I had attempted these two caches a couple of days ago, but I approached from the other side of Skelton Hill Rd. My CX5 wasn't quite up for the condition of the road, so I reversed my way out. An offer made by The Lost Wanderers to head out for the morning was accepted. An enjoyable stroll to gz with most of the lost wanderers and the lost child. A nice quick find, no wombats in residence742 days of unlove
Our drive to this cache was cut short by a rather large fallen tree on the road. Oh well, not much further to walk there. Upon reaching the attic team Hexapool dispersed and the hide was soon in hand. Thanks for replacing this one Bingley3683.
Even though a fallen tree blocked our geo-vehicle, it was only a short walk to the new GZ, after spending so much time in the attic on our last visit, it was pleasing to make a quick find in the attic today, the resident wombats seem more happy to share the cache now, TFTC and the recent maintenance Bingley, glad to turn our blue frown upside down finally !!!
Grabbing some exercise during lockdown what better way than to grab a few caches.
Really cool rock formation, i walked around a couple times before i spotted the cache, thanks !

We searched all over the attic, but no luck, the kind CO offered some help, but still the attic did not let us in to find the cache, I think a curious wombat has the cache tucked away safely under their bed, hopefully better luck next time with the wombat neighbourhood, thanks for helping Bingley
Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Decided to get this one as we were out walking for Bat and ball. Just too good a day not to continue by foot. Cache found in good condition
Heading home after a trip north, and stopping for caches as the opportunity allows..
After a rainy and foggy week the likelihood of a sunny day gave me the opportunity to head down to Chiltern to look for Swift Parrots at Dam No 2. No luck there so then used the time to explore the eastern part of the Chiltern section of Chiltern-Mt Pilot NP and get a few more caches logged. Very little flowering (only the planted Ironbarks in the median strip seemed to have any blossom) so quiet bird wise but some nice spots visited.
This part of the track was a bit rougher and I was worried at one point a fallen branch was going to require a longer walk but I ploughed on through and parked just below GZ. A quick walk through the green vegetation (hopefully looks like a good spring) to the wombat’s home. Doesn’t appear to be anyone home and so I set about looking for an access route to the attic when I spotted a flash of blue in a nice little hiding spot. Log extracted, a small amount of blood left behind (those rocks are rough), photo taken and on my way.

Such a clever little hiding spot! Geo kids were nearly ready to give up but than it was spotted
Out on a beaut Sunday with Shelley0 for a few walks around Chlitern before heading to the river for a campfire barbie.
Was surprised to see this was another cache with over 12 months unloved. Loved the walk and the scramble over the rocks looking for this one. So many places to search. Eventually spotted 'something' that might be a possibility covered in leaves and branches. I guess that's to be expected if it hasn't moved in over a year.
Great views and an enjoyable walk, just perfect for a cache.
Adding a fave, thanks Bingley3683

Allow a lot of time when you visit this cache - not for finding but for enjoying! A superb location which will have you scurrying to and fro, clambering, scrambling and wearing a grin from ear to ear!
With the afternoon free I drove out to this area of the park, which I'd never visited before, to pick up a few caches.
I collected 5 all up before calling it a day and really enjoyed my bush walk as the sun got lower in the sky.

I had no idea that there was a quarry up there and never would have found it without this cache. Thank you, it was beautiful up there near sunset.
Another find. No sign of mr wombat but the flies certainly dig the cool rock crevices, out of the heat. Good patch of thistles on the way down from skeleton track. Odd spot for them to grow here. Thanks again Bingley.
Parked at the best spot I could see and walked down to this one like the last we enjoyed the view while walking down. When we arrived at the GZ we came across a lace monitor searching for the cache as he seemed to be traveling same as the arrow on my iPhone. He traveled past and into the wombats home, we were waiting for a confrontational but nothing happened.
The cache was located Signed logbook 12 noon and replaced all as found.
2 x TB Visit. Then we back up the hill to the geomobile. Mrs.K still searching for a regent honeyeater eagerly.

We went over to the Chiltern National Park today for birding and caching and the weather was perfect. Loved the trip down the track to this one from the cache before. Put the car into 4x4 and off we went. Looked for awhile and then I saw a place I hadn't checked and bingo there the cache good and well... TFTC
Well had a decent look around, found Mr Wombats home but no cache. Will have target it again later and maybe bring some helpers.
Snap Happy was up visiting so it was a great opportunity to grab a few caches out in the bush area around Chiltern. The kids enjoyed the stroll and scrambling around the rocks while we made the find. No wombats today. Thanks Bingley3683.

