? Anyway its a lovely spot and you can see why people would have wanted a bach here. TFTC, Biggles.
we had the feeling this is private property so we sneeked in and out ...... and took some pics

A primo place to stop for a picnic lunch. Well, not at GZ, but 75m away at a picnic table. There was another group also enjoying the picnic area but they showed no interest in Mrs SoBads's wanderings. GZ was out of sight anyway but the views from it were great. Yes, it is hard to believe there was a bach there. Thanks.
I wonder when the old bach went ? lol and why? the area doesnt look big enough lol one of those illusions of space !!! A 5pm find on a lazy Sunday afternoon after visitors and house DIY was nice to have a stroll and to be beside the ocean and an uncomplicated FDF for us with Stretch0 delighted to get the FTF as well !!! thanks for the cache
Having visitors today and a bit of work on the house, putting in some new lights for our kitchen we watched with one eye all day to see who else was going to grab this one for an FDF!!
House all sorted and it was time to take a drive to an all so familiar site. What a change the look of GZ area now with the old hut gone!! Took a nice stroll to GZ and we were happy to grab this one for another piece for our FDF Challange .
We were even more surprised to find the piece of paper was blank so we were able to claim a FTF as well. Thanks for bringing us back out here TFTC
