Long weekend trip to Bathurst. Barb2e and I are collecting caches in smaller towns on the way. Here we searched for quite a while. Even had some locals stop to see that we were ok. I had also jumped the fence and looked on the other side of the fence as well as inside and outside the building, but we could not locate a cache. TFTC
Out for a drive with Just a cacher and decided to grab this as we passed by.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Quick find. They sure built them to last in those days!

It was a dark and frosty morning when I pulled up to search for this one and it took a while to reveal its self. Thanks for the hide.
A beautiful stone building. Would love to know it's story! Took far too long to find. TFTC

#7202 Last day of our "Dayboro Plan B" trip. mtrax & myself, having decided to ditch the mega came up with a last minute re-route using some of the accommodation we'd already booked and find some interesting caches. To this end we were very selective and only chose caches with sufficient FPs along the route. Today we are heading home, leaving Bathurst and heading down south via the AL on Mt Panaorama. Warm clear conditions again today, unlike north of the border
Clearly a well amde building. Pity it has been left in riuns.
Thanks Alwyn255 & Becon 4046

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
The grass here is VERY long so ended up with nice wet pants lol no issues with the hide.
Thanks for the hide Alwyn255 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild.
We hit the road early and resisted the urge to stop along way. We decided to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area. We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure.
Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.

We are enabling our caches as travel is now allowed. Please remember that Covid-19 lives for up to 3 days on plastic surfaces. Keep yourself and others safe by using hand sanitiser or gloves.
We are shutting down our caches while the Coronavirus lock-down is in place. We want to protect every finder as current information indicates that the virus can linger on plastic surfaces for up to 9 days. Many caches are near people's homes and we cannot encourage anyone to spread this virus.
Stay safe and heed the doctors advice to stay home if you can.

This was the 10th 1 completed on a big day – many thanks for the drive today – interesting location for a cache – was worried about snakes - TFTC / TFTH / SL
So cold today it was hard to open the micro cause fingers were shaking so much but eventually managed - TFTC !
No luck today. Looked in all the obvious spots. Thanks anyway, interesting old structure.
Success second time round thanks to a hint from the CO. Log was completely saturated so we replaced it. What craftsmanship there is in this structure. TFTC Becon & Alwyn
A revisit to ye auld house today
And this time when I came knocking,
a cache answered
TFTC on me way south today !!

**# 23948** Found on a fine sunny Autumn day with MrsRoosta.
Another trip around TRLT series to do the latest few sections.
Some of the roads are VMLT (Very Much less travelled) and that's a good thing.
Mainly good safe hides and nice quick finds.

Well it's certainly got a bit of age to it, glad I stopped thanks for placing your cache here. Tftc
We're spending the week end in Bathurst withWilbert67 and grabbing solved puzzles and everything else. A hot weekend but managed well. Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.
This took some looking.

Australia Day 2019, what else to do then your favourite hobby! We decided ( together with J+J.AU) to tackle another part of the TRLT track this weekend with Bathurst as our base to work from. A very warm day today, but that didn't hold ua back.

After our stay in Bathurst, today we are on our way to Canberra, and found your cache, Alwyn255 & Becon 4046.
After a DNF almost 3 years ago, today I was determined not to let it be another. After half an hour we found the original. Re-attached and took photo of log sheet.
Log signed and cache replaced at 10:20 AM on December 20, 2018. TFTC.

It was time for a big weekend caching, so I was joined by Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK for two days to tackle the new TRLT caches just East of Bathurst, This part of the trip went smoothly. I also managed to squeeze in a few more on the day after whilst traveling between the rain on Monday.
After Fitzy and MinnieK had to go home, I spent the afternoon getting more of the caches in this region. A collection of puzzles near Oberon was the main target.
Thanks.

We have looked for this in the past, today we found it, no wonder we could not before. Impressive old barn!
We have had a wonderful time caching around Bathurst and on the back roads, love the rural scenery. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Alwyn255 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Was going camping at Abercrombie Caves for the weekend so stopped to pick up a few caches in the area. Thanks for showing me gorgeous old house. TFTC
Found this cache at 10.20am while on our way home to the Southern Highlands going the lovely country track. This was a beautiful old structure of the past gone by.
Thanks Alwyn255 for the hide.