Well the wombat is still living here
And is a busy little bulldozer by the looks of all the diggings surrounding the burrow !!
Up in the attic I poked around for a while before uncovering a well hidden, as usual, Bingley cache [^]
TFTC and the detour out to this magnificent, tucked away bit of the park [^]

We tackled this cache from Skeleton Hill Track which meant a walk down the hill. We got quite close to a mob of about 25 Roos before they finally saw us and bounded away.
We enjoyed the walk down to the cache with the bush looking so lush and green in this area. The best looking Wombat hole was found on the way down to the GZ and we have never seen one so well maintained by its furry resident.
Had a bit a search around the GZ until the cache was finally located and the log signed. A great area to walk in this time of year. TFTC

Out and about picking up another find for the calender year. Chose to once again ride the pushy around the tracks after parking closer to the road.
Very quiet out this way during the week.
Didn't see any sign of the wombat today, but I reckon he / she has chosen a great spot to call home.
Thanks again Bingley for another cache out Chiltern forest.
TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

After a very long lunch at the pub in nearby Barny, we needed a post lunch walk. The lost mobile got fairly close to the GZ and then as two of the juniors were asleep, Mr. Lost Wanderer volunteered to stay in the car. Mrs. Lost Wanderer ventured off into the bush. After seeing if the wombat was home and working out how to get to the GZ, the cache was soon found. Thanks for the hide Bingley.
Wow! I don't think I've seen wombat diggings like these ever.If you come to GZ from above there is another lair as big on your way down.Thankgod there were no wombats[^].I told the kids to be quiet because I had no desire to fight of a grumpy wombat.TFTC
Found the cache finally, a heap of leaves had blown over the top of it so had to search for a while. Saw some big goanna tracks in the dirt under the rock near the wombat den which was great.
Found this one quite awhile ago and I have lost the paper work with the date, went out with my Brother and his son and my Geolad. We walked around, under and over this one as the GPS was taking us everywhere. Wasnt till my brother went to take a picture of the boys that he noticed a blue line that was the cache. Enjoyed the walk the view and the find, Thanks Bingley3683
Last one for the day but visited some very good locations and knocked a couple of caches off the 'to do' list.
Drove "Bertha" up the Skeleton Hill Track and parked about 300m from GZ. Walked along the trail a bit further before diverting into the bush.
For the first time today, and I'd been in the forest all day, I spotted a wallaby. A good-sized fella too, but he wasn't too interested in what I was up to, as I was heading down the hill to see 'Dozer' the Wombat.
A nice, pleasant walk down toward GZ, a lot clearer in here than the three cache locations I'd visited earlier today.
Got to GZ and made sure that I kept my distance from Dozer, as being a shift-worker I know how cranky I get when I'm woken up after the night shift. A quick search above his house soon revealed the sneaky little hide. SL at 2.30pm. A great spot for a visit and to appreciate how lucky we are to have the forest so nearby to enjoy. TFTC again Bingley3683.

Another Bingley gem. We parked at the top and made our way down climbing through the rocks. Unfortunately there were no wombats around but plenty of signs of activity. After looking around this cool spot we located the cache. Again many photos were taken. Another lovely part of this park that we had not explored. Thanks Bingley for once again another great cache location.
Found it on our way to Yackandandah for the afternoon I needed a cache for the day and this one had been choosen. We drove in along skeleton hill track and the walk down the hill to GZ was made by Swampdonkey and Bushbaby321 I wandered around at the top for a while and admired the lovely view through the trees and took a few pics.Swampdonkey called to me to drive down, which I did and along the way saw roos and rabbits and the road was some what washed out and steep in places, unfortuately when I arrived at the bottom Swampdonkey and Bushbaby321 had returned to the top , apparently Swampy had called out not to worry just to stay at the top and they would walk but i hadnt heard this ....oops they had to return to the bottom and we then headed off.

A half day out caching in the area Corowa through to Chiltern. Only 15 for the day, but we got to do a bit of bush bashing in the Explorer. Had with me 3 of the kids (Jasmine, James and Jemma). They had a fun day and a bit of a late lunch in the bush at the end of it.
Another awesome spot here. I should have got a pic of "The Tunnel" here. Future finders will know what I mean if they see it. Anyway, another top spot. We managed to park about 180 meters on the high side of this one on Skeleton Track. We tried to go around to the lower and closer spot, but the track was blocked by a fallen tree. 220m walk for us, not so bad. TFTC.

Nice afternoon to be out and about. Put the geo wife on the back of the GS and headed bush TNLN TFTC
We had a couple of hours to fill in before the ANZAC footy match today & after Little Ez had just marched in his first ANZAC day march, we headed out here for a drive.
Mrs H was still in heels so stayed in the warm car, so Big Ez and the Geokids set off & this took a bit longer to locate than anticipated.
Had to use a PAF here before finally signing the log.
Another nice spot here in the Chiltern area. Many thanks.

Out and about today collecting a few new local caches, this was the first for the day.
We really enjoyed the walk in the cool of the morning, Co found the nicely hidden cache while Lostmonster was trying to get lost looking for it.
The coords were spot on but Lostmonster was looking elsewhere.,,,, sound familiar......
Many thanks again Bingley3638 for the cache.

FTF!! Yay us along with BettyBoo3747. SL at 1.31pm. Saw two goannas and a bunny along the way. Mr Wombat must have been fast asleep way down in his tunnel! Took: Pukeko TB Left: Kaoru TB, and wombat pin. We accessed this cache from Skeleton Hill Rd, so a walk up and down hills to arrive at GZ, which was quite pleasant on this sunny afternoon. TFTC Bingley3683. #1067 cache for us.
# 406. Out caching on a beautiful autumn afternoon with Harrowang, this was the first of 3 Bingley caches. Sighted a magnificent goanna on the side of a tree - I have never seen one so close or so big. We had quite a walk up and down and it took us a while to see the very large wombat's hole and to find the attic. TN, Left: Pathtag.