The Bushies
An interesting old house on the side of the road. Ruins like this give a small glimpse into the living conditions of previous generations.
The last find on the cache had been long enough that there was no cache trail to the cache, which left us wading through the reedy grass up to our shoulders. Eeek!
Thankfully, an easy find. Thanks to Alwyn255 for showing us.

Wish this one had had a recent visitor, to trample out a path through the long grass for us. This isn't a great time of the year to walk through it! But we were brave, and made it through . Cache was well hidden, took us a bit of time to spot, but we got there in the end.
Thanks

...and a Ye Old House it was....
Took a couple of minutes to spot the cache but all was good and we soon had the log signed.
Thanks Alwyn for the reason to stop and check out the old place.

#4733 - 16:50; Off on another day run with Sol de lune. This time we are headed to Blayney via Goulburn and Crookwell and many small towns in between. A few more in the 'History of.....' series are on the radar, along with any other caches along our planned route. We were now headed for home along some more back roads, collecting the caches off our 'to do' list along the way. Stopped by the old house and after a bit of a hunt around Sdl located the cache. Looking at the log, it seems we may have found the original rather than the replacement! TFTC Alwyn255
If the original cache is still there is it too overgrown to find. I have put a new cache there - if you find two, don't worry - sign any one.
I enjoyed the stop at Ye Auld House, which isn't a house
I could not enjoy the thrill of a cache find
If there is a cache here, then it is another 'needle in a hastack' hide

My GPSr kept pointing across the fence. Not wanting to cross into presumably private property I could not see a cache.
7157 + 849 = 8006. Found during a trip up to the Bathurst region.
Good coords had me at GZ for a quick find ! An interesting structure - appreciated the stop. Now on to the next one !
Thanks Alwyn255 !

Found it! I love clearing DNFs. I only needed a few minutes of daylight to make the find. At least I know why I couldn't find it in the dark with my little torch. Nice, easy find in the end. SL TFTC.

Out clocking up some driving hours for the geokid. My only DNF for the day. It was getting dark and my little torch wasn't up to the task so I'll have to come back another time. cheers.

searched the obvious places with no luck, but the gps said a still had a few metres to go.
got to where the GPS said 0m and cache was found very quickly.

found by imgettingannoyed and Alex Mclellan as part of the Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition
This was a DNF today, however we were given a history lesson about this place from a friendly farmer!
This was in fact a Cobb and Co Inn which was held up by Ben Hall at one stage. Ben Hall hid in the nearby gully (across the road) and the gully where he hid is now named after him.
We asked about the small windows and that was for safety!
Will be back to find this one.

Hmmm,
I do not know why I let Alwyn and Becon fool me with simple phrases like "a simple drive-by cache" .
At least not on a midnight raid (for two calendar days in one trip ), and with an iPhone GPS I hand.
After a few minutes I pulled out the 'Real' GPS to confirm the position and luckily had the CIH within about 5 minutes all up (compare this with the 5 VISITs I needed for my last A & B cache! [B)]).
A great hunt and a beauitful building. TFTH!

Took a little search for this one to be discovered and was happy to find it.
The light bulb went off and I thought this would be the hide at hobbys yard but no.
Celebrated the day at the New Bridge pub with a couple of beers chatting with budokan in NZ and had a great drive home with the tunes playing loud.
Thanks for some great caches, had a great day out.

our 1 cache for today , there has been so much traffic at GZ it made the cache so much easier to find, had not looked at gz exactly last time this time the search drew out to nearly 2 minutes

Thanx for the stop

Being unsuccessful out the road, I didn't hold much hope of finding this one either.
Luck was on my side and found it in under 1 minute of arriving at GZ and signed the log at 16:40.
I had looked at this building in the past to place a cache but just never got around to it.
Another day crossed off.
